You also need to be rooted+recovery if even available yet for this device and I think sony now use something called drm-verify in all 2015 onwards devices meaning root on locked Bootloader is almost impossible apparently and some older Xperia devices M2,t2u and c3 had a hidden problem with 5.1 the services.odex file was corrupted so deodexing and xposed were impossible on stock 5.1 firmware. Not sure if this problem with the firmware has been sorted out as Sony refuse to accept it exists in the first place

Root is reaady for M5, please check the other post. And somebody already applied xposed framework to his M5, I am trying to figure the way out with reference from the writer.

Good to know root is available but is it available without using kingroot though as I will not use it, it's upgrade time soon well July/August but it'll soon be here I'm hoping to choose between the m5,z5c or x if available to replace my trusty M2 also depends on how much development there is for each device

For the moment, only KingRoot reported working on M5, I am not sure KingoRoot as I never try it by myself and only one KingoRoot user posted here in the forum.
Regarding the selection between M5 and Z5C, Sony put more efforts on Z series than others in my region, maybe yours different, just for your reference.

Why there are no Cm 12.1 tom's for Xperia T2 ultra

I was using Xperia SP for 2 years for that I had so many custom roms which I used to enjoy a lot playing with it.. But now I moved to T2 ultra and there is no options for custom roms for this phone .. Any developers are working on developing custom roms for this model. Please is there anyone who can start for this?
Waiting for the working CM12.1 custom rom...
By the way I need to know which is the easiest way to root this T2 ultra D5322.
Thanks
Xperia T2 Ultra custom roms are for D5303 only , I didn't find any custom rom that works fine on D5322 .
To root use the latest version of Kingroot .
Kingroot is the last thing you should be using to root your phone

Yet another update

This week Sony announced a new update in Hongkong, but I not yet download and install.

I tried to install it, but it failed. I've rooted my Phone with KingRoot, maybe that was the reason for the fail !
I downloaded the update too with the same result.

I was able to upgrade my device via Xperia Companion Software from Sony.
After that I needed to reroot it with KingRoot, worked fine !

Does one one-click-root work for Z2 play?

Anyone know if any of these work for Z2 play?

If you bought the BL unlockable version you don't need an exploit. If you didn't, there is no root.
Not a Kingroot fan myself, but there's a video with lots of views although mostly uncommented in YouTube about Kingroot working on Z2 Play (?!)
Mhhh... now, tipically, if it fails, it just fails. No harm. That's if you haven't tried already. There's also a Kingroot thread here in XDA.
BTW: It positively doesn't work on Oreo 8.0...
