this man is legit
he unlocked my sprint s6 edge plus and now im using it with t mobile:good:

Thanks for the hard work but:
We all have personal stuff on our phones and giving you the root or remote access to the phone means that you can have access to our personal items , plus having access to the IMEI, MEID, contacts, pictures, remotely wiping the device or conducting a factory reset, altering operating system settings and even remotely changing the PIN for the screen lock. Not a safe way man , can't you just post it here?
Don't worry about donations, if this really works then you will get donations from us.
Thanks.

Is this legit or what people this is exactly what I need it right at this moment anybody else experience and I'm not trying to insult you I'm just trying to discern whether or not this is phishing or not... I agree with the gentleman say that there's a method to the madness then why should we go with the madness and if you willing to do it for free why don't you let us try and everything you did for me will be more than having my shiny new portable personal micro Computing device just die... thx to any into all who can shed some much better brighter light here thank you...

That's correct.
Last year I had to travel for work so I unlocked the international sim support. I haven’t renewed my contract for more than 6 months and I don’t owe Sprint any money on the phone since I purchased it cash. I called Sprint customer service yesterday and asked them to unlock my phone for the domestic sim support since I own the handset. They checked my account and said since I own the device and I’m off the contract (month to month) then they will do it but it is going to take 4~5 days to generate the case and send the signal.
The support guy said he is going to send the domestic unlock signal to my phone. I believe if you don’t owe them money on the phone then they will unlock it for free.
Just wanted to share it with you guys.

I'm not going to explain myself. Feel free to look at the thread linked in the first post. Also LOOK AT MY WORK. If I could share this I would. Perhaps a person needs tools and software for this to work? Feel free to go buy them

[BOUNTY][$245] WiFi Calling for AOSP ROMs - Updated 13 JUNE 2013

Everyone loves this feature. Let's get it ported over to AOSP based ROMs! I'm willing to chip in $25 for someone to get this working. What is it worth to you?
Conditions:
The following conditions must be met in order to claim the bounty. This is to ensure that it is fair and open to everyone.
1. Make a post in this thread mentioning that you are currently working on this project. We don't need updates every step of the way, though that would be nice, but just let everyone know that you are participating is all.
2. You solution must be open sourced. Now, you do not need to post how-to videos of your step by step process, but your solution cannot be locked to one certain ROM. It needs to be open enough to allow other ROM devs to integrate it into their ROM. Whether I use CM/AOKP/Carbon/Liquid, I should be able to use your mod on any of the Note 2 AOSP-based ROMs.
3. Post proof before collecting the bounty. If you post in this thread saying you've done it, prove it. Post a working AOSP-based ROM with WiFi calling integrated, or get with a chef to post one. Once that is done, get at least one other ROM dev to integrate your solution into their ROM.
Once all three conditions are met, the bounty will be paid in full, and everyone will know that you were first to do it. If you want credit in each thread using your mod, that's your right to do so. Creating a separate thread for just your WiFi Calling mod would be a good idea once this is over in order to do bug tracking and such as well, but that's up to you.
Anyway, I feel that these three conditions are simple and reasonable. They protect everyone involved. Any comments or promises of donations are very welcome.
There is a thread in the Nexus 4 forum that has a similar bounty currently valued at over $1400. Perhaps that solution can be ported over.
Current Bounty: $245
cajunflavoredbob - $25
snwahs -$25
kintwofan - $25
leprophotography - $5
baronsamedi - $25
hatcyl - $25
RonnieRuff - $5
nexicon - $20
beauh82 - $10
OwenW71 - $25
inspron - $10
AcE XBOX - $25
Jerry D - $20
Everyone already knows about other WiFi/VoIP options. If you don't, do a search. Either way, this thread is NOT the place to discuss that. This is a push to get T-Mobile's WiFi calling working on AOSP ROM, not a suggestion thread for other options.

I'll see your $25 and add my own $25.
<rant>I can understand why the Nexus devices don't have it and honestly after reading and reading and reading don't think it ever will. What I don't understand is why the Note 2 being a Tmobile device can't easily have this ported over. There has so much been said about the Nexus devices not having the "framework" to do it, the Note should be the exact opposite no? I know back on one of my devices, I completely rooted, installed Cyanogen and had a wifi calling apk that added it in. I know there is more to it than this but I'm putting my money where my mouth is so I just wanted to throw my $0.02 in (no pun intended) </rant>
Shouldn't we just post it here but have the Nexus 4 rom as the primary thread to go to? I know they're waiting for the GS4 for it's dump on T-Mobile so they can have a 4,2 build with wifi calling not broken.
---------- Post added at 07:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:37 PM ----------
I've been following that thread since it's inception. I did happen to come from the nexus 4 so...but anyways let's get developers from this thread and the nexus thread to work together. That would be absolutely brilliant.
I'll probably never run an AOSP on this device, but if it had wifi calling they would be more appealing. ... so put me down for 25.

WiFi calling is able to be ported to AOSP ROMs due to its nature as an IMS service. The framework is built into the Touchwiz ROMs, but is not dependent on the Touchwiz services. It'll just take a steady hand to make it happen. Nexus devices would be able to have it happen as well.

Any WiFi Calling solution would be device specific. If the Nexus gets it first, then someone still has to port it over the the Note 2 to make it work with our libs.

Multi Windows requires Touchwiz framework services, so it cannot be ported out of Touchwiz ROMs, due to those dependencies.
In for $25 if someone can get WiFi calling on CM.

I am confused as to why it has been so hard to port for 4.2 based when we had it for 2.3 that worked fine on aosp. I guess a lot has changed (and complicated) in those frameworks and services since the good ole days

It's a completely different system now. Plenty of threads details the changes, so Google a bit and you'll figure it out. I'm way too tired to list off the reasons why it's way more difficult now.
Put me down for $10 op
Put me down for 5 and I doubt I will even use it. I just like to see folks able to use AOSP without giving up much

I said I'd put down 20 for the Nexus 4 thread so i'll put the same here. Hold me to it!
Pute down for 10 for sure. Id love to use it on att base and n7105 base romz. The only thing keeping me from n7105 base roms is no wifi calling. Really limits the choices and at my house I really need wifi calling or its a deal breaker.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but porting the Tmo WiFi calling to any other ROM would require source code for the RIL, kernel and modem, won't it?

SIM Unlocking a Boost HTC Warp 4

Noob here! Apologies if there's already a thread about this, but I've scoured the internet since Boost has been extremely crappy about not letting me use a phone for which I paid full-price. They wouldn't give me an unlock code when I talked to them on the phones earlier, so I sent out a support ticket although I have little hope anything will result from it. So my question to all of you is, am I going to have to bite the bullet and just go to one of those pay sites, or doesn't someone know of a workaround?
I'm generally proficient with computers and electronics, so if it's moderately complicated I should be able to manage.
EDIT: Sorry, it's a ZTE Warp 4G, not HTC.
what do you want to achieve?

is your simcard blocked by boost mobile??
The sIM card shouldn't be, no. Even if it was, I already have my new one from Cricket with the number transferred over. I was just trying to figure out if I'd be able to unlock the phone itself so I could use it with my new service provider.
Than. You can buy a unlock code on a website or you can ask it by your provider

My provider refused to give it to me, and every pay site I've tried hasn't been able to do it.
Ah well, it was worth a shot. I've given up on it and have ordered a new phone that will be compatible with my new service. Thanks anyway!

We've started a petition yesterday on Change.org in an attempt to gain the attention of your company. We have gained over 250 signatures in less than 24 hours. There are many of us who feel it would be very beneficial to have the option to unlock the bootloaders on our G4 mobile devices. I understand you offer the option on one European model. We would like to respectfully request the option to unlock the bootloader on all models. This would benefit the development of your phone fiercely!
I am aware the results of your sales for the G4 are far below the projected sales volume. I can guarantee, the unlocking of the bootloaders would boost your sales significantly.
Please Mr. Cho, consider our request.

Rightfull efforts should not be taken as spams, no matter how much we have faith in the future of it..
The companies build their plans about what (not) to give their customers, not only over the demanding people but also the un-demanding people.
So, do demand. That won't kill your cat.
Just a suggestion, I would rename this topic to "Please sign the petition to LG, to unlock the bootloader for all G4 variants"
....and unlock bootloader for all but WITHOUT loose warranty !!! it's really possible ???!!!
And they can make this effort because it's daylight robbery ,scandalous, to buy a phone with a very big problem of hardware ("bootloop&dead" illness)
mine is still work but i sympathize with persons who have had this serious problem...

But good look and hello spam topic....(sorry)
I do know we are a minority here on XDA, compared to the whole mobile phone market. However I also know that many of us are asked when a friend or a relative tries to decide to a new device. So we actually have the power to influence enough amount of customers and shape the market. I, for one, have been doing this for many years. Now, there is no single person in my life with a Samsung device. I have talked them into other devices.
I know that this is a technical forum and needs to be well-organized. But in this case, just to show the power of us, customers, a few extra topic wouldn't hurt anyone.
I remember the times when companies backing off to "ok, we will honor the warranty because it is a manufacturing fault, so it has nothing to do with your device being rooted" and giving new phones to the rooted users couple years ago. And the reason behind it was the topics here, on XDA, about many people having the same problem.
So, long story short, showing how we are feeling about our devices and their companies (and also carriers sometimes) is necessary in the way I see things.
I think, more power to topics like these everywhere.
Whether you think it helps or not, switching off a light bulb that you are not using in your house, our sending a dollar somewhere in the world when you can spare it, makes a difference.
It's those people who start something that eventually save us all.
Onward.

I just bypass FRP 7.1.2 with lock Bootloader! Please read!

Well Hello there everyone.
My friend bought a Pixel off the streets (A.K.A Offerup App) He saw the post and called me about the post he saw and wanted to by it. I mention him about FRP, which he said he will check . He didnt relized that it just bypass with sideloader. We try to contact the sell but nothing. So head he gave it to play around with it and took me a 1 day 1/2 and BANG! I removed it with lock bootloader! 7.1.2 (NJH47D, Jul 2017)!:silly::laugh:
Now i have the info& IDK what to do with it. If you have any questions ask. Very open to help out but I don't want to get ban or anything in the area.
P.S I have proof of it been lock and so on. ( I did not took a pic of the bootloader info but it was in 'slot_b' idk whats this but yeah) I believe this will work with verizon and OEM goolge pixel&XL
Edit: My brother has a Nexus 6P with 7.1.2 lock bootloader. I explain him that it can be done and he did not believe me. We bet some beers to show it can be done! Same concept different phone. I was multi-tasking and phone too longer than usual to get things in the right place. Check laptop date & Time.
Update: Check out Rootjunky and Phonelab Youtube& Twitter. The information was shared with them.
how did you do it?
Not sure if I am allow to post the information.
Why would you get banned? A lot of people are waiting for something like this; myself included. If you say you're able to do it, explain it clearly and with as much information as possible.

I believe that XDA rules don't permit that but since the thread hasn't been locked then perhaps I'm wrong. If it's free then post it. Thread will be cleaned if it violates rules.
But if he charges for it then he might as well just ban himself. No need to wait.

So you're telling me I can't get any donations for the solution?:crying::crying: I mean for my time? Beer? Steak?
I'm pretty sure XDA considers instructions to bypass FRP to be aiding phone thieves and people who buy stolen phones, which would not be in the best interests of the majority of the people in the XDA community. There are plenty of Internet pages and at least one apk that claim to help people bypass FRP. The fact that you don't see that stuff on XDA should probably tell you something.

This doesn't make sense combined with your OP. You said you were messing around with a friend's phone and bam you got it and now don't know what to do with the info. A mod said put a donate link up but now you say it's not for free since you paid to learn the method? Were you messing around or did someone teach it to you? Either way you're not going to get paid for it here unless you put up a donate link and the method is verified by other users.

Your OP and this just show that you'r attempt to chew from both sides of your mouth
Can you pm me op?
What are the pictures in the OP supposed to be showing? The device is still locked nearly two hours later.

The pictures show absolutely nothing useful. This guy is completely full of it. Mods close this thread. It's nothing but clickbait.
Also, the pictures in op are actually for a Nexus 6P not Pixel XL. Mods should at least edit and move this thread to the appropriate place if closing the thread is not feasible.

Snapdragon root ever possible?

So I got a great deal from sprint about half off a S20u And I jumped thinking I'd be able to root it. it's already been 30 days and I'm going to return the device since I thought it would be able to be rooted. will a root ever be available. What device can I purchase from a US carrier that is able to be rooted and remove the bloat.

Don't hold your breath waiting for Samsung to offer an unlocked bootloader on any US variants. There are no US Carrier Branded or US Unbranded devices which can be unlocked. If you want no bloatware then the US Unbranded device is an option but if you need root you'll have to consider a Snapdragon International or Exynos Global variant. On these devices Carrier Aggregation and Warranty Repair would be challenging at best.
Dose one plus make devices that ship with unlockable bootloader?

Will the bootloader be unlocked in the future, is that a possibility, haven't been on the forums in 7-8 years. This phone is incredible, but the bloatware makes it useless kills battery can't disable apps. Someone help im over 30 days and don't know if I wanna return. I'm paying $15USD/MONTH FOR 18 MONTHS with buyout for $250USD so it's quite an offer to refuse. But I need root access and a custom rom on THIS baby!

The only one who can answer this is a well placed Samsung Executive, certainly not a CSR. No one has a crystal ball in this regard but I doubt it's going to happen anytime soon. Bloatware is the downside when you acquire a Carrier Branded Device and the $$$ you saved lose their value in the long run. Nowadays most carriers offer decent pricing on month to month prepaid without a long term commitment. Better off IMHO to wait a few months for price drops and feedback before purchasing any device. Saving a couple hundred on a smartphone you really weren't suited for doesn't add up.

So, your entire post was to show YOU have root, but not to provide any information at all on how you did it...when OP (and others, myself included) would like to know how it's done?
....thanks for nothing...

point is to show its absolutely possible. And I cannot post something that A, isnt my method to post and B, its not allowed to be posted on xda. So take it how you want doesnt matter to me.

Wow. Disrespecting elliwigy is not good. That guy has provided things for the public in the past and thats how you do him? Its because of people like you that xda gets tainted. Hell I wouldn't release it.
And one last thing:

Who are you, his girlfriend? Go away.
To me it just seemed like a post bragging about him having root when others can't get it and obviously wanna know to do so. But if he can't or won't share how he achieved it, then whatever...it is what it is. But nowhere did I see him say he needed you to defend him, especially AFTER he already responded.
I'm done with the topic now though... moving on...

just because someone achieves something and let ppl know it is possible but cant provide details for understandable reasons such rules is not in any way bragging about anything.
I dont make the rules on here, in fact I support the rules and enforce them even considering I am a moderator.
Just because someone doesn't want to tell you details (because its simply not allowed) doesn't give you the right to judge people and post negatively about them in public. If you have any issues with me or anyone else I suggest you send them a PM next time.
Showing people that it is possible gives hope to those who feel it is imppssible and hopefully encourages them to keep at it.
I have no reason to lie to anyone and as you can tell uf you did any research on my past activities/posts you should see that every time I achieved root I posted freely to XDA so everyone could take advantage of it. So hopefully you understand if I could post publicly I would have already done so.
I did try to help people out and had them PM me and was advised not to do so even via PM because it is a paid service of which selling these types of services are not allowed on XDA. It is a paid service because the means to unlock the bootloader requires a purchase from a third party. There is no way to provide a "free" method as well as said service is device specific so there is no universal method and each unlock is tied to one device.
Think of it similar to those websites that offer sim unlocks. They are paid services tailored to one specific device. Paid services are not allowed on XDA since typically people use these methods to profit and in the past there have been a number of shady schemes hence why rules were formulated.
I hope this clears things up and you refrain from name calling and negatice remarks to people such as your last comment I quoted.

Instead of complaining take the initiative and hit someone up on telegram that you know has done this and im sure they would be glad to guide you too the proper place. Like elliwigy said it’s against xda rules to post such stuff here so why complain about it here. There are threads in s10 and s20 threads with people posting stuff for US unlocked bootloader phones. Hit those people up on telegram or outside of xda because people want too abide by the rules of xda and xda does not want this stuff posted on their forums.
