Find 7a won't boot after accidentally unmounting storage - Oppo Find 7 and 7a

Hi,
Today I wanted to unify my storage and at the same time update to nameless rom, this went wrong. When trying to install ColorOS 1.2, this error came up: "E: error executing updater binary in zip". I looked the error up on the internet and I needed to update to a new TWRP. I thought I needed the newest (TWRP 3.0), so in the TWRP app I used the Oppo Find 7 instead of 7a. After installing ColorOS, the log said that it couldn't mount the 'internal_sd' and 'storage'. After installing the LVM, I tried to reboot, which didn't work. The screen turns on, but in a very dark grey near black.
I can't get the phone into fastboot, I managed to install the drivers for a different TWRP but it won't go into fastboot mode. Flashboot doesn't work either. Can anybody help me.
Thanks in advance,
miredom

[Q] Soft-Bricked phone, would like to restore to Stock OS

I was having some problems connecting to my mobile network, I couldn't access Google Play Store, I couldn't read Chinese well enough to figure out how to download and install new apps from China's playstore, so I decided to flash a custom OS on my P6 to play around with.
These are the steps I've taken and where it's led me to now -
Installed TWRP on my phone
Installed ADB and Fastboot onto my computer
Turned on Developer Mode and enabled USB debugging
Copied new OS Zip into my memory card
Restarted phone into TWRP recovery
Followed instructions to wipe dalvik, cache, data, and system (I'll try to find the link after this post)
Attempted to install the new OS (Failed due to incompatibility, stupid me)
Tried Sideloading an official Huawei released OS from their website (Failed to recognize my device on adb)
Tried Rebooting my device into Bootloader and attempted to load a Zip to force update my phone (and displayed "e:failed to mount /cache")
Flipped through xda and thought I needed Stock Recovery to load an official OS, so I fastboot flashed it in
Rebooted my phone into Recovery, saw "wipe data/factory reset", so I attempted that (displayed "E:failed to mount /data (invalid argument)
So... I'm stuck here, not sure what to do next because I think I'm just breaking my phone more than I'm trying to make it work... Can anyone help me out here? ._."

By the steps you've taken i can tell you are on stock recovery at this moment and with no system installed on phone, so i would suggest you downloading an official stock rom (update.app file) and put it in dload folder in a SD card and try to install. Now one thing that you should be aware before attempting this is to make sure you have the same version of OS as the one before, either JB or KK. Good luck.

[Q] HELP! GPE lollipop OTA Update Error, no apps loading after that

Hello All,
I have GPE version of GPad running Kitkat 4.4 Stock ROM. Last month I have used following link to enable chromecast mirroring. Due to the issues i have uninstalled superuser app and did factory reset. After that all well! I mean no issues with tablet.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/har...experimental-enable-mirroring-device-t2812193
Yesterday I tried to sideload the GPE lollipop update but prompted with following error.
"/system/etc/audio_policy.conf" has unexpected contents.
E:Error in /tmp/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
This morning I saw system update notification for Lollipop upgrade and opted to install it, but without any further msg during the system update it prompted with "Error!" After that I did factory reset. When it reboots starts optimizing 48 apps, but it prompts with following sequence of messages:
"Unfortunately sun beam has stopped. "
None of the apps loaded , no access to setting, just empty screen and on screen buttons at the bottom.
I spent quite some time looking around in xda to restore back to factory, none seems to work.
1. Tried flashing original stock .tot file, getting "Download user image is only available in the online environment!!
2. adb sideload, "/system/etc/audio_policy.conf" has unexpected contents
3. To Flash TWRP i am not getting access to setting to enable USB debugging.
Now i cant even put the G Pad in adb as i dont have access to settings to put in USB debug mode. vol down+power puts into bootloader, but cant access to adb commands.
Now I can only access to recovery and do sideload. but i am stuck with "/system/etc/audio_policy.conf" has unexpected contents error. Can someone share kitkat original version of audio_policy.conf? also how i can replace the exiting file as i dont have access to adb?
Greatly appreciate your help to bring back the G Pad.
regards
Raj
You can boot twrp from fastboot and flash either 4.4.4 or 5.0 back onto your tablet. Look at the thread in Android development for more details on flashing the stock images using twrp
Thanks! I was able to get back to kitkat with following method. I was able to flash recovery its now back to complete stock kitkat now.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...510-gpe-4-4-4-ktu84p-l002-stock-twrp-t2797883
After this I got system update notification to lollipop. Again got "Error!" msg during the install process.
I tried adb side load, got following error!
failed to verify whole-file signature
signature verification failed
installation aborted.
Any thought whats going wrong there?

E980 Cant access download mode, cant flash please help.

Ok so I got my E980 rooted via towelroot, then used the freegee app to install loki, then I used flashify to install the CM recovery listed below, planning to flash the matching cyanogenmod rom:
snapshot Download: cm-12.1-20151007-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO332-e980.zip (243.15 MB)
sha1: 9a4773d2fca0658edb2683079ce96307863a9fd0 Download: cm-12.1-20151007-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO332-e980-recovery.img
sha1: 1095ea774ff2347fb3a2884045aa4a47e6833893 2015-10-07 02:08:36
I rebooted into the recovery and it wouldn't flash the cyanogenmod 12.1 rom at first, saying that I had an incompatible system installed, so I did a factory reset and then tried again and it installed the CM 12.1 ROM without errors, however it wont boot into it. All I can access is the CyanogenMod recovery and the factory wipe screen, I cant seem to boot into a rom even when it installs without errors, I cant get into download mode no matter what combo of keys/plugging in I do, even though it worked fine before.
Any thoughts or Ideas? I am totally lost here.
When turn on the phone it says:
Secure booting Error! Cause : Device Unlock!, so Boot Success!!
When I try to flash the TWRP zip that is floating around (2.8.1 I think) it says:
Finding update package.....
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:Footer is wrong
E:Signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
When I turn on ADB mode through CyanogenMod recovery
Adb devices: Lists the device (99d3b89c sideload)
Adb usb: Error : closed
I have tried CyanogenMod 10.2.0, 11-20141115, and 12.1-20151007, and tried them before and after every kind of wipe available through this recovery, and they all install without error then reboot back to the recovery.
Is there another flashable recovery around for this phone I could try? I just don't see many in zip format.
Finally got it working. Threw every flashable recovery I could find at it, finally got Phillz touch to install and work from the CyanogenMod recovery. Phillz wouldnt install a working rom, but Phillz did allow me to flash CWM 6 something, which allowed me to install 2.8.1 TWRP, which couldnt see my microSD card, but it did allow me to copy 12.1 CM to my internal SD card from my computer via USB and to flash it and have it actually work. After I booted into CM 12.1 I had to fight gapps for a while, the open gapps pico and nano for 5.1 arm didnt work, but I got the Gapps from the slim rom to work after rewiping the system to remove the open gapps.
After that I finally manager to get flashify, supersu, and busybox from the store. Used flashify to upgrade to 3.0 TWRP. I still cant get into download mode, but pretty much everything else is working now.

Desperate: Good condition daily driver stuck on Color Recovery 1.0 + Oppo logo

Hi guys,
Since 2 days I ****'d up my phone. I have been totally disconnected since then.
Trying to fix this situation ASAP.
I wanted to update from OmniROM Android 6.0 to 7.1.2.
I had unified storage or LVM, i don't know which, 1 single internal SD.
Wiping too much stuff in TWRP was the start of my problems is my guess.
Result: no internal memory visible (0mb)
After some time I fixed that. I went through the whole lot: brick phase, bootloop, etc.
I even poked out the power button and disassembled the phone thinking the power button was broke!
Then with a combination of the unbrick tool and others I am now in the following situation:
I can get into fastboot mode, but no ROM is installed, when flashing TWRP 3.1.1 I get a black screen when booting into recovery.
When flashing stock omni recovery 1.0 this works, but I can't do anything. (Installation failed)
So how do I go on from here?
I'm suspecting the unified storage/lvm is the culprit, keeping me from being able to install stock coloros 2.1.5i or others.
A lot of useful information from the old Oppo forums is gone..
Thank god for XDA! :good:
Any help to restore my daily driver would be greatly appreciated!
I've been roaming the forums for multiple hours and days at this point, flashing everything that has .img or .zip I can find... :silly:
*** Update: Using recovery 4.4, I now have stock oppo recovery v1.2.
When I try to merge/unmerge the partition, I get stuck in "Wiping, please wait" for more than 45 minutes, so I quit.
The status tells me: non-unified partition. So I don't know the current state of my Internal memory...
Still installing OMNI or coloros roms doesn't work..
Now, pushing files to the device gives me: no permission.
You need an SD card for this:
Get into TWRP using the recovery installer for find 7 (via fastboot) than flash the setup LVM zip after that use the recovery installer again to flash the color os recovery then flash project spectrum 1.3 for Oppo find 7/7a then everything should be repaired
This is the LVM zip:

Edit: I'll send you a personal message with a Google drive Link for project spectrum if you want

LG F400S/K Kitkat unable to install TWRP recovery / unable to install Gapps (solved)

Now the phone is unable to boot to system, I have no idea what I could do to fix it as there is no way to use adb or fastboot command…
I remember that the stock rom version is S11a, it have some problems when I tried to root it, and failed to flash recovery even I've got the root permission (response "write error: no space left")
------↑solved by using LG flashtool↑------
Now I am facing the problem that unable to install TWRP recovery using dd, it responds “ write error: No space left on device” I’ve reinstall the LG drivers, reboot the phone, reboot the computer, unroot and root again, but the problem still occurs.
----- update ------
solved by using flashify, and TWRP version 3.3.1 instead of latest 3.6.1, so that it won’t have “secure boot error” warning, and boot to recovery successfully.
But there is a new problem now, when I tried to sideload MindTheGapps after installed LOS 18.1 successfully, it warns me “could not mount /mnt/system! Aborting”. This is the third phone that having this warning for me, and I still couldn’t figure out which step goes wrong.
Nothing goes wrong after flashed to lineage recovery, installed MindTheGapps now.
--update--
I also tried to flash lineage recovery from TWRP on my D855, it also works, I installed MindTheGapps and everything works fine. So this is the problem of TWRP? Or reinstall the recovery is the solution? Maybe I would have a test later.
