Google account sign in with browser not working

hello,
I have a Galaxy Nexus and just fresh installed the latest nightly from CM and the latest gapps Nano, when I want to add my google account though it says it needs a browser sign-in so I sign-in from the browser (2 step verification) and after the successful sign-in my account shows up in the browser but the sign-in process doesn't continue, I can browse my account and stuff but I'm stuck there, do I need to press something ? the only option I have from the sign-in screen is "Exit browser sign-in" and if I do that the account does not appear in the list.
Thank you in advance for any assistance
I'm having the exact same issue! On my umi zero...its super weird

I had something similar happen when loading up a 4.3 ROM. Never had an answer to it. One thing you can do is use your PC and disable 2 factor authentication and then sign in as normal on your device. Once signed in, go back and activate 2FA.

hello,
yes that is what I eventually ended up doing and it worked ok, seems google 2 step authentication doesn't work very well on older distributions of Android
thank you

Google Now & Google Now on Tap- how to - guide (No Root and fancy software)

you can reset and get the Google Now and Google now on Tap features irrespective of which country you're residing
i'm simply connecting the dots here
Kudos to the good people who have shared their methods with us, t3al, root-junkie
i'm just the messenger
things to note before proceeding-
remove the verify via sms option on google account, do it through a computer
because for this to work VPN is needed, and if the sim is in your device it might not be able to fool the phone,( correct me if my info is wrong)
in every case people say to reset the phone to factory default, and sign in
this very true, but you should have the option to skip every page of initializing process (if it is properly reset) in most cases samsung has this protection and asks for the earlier phone user's google account details, if you are experiencing this issue you have not reset the phone to the full extent
video one is about this factory reset,
video two is about enabling Google Now and Now on Tap, in any country
follow these two videos in order-
don't worry if this doesn't work , just head over to the settings and do a factory reset for a second time..(through the phone settings, not by bootloader thingie)
now you will have the option to bypass
then follow this procedure

you'll have cards and now on tap working.

[GUIDE] FRP Bypass for Samsung S8 - Pie(Android 9) - bit/rev C

Hello,
I was looking for a solution to unlock FRP for Samsung S8 for the latest Samsung's firmware and I might find a solution.
According to tutorials I found on the internet - usually you had to get to the web browser and then by a few steps reach the settings page and set up pin lock. Unfortunately it doesn't work anymore. Although you can still go to the web browser. You cannot open the pin lock screen because it was disabled. Activity just opens and closes immediately. You cannot also install any downloaded apk because the web browser needs permissions and this screen is also disabled. Keep in mind that any App Store has this permission!
There was a smooth trick where once you reached the web browser - you could select from the home screen Google Maps. It was triggering a deep link for Google Maps app. There you could enable "Driving" and then just say "Open settings" to open the settings page...
I have another solution and here are my steps on how I unlocked my Samsung S8 for the latest firmware. This is a solution for Window's users.
My phone's firmware was: Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950F - DBT - G950FXXUCDUD1 and I downloaded it from samfw.com
Firmware was flashed by the latest (patched) version of Odin -> 3.14.
Mentioned beginning step for opening a web browser requires a tool for that. I used a paid app. I paid for it because it was said that it unlocks FRP on Samsung devices. Well it didn't unlock my phone but at least I was able to reach the web browser. And this allowed me to look for any other exploit.
Here are my unlocking steps:
1. Start your Windows machine and while booting press F8. Select option "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement". It will allow you to install drivers for Tenorshare 4uKey for Android. It's optional if the app had any problems to run.
2. Download the latest version of Tenorshare 4uKey for Android. My version is 1.1.3 (2021-03-19), install it and open.
3. Select option "Remove Google Lock" and follow the instructions.
4. Your phone should proceed the intro steps including step where you have to connect with wifi. Connect to any wifi with access to the network.
5. Tenorshare should be able to open Youtube and then default web browser or Samsung Galaxy Store. I used the first solution.
6. Download apk provided in attachment: Activity Launcher. You can try to open it but you won't be able to install it. This function is disabled right now. Your web browser has no permission for installing third party applications.
7. In the web browser address bar search for Samsung Galaxy Store and open official Samsung's site
8. This site should have a deep link button to Samsung Galaxy Store. Click it. The Galaxy Store will be opened. Log in to your account. Please use Samsung account. Do not use Google account.

9. Search in Galaxy Store: Files Shortcut - authored by orcun Balkim. This is an app with a yellow folder icon. Version 3.0 dated on 7 Jan 2021. Install it and open it.
10. Go to the Download folder. Install previously downloaded apk Activity Launcher. Click on the apk or double tap if you use mouse.
11. Open it. Scroll to an app called "Accessibility" with a gear icon.
*** Hint: You can also search for Direction Lock. It will move you immediately to Direction Lock Activity. If you succeed, you can skip steps 12 and 13. Don't forget to to enable Direction Lock and set up the pattern!
12. Expand it and click on activity which name ends with ...$AccessibilitySettings
13. Go to Advanced settings > Direction lock > Enable it.
14. Click on Screen lock type and set up your pattern.
15. Go back to the main screen of Activity Launcher. Scroll to "Android Setup" and expand it. Open activity whose name ends with ...$RestoreProgressActivity.
*** Hint: You can also search for RestoreProgressActivity.
16. Click on the first item from the list. It should display "Apps" and click on it.
17. Follow the steps with creating a new Google account.
If you reach here it means that you succeed!
18. Once you reach home screen you can:
a) press Back button so many times till you reach first screen of setup page screen. Then you can normally process the setup flow. Your Google account will be added.
b) reset the phone. I prefer more a) solution.
Please add a comment if it is working for you. Have a nice day.

That's a really long post there my friend. You could have just flashed combination files then flashed the stock ROM and it will work...
But yeah, if you're really into paying for something that will not work as intended, installing possibly malicious stuff on both your PC and your Android and wasting half a day on the other steps that in the end may or may not work. You can probably do that.

Unfortunatelly didn't worked for me. Even I managed to set a lock pattern, when I get to the step 16 and tap on "Apps", I get the message that the device was factory reset and I have to verify the account. Even though I have the original account, I can't have it working.
¿Any ideas?
Thanks
Erucoco did you use the same firmware as I mentioned in the post?
Thanks for sharing detailed steps on how to defeat frp on a more recent Samsng phone. Lucky for me I am only interested in ancient phones with removable battery. Looks like google really locked down the backdoors available to defeat frp. For really older phones like Galaxy Note 4 or LG G5 it's easy once you launch chrome then google map then driving where you can access google assistant.
Found out a quicker way which worked for my device "G950FXXUCDUD"
Flashed the "Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950F - DBT - G950FXXUCDUD1" ROM from the Link
with mentioned "patched odin 3.14.4".
Booted up to the screen with "emergerncy-call" and started the ***youfrp V1.15 app on my windows machine

FRP bypass for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Dear all,
in my grandpas box I found an old but almost unused Galaxy S7 Edge.... no clue which Google account he was using, which is why I'm trying to bypass the FRP eversince.
Android version is 7.
What I already did:
- Factory reset
- Installed Samsung driver on my PC
- Installed Easy Samsung FRP Tool 2020 v1
- Disable Driver Signature in windows
- was able to install apex launcher app which makes it possible to acess the samsung settings
What does not work:
- can't disable google play services (needed to add an additional google account/ remove the old account)
- can't simply add goodle account
- can't access developer mode
- all usual FRP bypass apps fail to start
Any clue what I could still do in order to bypass the FRP?
I just do not have the heard to throuw away an almost new phone....would like to use it as backup phone or sell it.
Big thanks!!
Really no one has an idea?
