Looks really good, will give it a shot.
Will also flash your custom kernel too with it.

Cool! But what does this ROM has in store? And it would be better to list down what features we should expect from this?

@Namaless I like your work. But this project of Jo-San... You must say the real sources for the tweaks... It's from sMIUI. All the tweaks. Check build.prop, and sMIUI one's. It's simply copy/paste. But Jo-San call this "Jo-San tweaks"...

Just like what you commented in the other clearvision thread. Do this have stagefright exploit also?

The cooker not know this, so the exploit is open, you can flash the patch from here for now, in this few days I think him release a patch and new version of the rom: http://www.mediafire.com/download/gi4113dll3g98l6/Disable_Stagefright_by+build.prop_v2.zip (source http://forum.xda-developers.com/red...d-enable-clearmotion-miui-based-roms-t3278552)

What you need to know? I not the modder of the camera but I can send your request to him

About the camera 60fps, is it the same mod published in xda a few weeks ago which modifys media_profiles.xml?
That would mean it has the downside that turns the image very dark

Just ask if its a mod with media_profiles.xml file, if it is, its not 60fps but about 43fps. If not, ask what did he do, some library files, framework or etc. Its very important for changing this phone to better

I not follow all the internal thread with the modder, but I know this mod need some camera libs, and the app is changed, I can ask to him where found the idea or the sources of this

That would be awesome.. I can do 720p 120FPS on AOSP with modded camera, but no lib. So this phone can do 1080p 60fps and propably 2k videos at 30fps, but the devs from Xiaomi dont want that feature? Its so sad..
Anyway, waiting for info here, thx mate

Ok, thanks
So then If it´s not the media profiles thing, would be great If he want to share the mod for using with weekly EU
The reason I prefer the EU rom is because it´s strictly updated every friday....plus I prefer the stock apparianece (btw is it a theme or cant be changed?)

Ok the camera is a porting from mi4c made by own modder.
No one theme changed, only bootanimation and if you want you can use the wallpaper (not set default).

This kernel is based on Semaphore Kernel by stratosk with a few changes I felt to be missing in Semaphore.
This kernel combines the speed and stability of semaphore along with few additions for the best combination.
It is compatible with all KK 4.4 ROMs based on official CM10.2 layout.
Kernel versions 3.3.0 and lower are compatible with JB 4.3.x.
Kernel versions 2.9.0 and lower are compatible with JB 4.2.x.
Differences with Semaphore
Entropy tweaks
Patched for 720p usage
Kernel Samepage Merging (KSM) enabled
ZRAM enabled as module (usable via init.d script, attached below)
SWAP enabled
FRANDOM module included
Some Kernel Debug related stuff disabled
Wheatley Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Intellidemand Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Lulzactive Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)

A bit more RAM ( 1MB more )
Read Ahead increased to 1024kB max
Using Neon instead of SoftVFP
Ondemand , Conservative , smartassv2 , lulzactive , lazy and interactive tweaked
ROW , SIO , SIOPlus , Deadline , BFQ and CFQ Scheduler tweaked
Normal OC Steps ( upto 1400MHz )

Re: [JB 4.2.1][KERNEL] Semaphore Plus
ts1506 said:
This kernel is based on Semaphore Kernel by stratosk with a few changes I felt to be missing in semaphore.
This kernel combines the speed and stability of semaphore along with few additions for the best possible combinations.
It is compatible with all JB 4.2.x ROMs based on official CM10.1 layout.
Differences with Semaphore
General Features
Thanks to
Stratosk for his source and help
All people on stratosk's list
Point to note
In S Version , Hugemem Libs must be flashed for 720p record to work
In both versions , ticking bigmem will break 720p recording.
Tar version must be flashed with Odin/Heimdall , zip with CWM/TWRP.
I expect to get more features in the differences soon, including ISO CDROM functionality , normal OC ( upto 1400MHz ) and other features.
This build will be updated when stratosk makes new version , or when I have lots of new additions.
All bug report of this kernel must be posted in this thread , please do not disturb stratosk regarding this kernel.
Please use it at your own risk! I am not responsible for any damage that may occur to your device.

ARM Coresight is a tool used to debug and trace issues in ARM based processors. It unnecessarily adds a load to the CPU , so I disabled it.
For XZ Compression you can read it here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xz

I once asked Stratos why he doesn't use xz, and he told me that he uses a better compression method. Anyways, good job and have fun with further development of your kernel!

Thanks for the info . I will try both and decide then.
I am going to upload build which will change the name of the kernel to something else, as stratosk doesnt want the name Semaphore in the kernel.

a god thing would be autopatching 720p libs like derteufel
this would be a great advantage compared with original semaphore
A god? You can always pray for that to happen!

Since they are 2 versions , s and non-s, this can easily be rectified by adding the Hugemem libs in the zip.
Will do it soon.
Re: [JB 4.2][KERNEL] Unofficial Semaphore+ (name to be changed soon)
Oh... So this is what you pm'ed me about. I see. So, is there gonna be a nolvm version?

Since it is based on Semaphore sources , it can be controlled completely using Semaphore manager.

Is it normal, that the statusbar needs a lot of time (~2 minutes) to appear sometimes? The Fix for a black statusbar (quoted in the installing-instructions) didn't help itself, it just seems to need...time.
Other than that:
Awesome rom - great design, very fast app launching (for this device at least ), scrolling and impressive ram-usage. :good:

yes, you alright about black statsbar in the first boot, because of Statsbar greper layout needs a lot of time to launch until scaning sd card completed, but not 2minute in my test, i only have ±1minute of time for appearing the statusbar

Hm. While I still love this rom, the Greper statusbar doesn't like me it seems.
After a long idle time, it just goes black - I really didn't do anything to provoke it ^^
Only thing fixing it temporarly is a reboot (then it takes, like you said, about 30 seconds before it shows).
Probably just my phone

We don't have the source, if we have the source the first features is overclock
I edit the ramdisk and added the features directly so you can use every features in every miui rom (developer/stable global/china or modded example smiui). Plus you can use the scripts into init.d with much features related to memory apps or other tweaks. I think to post after stable release the scripts i think is good to use and i don't include in the ramdisk because is related to the system and not to the device.
MIUI (which stands for Mi User Interface and pronounced "Me You I", a play on the common abbreviation of the words user interface as UI), developed by Xiaomi Tech, is a stock and aftermarket firmware for smartphones and tablet computers based on the free software Android operating system. MIUI includes various features such as theming support.
NOTE: This is a cooked KERNEL.

Hi,
I wonder why disable ASLR?
This is about security isn't it?
will it work on 7.0.12?
This Kernel works on MIUI7 Beta 6.1.5 as well.

ASLR not related to the security but to memory management, you can find more informations about it here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/3183...sable-aslr-address-space-layout-randomization
Related to "why" i disabled for get more impact to my modifications, when we see it's all working fine enable again because in android is useless to remove it

The kernel is the same get from the stable v7.1.1.0 so working fine with every miui version
You can post the screenshot where you see the kernel version into the new dev rom 6.1.5? I wanna update my kernel with the latest but I don't use the dev version so in the case the dev kernel is updated related to the stable kernel I wanna try it

Thinking about trying your kernel.
You mentioned Added Google DNS for the best DNS performance. Can I disable this and if so how? Google DNS servers are blocked via my router.

About Project:
Citrus-CAF, unlike the name suggests, was initially based off CyanogenMod, in the early days of Marshmallow, we even had another name at that point. Later, taking into consideration feedbacks of the very first slew of testers and carefully studying the needs and demands of our users, we rebased the project to Code Aurora Sources, more commonly known as CAF. Time went by and Nougat released, and we decided that it was time, Citrus-CAF had to see the daylight. We rebased everything to the brank spanking Nougat released. Later we realized the true potential of CAF tags, how each of them altered the device performance on different SOCs. After a lot of thinking, we decided to keep different sources for difference SOCs in our git and hours of debugging later, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was the first device to get a taste of our Tangy Nougat. In the beginning, it was just two people behind , but in time, a lot of people joined us, as each giving their own contibutions.
Citrus-CAF was built to create an amazing combination of customization, performance and most of the demanded features by our users, whereas we've Cardinal, to deliver minimal customizations, but the greatest stability!
Meanwhile, all of our Tangy sources are publicly available on our Github. We also do own a Google+ Community, where you can.... uhm... you know, do what all others do at forums and communities! (Just kidding, we got builds over there and a feature-wish bucket too ) Hope you enjoy your stay and taste the Tanginess of our work!
Out of lemon, with love!
NOTE: There's nothing like, "we've decided to keep the customizations minimum, so as to provide stock AOSP experience, but with necessary features", cause this isn't Cardinal. This is Citrus

Hi, I believe that TitaniumOS is great rom.
However it seems that there is below issue.
First booting after first installing to device, device can make the bootanimation stop normal.
However, in the case that restorig using the backup file made by twrp3.3.1, device could not make the bootanimation stop.
I found this issue by the file downloaded from sourceforge.net ..
Addtionally, By myself, I am trying to solve this issue.
I believe that files under below link is relating this issue. But, at this time, I can not find countermeasure.

Change AOSIP_BUILD to TITANIUM_BUILD in the build/core/Makefile
https://github.com/TitaniumOS/build/blob/5646b42c59fb01b8aba25/core/Makefile#L4304-L4312
Original code
HTML:
ifeq ($(WITH_GMS),true)
$(INTERNAL_OTA_PACKAGE_TARGET): backuptool := false
else
ifneq ($(AOSIP_BUILD),)
$(INTERNAL_OTA_PACKAGE_TARGET): backuptool := true
else
$(INTERNAL_OTA_PACKAGE_TARGET): backuptool := false
endif
endif
Change AOSIP_BUILD to TITANIUM_BUILD
Revised code
HTML:
ifeq ($(WITH_GMS),true)
$(INTERNAL_OTA_PACKAGE_TARGET): backuptool := false
else
ifneq ($(TITANIUM_BUILD),)
$(INTERNAL_OTA_PACKAGE_TARGET): backuptool := true
else
$(INTERNAL_OTA_PACKAGE_TARGET): backuptool := false
endif
endif
Reason:
The initial setting of backuptool is as follows in ota_from_target_files.py,
HTML:
OPTIONS.backuptool = False
To perform a backup and
HTML:
if OPTIONS.backuptool:
script.RunBackup ("backup", sysmount)
To perform a restore
HTML:
if OPTIONS.backuptool:
script.ShowProgress (0.02, 10)
script.RunBackup ("restore", sysmount)
Regarding TITANIUM_BUILD, there is below code in function of check_product at build/envsetup.sh
HTML:
if (echo -n $1 | grep -q -e "^titanium_") ; then
TITANIUM_BUILD=$(echo -n $1 | sed -e 's/^titanium_//g')
else
TITANIUM_BUILD=
fi
export TITANIUM_BUILD
