Test out the TouchOne keyboard with Whatsapp and Hangout with 3rd party support - Huawei Watch

Dear XDA users
We would like to thank all of our users who have tested our Keyboard and provided us with valuable feedback. Without your support, we couldn't have made the TouchOne keyboard the best keyboard solution for smartwatches.
The TouchOne team has successfully secured more 3rd party partnerships, as we are providing a keyboard solution for them. This allows users to respond to messages using our TouchOne keyboard.
The following top rated apps will support TouchOne Keyboard:
• Web Browser for Android Wear: The Android Wear Internet Browser
• Gmail client for Android Wear: Reply to your emails from your Android wear
• Video/YouTube for Android Wear: Video player for smartwatches, powered by YouTube
• Photo Gallery for Android Wear: View your photos on your smartwatch
• Messages for Android Wear: Use this messenger for SMS, Hangouts, WhatsApp or Facebook conversations on your Android Wear smartwatch
• Documents for Android Wear: View PDFs and other documents from your phone or Google Drive on your smartwatch
• Calendar for Android Wear: Complete calendar app for your Android Wear
• Wear Messenger: SMS texting app
• Quick for Wear: Messaging for WhatsApp, Hangouts, Gmail, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Threema, and Viber
You can use the TouchOne keyboard to reply to Whatsapp, Hangout, and Gmail notifications with 3rd party Apps support. To try this out on your smartwatch, please join our test program of the TouchOne keyboard.
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/net.infiniti.touchone.touchone
Our vision with the TouchOne keyboard is to be widely used across the Android wear platform and we are working hard to achieve this.
We will be continuing to look for more partnerships and if you have an idea for a partnership, please send us an email to [email protected]
Please stay tuned for more upcoming updates as we are happy to announce that the TouchOne Keyboard will be officially released in two weeks time on the Google Play Store.....

Thank you testing it now

can you add german language support for auto correct?

German would be great!
How can i go back a letter?

Said I am a tester, the link to the APK did not work at first.
Trying it now.

Any manual,
I want to type something.
Say.....
This is a great App? :good:
Not sure how to do this,
I go to the wedge that has a "t", now if the word list shows "This" I select it ? Not sure how to pick the word.
If "this" is not detected, enter a "h"
Seems like all words testing it come out capitalized first letter, want one the first word capitalized.
Sure playing I will figure it out but a manual be nice.

I agree. I'm also trying to figure out how to get they keyboard active within the apps, Hangouts in particular. I can get the practice mode up, but that's it.

+1 this is important for my Hangouts & others! Could it be enabled as the default IME?

If you read the OP, native apps do not have keyboard support. You have to use a 3rd party app that supports the input IME. The Apps are listed in the OP to substitute for Hangouts and GMail.

You have to use the 3rd party apps as substitutes to get Keyboard IME support. The apps to use are in the OP

Thanks, I didn't find that to be very clear. I've uninstalled it as it actually killed my battery.

App Recommendation (Push Contacts)

Hi guys. Sorry if my English is not good. I would like to recommend an app I came across.
Basically it's an app that can allow you send SMS to any contact on your Android phone's Google Contacts via your Chrome browser. There's even an extension for chrome to do that.
Meanwhile, that's not the only thing it can do. You can receive SMS via Google Talk and reply the SMS to the last person who sent you the message. The app requires Android 2.2 and above as it makes use of Google's C2DM.
I'm sorry, I do not have enough posts to attach links here. But do search for (Push Contacts) on the Android Market and give it a try. It's only 81kB in size!
For your reference, the developer's name is Ngo Minh Nam.
enjoy!
Thanks. Very Nice.

Using Google Now to send Whatsapp chats?

Hello,
If you say "text mom where are you" it will correctly send an sms to the contact. Is there any way to make it send a whatsapp msg to the contact instead of an sms?
thanks
It would have to be coded into the WhatsApp messenger Since Google doesn't own WhatsApp, then I don't think there is a way as of now.
I'm not familiar with that application, but until Google opens the API for Google Now, it will continue to send through the default SMS application.
Hope this helps!
Unfortunately, Google said at I/O that they don't have any plans to add an API for 3rd party access to Google Now.

This is no longer true. As of Wunderlist's latest update (a third-party to-do app), users now have the option of saving notes to Google Keep OR Wunderlist's through Google Now/Search provided they are installed.

Best Sony Smartwatch2 [SW2] Apps&Games

NOTE: This thread isn't updated by me anymore as I had to sell my SmartWatch 2. Check the latest replies to the thread for new apps, though. Keep 'em coming!
Good day fellow XDAians!
I recently bought my very own Smartwatch 2 and I had no idea where to start looking for applications. The built-in search function of Sony's Smartwatch2 app redirects to the Play Store with a certain search query but it not always shows all apps that belong to the category you've selected. So I decided to make a thread dedicated for only the best Apps&Games for the Sony Smartwatch 2!
If you know a great app or game, please let me know. I'll try to include most useful apps in this post. For each category, the free apps and games are listed before the paid ones. Let's get started.
First off, the application that is required for the SW2 to connect with your phone:
> SmartWatch 2 SW2 by Sony Mobile Communications
Secondly, with the new firmware where we can change wallpapers and create our own watchface, Sony decided to add an Easter Egg to the calculator. Have you ever wondered what 1035 equals?
> 1035 = Free Snake Game
(in case it wasn't clear yet, if you type "1035" in the calculator on your smartwatch and then press "=", you'll find the new game on your SmartWatch)
Notifications
> WatchIt! by Jonas Petersson
[free]
Will pick up notifications from the phone and display them in various ways.
> Watchify (Beta) SW2 Extension by A. Sagrebin
[free] [XDA thread]
Allows tons of notifications to pop up on your smartwatch, with Whatsapp, Email, Gmail and Hangouts currently supported to show 'extended notifications' so they'll show the entire message. It also allows setting options for these notifications such as not vibrating at night.
> Calendar smart extension by Sony Mobile Communications
[free]
Shows each upcoming calendar item with location and tapping an item shows more details.
> Quick Reply for SmartWatch 2 by IngeniousApps
[rooted] [€2,41] [XDA thread]
Lets you actually write replies to whatsapp messages as well as view incoming ones on the smartwatch.
> Tasker - Smart Notifier by Shouvik Basu
[free] [donate app at €1,21] [requires Tasker at €2,99]
Send notifications and choose actions accordingly on your SmartWatch via Tasker!
Control apps
> Tasker - Smart Extensions by Shouvik Basu
[free] [donate app at €1,21] [requires Tasker at €2,99]
Ever wanted to decide yourself what to control with your SmartWatch but don't have enough programming knowledge to make your own apps? With this Tasker extension you can!
> Media Control Extension by Lex
[free]
A beautiful app with large, comfortable buttons to control your smartphone's volume, play, pause, skip and for-/backward music; takes little time to load as opposed to Sony's media control application.
> Camera Smart Extension by Sony Mobile Communications
[free]
Turns your smartwatch into a remote smartphone camera trigger. Don't expect the live view to be smooth however.
Games
> 2048 for Smartwatch by Jonathan B.
[free]
Can't get enough of this game on your phone or in the browser? Why not have it on your smartwatch for free!
> BlackJack Extension by Tesseract Mobile
[free] [features ads on phone when replenishing bank money]
"When I'm getting a Smartwatch, I'll get one with BlackJack and Hoo... wait, let's just keep it at BlackJack."
Smartphone apps with added support for the Smartwatch 2
> Light Flow by Reactle
[€1,75] [lite version: free]
Has the option to push all sorts of device notifications to the Smartwatch, but not the extended ones. Therefore you won't get full messages, only short text (pretty handy still if you had already bought this app).
> SmartVanilla Music by Alexander Watt
[free]
Extension to control music through the application
Other
> RSS for Smart Extras™ by Sony Mobile Communications
[free]
Read your RSS feeds on your SmartWatch!
> Tiny Tasks by Lex
[€0,72]
Syncs with Google Tasks so that you can view and mark tasks as complete on your watch.
> Slideshow smart extension by Sony Mobile Communications
[free]
Makes it possible to view images from your phone on your wrist.
> Remote Widget for SmartWatch2 by NeFa Studio
[€1,13] [working ideas]
Put any SmartPhone widget on your SmartWatch!
Do you have anything to add? Please let me know by posting it including a link below!
This list is constantly updating, so keep an eye out!

That definitely looks like an interesting app!
Now I just wish I had a way to pay for it *come on Google, introduce me to your Play Gift cards here as well*
I will however included it in my list, as it seems original enough. Does it let users accurately reply whatsapp messages to incoming ones, and does it work in group chats as well? I just wish there was a way to have full whatsapp on your wrist, including all contacts and previous messages.
Does it actually show your message after replying in a 'conversation kind of way', including previous messages? If not, could that be an improvement to save previous messages as well?
Ha! Great thought..
It does accurately reply to whatsapp individuals and groups and sms as well..
I am working on full whatsapp conversations.. But even if I succeed in it.. I ll be a standalone app with no notifications stuff.. Because SW2 api limitations have binded me to cut short a few things...
Love your collection btw.. Keep it up! Cheers mate!

both will work, difference only is that limited apps to use in lite version
I just found a great widget for the Remote Widget SmartWatch extension.
Try putting Sony's TrackID widget on the watch. Clicking it will result in a music search even with the phone's display off!
It's a perfect example of what this app is capable of!
*More ideas may follow in this post*
If you have any other perfect examples, be sure to share them here so I can include them in the list
okay, in the light flow app, the notification is only showing amount of unread notifications, like in gmail, it shows 1 unread, total 1, instead of showing context

I have yet to try it still, but it looks very promising!

If anyone knows some more free games, or very good (non laggy) paid ones, I'd love to put more of those on my list

That game is basically the only game that does not lag, I'm guessing because it's the only one where the smartwatch itself does the calculations?

I haven't tried it yet. Does it work well?
The idea of my post is not to put random apps in there, but apps that are actually one of the better (the app has 3 one star ratings and 3 two star ones, which makes me wonder...).
It looks to work well though, when I read the description. I might update my post with this game :cyclops:
EDIT: on your snake game: I tried it and it was laggy. Laggy in a way that it wasn't playable to me. The "calculator easter egg snake" is much better so I won't put that snake game in the post.
No problem, haven't tried the sudoku or the blocks game yet.. Someone else might have though..

Well, I would guess it's because whatsapp and the sms apps use "pre-canned" replies. In other words, I think you can only send one of several pre-determined responses, and not type a message like you would using the phone based apps.
Awesome, didn't even know about this keyboard. Now I want to put the Google Keyboard on with the material theme, and as for messaging you should try Wear Messenger. Its a paid app but I think its well worth it right now, I can reply to texts, read conversations.
Well i saw a guy testing microsoft's keyboard and he actually made it work he replied to hangout's messege i tried too but i didn't made it so microsoft in her app discription says that i have to invoke the keyboard and i dont know how

Xiaomi devices allow only the default SMS app to access the SMS. Can you go to the Settings and change it (i.e., change the setting so it will not block other apps from accessing the SMS)? how would you suggest I do this as I have it ALREADY set to Handcent!

Hi Lohtse,
Thank you very much for the information!
> how would you suggest I do this as I have it ALREADY set to Handcent!
If there is any option in the settings to block apps from accessing SMS, please toggle it to allow Drextee to access the SMS.
Otherwise, you can set Drextee Messenger as the default SMS app and open it on your watch
a few times to see if it crashes. Then, on your phone you can set the default SMS app back to Handcent.
Another test that you can do is the following,
send an email or Google Hangout to yourself. When you see the Drextee notification on your watch, open it and reply to it.
This will open Drextee Messenger on your watch. Please let us know if it crashes or not.
At this point, our best guess is that Drextee can't access the SMS inbox on your phone.
Once again thank you very much and sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi Lohtse,
Do you mean it works after rebooting your phone or your watch?
We had a lengthy discussion about this issue today. It is possible that your phone OS kills the service which was started by Drextee. When you open Drextee on your watch, it tries to restart the service on your phone, but somehow it fails. Can you kindly do the following experiment and tell us what happens?
- Before opening the app on your watch, tap on the Drextee icon on your phone to open it. Then, open the app on your watch and see if it crashes.
Once again sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi Sapiora,
We do support Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but the app cannot be downloaded from Bulgaria. The reason is that we don't support Bulgarian alphabet at the moment, hence the restriction. Sorry for the inconvenience and sorry that Google Play Store error message is not clear. I will contact you once when we add support for Bulgarian alphabet.

We have been trying to roost cause the bug, but no luck so far. We have released a new version. Please let us know if by any chance it fixes your problem.
We apologize for the inconvenience!

ok installed and testing but FC'd soon as I did a reboot of phone and fc'd 6 times before it would let me open app on phone!
Well this the latest version is a little useless... been installed over 15 hours and never shown a text when its arrived nor does the inbox display ANYTHING either.. It is BLANK and refreshing does nothing!
Have uninstalled and reinstalled and same issues as mention in this and last post.. Partner now has SAME issues and hers was working fine before(as stated earlier)
