SW3 does not work with Cyanogen - Sony Smartwatch 3

I recently loaded CM12 on my LG G3 D850 (only variant without Android 6 )
Everything went well until I tried pairing my SW3 via NFC via Wear, not only does it not recognize it, it makes the harp noise of nfc contact but does nothing and then stays on a very bright stock firmware that never goes off...very silly ..so I have to shut it off everytime
Already frustrated that Android 6 wasnt available at the end of three frustrating days of my first attempt at a ROM, now I am ready to switch back to (yucccckkk!!) stock if no solution is available.
I also upgraded my gApps to stock from mini (and that wiped out a whole buncha stuff but thats another story) and tried software update (but CM has its own updater which said nothing to update)
Would appreciate any ideas from the experts here, thanks in advance !

The NFC on the SW3 currently only transmits a URL to the "Android Wear" app. in PlayStore.

I didnt get you; even with that functionality in NFC, the SW3 connects without an issue with stock firmware but not with CyanogenMod - any reason for this ?

Did you factory-reset the watch after flashing CM on the phone? You need to (AFAIK).

It works for me CM11 + SW3

Working here too with cm 12.1

I'm not entirely sure what you mean: NFC doesn't do much, definitely can't use it to pair the device; which device has a "very bright stock firmware?"
Did you factory reset the watch and set it back up with the new phone rom?

Haah...that was a tongue of the slip..what I meant to say was the stock firmware on the watch was very bright and annoying
Anyway I switched to a nightly CM12 and all was well. Thanks for responding ! Now just waiting for CM13 for the D850

OP
Are you waiting on Official CM13? There are much better alternatives to be had for the D850, and if your insistent on CM, Unofficial CM13 has been out for sometime.

Never used Orion, but used the RRemix MM Rom up until today on my D851. I assume it would be as reliable on the 850. I suspect you are only looking in "Original Development" instead of simply "Android Development" in the ATT G3 forums. Enjoy friend.

[Q] Do any KitKat ROMs support Bluetooth Low Energy?

I have a stock, unrooted Galaxy Nexus GSM purchased new from Google currently running 4.3.
I have a FitBit Flex which will only sync with phones that have Bluetooth Low Energy support.
I can not find any information on any of the KitKat ROMs out there for Galaxy Nexus to see if I install it, will Bluetooth LE work?
If it does then work, my next concern would be if the FitBit app would recognize that the Bluetooth LE works and it would then be able to sync, or if it simply would still see it as a Galaxy Nexus which they do not list as a supported device: http://www.fitbit.com/devices
If anyone can offer me some advice here, I'd greatly apprecaite it!
Thanks.
(btw, sorry if this is in the wrong froum. please move it if it is)

With any kitkat rom I install only the modified apk from that thread and everything is ok!
Il you wanna stay with 4.3 you must install btle libraries as mentioned in the thread.
Gnex supports BLE with almost every KK rom.
(try BLE Checker on play store: on my Vanir says Supported!)
yes, and wrong place to ask this

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I used The Nexus Root Toolkit (by WugFresh) to Unolock and Root my GNex. Then I used the link you gave me to get the BTLE files and the FitBit apk. I installed everything and it freakin' works!!! I'm so happy!
I'm so annoyed at Google for letting support of this device go after only 18 months. I bought it because they praised it as being thee flagship, unaltered, always up-to-date phone to have. I figured I'd be on the latest version of Android with this phone for many years. I wanted to keep it stock, but they've forced me to now go rooted. I suppose I could now flash a KK ROM, but I'm not sure what that would benefit me at this point.
Thank you again SO much for your help and fast reply! (Even if I did post this in the wrong place!)
Love XDA!
Ok, so I have to update what happened. Everything seemed to be working fine until I got into my car. My GPS has a bluetooth connection. It would connected, but then almost immediately the Bluetooth service would crash on my phone. Happened over and over again. Even after a reboot. Then when I got home, I tried it with my bluetooth speaker. Same exact thing. I figure the bluetooth binaries that I installed screwed up my connections that used to work. I even tried re-pairing them. Didn't help.
I gave up and decided to wipe everything and flash KK. I used CM11 nightly. Now everything, so far, is working as expected. GPS, speaker & fitbit. CM KK takes some getting used to over stock JB. I don't know what changes are KK and which are CM.

NFC does not initiate after returning from Cyanogenmod to Stock

good night
a time ago, for curiosity I wanted to prove a rom kitkat of Cyanogenmod 11... good, only I her used approximately 2 weeks since the truth did not convince me,
so I decided to return to the firmware of Telcel (mexico) on having installed to him the firmware ... the Wifi did not work already, it was not activated, so I tried to put another firmware of mexico, and I mark myself a strange error, whole, end up by putting the emergency recovery that KIES has
and there I was put by a firmware that is
version of Baseband I9195LUBUAMF3 and compilation
JDQ39. I9195LUBUBNC2
but from there ... the NFC did not work already ... the active thing, and it is deactivated only to 3 seconds,
later the speaker trumped me, send the team to guarantee, and in technical service they always iron the most recent firm, and it continues without raising the NFC
will it be any problem in hardware, or in the change of rom and firmware??
greetings and thank you very much
hello, good day....
to do tests, install Cyanogenmod 11 again, only to see that there the NFC works
and in this custom rom, if it works correctly, the question is, because in that of stock it does not work:S
there is already a thread about the not working nfc issue and a solution to fix this. look into it

New to the LG G3, lag, redraws etc...

Just got my LG G3, yesterday and as soon as i turned on it was prompting to update to lollipop, so i did.
Perhaps I should have tested before to see what it was like before lollipop.
But it seems there is pretty much ever so slightly lag everywhere, compared to my Nexus 5 I just got rid of.
also the home screen redraws seem nearly as bad as the S5 I had once (one reason I hate Samsung bloat)
perhaps I need to flash a Custom rom, or do you need to hard reset once your updated to lollipop OTA

Hi mate! if I were you, you should have tried KK first before upgrading. LP lags alot despite that it runs on ART and most of the apps are not yet compatible with LP so maybe you should give it a time first.
Btw, you haven't mentioned your device. Flash a stock ROM first before you try custom ROM
Cheers!

Any 4.4+ stable ROM for D2att?

I have a Galaxy S3 Sgh-I747 and every ROM if i install in my phone have a Snapchat issue or random boots
Please help!
What is the snapchat isdue?
I'm using an old cm11 4.4.4 build that has been rock solid, I was also getting random reboots on just about everything. I had to install an old chrome browser apk, and an older voxer. Some apps won't work with the kitkat roms, but I don't care, this rom rocks and hasn't had a single bug.

the front camera looks compressed or something
You can do nothing about it. It's a known problem with CM/Lineage on all phones degrading camera quality.
Which ROM would you recommend for daily use? That is not Slim6 because that is what I currently have and has several errors.

That's what i said in the first reply, most of these roms are based on lineage and they have the same camera problem which lineage degrade. If you want the camera quality back you have to go back to stock 4.4.2.

There is a ROM that worked perfectly, the camera was fine, it is very fluid and above it is super attractive to the eye and very customizable, that ROM is MiUi 7. But there is a problem, that when it comes to start it takes a lot to do it . And it is not that bootloop because the ROM if it starts, only if I turn off the phone for any reason to turn it takes 5 to 10 minutes.
Do you have any idea of this?

For me the problem is the kernel because I installed another kernel and the problem was solved but when turning it on you could use the ROM but it had some graphic faults like that the screen was blinking, the icons were glitched, it worked fine even though it was difficult to use , but the ROM started well. Then I'm looking for AOSP kernels for android 4.4 to see which gives solution to the problem

I realize this is an earlier post, but thought I'd comment anyway! I'm not sure how many of us are out there, tinkering around with the 8+ year old Samsung Galaxy S3 i747 . While I am a newbie, I have enjoyed flashing Custom ROM's , from CyanogenMod, thru various versions of Lineage, and now CrDroid. The newest O/S that I flashed is CrDroid ( based on Android 8 ). Runs great. Stable. Long battery life.
I have always used ODIN to INSTALL a 'recovery' system such as TWRP ( which is a .Tar file )
After TWRP is installed ( using ODIN ) I unplug phone from my computer. Then boot into TWRP recovery ( holding down the three buttons ). I do a clean install (flash) of the newest O/S that I can find ( Android 4.4 is really old ). It is that .Zip file that I flash, then reboot the phone. Always works for me. Eventually I learned how to back up all my contacts, SMS, logs, photos, etc.
BTW I am totally free of Google; no Google Play Store, no Google Pay, no Google Framework, no Gapps, no Google spyware, no Google bloatware, no Google tracking etc.
I download all my apps as APK's which are readily available on the Net ( Google them . . . just kidding! ).
My older Samsung S3 i747 was a 'd2att' originally locked to Rogers, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Then switched over to MTS (Manitoba Telephone System). Now running on Bell Canada. My replacement is also a Samsung S3 i747, originally running T-Mobile in Arizona, now running on Bell Canada.
These are damn fine phones.

What ROM are you running on your S3 now? I flashed lineage 14.1 on to mine but it wont accept incoming calls. I really just need a ROM that will work for calls but I'm having trouble finding any to download, the links are either dead or all I can find is for the i9300 variant.

I am running CrDroid. Best ROM I've had yet. Ran LIneage 14.1 and it was good, but little problems such as: phone not ringing, camera problem.
I always go the extra mile & clean flash. Lately I've made the effort to back things up! Saves a lot of headache. Wish I would've learned that earlier.

Thanks but I don't see a ROM for the S3 i747 variant on CrDroid's site. Only one for the S3 Neo and I see references elsewhere to CrDroid on the i9300 which I think is the European model? But not seeing one for the d2att/d2lte version we have in Canada.
I did install Meeko on it last night which at least does accept incoming calls so that's an improvement over Lineage already.
Are you referring to the CrDroid website https://crdroid.net/ ?
There are versions for Android 8 (Oreo) & newer.
I'm pretty sure that Lineage 14.1 is Android 7 (Nougat)
Have a look at the XDA site of alexenferman : https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-att/rom-crdroid-3-8-9-custom-rom-7-1-2-t4021787
See the part which reads:
Releases
Latest Version: V.3 2020-01-02 FINAL
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1DW...T4ZNZieMwIUbAX
Then I downloaded the file: crDroidAndroid-7.1.2-20200102-d2att-v3.8.9.zip
While it says "d2att" I installed it on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (Rogers version) anyway. Works great.
I also installed on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (Tmobile version) T999. Also works great.
I did not install any Gapps

This is an unofficial build, on the CrDroid website, they only put the official ones, approved by them. To make official builds, you must constantly update it and have the latest version. I clearly don't have all the resources and knowledge. Anyone can compile a ROM for their device.
So if it says "Unofficial", it's not part of the Custom ROM website
And yes, you can use this build with the Canadian i747m/d2can

Mi A2 lite keeps losing signal

Hi guys. I need your help
I bought this phone a year ago. It works fine at first, but then I'm not sure since when, the phone keeps losing signal and says "No service".
Network is up again when I restart the phone, but if I leave it for a while, it loses the signal and nobody can call me.
Is there anyway to solve this problem?
