As promised, I bring to you THE Official MOAR ROM for the Sprint Galaxy Note 4! Built from my stock Ultimate Note 5 ROM
which can be found HERE.
This is an exact replica of the original MOAR rom developed by @rompnit and @tdunham for the Sprint Galaxy Note 5.
Please visit the original MOAR rom thread to learn more about this Awesome rom and get the latest updates, tips, help and other useful information.
The rules for this thread are as follows:1. All port related discussion such as issues, updates and fixes must remain in this thread and not posted in the original N5 thread. This is to keep the original rom's thread clear of needless posts unrelated to the original rom.
2. All features, tips, guides, theming and other MOAR specific discussions can be done in the original rom thread as long as it does not contain issues or other types of posts that are strictly related to the port rom. Use common sense.
About ROM:This build is based on the stock Sprint OK3 5.1.1 Lollipop build for the N5. It's creators @rompnit and @tdunham have long collaborated with other projects. I have recently joined the team and i'm excited to be a part of a very talented group. Together we can conquer all things that make your smartphones Amazing! I have taken on the task of properly porting and fixing various issues that arise from this type of project. A lot of time and work goes into this rom before the porting process even begun! So please giveThanks here as well as the original thread linked above. We hope you enjoy your MOAR experience!

Aroma installer
And much, much, MOAR!
Added the following apps:
Peel Smart Remote ( Why not? The Note 4 has a IR blaster unlike the note 5 )
Backup app
GifMaker app (is an add-on feature for the stock Samsung photo gallery and can be found in the stock gallery's menu)
Samsung fonts package (can be accessed from fonts settings. There's a lot so it takes a few seconds to load them all. when you open fonts settings be patient, they will load)
Video Editor full version (I fixed the internal linking from the stock samsung video app so it will take you straight to the video editor when pressing "edit" for a video)
Added Features:
XtremeMusic v7.0 by: @androidexpert35 (insert thread link here)
Dolby ATMOS (overrides Samsung SoundAlive in stock Samsung music player as well as system wide audio)
Known issues: (same as the stock UN5 rom)
This is the list of known minor issues upon initial release. Some are beyond my control.
I haven't had time to look at these issues and it's very likely that i will not have them fixed before Marshmallow is released.
Sprint Zone will fc during initial rom setup. it is looking for the bloat installer and ID apps which are removed.
FM radio is broken (I plan to finish solving this problem in the future as I have a good sense of direction to solve this )
[*]World clock tab in the clock app does not work. (I know the cause of this problem and will try to fix it another time)
Some Samsung apps (specifically 64bit versions) cannot be updated through Samsung galaxy app store. This is to be expected and they will fail to install. Please consider this before you remove any stock samsung apps!
S-View cover doesn't work.
Did i miss anything? I think that's about it! Please report any issues or bugs if you find something. Also PM me so your report doesn't get overlooked.
Changelog***v2.1*** Initial release (rom features listed above)
***v2.1a***
Fixed stock samsung audio
Fixed highest volume audio bug
Fixed stock Samsung SoundAlive (however the bass knob in SoundAlive has a bug where bass will drop if you turn it to the left. Leave it centered for the best results)
Made major adjustments to XtremeMusic installation and removal via aroma. It will now work exactly how it needs to work! Removal process will return stock audio exactly as it was originally! This is custom tailored for this rom ONLY. DO NOT FLASH THE OFFICIAL XTREMEMUSIC REMOVAL ZIP!!! IT WILL TOTALLY MESS UP STOCK AUDIO. THAT REMOVAL TOOL WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Fixed GPS issue
Fixed World Clock
Fixed various things in aroma
Replaced root package with the same version from UN5 Hybrid rom
Updated all apps
Added 32bit N4 camera modes
Added New options in aroma for N5 & S7 browser and new TW launcher (MM 6dock 5x5 app drawer)
Improved scripts in aroma to handle switching between the launchers and browsers. Expect a clean slate when switching between these apps in aroma. There should be no issues now.
Streamlined ROM Install section of aroma: Removed ability to skip certain features in aroma during ROM install, making them mandatory selections. This will prevent issues during initial ROM flash, making it more "fool-proof" in the event somebody decides to dirty flash on top of an existing system and in other situations. Once ROM is installed use the "Add/Remove Features" in aroma and you will have no problems.
I may have missed something... if so i'll edit this as needed.
***v2.1b***
Fixed MOAR custom launcher not installing when flashing the rom
Fixed problem with updating SuperSU and losing root when flashing ad-ons in aroma.
Updated Dolby ATMOS (included with XtremeMusic Mod)
Added MaxxAudio (included with XtremeMusic Mod)
SoundAlive will now be removed when you install XtremeMusic mod (it interferes with other audio mods. It's not needed anyway if you're running better audio mods.)
Added options in aroma to install iOS or stock Samsung Emoji (can be found in AddRemove Features AOSP/TW section)
I think that's it...
Before you Flash!!!
Before you flash this rom you absolutely MUST be running the latest OK1 software for the Sprint Note 4 with the latest bootloader as well as having your phone fully activated. While on the stock un-rooted OK1 rom, you will need to go to Settings/System updates and update PRL then update Profile. Reboot your phone and then go to Settings/Activate this device and launch it to properly activate your phone on the sprint network. Once this completes, make sure data, calls and gps works as it should. You must also download the latest TWRP v3.0 and flash it with odin on your PC. Aroma does not work right on older versions of TWRP so please update it before flashing this rom! Warning: DO NOT use Material theme in TWRP! It will cause you to not be able to read any of the text in Aroma. Once everything is activated and working and you have the latest TWRP installed, proceed with the flashing instructions below. If you ignore these requirements please expect issues and don't ask for help until you do these initial steps.
Note: You can either take the ota updates in order on your phone via OTA updates, or use odin to flash the software in order of release until you are fully updated. OTA updates on your phone are installed differently than odin packages therefore you may only have to take one or two updates to become current. The OTA updates run scripts to patch your current rom unlike odin tar packages that completely write the entire partition replacing everything clean. I will not go into great detail about that here. I have covered this many times in my other threads so if you aren't sure then do some searching here in the Note 4 forums.
***Before you flash any rom, please make sure your battery has at least 50% charge***
Flashing Instructions:Lets begin...
1. Download the rom
2. Check the MD5!!! Use a MD5 checksum tool on your pc or phone (Google is your friend)
3. Copy the downloaded rom to your phone's internal storage or micro-sd card
Note: It has become apparent to me that if you are coming from another custom rom, especially another port rom, that you MUST also wipe your internal storage. Left over data from other roms DO cause major problems! So if you want the best trouble-free experience with this rom, I highly recommend that you backup anything you need from you internal storage and wipe it in recovery. You should do this before placing this rom on your internal storage or else put the rom zip on your micro-sd card.
4. Backup anything you need to backup from your internal storage and copy it to your pc or sd-card (DO NOT RESTORE BACKED UP APPS! INSTALL THEM FRESH FOR THE BEST TROUBLE-FREE EXPERIENCE!)
5. Reboot to TWRP 3.0 custom recovery. Press "Wipe". Do the "Factory Reset" several times then go into "Advanced Wipe" options and wipe Dalvic Cache, System, Data, and Cache several times.
6. Go to recovery home screen and select "Install" and select the rom that you have already copied to your phone in step 3. above.
7. Flash the rom and the Aroma script will step you through the install process. Just follow the on-screen menu and choose the options you want and install the rom. Once it finishes uncheck the reboot checkbox and let it reboot to recovery. WAIT!!! DO NOT REBOOT YOUR PHONE YET!!!
***THE NEXT STEP IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!! It is done in order to clear the phone's current battery stats and prepare the phone for proper battery calibration***
***If you skip this step you will possibly have incorrect and misread battery capacity by your phone and will result in incorrect battery capacity problems*** Trust me. Do as I say and you will be perfectly fine.
8. While back in recovery go to the recovery homescreen and select "Reboot" then "Power Off".
9. With your phone powered off remove your battery. With the battery removed press and hold the power button for AT LEAST 20 seconds then release it.
10. Replace the battery and power on your phone. If the phone reboots into recovery then simply press "Reboot" then press reboot "System".
11. The initial boot process will take around 7 minutes. Just be patient. It will boot.
12. Once the phone has booted and you see the setup wizard screen, select your language then press the botton to continue to the next step. STOP HERE!
***THE NEXT STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!***
13. Stop at the wifi setup screen!!! Turn wifi off or leave it on, it doesn't matter. But STAY ON THIS SCREEN until your Sprint data has fully connected or else you will
not be able to sign into your accounts and the setup wizard will not be happy.
14. Once you have a data connection continue through setup wizard as usual.
That's it! You're done!

@tx_dbs_tx thanks for the port and everyone involved.

Thanks Tx. Very well deserved thank you. You guys are awesome

BIG THANKS to @tx_dbs_tx for this bad a** rom.

FYI. Although this is MOAR v2.1, it is technically still v1.0 for the port. So if there happens to be a significant issue that needs to be fixed, i will edit any future releases with an alphabetical extension Ex. Ultimate_Note5_Hybrid_Moar-ROM_v2.1a.zip... Ultimate_Note5_Hybrid_Moar-ROM_v2.1b.zip, and so on. That's IF there is a need. Also, if and when the original MOAR rom gets updated and if i do port it, the version number of the original rom will be reflected on the port rom as well. But I can't guarantee i will port any future builds. There's just too many variables for me to make that commitment. But i will try. Enjoy the rom!

Y'all are in for a treat. Endless customization awaits. TAKE THE RED PILL...

Moar is here the best Rom available for the Sprint Note 4...... Thank you @tx_dbs_tx

Question im on the base, ultimate n5 right now and its flawless. Do i still need to revert back to stock unrooted ok1 thru odin? Or can i just wipe evrything and flash this bad boy? In twrp 3.0 of course.

No. You already have the OK1 stuff so just follow the op minus ok1 update. Your good to go.

This is officially legit, customizable and improved over ultimate Note 5 ported stock base.
Thanks tx_dbs_tx! Lots of fun testing and following this build. And I'm thinking this will only get better going forward.

"A ROM aimed at giving you the core features of TouchWiz, and much more!"
YOU MUST FLASH THE I747UCUEMJB MODEM FOR AT&T GALAXY S III IN ORDER FOR DATA TO WORK; OTHERWISE YOU WILL NOT HAVE DATA! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLASH THIS ON ANY OTHER DEVICE BESIDES THE SGH-I747 OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE!
AS USUAL, I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR DEVICE! ONE WRONG MOVE (Especially with the Modem) AND YOU COULD END UP WITH A VERY EXPENSIVE BRICK. PROCEED AT OWN RISK.
Please do not kang any part of this ROM without developer permission, violators WILL be caught, and moderators will be notified.

"Your rom saved my phone. 4.3 update blocks changes to the nv registry - so people who lost their imei are no longer able to use the preferred method of using nv- items reader writer. however.. when using your rom it works!!! thanks so much man. you're doing excellent work."

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When I flash the ROM the installation freezes? What am I supposed to do now?
A: This is a known issue with AROMA, it tends to freeze up (I'm guessing due to a lot of window options?) during initiation, you didn't do anything wrong. Just pull out the battery, reboot into recovery, and reflash. No need to freak out. Repeat as many times as needed.
Q: What happened to everything on my sdcard?!
A: When you flash this it will appear as if you've lost everything on your sdcard. You haven't, it just created a new folder '0' so you'll need to move all of your files/folders from /data/media/* to /data/media/0/*
Q: I can't find the Developer options.
A: Settings>More>About device>Tap 'Build number' a couple times
Q: Long pressing Home button doesn't bring up the Recents menu?
A: This is due to a bug in the Wanam XPosed app. Go into the app, long home key behavior and change it from "Recent apps list" to "Classic Recent on Android 4.2 (reboot menu on 4.3)" then changed it back to "Recent apps list" and reboot. (Thanks pp085ster!)
Q: Some of the options i chose in XPosed Mod Apps don't work?
A: This is a known issue, due to incompatibility between the app and the ROM. Hope the app developers will provide an update soon.
Q: Will this work on my T999V/N/L
A: Yes, but i doubt data would work for you without the proper modem.
*Don't attempt to flash the Modem mentioned in OP, that is ONLY meant for SGH-T999 users
Additional Information
So why don't some features work?
Well, the Galaxy Note 3 features being used our Galaxy S III's is 'taken' from officially released from Samsung for the Galaxy Note 3.
However, those phones have slightly different hardware and features than our devices- so they aren't the same. This means that parts of the software have to be 'ported' to work on the Samsung Galaxy S III. Some features will never be ported due to lack of compatible hardware.
OK, so why is porting so difficult?
The Android O/S is 'open source' meaning that anybody can see the actual source code for themselves, and see how it all works. They can modify it and adapt it to suit their needs (good).
Phone manufacturers USE Android in their phones, but they don't have to make all their own 'extra' software open source too. They like to protect their software by keeping it secret (not so good). There are many reasons why they do this, both good and bad, but it makes porting difficult.
When developers don't have access to the source code for parts of a phone, they have to write their own!... this means they have to have highly detailed knowledge of the phone, its hardware and other software components. Sometimes they can try things by trial and error, sometimes they have knowledge from a similar phone, and sometimes they just don't know.
This is the most common issue for 'ported' ROMS. Things like Power Management, Camera, WiFi, GPS etc are the things that make one manufacturer's phone stand out from another, and therefore end up 'secret'.
This does not mean that they will never work, it only means that they take longer to get working.
Who does the porting?
The actual porting is done by surprisingly few people:
- Some guys who know 'inside secrets'
- Some guys who are just great developers but who don't have the secrets
- Some guys who can develop but need a little guidance
- Some of them are 'great guys' helping the community (and keeping their own skills up to date)
- Some of them have other motives (good and bad)
- Some of them form teams to work on different ports
Why don't all the developers work together?
Developers are people - they have all the same issues as everybody else:
- Some like working alone
- Some feel that other developers standards aren't high enough
- Some are trying to fix a specific problem that THEY want fixed
- Some teams have different goals (one team might be aiming for a port that can work on 5 different phones, whilst another team are focused on a single phone. One team may want a totally 'clean' ROM and another want a ROM with lots of customisation options built in)
- Sometimes, people just don't get along with each other
I thought the ROM makers did all this work?
You'd be wrong.
The ROM developers use the ported code to make their ROMs. Sometimes they can choose different components from the various development teams to build a ROM.
Imagine a motor car:
1) The 'developers' make the engine, wheels, steering, chassis etc
2) The ROM Makers build their car choosing the components they need for their ROM
3) The 'Modders' add custom paint colours, fancy headlights, custom interior etc
The 'developers' are not smarter than the ROM makers, and the ROM makers are not smarter than the modders. They just have different roles (and some people do all three roles!)
Hope this clears some things up, thanks for reading.

Is there a custom kernel for the new 4.3 out there anywhere?

I was wondering that since I suck with custom kernels, the answer is basic.
We already have a custom kernel, it's in the OP. It's insecure, and allows init.d. But as for one with custom govs/I/Os, no sadly.
@stratatak7 my good man, I do have a question for you. We can see that init.d works because of SuperSU, but for the life of me I can't get init.d to enable and read from sysctl.conf might you have an idea why this is? Thanks in advance.
Very tempted to try this, stupid question, if I've been running a 4.3 aosp rom do I still need to install the modem? Also, does daydream work?

Not a stupid question at all! Please continue to ask and learn. Yes, if coming from ANY ROM that isn't 4.3 Touchwiz, you will need to install the modem.
As far as Daydream, I haven't yet used this feature. So sorry, I don't know this one. But it should.

Thanks for the speedy reply. If I install this, modem and all, and I don't like it or for some reason want to go back, can I just restore from a nandroid or will the new modem prevent this?

restore the nandroid, if you get data issues, then flash back to older modem

Some people have had nandroid problems. Rest assured it is not the modem that causes it but something else we don't know of yet.
However, you could always flash the ROM again, and reflash the modem you had before and everything will work fine.

[ROM]ECHOE V12 S.E.P-TW-4.3-MK2/AnyCarrier-SS-KNOXfree-CLEAN-FAST-THEMED-gogoliePORT

After receiving the go ahead from friedrich420 to go ahead with this port I decided to get it out quick. I'm not sure if that'd make it official or not I'll have to see.
Gogolie'sROM Port:ECHOE V12 See.Emily.Play.-TW-4.3-MK2/AnyCarrier-SS-KNOXfree-CLEAN-FAST-THEMED-OFFICIALPORTROM - SAFESTRAP (Install to any slot and restore to Stock slot too! Compatible with VZW - AT&T - TMO and can be installed on MDK/MDL and should be any phone with TWRP recovery.
original vzw port thread (post questions there or search actual rom's thread for more info)
If you dont know ECHOE get familiar (read the 1400 page thread.). This version features a cool Floyd theme. Restore it to your stock slot in Safestrap or to any slot you like or restore it with TWRP/Philz any recovery that is TWRP compatible should work. AT&T and other carriers may need to flash your MK2 modules or add in TMO APN / AT&T APN settings to get this beast working 100%. If that didn't fix your problem then you need to install the GSM / LTE carrier modem (just guessing that your GSM if you can't get this going as thats been only complaint of lost data and he was able to fix it with proper carrier modem).
Known issues/Not Working (only for select users):
No issues exist if phone is setup properly. however...
If it doesnt work for you I'm sorry your best bet if your on VZW is SS with something else installed stock slot would be mk2/mj7 stock odin, reroot, ss,(I go to MK2 as I have best speeds and benchmarks with it) n I know it will work flawlessly if rooted and setup as described cause I've used this ROM package on 7 phones for clients (1 AT&T, 2 TMOs one with mdl bootloader and one with locked and 4 VZWs).... enjoy took me some time to put together so if it works thank me or better yet donate so you can see updates and more roms!
Due to packaging restraints and installation issues a familiar format like .zip is not available yet but will be soon. Until then please use the TWRP/SS restore option as its a more viable install and can be restored onto any slot including Stock through Safestrap. If someone wants to help the cause please install this through philztouch then create a zip from the rom do not flash anything else over the rom and upload the zip and PM me the link it'd help me out a lot!
Lil about me: I'm a now broke, technically I'm disabled (w/ 4 crushed discs in spine the gov says I'm too young to get disability and shouldn't admit that MMJ medicine works for me they=heartless pricks)I'm a full time single parent of a 1 yr old so I don't get a lot of time for my passions anymore. ex award winning programmer (lost the love for it, be sure to copyright anything you intellectually own especially when it comes to working with G or MS. they'll steal your everything claim you signed it over and hang you out to dry) now i'm just a fellow android lover with a knack for making things work when they normally won't, experimenting, coding, scripting, anything I feel like doing so if this or any of my other creations or additions to your phone helped you in any way help keep my kid in fresh diapers or put a beer in my hand please. Anything is better than nothing I have spent countless hours learning testing and everything in between to bring you cool stuff like this. Thanks!
Install:
Unzip into your new SS backup dir into your backup Safestrap folder in a folder like gogolies-echoe12v3 make sure all files are simply in 1 folder and that folder is in your backup directory and restore to a ***blank/newly created or STOCK*** rom slot. I went super small as small as SS would allow for slot creation. If your getting an error on restoring be sure to try deleting the slot and re-adding it then restoring the system files. If your WiFi doesn't work try flashing MJ7 or MK2 SS modules but only flash modules after 1st booting up rom and knowing wifi isnt working. 1st boot takes time plz allow a minute after loading up 1st time.
Download SS/TWRP Install by Restores NEW VERSION #420!!:

3a. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Backup
2. Recommended Recovery: PhilZ Touch
3. You need to do a clean install!!! Wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, Wipe data/factory reset and Wipe System (In Philz recovery use the Following Options: Wipe Data/ Factory Reset/ Clean to Install a New Rom) and then Install Zip (from either external or internal SD depending on where you chose to save the Rom)
4. The installation process takes between 3-5 minutes. Let it do its job Also the 1st boot also takes 3-5 minutes. I would also recommend that before the initial setup, you dont do anything to your phone for 5 minutes... Let it settle and then proceed with the initial setup... That's just my usual ritual with any Rom I flash
Note: Even if you are coming from a previous version of Echoe Rom, it is still STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you do a full wipe before flashing!!
5. Reboot and Enjoy
6. If by any chance you have any issues with LTE, do the following:
Using Root Explorer or an analogous app go to data >property>persist.radio.lteon.xml open the file in Text Editor and change the value to true. Save and Exit and Reboot
- ALSO READ THIS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND USER FRIENDLY GUIDE TO FLASHING THE ECHOE ROM CREATED BY @fAiLOfax !!! (Thank you so much!!): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47227598#post47227598
3b. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS HUGE THANKS TO @Mr.Yawnie
Full/Slim versions:
VERSION 5.0 ONLY
Q: S-browser in missing in v5, where can i get it?
A: It has been removed on purpose as it didn't work with the current kernel (kept FC).
Q: Does 3minit framework work with this rom?
A: No, not yet as 3minit haven't been updated to support android 4.3.
Q: How can i get back the call recording option?
A: With Xposed framework. This module has been confirmed to work.
Q: I have poor connection and/or i keep losing connection occasionally when screen shuts. Is there a fix for this?
A: Yes. Flash mj5 modem in Odin.
VERSION 4.0/4.1 ONLY
Q: I don't have the S-Browser and Samsung keyboard! Please help!!"
A: Both the stock browser and keyboard have been deleted on purpose since they did not work well with the 4.3 leak and kept FC. You may try to install them back yourself and most likely you'll face the issues mentioned.
Q: My wi-fi keeps forgetting the ssid and it takes 30 seconds to connect. How can i fix this?
A: This is an issue in version 4.0 only, and has been fixed in v4.1. Please update your rom.
Q: My LTE signal doesn't stay on when i turn off the screen. I lose my connection completely. Is there i fix for this?
A: This is a known issue and has been mentioned in OP as a bug. In Connections/ More Networks/ Mobile Networks/Network Mode choose GSM. You can choose LTE if you want but unless you are in an area that has non-stop LTE coverage, you will face the following bug: when your screen is off, it will lose the networks and stop mobile data. That wont happen when the screen is on and its really fast. So the solution would be to have the GSM option ticked and that way you still have mobile data even with screen off.
Q: I don't like the custom EchoeRom background. How can i get back to stock?
A: To revert back to stock background please flash this .zip https://mega.co.nz/#!CwoDBRyK!Pk7V9m8tzpwxTby-dZub7yeWLB4oCXmTeSU-CWCUdJ4
ALL VERSIONS
Q: Is there a possibility of getting knox status 0x1 and thus void root when flashing this rom?
A: No, Echoe roms does not include bootloader so you will still have the old bootloader if you had it prior to flashing Echoe rom. This way you can still have an old bootloader with fully working newer firmware bases, even the new 4.3!
Q: I have lost the brightness bar after flashing Echoe V 3.1. How can I reinstall it back?
A: It has been removed on purpose, however you can get it back by flashing either one of the .zips below:
Add Brightness Bar: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hxsp1xo333ivim0/AddBrightnessBar.zip
Add Brightness Bar and Remove Transparent Background: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4xzkpd3w2mney8a/RemoveTransparentBGandADDBrightnessBar.zip
Q: How to disable 4-way rotating lockscreen?
A: You can just flash one of the .zips below and remove either just the lockscreen rotation or both lockscreen and 4-way screen rotation.
Remove Lockscreen Rotation (in other words, to keep just the 4way screen rotation): https://www.dropbox.com/s/9z1eghz9lfpyb54/4wayRotation.zip
Remove both Lockscreen Rotation and 4way Rotation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v2kuqbt6ni32iit/RemoveLockscreenand4wayRotation.zip
Q: LTE is not working, how can i fix it?
A: Using Root Explorer or an analogous app go to data >property>persist.radio.lteon.xml open the file in Text Editor and change the value to true. Save and Exit and Reboot. (if you don't have the persist.radio.lteon.xml file, download and paste it from https://mega.co.nz/#!cJhQkSBI!c3AqJDWYv0sleCNjLvFlbkhnn34b1Y7TdXwa51ajurw and change permissions to rw---)
If this doesn't work and you don't have LTE option in settings, try downloading and flashing this zip Http://l.bitcasa.com/p3BbVcQo.
Q: Is there a way to enable fast charge?
A: Currently Adam kernel does not support it, but you try Ausdim kernel instead as it has the option for fast charge.
Q: How to delete sound in bootanimation?
A: Navigate to system/media/audio/ui/PowerOn.mp3 and change it to PowerOn.bak or delete it completely using root browser or similar app.
Q: I'm getting really poor screen time. How can I fix it?
A: You need to use WLD (wake lock detector) or similar app to see what app(s) cause you wakelocks. Remember to enable system apps from setting settings.
- if it's media scanner that's draining your battery, download 'rescan media scanner' from the market to disable media scanner.
- if it's NlpCollectorWakeLock, then go to Google settings > Android Device Manager and uncheck Remotely locate this device.
It is also good to use Greenify to hibernate apps and save your battery.
Q: I have FC while trying to change volume settings. How to get it working again?
A: It is an issue with older 3minit framework. Download Echoe3minit and the problem is solved.
SLIM specific questions:
Q: I have problems with email/alarm/live wallpaper/whatever app, could you please help me?
A: Download the necessary .apk file(s) from Deleted files in here http://www.mediafire.com/folder/mru89xyk9htzh/ECHOE_Slim_deleted_Files#dw0vdb9z3ydbh and copy paste it to system/app (overwrite, change permissions to rw-r-r, reboot). If unsure what .apk's to download, address your questions to Director Of EchoeSlim Development: @tschulieh
For stock email app, you need SecEmail_J.apk (and SecExchange.apk)
For live wallpaper, you need SecLiveWallpapersPicker.apk
For alarm to work with S-view flip cover (only v3.0 and below, not 3.1), you need ClockPackage.apk
S-VIEW FLIP COVER USERS - Please check if alarm works with s-view cover closed. If not, you're running slim version v3 or before and need to download the clockpackage.apk from deleted files and follow the instructions above. Reason for this is that SLIM versions prior v3.1 has ported clock app from SGS3 and thus does not support s-view.
Q: I'm using SLIM version of Echoe and there is no stock email app. Can I get it back and if yes, how?
A: Yes, you can. Just download SecEmail_J.apk from deleted files http://www.mediafire.com/download/s4bm9mzmy72f356/SecEmail_J.apk and Copy-paste it to system/app. Remember to change permissions to rw-r-r and reboot.
Q: Can't find ringtones on my phone, where are they or why aren't they there?
A: Ringtones are deleted in SLIM versions. You can download them back from http://www.mediafire.com/folder/mru89xyk9htzh/ECHOE_Slim_deleted_Files#6d92lx1acork4. Remember to save the .ogg files to ringtones folder in internal or external SD.
Q: How can i get Google Camera to work in Slim?
A: Download and install GalleryGoogle.apk file from here http://www.mediafire.com/download/785u2w6l6culuub/GalleryGoogle.apk.
Extra questions:
Q: How to change permissions and what app should i use to do it?
A: Almost any root file manager app will do, but Root Explorer (paid app) and Root Browser (free app) are proved to work without any issues.
Q: Echoe rom md5 checksums are not in OP. Where can i find them?
A: In the download page on androidfilehost.com
Q: Where can i find Echoe banners for my signature?
A: From post #1081 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44372885&postcount=1081 and in OP.

Flashing this Rom voids your warranty. And as with any custom Rom it comes with the usual dangers/ side effects such as, but not limited to, explosions, wars, spontaneous combustion, your pet forgetting all his/her tricks, retrograde and anterograde amnesia, interpersonal alienation, a number of psychosomatic, neurological, and metaphysical complaints, and in general an overall disturbance in the "order of things". Having said all that, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for anything happening to your phone as a result of you flashing this Rom...

\Please accept my apologiez, I got caught up on the word "porting" that I didn't know this was base on T-mo's latest FW, so it should have Wi-Fi Calling, I would gladly test But I still dont quite understand this installation Method:
1st boot takes time plz allow a minute after loading up 1st time.??
SS back up dir? Back Up SafeStrap?? ***blank/newly created or STOCK*** rom slot??
Again Please accept my apologie I didn't mean to disrespect your work...
Edit: I tried to restore by placing the unzip file from your download into the Phil'z Recovery folder and I got a MD5 mismatch error...
I'm excited about this, and the three other rom ports in your signature. But I'm also confused about how to install. Safestrap is totally new to me until this post. It may be a good thing to learn about, but for now I just like TWRP. If I'm reading right, it sounds like the TWRP installation method consists of downloading and unzipping a zip file that contains a nandroid backup which we are to restore in TWRP?

Not sure safestrap applies to us. It is for locked bootloaders. I don't think ours is locked. Not sure how to install these roms either.

sorry been offline working on somethings just figured out AFH messed up my last batch upload sorry guys. yes you install this via TWRP or philz (ive done both for my TMO friends). sorry I suppose just a .zip would work for you guys but this is the method now widely used by my followers...
just unzip the zip figure out where your TWRP bakup folder is and place my folder in it then restore. APN's I believe will automatically restore for tmo if not plz reflash your modem with apns attached or restore APN's however you please. I don't have the power to b in 4 places at once so if you have a question PM me or visit the verizon thread they will help you there too enjoy
Easier to flash than I thought. I will try all of them. Thanks

this happens to me with all of his work.. and Support is almost none existent, Mods feel like he just posting this kinda of work everywhere just to collect donations, his threads are being close..
Jerdog:
"Not only is the OP an assault to my eyes and causing me to feel like I am on acid... but the OP can't support this (as is evidenced by his first few posts) and he's wasting everyone's time.
XDA doesn't look kindly on blind builders/kangers/modders/etc. who will post nonsense all over in an attempt to gain notoriety when they can't support something, all the while hoping people donate. And given the content in his OP, that's precisely what is going on here.
so closing this thread and others like it."

4.3 Release can be found here
Although I did test this rom there is always a chance things can go wrong. I am not responsible for what you do to your phone. You should know what you're getting yourself into.
If you don't, please do not flash this and READ, READ, READ these forums until you feel confident enough to do so.
This is how I envision touchwiz 4.4.2 on my galaxy s3 in the spirit of my favorite rom dandroid by danvdh. If it wasn't for him loserskater and enewman17 I would of never fallen in love with this site as much as I have. Buy those guys some beers!
Everything looks a bit different now on 3.0. Please send me some screenshots and make a video if you have the time to contribute. Thank you.

TMS3KK 2.3.2 8-24-14 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55031264&postcount=1106
- GMSCore updated and working properly
- 3minit Battery Mod updated to version 2
-Disable battery percent in settings> more>battery
- Call recording isn't working yet. I need to look back into it
- AOSPMms removed and S5Mms back as default. Messages will be wiped on this update.
- Hopefully fixed "Battery Notifications" in extra settings. On full charge with it enabled systemui would force close until you unplug the charger.
- Status bar icons and text now Maximum brightness thanks tdunham
- MMS issues fixed
- SystemUI.apk will still force close once on initial boot, ignore it it seems to stop after that first time
TMS3KK 2.3.1 8-19-14
-582 mb
-I highly suggest the full 2.3.1 with a clean flash (wipe system, data, dalvik and cache). Dirty flash worked for me also but if you experience issues with google apps do a full wipe.
-Google App issues fixed
-Auto update disabled TBO Black Play Store (Thanks djdarkknight96)
-Keyguard.apk and SecSettings.apk updated to add Quick Unlock thanks tdunham, loserskater and enewman17
-Stock theme revert can be flashed just to make quick unlock work
-You'll still see 2.3 8-18-14 in settings about device. 2.3 changelog and bugs updated below also.
TMS3KK 2.3 8-18-14:
Ultimate.xml and other issues from 2.2 are gone
Updated to s3rx 4.0 8/12 release base. Thank you @enewman17
Updated to latest TBO Youtube and added TBO Pandora Thanks Train88 and Team Blackout
Updated Google Search and Playstore (playstore is black permanently and search can't be themed)
Updated SuperSU
Removed Loser Xposed Module and Wanam Xposed
Replaced Light effect with Lightning (White in dark theme and blue in stock) Thanks kr3g3r
Added a few android l notifications/ringtones/alarms and a few others that I use
This changelog may look small but you'll notice a difference
Bugs I've come across:
- SystemUI.apk may force close on initial boot, ignore it it seems to stop after that first time.
- NFC Polling under Extra Settings menu doesn't work yet.
- Google Play store may give you some trouble. If it does open titanium backup and wipe data for all the google apps. It could of only been doing this to me because I hadn't updated it to 4.9.13 yet. Fixed in 2.3.1
- In camera if you select 720p resolution you will get a force close.
- Message Blocking doesn't work with AOSPMms
- If wifi isn't working turn off smart network switch under wifi settings and reboot. This one is weird and smart network switch can be enabled again and doesn't cause this again... Making it tougher for me to figure out why it does it.
2.2
- Play Store updated. Thanks Gunthermic for the base and djdarkknight96 for yours as well. I like the mix of them a lot
- AOSP MMS is now default thanks Kryten2k35 and Cuzz1369
- OG Battery Mod removed, now we have 3 minit Battery Mod with over 1000 options. Thanks to pas2001 and gharrington
- Call Recording is now default
- ATT Address Book removed from contacts
- Everything from 2.1 added
2.1 Incremental
- Tethering is now fully working. Bluetooth and USB Tethering also
- Feature.xml made obsolete thanks to tdunham, its now ultimate.xml (This fixes its clashing with xposed)

- Launcher tweaks merged with mine
- Disable scrolling cache
- Disable app signature verification
- Removed airplane mode toggle verification popup
- Infinite lock screen pages and all widgets unlocked
- System wide spell check (Language and input setting)
- Removed safe volume popup

- Disable ASEC (Forward locked packages)
- Viper4Android built in

App ops
Notifications
Volume panel timeout
Crt effect
Battery Style
Keyboard notification
Alarm icon
Blocking Mode
Enable AOSP lock screen
Secure lock screen widgets

- Setup Wizard works in this one and is back
- Probably missing a few things
- Now just a Few facts for you all
- This borrows 5 system apks from my last ND8 release: Phone, Contacts, Systemui, Music Player and Settings.
- ATT didn't have any big difference in their settings except for wifi tethering that doesn't work.
- Phone and Contacts I didn't bother looking at what changed but I'll swap all of these out soon.
- The animated pulldowns can be customized by you and replaced easily, I will link or post a guide for this. Will also find a way to easily disable it.
- OGBatteryMod will get smaller also so start telling me which ones you guys like or want added because I'm redoing a lot of these to be white and tw blue, the thing is we can have multiple apks for that too and I can add a smaller one to the release.
- Linkin Parks new album is great.
- Thank you enewman17 for this base and docholiday77 and CNexus for both doing all the work they did for a device they don't own.
- And sorry to all the people who got a brick flashing the new modem. We will help you get it working again!
==================================
Making a backup is suggested before installation.
1. Make sure you are on one of the 4.3 or 4.4 bootloader and modem packages found below. (They still work on the NE4 build). I have added a link to the 4.4 ones also.
2. Full Wipe (Wipe Data, System, Dalvik Cache and Cache. I also suggest an internal sd wipe after backing it up)
3. Flash the Rom.
4. First boot may take a few minutes. Be patient it could take up to 5 minutes to boot and settle in.
Do not mix and match 4.3 firmware (bootloaders/modem) with the new 4.4.2 ones. You will hard brick and I warned you. This works the same as any 4.3 or ND8port ROM with 4.3 firmware and it can use the new 4.4.2 ones also.

==================================
- Smart network switch still shows on first boot in the wifi connection. Haven't found the cause yet. DON'T USE IT, it causes issues.
- Wanam Xposed breaks auto brightness. disable the setting in wanam>themes>brightness slider settings.
- Wanam Clock and battery mods do not work.
- Wanam lock screen tweaks shouldn't be used.
- Clock will be dim on first boot till you enter the Extras menu then the color will appear.
- Modified Note 2 and Note 3 camera will FC only on 720p video recording.
- Please report any bugs. If at all possible please try and recreate the issues while running a logcat. The issue can be solved much faster then just telling me "this don't work".
- GPS Fix:
Enter the Samsung service mode by typing this code into the dial pad *#197328640#
Then go to Mainmenu>UMTS>Common>NV REBUILD>NV REBUILD> (Important: don't exit the menu yet!)
Wait 30+ sec
Long press power button and select "Restart / Reboot"
Now check your GPS from any software that may use GPS like "Maps" or "GPS Status"...
If this doesn't fix it use GPS Status and toolbox
If it still doesn't work right you may need to remove your battery cover and tighten the little screws on the back of your phone, This actually fixed mines issues.

Ok flash this to fix long press kill and music control. It will also replace the stock calendar with the s5 one I meant to include with the rom. I still need to finish inverting it. This will also update the team black out update app.
Everything in this will be included in 3.1. This is just to fix the issues now instead of making you guys wait and download another 660 gb rom.

TMS3KK 2.3.2 8-24-14
Changelog:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55031264&postcount=1106

I forgot that removing the s5 gallery caused issues with the wallpaper picker for picking custom wallpapers. Flash this (s5 Gallery) for now until I look into fixing this which may not be tonight. The only way to set them is still at the home screen from the menu. I will try and find a way around these bugs at some point.

- Useless Software Update menu pulled from settings

- Took out the blackout google calendar and put the ugly samsung one back for now. If sync doesn't work for it get Google Calendar off the play store
- Updated play store thanks dj from team black out
- Removed adobe flash player because it wasn't working. If anyone finds a version to work let me know. It may require not using adaway or finding what to whitelist in it

- Added my semi themed S5 Browser
- Added Paper Artist back hopefully to clear up some other issues
- Swapped the fonts with the S5 ones

-To set wallpapers for the lockscreen until I figure out why the launcher doesn't recognize the app just set it to your homescreen so you can pick it or just do it from settings>display.

Changelog
1.1.0 5-1-14
- Final 4.3 Version (KitKat will be here soon)
- SElinux set to permissive off boot thanks to enewman17
- I only edited the ATT Kernel for this so if you use the mk5 one you may still have to disable selinux from extra settings > seandroid. (checkmark doesn't go away just click it and reboot)
- Google Voice set to default double tap home voice search app thanks to loserskater
- Page buddy added back in just to let this be a fully stable final release, remove it and disable it in display settings if you don't want it
- ScreenTimeout and Lockscreen toggles added thanks to CNexus
- If you're upgrading and use the i747m cscfix grab it again to update your build.prop (so it says you're on the newest version in settings)
1.0.2 4-26-14- Google Play Services updated
- Missing Calendar Widget added back oops
- No need to update if the rom works fine. Nothing major here except for new users not having any issues with google play services. If you're already running the rom loading the play store should update it.
- For the next update I plan to figure out how to disable selinux off initial boot and the other annoying install steps but everything runs smoothly and you can easily take care of these little annoyances and enjoy the rom.
- Check the myHUB app, I will be keeping it updated with rebloating and modifications. It can also be used for simple fixes and ota updates which should help with keeping down the number of times you have to update.
1.0.1 (4-22-14)- Updater Script Fixed
- TeamBlackOut Updater fixed
- Black Playstore and GMScore added
- myHUB has been added (If you're on the i747m please redownload the cscfix zip in op)
When you download files from myHUB they can be found in sdcard/myHUB to flash. When you first open it choose a name (preferably your name on here) its for comments on the app. This will be a very useful feature.
1.0.0 (4-20-14)- Initial Release

Mods
Be warned that when already using 3minnit battery mod you will need to flash the correct 3minnit battery mod zip after flashing the theme you want before rebooting or you might run into some major errors. Before flashing between themes I recommend making a backup anyway especially if you are using a mod like 3minnit battery mod.
So for those of you already running the stock theme looking to update it you will want to be careful to flash the 3minnit battery mod afterward. I have those zips made to remove OGBatteryMod.apk which will probably cause major issues when flashing other themes with files pointing to OGBatteryMod instead of 3minnit.

Try TWRP 2.6.3.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47840637&postcount=758
Or Philz CWM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335527
Not sure if the latest version of CWM works properly but I know people have problems with twrp 2.7 so I am leaving links to download the latest recoveries that I know work. You can flash these in recovery then reboot recovery and it should get rid of your status 7 errors.
^^ wow im glad it worked!! thanks.. I recently came from S3Rx rom but always wanna try whats new lol
It's working fine on my SGH-T999V with twrp 2.7.0 no error whatsoever and it's very snappy

Glad to see all the good feedback so far. I've been messing around with myHUB already and can't wait to put out an update with it but I want to squash some other bugs along with it. Heres what I have found that I am already working on.
TeamBlackOut Free (Which will let you download their great work and enjoy more apps that fit the theme) - Force closes. You can uninstall it and download it from their site in the Mods section of the OP for now.
SEAndroid (SElinux) is set to enforcing on install. I went over this in the install instructions and I plan to have this fixed as soon as I figure out whats causing it. I'll just include the other tedious tasks of disabling Page Buddy in Settings>Display and the Default Search App to this list of things that need fixed.
Updater script issues. I posted a fix and there shouldn't be any issues from doing it that weird way but I'd like to look into fixing it to work correctly
Google Play Services crashing - I need to update the version thats in the rom as well as some of the other google apps. Was thinking about using the TeamBlackOut ones. Loading the play store fixed this for me when it occurred though. I'd also like to find a way to disable the update coming up for some of these blacked out apps like the blacked out Youtube I have included with this ROM.
This is still a learning process to me and a hobby that I enjoy putting time into. Be sure to thank Enewman17 and Loserskater for all their hard work to make this possible. Them and Danvdh were my inspiration to learn how to do this and get this far and since all 3 of them have moved on to another main device I felt it was a fitting time to add another option.
If theres anything that I debloated that you'd like added back that I've missed post it here and I will post it for now then add it to myHUB for the next update.
4-22-14 Changelog
- Updater Script Fixed
- TeamBlackOut Updater fixed
- Black Playstore and GMScore added
- myHUB has been added (If you're on the i747m please redownload the cscfix zip in op)
When you download files from myHUB they can be found in sdcard/myHUB to flash. When you first open it choose a name (preferably your name on here) its for comments on the app. This will be a very useful feature.
I've got this uploading now and should have it posted in the next few hours. Tested and everything is working properly. The updater script doesn't malfunction and installs everything on the first flash as its supposed to do. The only bugs left now to fix are setting SElinux to permissive off the first install and the other default settings I've mentioned (Page Buddy and Default Voice Search App)
A dirty flash should be okay for those of you already on this rom but a full wipe is suggested.
Edit: Update in the op
Love the ROM, it's the fastest TW one I've used and the theme is gorgeous- I hate the default theme, especially in the settings menu. I'm running the 4-22 version, but play services still aren't working though.

Did you try just loading play store to make it update it? I'll see if I can get the newest version for the next update but that should get it working again.

Very Nice!

Great job on this ROM! Tired of some things not working on KitKat for now so decided to give it a whirl. Everything I use seems to work and work well. ROM is snappy and fast for TW.
One question just as a preference, is there a way to get the provided calendar to create a widget for the lockscreen or do I have to download the Google Calendar to do that? I like my appts on the lockscreen...........reminds my old brain about what I'm supposed to do for the day.
Thanks for this. Looking forward to what more you can do with it.

Thank enewman17 for how fast and well the ROM works. The S3Rx base and his kernel tweaks have been my daily driver for the last 4 months. Some of the things I debloated from it will really save your battery life but him and loserskater are to thank for most of this ROM. This is just my spin on it.
I'll get the calendar widget up in a few minutes and I'll see if I can get a play services fix up too.
Edit: Calendar widget flashable zip is attached. For play services delete GmsCore.apk from system/app and put the attatched com.google.android.gms-2.apk in data/app. You may not even need to add that one and just delete the one out of system/app if you already have it but if you need to add that one in data/app then make sure to fix the permissions to r-w-r--r--

I'll have to look into it. I might just switch to using google calendar and make it match the theme. I've heard of the samsung one not working for sync in the past.

Q. What is a clean flash?
A. Clean flash is as follows....
Boot to recovery
Hit wipe
Slide to factory reset
Back out
Hit install
Find zip
Slide to install
Reboot
This deletes everything except data. You will have to set the phone up again. All your pics and sounds and downloads are safe and will be there when you return.
Q. What is a dirty flash?
A. Dirty flash is as follows...
Boot to recovery
Hit install
Find zip file
Slide to flash
Reboot.
This deletes absolutely nothing, no wipe needed.
Q.What happens when I wipe data?
A.While in recovery if you select the "Wipe" button, you will then be taken to a screen with three options. Here is an attempt to somewhat clarify those options.
1. Swipe to Factory Reset - This is the most common way of wiping, and what is most commonly used for installing a new ROM. This option is considered a "Clean Flash".
2. Advanced Wipe - This option is used to specify partitions to wipe. It is generally okay to select all options here EXCEPT "Micro SDcard". This can also be used when doing a "Clean Flash".
3. Format Data - Deletes the contents of SD card, including pictures and music.
Q. Somethings are acting strange, is there a easy fix?
A. Boot to recovery, hit wipe, now hit advanced and check the cache and dalvik cache box's ONLY! slide to wipe, reboot system.
Q. Where can I find the add-on'?
A. In Rom Control
Q. My battery life isn't very good, how can I find what's going on?
A. Download "wakelock detector" and "better battery stats". Then if you are still confused, take a screenshot and post it.
Q. Why is the home button is not turning on the screen?
A. There is a toggle for it in Rom control, under hardware keys.
Q. Is off topic discussion allowed here?
A. Absolutely not, take it somewhere else..... Of course it's allowed here. We all love to chat, showoff, brag, and keep others in the loop. It's a big family in here!
Q. How do I check apn settings?
A. Settings>Networks>More Networks>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names
From here, you can reset to default by hitting menu/reset to default

Also, if anyone ever has issues with the website let me know and I will do what I can to get it right, thus far it has been fairly solid (minus that one time Brian broke the hell out of stuff,) and it should continue to be that way from here on out.

Also, if anyone ever has issues with the website let me know and I will do what I can to get it right, thus far it has been fairly solid (minus that one time Brian broke the hell out of stuff,) and it should continue to be that way from here on out.

Feature Request
@bri315317 - Not sure if this is possible, but I would like the option back under Accessories to output audio to external speakers. That way, in dock mode, audio is routed out through the microUSB port. This was available in the Note 3 and previous Samsung phones. It seems like they started removing the option with the S5. There is a thread here discussing it also: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/help/car-dock-audio-output-option-ibolt-t2907777
Thanks...Brian
Way to go Brian! Expand your family and devices with DK, you are a beast brother.

[ROM] [Hybrid-X] [Lollipop 5.0 & 5.1.1] [Pre-Rooted+Mods+AEL-Kernel] [8/25/2015]

Sprint Hybrid ROM SeriesLOLLIPOP 5.1.1
(Android 5.0.1 ROMs are in post #2)

I bring to you a Hybrid Sprint N910PVPU4COG5 ROM. Built from the official Samsung OG5 tar ball. The initial ROM release is available in Odexed and Deodexed. Both are identical beside being odexed or deodexexd. The ROM will self root upon flash and it has init.d/busybox support (to be determined once we have a kernel that supports it). Knox and Sprint Itson has been removed completely. The "Basic" ROM includes the stock pre-rooted OG5 "Beastmode" kernel provided by @freeza
Other than a few small mods and the REMOVAL of Knox, Sprint Itson and several pre-installed "bloat" apps, this ROM is stock in every other way. I spent a lot of time with root and the updater-script to make it flash and pre-root as it should with no hassles. I DO NOT give permission for ANYONE to use this ROM or any future version of it for your own ROM base or any other derivative of my ROM. So don't do it! I will build a stock base ROM soon and it can be used for other peoples' projects. Thank you. Enjoy!
About ROMs:
Hybrid Sprint N910PVPU4COG5 ROM **initial release for Android 5.1.1 software rev. OG5**
New base ROM built from the official Android 5.1.1 software version N910PVPU4COG5
Removed Sprint Itson and Knox
Pre-Rooted and SuperSU is pre-installed
Odexed version has the stock fully odexed frameworks utilizing ART (Android Runtime)
Deodexed 100% system and frameworks (best for future mods and Xposed, if and when it gets updated for Android 5.1.1)
Official OG5 modem and APN's included in the ROM zip
Updated all system apps (deodexed version only)
Ability to change view type in settings
Hotspot enabled by default
Voice call recording enabled
Camera shutter sound option enabled
Disabled usb connect/disconnect screen wake
Disabled auto-correction patent. (Thanks to "Crapple")
Call/Message blocking enabled in settings
Application permissions in settings
That's about it for this first release... more to come!!!!!
Hybrid-X 3.0 **X-Series is a more heavily modded, tweaked and themed rom**

Build.prop tweaks
Important Note: Before flashing this ROM. you MUST first have done one of the following: Taken the Lollipop OB7 ota update OR odin flashed the stock N910PVPU1BOB7_N910PSPT1BOB7_SPR rom tar or NEWER Lollipop build such as OE1, OF5 or OFG. If you are still on ANY KK based rom (including any KK AOSP/CM based roms) then you MUST first update to Lollipop by one of the two methods I mentioned above, BEFORE flashing this ROM. If you are still on the first Lollipop 5.0 OB7 rom or a stock/custom KitKat ROM and have NEVER updated to Lollipop before then I highly recommend flashing my custom OB7/OG5 rom tar found HERE. Read that thread for more information.
Flashing Instructions***Before beginning the flash/setup process MAKE SURE your battery has at least 50% charge and/or connected to the charger!!!***
1. Backup anything you don't want to lose off your internal storage to another location.
2. Download the rom using your pc. (downloading with your phone has a much higher risk of file corruption. Not recommended with large files).
3. VERIFY the md5!!! Once the download has finished, compare the AFH md5 using a md5 tool on your pc. (Google is your friend).
4. Put the downloaded rom onto your internal storage or external micro sd card.
Before you go any further you need to odin flash the latest TWRP (recovery). Uncheck the "auto-reboot" option in the Odin tool before flashing TWRP. Once it finishes flashing, press and hold the home button, volume down and power button for several seconds until it reboots then QUICKLY press and hold home, volume UP and the power button and it will reboot to recovery without the need to do a battery pull. Otherwise continue to the next steps below.
5. With phone powered off, reboot into recovery by pressing and holding volume up, power and the home button until you see the samsusung logo then release all buttons.
6. Once in recovery choose the wipe button and do a factory reset three times. Optional but recommended is to do a "Data" wipe. This will wipe all of your internal storage so MAKE SURE you backed up first like i said in step #1 above! Then go to "advanced wipe" and select all of the partitions EXCEPT micro-sd card and internal storage. Internal storage is optional but recommended on first time flashing Lollipop.
7. Choose the "Install" option and select the rom "Hybrid_Sprint_N910PVPU4COG5_Deodexed" from either your internal or external micro-sd card. It will flash the rom and give a confirmation once completed.
8. Press "Reboot" then "reboot system".
9. Initial rom setup will take around 10 minutes and remain on the yellow Sprint Spark screen for much longer than what you are used to. Let the phone setup/optimize for at least 10 minutes and the screen WILL eventually turn off OR show the setup wizard screen once it finishes.
10. When you see the screen turn off, you can proceed with the setup wizard. Once finished with setup wizard, you will be prompted for the "connections optimizer". Quickly set it to what you want and close it. That's it! You're done! Setup your rom as usual. Enjoy![/B]
WARNING: Flashing anything on your device is done at your own risk. There is no way myself or any other developer can guarantee that flashing this ROM or any other file will not brick your device or otherwise cause some other type of damage. This is just a standard warning. I am not responsible for anything that you do to your device. However I do take great time and effort to ensure all of my work is tested and verified good before releasing to the public.

Sprint Hybrid ROM SeriesLOLLIPOP 5.0.1
(Android 5.1.1 ROMs are in post #1 above)

About ROM:
For those of you who want your phone to have that pure stock look, feel and reliability along with the extra features that should have come on the phone straight out of the box..... this ROM is for you. It is completely stock other than disabled knox, root and some added features which will make you Happy Happy Happy!!!
This is the ROM that should have come on your phone when you opened the box. For my "Basic" ROMs the list of extra features will be limited because these are the base ROMs for all future builds which will include more features, mods, theme, etc.. What this means is that these stock "base" ROMs (along with it's few extra features) will remain just as they are and will NOT be changed, themed or modded in any way, unless an issue arises which I will fix. Later on, as time permits, I will release modified/themed versions which will have even more added features, tweaks and mild theming. This is the Hybrid Series ROM, which basically means combining the best mods & features from different devices and developers from XDA and making it better and more enjoyable, while at the same time giving you that reliable stock look and feel which you know so well. This is not an over the top themed rom. There's no developer signatures, names or logos throughout the ROM. I always keep everything looking clean professional and stock with no flamboyant icons, colors etc. This is my personal ROM that I use. It will progress and remain true to these standards. Enjoy!!!

*more mods coming soon...
***This Basic OB7 X-Series ROM will not be changed or updated. More features will be included in future builds of Hybrid X-Series ROM which can be found below***
Install Instructions:
If coming from stock NIE or NK2 KitKat rom you MUST first take the Lollipop ota update OR Odin flash the stock Lollipop OB7 ROM tar found HERE
Thanks @-viperboy- for uploading the stock OB7 tar! This is MANDATORY that you do this before flashing any stock or custom lollipop rom via recovery. NO EXCEPTIONS. There are necessary carrier partitions and updated bootloader etc that must be written to your device for Lollipop. BEFORE you Odin the stock OB7 rom tar you MUST reboot into recovery and do a factory reset AND wipe everything (except micro sd-card) several times. If you don't do this you will have left over data that will cause issues once you odin flash OB7. You have been warned. If you ignore these instructions then you are to blame for not following these simple instructions. Once you do these steps and you're on the stock Lollipop OB7 rom you can proceed to the Instructions below
* Flash using the latest version of TWRP custom recovery
1. Download my ROM zip file and copy it to either your internal storage or external micro-sd card.
2. Reboot into custom recovery. Do a factory reset. Then wipe cache, wipe dalvic cache and wipe system. Wipe each three times for good
measure. DO NOT ACCIDENTLY WIPE MICRO SD CARD!!!
3. Choose Install and select the rom zip file
* Lollipop flashes take a few seconds longer than KK roms. Once it finishes, choose reboot system. First boot will take around 15 minutes.
When the screen turns off it's ready for user setup.
* Done!!!
* Enjoy your fully working stock Hybrid Edition ROM!!!

* Added V4A/Dolby audio link in Samsung music settings for easy access and futher improves the stock look & feel.
* updated Galaxy tools to 3.1.8
* I may have forgot something... this will be the last release for a while and I wanted it to be stable and bug-free.

Fingerprint recognition working after NAND restore?
I'm still waiting on my Note 4 to arrive but have been reading through the forums looking for this, a very basic stock ROM to start with 'til I see a custom ROM with the kinks worked out.
One of the ROMs had an issue with Fingerprint recognition not working to unlock the device after a NAND restore. At that point they hadn't figured out if it was something relative to the Chainfire root process or the ROM or some Samsung issue after root. They were able to use the backup password but couldn't get the fingerprint recognition to work anymore at all, even after going back through the setup for it.
Has anybody tested fingerprint recognition after a restore? Any issues with that?
They were having some issues with Xposed as well. Is anyone running Xposed on this ROM yet? Any issues?
Glad to see everything is working!!
I took a hiatus for the holiday period and being in retail my time has been primarily on making them $$
Back for the next few weeks till the big Christmas hits and i may go dark for another week!!
Great job on getting things fixed and running right! !
ROM looking good!

You are talking about the actual saved fingerprint continuing to work from your nandroid restore correct? I personally haven't tested a saved fingerprint after a nandroid restore but I would have to assume that IF fingerprint scanner stops recognizing a saved fingerprint after a nandroid restore that it could likely be caused by the encryption getting broken during nandroid backup or restore process. If somebody has time to test and confirm the fingerprint scanner still works after a nandroid restore using the same saved fingerprint prior to the nandroid backup, please report back. Otherwise ill test this as soon as I have time. The fingerprint scanner itself should work just fine after a restore.
Edit: saved fingerprints and scanner work perfectly after a nandroid restore. This is not an issue.

I have done a restore after system my system went haywire from trying to change dpi.it recognized my finger print

Flashlight toggle and torch light option is already in my plans for future release. Download booster is already in the rom vi toggle. Just long press the toggle and it will take you to download booster. I will try to add it in regular settings menu when I can. I don't need to port anything from a different rom to do this.

The download booster can be toggled in the factory ROM as well but it doesn't actually work. The one from T-mobile actually does. Did you import that or are we working with what came shipped on sprint phones? Thanks.

It is the way it come shipped from Samsung & Sprint. Download booster is not enabled on the Sprint version and there's no toggle for it either. I did add the toggle but not the settings menu entry. I haven't tested it but if it doesn't work then that would explain why it wasn't an available feature out of the box. Why it doesn't work i couldn't say... other than incompatibility issues.
