[Q] N7100 from China - can not change firmware

I bought N7100 in China, but it does not support all google services, even I have problem to log into samsung account, can not instal another language than Chinese, Korean and English.
Originally it was in 4.1.1.
I downloaded several stock firmwares 4.1.2 from sammobile, but it does want to go with odin. (phone goes in the mode informing about unsucessfull update).
Fortunatelly I flashed it with chinese 4.1.2 firmware, but now I am again at the beginning, and what is more it shows still 4.1.1 version in settings>about.
Anyone can help what to do to change software version for my language?
(I have read a lot what I found in google, I tried several times with odin and different files for different european regions - and nothing)
The Chinese phones have a locked bootloader so I have heard. Unless you unlock it, no amount of Odin flashing will work.
Beamed from Jupiter on my Galaxy Note II
any idea how to solve this?
I saw some post about verizon note2 unblocking but I do not know if possible to follow with chinese version, and what is more it looks quite complicated..
SOLUTION:
check here
The problem with these chinese phones is the modified bootloader, so you can't install other firmwares then chinese with odin.
The solution is: flash the phone with a chinese firmware or CWM recovery
When the phone is restored you need first to root the phone via odin and then install mobile odin. With mobile odin you can install a new firmware. The thing is, mobile odin doesn't touch the bootloader so it does also work with your chinese phones.

MobileOdin - check here - but in my case, only PRO version was workable.
Hi. I have posted a complete step by step instructions as how to flash India Android 4.3 firmware on Chinese N7100. Just search for it and follow the steps. You will be successful.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I succesfully rooted and installed customed firmware last year when I got my n7100 from China. I used Odin but do not remember how I did it. Then I can flash any rom. However, when I try to upgrade to 4.3 custom rom recently, almost all 4.3 romance require flashing a Wi-Fi fix by Odin. I can install most roms smoothly. But Wi-Fi won't work. And when I flash the Wi-Fi fix by Odin, always fail, no matter whose Wi-Fi fix package and which version of Odin. Not sure if this is boot loader issue, just remember I saw error message about boot loader. And usually when I flash rom, I can see "cannot find boot loader, skipped". Now I cannot use any 4.3 romance as I cannot make Wi-Fi work.

Need help on ODIN flash

Guys
My mobile model is SM-N750 (Indian edition).
I have successfully flashed stock firmware thru ODIN earlier. Recently I changed my firmware to Pakistan from Sammobile.
Now I like to go back to Indian firmware, however it is failing again & again. I am though successfully able to flash Pakistan firmware again.
Phone is working properly but cant go back to Indian firmware.
Please check.
I know how to flash in ODIN. This is something diff.
1- Try another source of odin, same version but another source
2- Try flashing the firmware more than once, it will work in one of them
3- Try different firmware and see if it worker, then the problem is with the firmware
4- Make sure the files are for your mobile version
Thanks for your reply.
I have tried 3 firmware files. No luck.
I think I guess what is the issue. Pak firmware version is higher than Indian firmware version. So the bootloader has been changed. That is the reason it is not allowing to install a lower bootloader firmware.
I hope once sammobile will have KK firmware downloadable I would be able to flash that.
I am successfully able to flash Indian Kitkat ROM from Sammobile.
So the point to be noted...You can not go back to old firmware once you upgraded to new one.

After update Miui OTA

Hi, I'm having a problem. When I was on MIUI 13.08.14 it works but when I get an OTA notification it donwloaded it and flashing, getting a huge bootloop :/ I've flashed back to Stock (Movistar Venezuela KDZ) but with no Storage :/ I've flashed Baltic KK KDZ (the only with storage functional) and now I can't boot any ROM except MIUI (flashing a lot of rom/recoverys). What can I do in this case? Is there a way to restore the partitions or get back the storage using my Movistar stock KDZ? Thanks in advance, it will be helpfull
EDIT: Nevermind, I've fixed flashing several times stock kdz and using stock cwm recovery from ROM manager in play store

How to return to CN firmware after installing WW.

Hi I have a CN sku zenfone 2 with the WW firmware installed, how can I install the original CN firmware in my device?
I have already downloaded the latest CN firmware, do I have to wipe everything? Do I have to do the same method as described on the CN to WW thread? And if yes where do I find the necessary files to do that?
Or do I just put the CN firmware on the root of my card and do the update?

Problem with the updates

Hi guys, I have a problem with the updates. before I had the root, I did unroot, then I did:
1) flash firmware without the various wipe (update given but error message).
2) flash firware wipe with factory reset (update given but error during installation)
3) flash firware with every wipe. update is not available ..
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZE551ML/UL-Z00A-WW-2.20.40.59-user.zip
Download the latest firmware. This is for WW ZE551ML model.
Go to bootloader. Flash stock recovery if you don't already have it. Press recovery. Wait for it to boot. You'll see installing update then an error. That's normal. Hold power button and press volume up and quickly release both at same time. You'll be taken to the real recovery menu.
Use adb sideload to flash the stock firmware.
it is the same thing for the Italian version?
If you have the ZE551ML WW version then yes. WW is international edition.
You send me a link?
