how to set up emulators and roms on fire tv?

hello,
how do i set up my kodi 14.1 on fire tv to play roms(snes, playstation, gameboy)? I was unable to find a good guide/tutorial on this. i plan on saving games and emulators to the external hard drive. i've enabled rom collection browser and when i click on it, it gives me a message that says (no config file found do you want to create one?). I've also enabled freedom downloader and advanced launcher, but i dont know how to set it up?
any help will be greatly appreciated . thank you

Please Help me play my favorite game

I have a Galaxy Tab S 10.5(SM-T807P) Running Stock 5.0.2
I'm trying to find a way to get this device to play XCOM Enemy within, I've tried to see if there is a thread on XDA supporting this idea before posting this, if missed it and there is a link that someone can provide I would greatly appreciate it. However if there is not one I would like some help with someone who has some free time to assist.
I've never rooted before but I am not opposed to the idea(if it would help me accomplish this) with some instructions on how do it.
Thanks!
Have you tried finding the apk file and installing it manually? I've installed one or two apps this way and had no issues on my Tab S
(you don't need to have a rooted device to do this)
Edit: XCOM and EW are BY FAR two of my favourite games. And XCOM 2 is definitely in the same league

FireTVstick Package Index

Hello!
I'm trying to uninstall the package(s) that has/have to do with the startup screen where you are asked to select the language and wifi network followed by updates check and I managed to do this by using this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-tv/general/disable-bloatware-2nd-gen-fire-tv-stick-t3674629
It uninstalled a lot more than I needed and I am trying to follow it step by step, package by package.
The ideea is, though, to get an index of the amazon packages so to see exactly what I am uninstalling and what not, since some of these are not really self-explanatory.
I found this index https://developer.android.com/reference/packages but it seems to lack all amazon apps.
So is there any way to find and index or at least to understant what each of these packages do?
Thank you! :fingers-crossed:

This list is not exactly related to Fire TV but to Fire OS as a whole. However, the most important Fire TV packages are included. It's a start to read something into it.

Looks good. I'll get back to working on it after 16th of this month and I'll come back and let you know if it helped. Hope all this work could help me to make a tutorial for what I am doing now, I think it would be helpful for other people. Thanks for your help!

If you can't find any information about some special packages, I can try to answer that. Just send me a list with the packages you didn't find out about (max. 10).

Thank you so much! I have managed to find a post on github with what looks like the packages organised in categories, but I cant find the link anymore. Will update this answer if I find it.
