Info on the Marshmallow update for Turbo 2 - Droid Turbo 2 General

I had a little chat with "ASHLEY" from Verizon's Live Chat. Apparently (and she told me this after i factory reset my phone) the marshmallow update is getting little patches so that everyone's phone is prepared... a little annoying since i almost got to installing but i had to take my phone off Wi-Fi for 6 1/2 hours while i was at school, and so the update i would've gotten was canceled by verizon or something... I even had downloaded part of it.
Just a little FYI.

Thank you for the update. I just picked up the phone. I deferred the update when I set up the phone and now I can't get the download back. Now, I most likely know why. I'll wait a day or two. If I can't get the update back, I'll hard reset the phone. Sighs...

Verizon's Twitter support just confirmed a hold on the marshmallow update. Any exact date then?

I had the OTA update notification on Friday but no wi-fi at work. Got home and the download failed and then got software up to date when checking on the phone. Plugged the phone into my pc Saturday night and the Verizon Wireless Software Update popped up saying an update was available. In less than 20 minutes I was good to go.

Except my device NEVER wants to pop-up on the software upgrade assistant, and it's on MTP mode. Any help with that? I'm on Windows 10 too.

Some have reported the the Verizon software update assistant works if you connect your phone to your pc/laptop via USB 2.0 -- but not USB 3.0. That didn't make a difference for me. We've got 3 Turbo 2's: two of them got both updates successfully OTA. One of them never got it OTA, and still gets nothing when we check for updates. I've tried connecting that third DT2 to my laptop and using the software update assistant - with the phone connected at different times to each of the 4 USB ports on my laptop (3 of them are USB 3.0, 1 is USB 2.0), and I've toggled MTP mode on and off, but no joy: the update assistant never recognizes the phone. However the laptop does, indeed, recognize the phone, and lets me open a file browser window and look at files on the SD card.
Only variable I'm not confident about here: when I connect the phone to the laptop, there's the typical Windows popup that asks what I want to do when this device (the phone) is connected to the laptop. Note: the update assistant is NOT offered: just typical options such as, "transfer media files to PC". Not sure which to accept, I've ignored that prompt -- wondering if perhaps I need to select one of these options in order to complete the MTP connection properly?

None of my USB ports work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything, with no results. Unless there is a manual solution available, I guess I'll have to wait through this 2nd straight Verizon branded false alarm.

You can run it and check for updates manually once it's installed. Just to be clear, when my phone is connected to my pc if I pull down the notification menu on my phone and tap the usb notification there is an option to install software that, when checked, adds a cd installer in windows explorer on the pc to install the Software Update and Repair assistant. @jonstrong I just ignore the pc popup or select take no action.

I had similar issues, I installed SUA on my laptop and it would not detect the phone. Installed it on my desktop and it recognized the phone. Both are running Windows 10.

What cords are you using to connect? Sometimes that can make a difference.

Doesn't matter what cord I have, won't detect. I'm screwed at this rate.

I can not get the Software Upgrade Assistance (SUA) to work on my Desktop PC but was able to get it to work on my wife's Desktop PC. I tried on my laptop and found that the Verizon Software Upgrade Assistance (SUA) works (recognizes the phone) on the laptop's USB2 ports but will not work on the USB3 ports. My wife's PC has USB2 ports and My PC has USB3 ports. All the above computers are running Windows 10.
Based on my testing, it appears that the Verizon Software Upgrade Assistance (SUA) does not work with USB3 ports.
Try using a PC or laptop with USB2 ports.

Won't even recognize on USB2. Repeating: Screwed

make sure that your phone does not have USB debugging on. Also make sure you are using OEM cable (from any brand really). COnnect to a USB 2 por and go to www.motorola.com/verizonsoftwareupdatewin (if you have a windows computer) or replace win with mac
Download, install, and run software assistant... unplug your droid turbo 2 a couple of times until the software sees it... then it should work

1. my signature is old... lol
2. don't let your phone lock/ go to sleep while it is downloading

For anyone who's still having trouble getting the update on their Droid Turbo 2 - my experience might be worthwhile knowing about:
We've got three DT2's (would have been four, but my son opted for an iPhone). The first two were offered the update when the first big wave came around - before they shut it down a second time; we accepted the 2 step update for those two phones, and they were both successfully updated to Marshmallow over a week ago. The third DT2 however never got the offer, and punching "check for updates" never found the update either -- even as recently as today, March 19.
I had tried connecting the third phone to my laptop via USB -- and made sure to use the USB 2.0 port on my laptop (the other three USB ports are USB 3.0), and made sure the phone was set to MTP mode. Still no joy. Never offered the "CD Install" option on the phone, even though I had checked both MTP mode and Software install on the phone under USB options.
Finally this evening I tried the same on a different laptop, and tried a different USB cable as well. This time, the phone actually offered the CD install option, and was able to prompt the laptop to download and install the Verizon Software Upgrade Assistant (VSUA). It was till touch and go for a while: once I fired up the assistant, it still didn't seem to recognize the phone the first several times I tried it. Finally -- I let it sit for a couple of minutes with the VSAU loaded and the phone plugged into the laptop, and this time the phone showed up in the Upgrade window. I selected it and clicked on the upgrade button. I was amazed at how long the download took, as I remembered the "1 of 2" upgrade being pretty small -- with the 2 of 2 being the 1.1GB file.
Finally - the download completed, and the update began. That also took a long time, but I could see the progress indication, so I was encouraged. In the end, this single upgrade completed, and then the Android "upgrading" process began for what I recall to be 40 programs (probably what my daughter had installed on her phone) -- again -- I was surprised at how slow this was, but I made a point of NOT disturbing it.
Anyway - it finished, rebooted, and after this SINGLE update, the phone was all the up to the latest update for 6.0 for the DT2 -- the same version I'm at after doing the 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 updates the week before last -- 24.24.11 kinzie_verizon.verizon.en.US . It seems that the VSUA got my daughter's phone there with a single update -- something that surprised me. Maybe there's a new update file out there that does this in a single pass? Don't know.
But -- the take away for anyone still frustrated by not getting the update yet should be: you probably CAN get it, if you're patient enough, and are willing to try a couple of different cables, and possibly different PC's (one of my laptops couldn't deliver the update, but another was somehow able). Seems that it's still on their servers waiting to be downloaded, and VSUA can actually function if you somehow get the magical combo of computer, USB 2.0 port, proper cable, and LOTS of patience and willingness to try something repeatedly.
Jon

Well I Finally managed to get the VWSUA going on an older computer. Upgrade in progress...

Upgrade complete. I'm now on Marshmallow. Thank you all.

Phone does not recognize it is connected to computer through USB

Good day fine sirs and ma'ams.
I would just like to say I love my Tilt 2, and have had it for a few months now with no real problems and this is about my 4th WM phone.
As of about a month ago, I have been unable to connect or sync the device to my PC.
I have WM Device center 6.1 (the latest from the website)
I am running windows 7
I had been able to sync the phone until about a month ago.
I have unchecked the box in the USB to PC for faster data synchronization.
Essentially, when I plug the phone into the computer, it just acts as if it is connected to a charger. Nothing comes up on the phone and nothing comes up on the computer. It just charges. I have even installed and uninstalled WMDC a couple of times.
I really am at my wits end here.
My question is, is there a fix for this apart from sending the phone in? I am able to flash the phone via the microsd card, and even tried going back to the e2 rom that is as close to the ATT rom as I could find.
I did find the stock rom, but it does not come with the image file, just the ruu.exe I believe. I cannot flash roms via the USB cable either, so I am only able to change things like I said, via the microsd card.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
And yes, I have searched, and have found many other people posting in other threads saying they have the same problem, and everyone just says to uncheck that one box, which I have done, so that is NOT the problem.
Also, I would just like to add that when I go into the windows directory and attempt to run activesync (repllog.exe) I get the following message.
(cannot communicate with the pc because of the fllowing remote networking error (Error 608)
I have seen others ask help for this question without an answer on xda-dev also.
Thanks again! If anyone has the solution here I think a lot of people will be very happy!
:-(
turn off your firewall then pug ur device in and see if that works... works for me... perhaps your firewall started blocking it for some reason... other than that good luck
I had similar things happen to me in the past. While the phone is connected, check Windows Update whether there is a new version of Sync Center. This has fixed the problem for me.
i appreciate the suggestions.
However,
I have the firewall disabled and it still does not connect.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the WMDC using the latest software directly from the website. There appears to be no updates for the program once it is installed.
Any other suggestions?
Have you tried multiple USB cables, multiple USB ports, or even multiple computers? I've had USB cables which aren't capable of data transfer, as well as USB ports on the computer go bad. You might also considering a hard reset, to ensure no software on the phone could be causing the problem. If it's truly the USB port on the device that's broken, then you're in bad shape if you want to return it to AT&T for repair. You may be able to flash the AT&T stock ROM, but you won't be able to restore the AT&T stock SPL, which they check when fixing the device, so you may very well have to fork over some money to get it fixed. Best of luck
My phone is doing this also.
Multiple PC's, multiple USB ports, multiple cables. All of which worked perfectly beforehand...
The other thing to try is Internet Sharing - when I go in there and press 'connect', then it says Check USB cable connection, connect USB to any of my PC's/laptops and it doesn't register on the phone.
This phone is really a piece of ****. I could rant on for hours about the stupid problems there are with this handset, I'm sure I'm not alone. Perhaps I expected too much.
Anyway, if anyone has any info on how to make my USB connection work I'd love them forever...!

Could be a faulty device...my phone connects to every computer, every time. take the phone to your provider and show them whats happening.
Also, i've had issues with the standard mini USB ( http://www.meditronik.com.pl/doc/mini/usb-kabel-mini=foto=canon.jpg ) not properly connecting/loosing connection.
Try a HTC usb it might work better: http://bestcellbuy.com/bargainsea/Pictures/HTC/OEM_Home_Charger_USB_Cable/OEM_HTC_Data_Cable_07.jpg
I've tried the HTC USB lead that shipped with my phone to no avail.
I think the device is faulty (surprise surprise). It charges from USB perfectly fine, every time.
I'll post back once I find out what Telstra say... it's obviously still under warranty but that isn't really the issue - It is just such a major PITA having to switch to a loan phone and deleting confidential business data etc from my phone before sending away for repair etc etc...
Thanks for the help though, it is appreciated.
Well, I've got my USB going again. Not sure exactly what I've done, but basically I pulled the battery out for a few minutes and replaced it, turned on and off the 'high speed' checkbox in USB Connection Settings, and it has come good.
****box phone.
Somehow mine started working again last night too. Same cable, same port and everything.
Really odd, but I'm not complaining at the moment!
It seems this problem is spreading, as i'm being terrorized by this stupid bug... This afternoon I've tried to get internet on my laptop (by connecting my phone to it), but it was just charging my phone, so I thought the cable was broken. Next I tried it at home on my desktop computer, with another cable, and it did the same (several reboots have passed).
I don't know if someone already tried it, but when you enter the bootloader, it says "Serial". Normally when you connect the USB-cable it changes to "USB" (at least with my kaiser, universal and wizard). on my phone it didn't...... can anyone check this for me??
to enter bootloader: hold volume-down-button and pres soft-reset-button.
thanks in advance!

thanks for your help.
I've flashed my device with the newest official from HTC, and it still doesn't connect with the usb-data (i used the "flash-from-SD" -method).
The strange thing was that it happened suddenly... i never use a headset with cable, so its almost impossible the connector is broken. Any ideas people??
btw, the device isn't SPL flashed, so i can't use other roms beside the official roms...
Same thing happened to me. No USB sync, no USB connection at all; it only charges. Thankfully I had a chance to flash to a custom ROM before this happened.
The only way I can sync my data is to use a bluetooth USB in my PC. Works quite well with my contacts, calendar, & email, but I have yet to try to transfer any large files.
The bluetooth USB I went with was ASUS USB-BT21 USB 2.0 Mini Bluetooth Dongle. It is VERY low profile, too, but I would have liked for it to come with an end cap like those USB flash drives, otherwise I have yet to find any complaints about it. The price was great and so much cheaper than spending an additional $70-$100 to get my USB port on my device fixed.
Here's my saga: No Syncing, No USB Connection
Best of luck!
Debbie
this happened to me before...when you connect your devivce to your laptop/comp, are you guys not getting the little pop up that says activesync & disc drive...??? if so jus make sure at least one of those are checked...sometimes both of the circles will be blank, thus the comp will simply charge it...
unplug the device for approx 10 sec then plug it in again, and the box should pop up again...
also...if you are tethered to your comp using the tp2's internet, your comp will not recognize your tp2's storage...

I've never used the SD-Card method myself, but now will have to due to my USB port no longer working.
I've been syncing by using Bluetooth USB and just tried transferring files via Bluetooth and it worked like a charm! Smaller files were instantaneous and large files took longer (of course), but also worked fine.
I just tried copying over a RHODIMG.nbh file and that bugger worked (188MB)... Excellent!!!
I did buy a USB card reader to transfer files, just to be on the safe side, but I must say that this little Bluetooth USB that I picked up is working awesome.

ATT Tilt 2 won't recognize computers all of a sudden

I have an ATT Tilt 2, and I've gone through roms like candy, and I still use the original USB cord that it had came with phone.
So I just bought a new computer a week ago, and ever since I can't seem to sync my phone up to my computer via usb cord (Bluetooth works fine). Now normally there's the steps to find the drivers, make sure active sync is enabled, make sure that small checkbox is checked or not. Data connection is enabled/disabled. Prompt when its connected to the comp, etcetc.
The problem is, the phone doesn't recognize that it's plugged into the computer, and just treats it as a power source. I've done some reading, and found there's a program that lets you trick it into thinking USB ports are power sources (fast charge or whatever) but I haven't downloaded nor install it.
Currently I'm running an EnergyRom rom, and I can't update it or change it.
I used to upgrade the rom every time NRG came out with an update, so I'm baffled to why all of a sudden it won't work.
Edit: I've tried connecting it to several computers, does the same thing. It won't realize it's connected to a computer.
Usually, if I pop out the battery, hit the power button a few times, then start it back, up... it will go back to working. The only times I ever seem to have this problem you are describing though is when I switch from active sync to "usb" (where it only looks at the storage card) and then when I switch back to active sync next time I plug it into a PC, it will not connect.
you should try to reinstall the activesync if you use xp.. hope itd help..
regards..

[Q] Windows 7 Doesn't Recognize my Continuum...

So I'm attempting to root the Continuum, but for some reason the phone won't effectively connect to Windows 7. For example, when I hook the phone up to my Samsung i7 laptop, all the phone does is charge. It doesn't even ask me if I would like to use usb storage or anything. The computer also doesn't recognize the device. Any ideas? Thanks!
A couple questions first:
- Did you install the Continuum drivers?
- Does your phone bring up the USB connection in the status bar?
- Does it bring up the Verizon VCast website on connection?

1. I likely did not install the Continuum drivers, and I have no clue where to get them. I'm assuming Samsung's website, but it's a bit hard to figure out and navigate...
2. My phone does not bring up the USB connection in the status bar.
3. When I go to the browser, it brings up the Verizon website with news, etc.
It should probably be stated as well that this phone is not activated. I am using it on wifi only for the time being because I traded it with a friend for another phone.
Alright, so I've figured it out. Strangely enough, I was just using a generic USB to microUSB cable, and I actually needed to use a Samsung cable. Weird, right?

So...now that I'm rooted, how in the world do I install a custom rom? I saw that there's a ClockworkMod Recovery out, but what does "Odin" mean? I'm coming from an LG Optimus V and have extensive experience rooting and installing custom roms and recoveries, but I've never heard of that before. Thanks again!
First, we dont have much for custom roms on this phone. The couple we do have contain fairly well written "how-to's" for them.
Second, if you are not sure, do some research and find out as many answers with the vast pool of knowlendge at your fingertips (the interwebs) as you can. There has already been a swarm of questions asked, and I am sure the answers may already be there for you.
I am waiting for the update and Froyo roms to come out before I bother with custom roms, but I am not holding my breath for that. I will probably be on my next Android phone before I will bother. Modding it up with Widgetlocker, ADW Launcher, and some other goodies at the moment to tide me over.
I had this same problem today. USB mass storage wasn't working, adb wasn't working. I wasn't using the samsung cable, but I can't see how that would make a difference, as the cable I was using has worked for literally a couple dozen different phones from different manufacturers - including other samsungs. I had the samsung drivers installed.
The owner claims that only media sync works on his computer as well, and that usb mass storage has never worked. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
i am also getting this problem. as far as i know i am still using the samsung cable, as normal micro-usb cables dont fit in the continuums port. ill look for another one, but this is quite odd. what i have done (all windows 7 64 bit):
drivers uninstalled
drivers installed
lagfix on
lag fix off
factory reset (within adrenalyne's rom)
i am going to try to transfer the stock rom via bluetooth and see if that works
edit: turns out that isnt possible without odi recognizing the device, which it doesnt (not even in download mode). this is very peculiar
some more information: nothing even shows up in device manager. no unknown devices, nothing. the phone charges, but thats it. i might go to the verizon store and see if i can get another cable
My guess is because you are using a 64 bit version of windows..

Why would that matter at all?
The 64bit version of Windows 7 is notorious for not being compatible with a lot of devices. There just arent any 64bit drivers. If you dont understand how to run your software in the proper compatibility mode you will run into problems. I used the x64 version of Win7 for about 12 seconds after I realized my ancient usb optical mouse didnt work lol.
My advice, try running the Samsung driver installer in compatibility mode and see if that doesnt help.

Compatibility mode won't do anything in the case of drivers. I'm not sure what your issue is though as all of my Samsung phones have been picked up fine from within Windows 7 x64. Is the phone picked up on any non-Windows 7 computer? Have you checked in Device Manager to see if it just needs installed?
its the cable. i took mine to the verizon store, they tested it, and gave me a new one for free. works perfectly now
Excellent, problem solved!
So it turns out a factory reset fixed it. Using a moto cable. So that's definitely not the issue. Flashing froyo now. Thanks!
I have encountered that a few times also. Its weird cuz when I plugged the usb into ac charger it almost immediately asks if I want to mount sd for data transfer. 20 mins later I unplug usb from unit and plugit into my win7 pc and nothin? So plugged back into ac unit and it recognize....so I mounted and it didn't know what to do lol. I then plugged back intopc...waited...changed orientation and 'Boom' pc sees it...in fact I change orientation whenever it seems to hang and seems to work....

I should also note that I have never used a samsung cable and every usb micro I've used (moto, kodak,BB,Lg) has fit and worked. But I have noticed some usb related quirks since froyo update like no lock screen after charging till I push home button, inaccurate batt icon (goes from 3/4 to 1/4 in like 10 mins but overall batt life is same as before)...
On an unrelated note I also can't get v6supercharger to work...?

Computers don't recognize XL2 to transfer files

I've tried multiple cables, multiple computers, multiple USB ports with no luck. With my original XL, it pops up file explorer and I have to swipe down from phone to select transfer files and can access them. Works with all the same cables, ports and computers I tried with the XL2.
I've also tried to use the included USB-C to USB-C to transfer between XL and XL2. I get the notification on my XL that it's connected to my XL2 and can access the XL2 files, but I can't access my XL files from my XL2. Doesn't even show it's connected. Tried all the pull down options on both phones with no luck.
What am I doing wrong? This should be the easiest thing to do and had been on every phone, but not this one. Please help!

Did you set the connection type to data transfer?

I had the same issue and with a little searching I figured it out.. Make sure the phone is set to "Transfer Files" in the notification window drop down and download the Google USB drivers zip and install the driver after unzip. Right click the driver file and select install.
Since this is a new account XDA won't let me link yet so Google search for : Get Google USB Drivers
I'm having a similar issue, and we're not alone. I'll copy what I posted on reddit.
Asus ROG Maximus Hero IX motherboard. Tried with multiple cables. Wifes OG Pixel detects it is plugged in right away, my 2XL has to be screen off and set down for a couple of minutes, then the phone recognizes it is plugged in and starts charging and is available for data transfer.
Seven minutes and twenty seconds before it started charging, and another twenty seconds before the computer recognized it as being attached and ready for data transfer. I'm going to do it a few more times to see if there is a pattern.
Edit: Second time was seven minutes for both, third was three fifty one for both, eleven thirty three on the fourth.
I'm not having this problem at all. Once file transfer is enabled on the Pixel I get a popup in Windows asking how to handle the connection to the Pixel 2 XL.
I is a different story with my Nexus 6P -- I can do adb commands but the Windows does not attempt to access the storage on the device.
-- update on Nexus 6P: if I toggle the setting to PTP mode the Nexus shows up in Windows Explorer. Then when I toggle back to MTP I can see the storage.
Using Windows seems to be the common problem when connecting Android Phones to a PC.

I don't get any connection option when I connect my XL2. It's like it's not even connected. My XL works perfectly fine with same cords and computers which throws me for a loop.
I'll give the shot about changing to other options and back to file transfer and see what happens.
I may need to wipe the phone and start over or maybe it's see sort of bug. Just kinda sucks, just need to make sure I can access the phone and one of the main reasons I got the 128gb version

I have encountered similar issues when using Windows, but my laptop dual boots between Windows/Fedora Linux. I only boot to Windows when I have to. Linux has no issues communicating to Android Phones. Maybe find a Linux Bootable DVD and give it a spin
When you look in the Windows device manager do you see an entry for LeMobile Android Device? This caused a problem for me in the past. See this post for a possible solution: https://www.reddit.com/r/Nexus6P/comments/5nc64z/adb_drivers_showing_up_as_lemobile_android_device/
A shortcut to the steps in the article is to simply expand the LeMobile Android Device node, right-mouse click on the Android Composite ADB Interface, click Change settings at the bottom of the General tab, go to the Driver tab, click Update Driver; Select Browse my computer for driver software; browse to the directory where Android Studio (or adb tools downloaded from https://developers.google.com/android/ota) files are located; make sure Include subfolders is check) and replace the LeMobile Android Device driver with the Google driver.
(If you have to do this, more than likely you will have to do it each time you reboot.)
I don't know if this will have any effect but on the pc, plug to the usb ports on the back that are direct to the motherboard instead of usb headers on the top/front of pc.
I have this issue with a TomTom satnav and a Mio miview dash cam. Unless they are plugged in on back pc / with Windows 10 doesn't recognize

That sounds easy enough, but it's dumb (to me anyways) I should even have to do this to get the computer to recognize my phone when it'll recognize my original XL and of course wife's S7. My phone gets plugged to the computer almost every day to copy files off of, at worst every other day.

I went to the device manager on 2 computers and surprisingly nothing showed up. It's like I'm not even plugging it in, while as soon as I plug in my original XL it pops right up. When I attempt to plug it in, it doesn't even attempt to install any drivers like it sometimes use to. I'm going to install the ADB tools when I get home today and see if that helps any to recognize it.
Just tried it on my work computer which does have ADB on it with no luck or anything in device manager
I literally went through all my USB-C cables I could find yesterday, probably 12-15 at least, and I DID manage to find one that worked..... a 6" cable, lol. I can't figure out why this one works and others don't, very more odd is it's the same brand as other longer cables that don't work. Not sure what to make of it, other than voltage loss with the longer ones....just enough to make it not work.
I do have a 2nd XL2 that should be due in this week, was suppose to ship on 22nd. I was going to return it, but now I'll have to take it out of the box and at least test if it works with the computer. I'll report back.
Open to any other suggestions if anyone has any. Thanks again for the replies!

Do you see anything in device manager under Android devices or portable devices under USB when the 2XL is connected to the PC?

Nothing at all, it's like it's not even connected. Just kind of dumbfounded on why when my XL never has had an issue. Attached a screenshot. The one with the triangle doesn't have anything to do with the phone though, it's always been like that and never bothered to mess with it.
The 2nd XL2 shipped yesterday and due in Thursday, so will be curious on if it has an issue. Hopefully it works as intended and I can just set it up and send this one back. Fingers are crossed for sure.
Are you updated to the latest ADB drivers? Right down to, you might have to remove and reinstall. I'm pretty sure I read that it's required.

If the Pixel 2 is plugged in your screenshot indicates that it is present on the USB bus. It's like the drivers aren't completely loaded.
I haven't seen it mentioned if you have turned on USB debugging in your phone's Developer options. I'm pretty sure that is required for the computer to see it.

I had it enabled for a while, but no such luck. I'll give it another shot, haven't had it on while at work. Also will uninstall and reinstall ADB as well.
When this has happened to me a few times, reinstalling the Windows MTP drivers has worked. Someone else posted these instructions that worked for me.
1. Go to C:\Windows\INF
2. Find the file "wpdmtp.inf"
3. Right click the file and click 'Install'
4. Once that is done, simply plug your phone and it should work.

Pixel 2 XL doesn't mount on computer any more.

I was hoping the December security patch would fix it but nope... Nothing
Any ideas?
Running Windy 10 pro. I've connected it to my laptop and my desktop same problem.

Do you still have the dongle that came with your pixel? If you use it to connect it to a USB flash drive, wait for it to show that it's connected, then plug your phone into the pc and it should work.
Worked for me twice.
most likely the pixel driver is acting funky. I imagine if you were to uninstall (the driver) and have it install again, it would be right as rain... Once you get to the Device Manager, it should be straightforward and easy.
I'm hoping you know how to do all of this already and can save me a step-by-step guide, but I'm very willing to if you need.....
I had this problem yesterday...
tried two pc with windows, one linux, three cables ... still error.
solution was dust in usb-c port. Clean it and phone can connect to pc again.
