Don't worry. Have you completely deleted your camera app? How? If yes, search for any camera app on play store. Are you on stock or on a custom rom?
You can probably download the original htc camera app from play store.

Unfortunately, Instagram has stopped....that is the message when i try to make pics with instagram but only with flash...the app closses...

Happened to me when i deleted the camera sound files in root explorer manually. Reflashed rom and had no such problems.
Also it seems that clearing davilk cache caused that before.
If u never deleted any camera sound files or the camera cache then reinstall instragram. It should be fine

I had this problem too the other time but now it is running fine. But I was on a custom ROM then.
Try fixing permission on CWM?

How about you clear instagram data in Settings-> Apps-> Instagram-> Clear data. Make sure app is close before you perform this. Afterwards, open the app and see if problem still exist.

This is a common problem many people are facing in apps like Google Play Store, Instagram, Whatsapp, Snapchat etc. And one common solution I've for all these apps is just uninstalling that app and re-install it.
My camera app is gone, as in I can't use it anymore. Is there a way to install it?

Try factory reseting the phone. Maybe it would help! Btw, how did it get deleted?
Maybe u can try some third party apps to take the pictures.

I have attached the 4.2 camera app, try it you might like it, works well on my XS..
I have installed CameraMX, and Camera ICS on my Shpongle. I am wondering why these 3rd party apps work directly, but not the stock app?
I would appreciate some in depth answers, if possible.

i think he's referring to the stock AOSP camera
Video recording works with stock camera
Since 3rd party camera app Vignette can switch over to camcorder by using the stock one I was able to record video with the standard camera app. So I added a shortcut to my home screen with Camcorder Shortcut by Bryan Owens (no permissions needed!) and the stock camera app will record 720p video. \o/
Not sure if it's something I disabled or froze with android tuner (nothing that I can find that would have to do with photos or camera) but I cannot find the edit function in any menu from gallery or the camera app.
Can anyone tell me where it is or what it's called to see if I have it disabled by accident?

That's correct, more technically google plus needs to be installed. Hopefully google week separate the two apps soon as the rumors have suggested

The default HTC gallery app disappeared and I'd like to get it back. I'm running viperone m8 2.3.0 and it disappeared after dirty flashing the ROM in order to remove a custom theme I had.
Can anyone please upload it or let me know how to get it? I tried installing it from the Play Store but it didn't work.

Not sure if those will work or not but worth a try though.
have you tried restarting? i also have this problem, but it comes back after a reboot and then disappears after a few hours. i just use googles Photos app instead.

Thank you for your reply but I checked the thread and the Gallery app doesn't actually work.. it just opens but doesn't load pictures.

You cannot download it from the play store? HTC has published it as a standalone app.
