Yes, you need to factory reset your device after flash 5.1.1 firmware from India.

Did not work for me... Still get no OTA after the procedure. I'm in Brazil . I'll factory reset right now.

my question its:
1.-to get the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on this post, do I need to install the 5.1.1 firmware from India - G928G .... because my cell its a SM-G928V and Android version 5.1.1 , so can I install the G928G on a G928V ?
2.-If you say... "yes, you need to install the firmware version from India" then, Its not problem with my phone? alls works fine after install this firmware ?
3.-If I can install this version 5.1.1 from India, its able to install the update , because Iam using the phone In Mexico, with a sim Mexican sim Card, and of course via "OTA" I cant install any update.....
4.-of course my language its Spanish, so I read I need to root the phone to install this language after update to Marshnmallow, what happen if I don't want to root the phone , the Spanish language its available after update to 6.01 ?
thanks for all, and I hope my bad English can understand here....

Same here. Doing the factory reset right now. Will post if OTA showing up after that.

Worked like a CHARM.... after factory reset, click on Update and OTA for Marshmallow showing up. When it's over, I will perform another factory reset and do the root for Spanish method. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Had big problems when installing TWRP recovery.
I downloaded and installed the india firmware and updated to MM through OTA. Everything went fine. After that i went ahead and installed TWRP. After reboot the phone went into a bootloop. Only thing that was working was the recovery. Since there is no odin flashable MM firmware for the G928G, i thought that i was stuck for a while. Since the recovery worked i went ahead and installed the Audax 1.3 rom. So Audax saved me. Hope this helps someone who might get into the same trouble as me. I also had to install the Skyhigh kernel for MM, since my phone never goes into deepsleep anymore on stock kernel. Does anyone know why this happens btw? I can't ever go back to stock again probably. That sucks when i decide to sell the phone.

Samsung has become more strict. Therefore when you root the phone gives problem. Most people and if I'm not mistaken everyone who root the edge+ have the same problem after rooting.

[Q] Converted F180K Korean to E975 Philippines

Hi. I successfully converted my LGOG F180K Korean phone to E975 Philippine ROM using KDZ updater. And I also rooted it with motochopper method. So everything's fine. But I want to flash a custom ROM, since I want to have a different UI and user experience. I am quite confused if I can now use Custom ROM's for the E975 or not, since I just converted my phone. And is there anyway to unlock it's bootloader and install any recovery mod? Thank you for all the feedbacks. Will appreciate it all.
Hi MitoTakatori,
can u please explain how u downloaded the Philippine KDZ, every link i click to download the KDZ just returns with forbidden access to me. what version u downloaded?
I also had the F180S and i easily installed the cyanogenmod on it is now E975 JB version 4.2.2 working great.
just need the KDZ for the Philippines for a friend of mine.
Thx in advance.

Yes that's what I am using now. Baseband is APQ064/MDM9x15M. Yes I do need a more detailed explanation on how you flashed it. I already tried FreeGee, but it says that device is not supported. Any luck?
Hey again MitoTakatori,
Is your phone rooted after u installed the Philippine rom? if not that is probably the reason freegee is not working. But can be done without also.
For Cyanogenmod install i used these steps.
1. Download latest version here download.cyanogenmod.org/?type=nightly&device=e975
2. Download GAPSS here: goo.im/gapps only if u want to use google apps and google play store, take the highest on the list.
3. Transfer both files to the root of your sdcard.
4. boot your phone into your recovery mode: (press vol- and vol+ and power button together) and then one time vol- and then again vol- and power button together.
5. In recovery mode select backup and make a backup of your current version.
6. Go back to main recovery menu and select install zip from sdcard: select the new cyanogenmod zip and install that.
7. go back to main recovery menu and select install zip from sdcard again: install GAPPS.zip
8. go back to main recovery menu again and select reboot.
Thats it.
Hope this helps u.

install the cyanogenmod first and see then if u can run the freegee and then u can choose the TWRP if thats what u want.

Is there a "native recovery mode" in LGOG? My ROM is rooted. It's just that when I use FreeGee, it says the device is not supported.
Yes there is one already installed and u boot the same way as i described before.
Strange the freegee doesn't recognize your device.

I'll try it a bit later. Yeah it's pretty weird. Maybe because I just converted it from F180K to E975? I did not know that LGOG has a native recovery mode. Thanks for that info! Does your CM ROM does not have any camera issues?
No m8 no issues at all, is working great.
Yes i guess that u are back on official rom maybe is the issue.

I guess so. When I was on F180K, FreeGee detected my phone then unlocked it. Problem is it got soft bricked. Then I used teenybin, flashed carbon rom, it is working good, except that the camera just shows the front one. And I can't switch it to the main one. Have you heard of that issue?
Ah ok that's not good, i have seen some topics here about that but not really investigated, coz my cam is working fine on the CM mod
Got to go, goodluck with your installing later.
take care

So, did you make it ?
I've Rooted my Samsung Galaxy Grand Plus GT-I9060I (single sim)
Baseband: I9060IXXY0ANL6
Kernel: 3.10.17-255453
build number: KTU84P.I9060IXXU0AOA8
used the boot.img from this thread
ran kingo root
problems are:
disables the rotation sensor (cant want videos sideways)
on boot root triangle is shown(haven't tried root triangle go away yet (but disappears when you flash stock rom)
cant update SuperSu binary (manually, automatically, Superuser version fails too)
We still need CWM if anyone could help me I've setup Ubuntu (dual boot) and already made a custom rom with root using android kitchen but cannot flash it as need Recovery (odin cant execute the on flash scripts that the android kitchen compiles with the roms)

Here's how I rooted mine with no issues so far.
MAKE SURE THAT IN DEVELOPER OPTIONS YOU HAVE OEM UNLOCK USB DEBUGGING ON BEFORE FLASHING TWRP.
Flashed
a - TWRP 3.0.0.1-M
b - boot back into recovery (TWRP) and flash BETA SuperSU v2.68
after you do this reboot your phone to make sure things are good.
I then went back to recovery and flashed the Xposed zip and boot back into phone and install Xposed APK.
if you have the time flash the no wipe tar and try my method, check your PM shortly going to send you a link to my drop box where i have all the files needed in one place.

[help] Hi im a noob trying to root my phone for the first time

The model of my phone is SM-N910V
android version 6.0.1
So I been reading a lot of the thread on the forum and saw that there were many ways to root the 5.1.1 version. Unfortunately I updated my phone to MM 6.0.1.
What is the process to root my phone?
Can I somehow load the 5.1.1 version? then unlock the bootlocker and root my phone?
any advise will be appreciated, thanks

Sigh.
Downgrade to 5.1.1 BPA using the full firmware using ODIN, then unlock your bootloader using any one of about six threads on this page.
There's only one way to unlock the bootloader and root. It's just been explained in a gadzillion different ways.

Might have to reboot into recovery mode.
Galaxy Note 4 Recovery Mode
Power Down Your Galaxy Note 4.
Press and Hold the Power Button, Home Button and Volume Up Button at the Same Time.
Continue Holding These Buttons Until You See Some Blue Text at the Top.
When You See the “Recovery Booting….” ...
Wait Until it Boots into the Recovery Mode.
Use volume to scroll power to select. I clear cache first probably redundant, then restore

Yup got it to factory reset and works fine now. Thank you. In the process of unlocking the bootlock
Hardest part is keeping temp root long enough to type/paste the ADB commands needed to change CID and then to unlock Bootloader.
Be prepared for a frustrating night with kingoroot, PC version works best.

Can you get into download mode (volume down, power, home key three finger salute)? Flash this firmware (thanks @hsbadr!) using ODIN, make sure that auto reboot is unchecked, and when it's done three finger salute into recovery and do a factory reset before you boot.
Then start the process from scratch.

Yes my phone is rooted and I deleted bloatware apps. I have AL10
the boot warning alert is normal, you Bootloader is unlocked.
you can restore your firmware in eRecovery, this works only with AL10 Version and is very easy.
Boot in eRecovery and Download your firmware and restore.
Reboot your Phone and when you see the Orange Font "Your device ist trustet.... press the Volume up for 3 sec. and it boot into eRecovery.
After installing the Firmware make the Phone automatic a Factory reset and you on Stockrom with root.
Another Variant is Install Huawei HiSuite and press system update,if no update is available you can go to the previous version, but you must have a installed Stockrecovery.
I have an Honor Note 8 AL10 and this works fine.
But first try the eRecovery
