Remove 'bootloader unlocked!' text? - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys. I want to remove this warning message when i boot up my phone. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

being able to do this would be great! I tried all the fastboot commands that work on different devices to re-lock the bootloader, flashed the bootloaders again...downgrade to Android 5, uncheck enable EOM unlock in the developer options..tried fastboot commands.. all was in vain...
Any other ideas?

I don't want to relock my bootloader. My goal is just removing this message. Because if the bootloop issue happen to me, sellers will not know that i've unlocked my bootloader. So they will repair my phone for free.

please can any mod close this? Has already been asked and answered. it's not possible! Do a damn search before!

there is not mention of this as far as I sow it anyways...
If you have it then post the link here so we can see it also .
PS: under the same logic we would not try to find a root or bootloader unlock and talk about it because its not currently possible.

If your in the EU and phone is still under warranty, LG will repair defected devices regardless if BL is unlocked as its a known defect. Read this thread.

I live in asia region. I talked with the seller where that i bought (third party shop) and they said that unlocking BL void warranty. That is why i want to hide this message

Then it's a no...you cannot remove message when booting.

That's awful

I read about a guy saying something like changing the I-M-E-I (dont want to get banned or something) to something else, reboot and then restore it, you should have a relocked bootloader..
it sounds a bit shady but maybe this can actually work...depending on how this unlock is done.

This guy actually relocked the bootloader nice

You will never be able to unlock the bootloader on that phone, unless your carrier can give you some kind of code to change your unlock status (not sure this is even possible).

The BL is different, if it came from O2 then chances are you cant unlock the BL.
So there is no chance? It worked with xperia arc and omnius. Costs about 15$, that would be ok. But will it work with our z1c in the near future? Or is it just "luck" to find an exploit?

Well nothing is impossible, but it isn't likely as it requires a bootloader exploit. Realistically it isn't going to happen though, unless some smart people devote a lot of time to it. The most likely scenario (using test point to gain more software access) would require hardware tampering.
Hello Mentalghost,
Unfortunately there is no way to unlock the bootloader when the status is "No".
Have a great day, cheers!

MentalGhost, where did you purchase your phone? This phone isn't sold by any carriers in the USA, to the best of my knowledge, so the bootloader shouldn't be locked.

Bought in UK where I am not in USA. Might take back to shop where bought from and see if got any others in lol
Or wait for locked bootloader versions or someone makes modded version with unlocked rom that is been modded like one where you install modded that is unlocked install and then can unlock bootloader did in xperia s I use to have was a modded rom that was originally saying bootloader unlock no and added new Base rom and then said bootloadr unlock yes maybe this will happen on this phone in time or locked bootloader kernels and rom come along

Plus, there will be no solution. The reason why Xperia Arc S and other 2011 Xperias worked with testpoint method was because of that there was a big security flaw in the security of the testpoints nand access, but those flaws have been fixed in newer Xperias and newer 2011 Xperias also.

+1 It was coming to that realization that I sold my O2 locked Z after 6 months to buy an unbranded Z1 Compact. It worked out cheaper too spending hundreds of pounds up front for my Phone with the added bonus of having access to all of it.

Pixel 2 XL no operating system fix

So I recently got my hand on a pixel 2 xl without the operating system.
I know this is an issue happened to some devices and the best way is to send it back to Google for a replacement.
However neither do I have the box and receive with me nor I am living in the official launch area. So there is no easy way for a replacement from Google. (I can't even post question at there official pixel user forum)
Therefore I really would love to know if I can indeed install the official ROM with tool like this one? https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/development/tool-tool-one-driversunlocktwrpfactory-t3730226
And hopefully won't wasted a good device.

Did you have OEM Unlocking checked in Developer options before it happened? If yes you can flash factory images
If you have the stock recovery and can boot into it you can adb sideload the most recent ota zip.

You can get the bootloader lock status simply by booting into the bootloader. Locked or unlocked? You don't "think" it has a working recovery is not good enough to help you. If it does have a stable recovery, you can flash the OTA. If it does not and the bootloader is locked you are S.O.L. and the phone is dead. Follow this video and let us know.

If you can hold down volume and hit power to get into bootloader and choose Recovery, you can fix this phone.
Go here: read instructions at top. You will be booting to bootloader, then to recovery, then choose Apply Update from ADB.
Then give adb OTA command as described. Don't skip or modify any step.

If your bootloader is locked with no way to unlock it, and with no working recovery, you're screwed. The device needs to be sent to Google to fix, which is rather problematic when the device is in a country where it wasn't sold.

About xiomi redmi note 5 ai fake rom and fake unlocking problem

I bought a xiomi redmi note 5 ai which contains a fake rom( 9.5.13.0.0 OEIMIFA). In developers option it shows me that my device is unlocked but in fastboot it is actually locked. I tried to unlock it but couldn't get succeed. I also tried xiaomitool, xiaomi flash, some adb and edl proccess but couldn't get any success. In forum I saw test point twice method for whyred but I couldn't active edl by doing this hardware functionality because my device is new and I am also a noob in those matter. My mi id also unauthorised. Is there any chance that I can flash Official China stable rom and get the official update??? I am so disappointed with this. Experts, please help me to flash official rom on note 5 ai. give e some solutions.
Yeah I wanna know about this topic too. Many sellers are sending unsealed products and bootloader saying unlocked.
I'm in this situation too! So sad
This is really weird....In dev options phone says "Unlocked" but when you reboot there is no "Unlocked" sign under Mi logo...WTF?????
You will need to give some more detailed information for people to help you. Go on the guides section, find one of the many bootloader unlock guides and follow it step by step: at which point does it not work, and what kind of error do you get?
You also mention your account not being authorized: if that is the case, then you absolutely need to get it authorized first, there's no way around that (short of finding someone with an authorized account to help you, I guess).
By the way, I would not focus too much on the fact that Developer options report the device as unlocked, if the ROM is unofficial, that is easy to fake. Whoever flashed the u unauthorized ROM must have then relocked the bootloader after flash.
this is why xiaomi has changed the way bootloader unlocks to prevent sellers from doing this.

To my knowledge, the new unlock policy just adds more time before unlock and makes it harder to use the same account for multiple unlocks. I would say it discourages sellers from doing this, but the more resourceful ones will keep doing what they always did, while us users have to endure the whole thing.
I got my redmi note 5 ai, it was already unlocked. can someone point out if it's good? In developer options says unlocked. I turned on usb debugging but OEM unlock is greyed out. Verity mode: true, device unlocked: true and device critical unlocked: true
My first R5+ came with an unlocked bootloader but the unlock process made it for the seller can corrupt eventually some partition or even unsuccesfull, they are not intend to unlock but change a chinese rom for a global and through the process device could get unlocked (time before, I guess not actually).
The most indisputable way without a doubt to know this is simply going to fastboot mode and typing
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
so fastboot reads at a low level directly in the right partition. There are some discussion on where is place this condition, some thinks that is in bootloader itself but others believe that it is in persist partition.
That's what I did. What do you think?

General ROOT RED MAGIC 8 PRO V3.18

ROOT RED MAGIC 8 PRO V3.18Your device must be bootloader unlocked
To unlock bootloader enable oem unlock in developer options and usb debugging
Then type the command: adb reboot bootloader
Or access fastboot with hardware key: Power + volume down
Once in fastboot type the following command to unlock:
fastboot flashing unlock
fastboot flashing unlock_critical"
Access fastboot then type the command:
fastboot flash init_boot_a magisk_patched-25200_3.18UN.img
fastboot reboot
Done
You check if the correct active slot is a, if it is b just change the command a with b
Only use for V3.18 version I have not tested other versions
Note: Absolutely do not patch the boot file, you will have a continuous boot error
Root Done
The backups with just ommiting the B slots is 12.7 gb so i cant personally help you with that. Have you tried flashing the OTA's boot.img (might even try boot_a.img) and init_boot.img while slot A is selected? Not the magisk modded files either.

Im at a stand still with this. I have already fastboot flashing unlock_critical as you can see in which it states Device already unlocked but whether I am in bootloader and fastboot I get Flashing is not allowed in a lock state. Any help from some else that ran into this or has knowledge on it?
Thanks
Update. Fixed the issue. Add the step of "fastboot flashing unlock" before "fastboot flashing unlock_critical"
If You can flash a GSI, It'd be a decisive factor in getting people to buy this phone. The company should be paying you to do this, but they're probably too greedy to make a bigger profit
I've successfully flashed a few A13 GSIs but screen lock is a still a problem and so far calls and messaging doesn't work normally.
I know that this next question were asked before, but i keep not understanding much about it: if i revert back the root completely (unroot the phone, lock the oem and delete "third party apps" like magisk, etc.) will my warranty be back? i am talking about the redmagic 8 pro void specifically. Can someone help me understanding this? i have searched on internet about this and they all say that simply it depends on manufacturers to "detect" if the warranty was void (even if you unroot and lock oem and all).... Thank you in advance
