OK. Im new to XDA and i have read alot of articles trying to fix my screwup. Hopefully someone can help. I was once rooted and i had redemption rom on and i tried to install cm30 nightly and got stuck somewhere and started to try to do wipe and clean amopngst other things and almost bricked it totally.The main thing that happens is when i press power i get 5 vibrate beeps and a blinking green light. i can go to hboot by pressing power and down but i cant go into recovery. Among other things i can plug usb and shows hboot usb but computer only shows android boot loader under device manager.
Now here's where it gets even weirder. I tried to install the pb113img.zip. when i did everything said ok while installing and when i got the choice to reboot it went to a green recycle looking thing then it went to a blank screen and 3 beeps with green blinking light.
I went into fastboot and hit reboot and it did boot into the stock 2.2 rom but if i disconnect a usb cord or when plugged into the wall the phone dies and goes to the blank screen with 5 beeps and blinking lights.
while in hboot the recovery choice is not working and neither is factory reset.
I hit fastboot the choice for bootloader takes me back to hboot.
Now while the usb plug is in the hboot says hboot usb but when i did get it to boot and plugged the usb in it doesnt show on my computer it does however show android bootloader interface on my device manager. Also the sdcard will not read on the phone but the sd card will read in a sdcard adpater where i can transfer files.
I have 2 sdcards and a sd adapter and htc usb cable and htc outlet charger and 2 batterys.
Here are my stats:
S-On
H-boot 0.92
touch panel-ATMEL224_16
radio- 2.15.00.07.28
Please somebody help me i been trying different methods but running into circles here.
If your S is on and it looks like it is and your running the stock 2.2 bring it in to the store and they will warranty it for you.
I did think about that because stock rom looks to be on and s-on as well just wondering if they could be able to tell through h-boot
Unfortunately this is a hardware error code, and you'll probably have to get it replaced.. My Inc came out of the box doing this (had it shipped to me), and the only option I had was to take it right back to the store.
I was able to boot mine normally if it was plugged into the computer at the time, so you might want to try that and see if you can at least verify the installed firmware. Otherwise, a warranty exchange is your only choice.
My incredible started doing the same, it all hapened when i mounted sd in recovery mode and then i was playing with diag mode to flash it. Since then its doing the vibrate and green light thing. Also I rooted it and my s is on. Also I can use the phone if i plug in the usb while turning on and then quickly take it out. Only problem is the phone doesn't detects the internal or external storage. I even got phone to be detected by unrevoked, but it is stuck as pushing recovery since phone doesn't detects the storage. BTW I already tried the Official PB31IMG zip.
Please any help is greatly appreciated.
Same issue flashing CM7 RC2. Could not fix it, Verizon is replacing it.

It is probably a USB brick
I had the same problem with my HTC Legend a few days ago, it turns out to be a USB brick, which means something had corrupted the misc partition. The fix is simple, just flash a good misc image back to that partition and everything is back to normal, there are tons of USB unbrik TUTs out there.

Hello everybody , to all mates who bricked their phones by upgrading or using custom roms
I had soft brick my phone 3 times before and i read all soft brick methods here in our lovely forum, if u can my steps you will recover your phone 100%.
Note: remove your sd card and put it in PC and upload a custom rom in it, then bring it back to phone.
Lets go
1-]first of all these for unlocked boot loader.
2- after your phone die, connect to wall charger, at first will be no response (no red led) its OK don't be afraid.
3- charge it till red led on (it may takes many hours first time it need from me 22 hours, but usually need 10-15 hours).
4- now boot loops will start , its OK you are almost done believe me, prepare flash-tool in PC but do not select any thing.
5- while phone boot loop connect phone to your PC and do soft reset, ie hold power bottom and up volume bottom your phone will vibrate once now let power bottom and keep pushing up volume bottom (the phone is connected to PC as we said), blue led will appear which mean you are in fast-boot mode.
6- in flash tool select fast boot mode, a dialogue will appear select now (Select kernel To Flash), a window will appear choose from it JB_211_Kernel_twrp2.5.elf kernel or any CWM support kernel and flash it.
7- you will see the dialogue of flashing which till you that flashing is OK..
8 - now select reboot system from flash tool, your phone will restart.
9- enter recovery and select wipe all (advanced) system, data, cash and davlik cash, only leave internal memory and sd card
10- now select back and choose install and select any custom rom you have put in sd card and install it, after that select reboot system and you will go :laugh: its working believe me the phone will boot.
11- if you want to flash it with stock rom, after you boot recovery select power option and select power off (do not choose reboot) your phone will turn off, now prepare flash tool in PC and select your stock rom, wait till a pop up message appear to connect phone, connect your phone in flash mode ( volume down key and connect phone to PC) and flash stock rom .
Guys it really works do not ever give up try and try and you will recover your phone.
Please guys any one try this tell me the result I will help as I can.

TBH.. i had ignored this method for two days... and now i had to say oh yes i should do this before rather than waisting 2 days :laugh: :good: :victory:

this time, when i flashed kernel with twrp... it is success.. i did wipe all things you said but after flashing, it was success too but on reboot it shows only sony logo then Exclamation mark in triangle phone beneath it.....
plz help me i this case.. my phone is just a year old..

unkown application on
i installed a software root switcher then choose the font then
software asked for reboot i pressed yes then it goes off
then sony loop is going on
so i hold the power off button + volume up for 3 vibration
after that my phone never goes on for 24 hour then i charged it then tried to installed kernel in fastboot mode i can see the new kernal when i start my phone but after writing sony it get freez
now my phone condition is when i charge it after some time in screen flash sony then get freez
i can do it soft reset 1 vibration but no hard reset 3 vibration
i dont have recovery and its custom jelly bean
and not getting into fastboot mode onlt flash mode for a while but without debug no success
so any one can help me

well i did one thing in flash mood i reinstalled software lot of time because fast boot was not working
and after connecting to flash tool i hold the power button + volume up button then a window popup in flashtool to select ur phone then i click to my phone name and log say mobile doesnt reconize this action then i left my phone for some time connected my phone just turned on that means
i installed my software without debug in flash mood then in flashmood i softboot it holding power button + volume up and left it for some time connected in pc that was enough
so i fill lucky

I need help here. I'm running (or was running) Euphoria ROM on a Verizon LG G3 with TWRP installed. Without changing/flashing/installing anything new for the past several weeks my phone just shut off yesterday. When I try to power on normal the LG screen comes on then after a few seconds turns off and won't turn back on without a battery pull. Next, if I try to boot into recovery (power + volume down then release and hold volume down + power) and it boots into a "Modified Recovery" that looks like stock LG software but has more options than just factory reset (normal boot / factory reset / wipe cache / safe mode etc). When I try any of these options it reboots, shows the LG boot screen then shuts off and won't restart without a battery pull. I can enter download mode by holding up and inserting the USB while connected to my PC.
Questions:
1) Is it possible restore my phone without losing files/photos?
2) Can I transfer my files to my computer or external SD card before reflashing to stock?
3) What is the easiest method to do any or all of this? LG G3 toolkit? ADB (which I will have to research to do)?
I apologize if there is an obvious place that has this and I missed it. Any links or answers are greatly appreciated!
Is it possible that this is a battery problem not a "brick"? Does the phone boot while charging? My phone had similar problems and the problem was the battery that was faulty.

I originally thought it was my anker battery but I tried with the LG stock battery and it's the same issue. The phone will boot when plugged into a power supply (wall charger or PC) but it just shows the LG screen and turns off and won't reboot.
Anyone? I really want to keep some of the pictures on the internal memory. All I've found is how to factory reset the phone which would delete them but I'd like to find a way to transfer them before I do this. THanks.
U said modified recevery cwm or twrp if thats the case download a random rom place it on your sd card and try to dirty flash a new rom or a otg cable and flash drive

Try using linux os such as ubuntu it might mount all the drives or partitions up to where u can save them that way i dont know if theres a way through adb i was never really that good in the adb field

It won't boot into TWRP. It just boot loops the LG startup screen. When i get into normal recovery and select factory reset it doesn't go into TWRP it just reboots, shows, LG screen then shuts off and I have to battery pull to get it to boot again.
If u have a ready linux setup not all people do but it helps sometime i know when i hard bricked it was the only was to save some data for me

1. Yes it is possible just don't click CSE flash in LG Tool
2. No impossible because you can't acces them

Brought me Phone with broken glass Lenovo p1, p1a42, Euro version think. I do not know what they doing with the phone, think it was OTA update issue....
I found many problems in this phone, when it is ON the display works, touch too, but I got Message:Encryption Unsuccessful ... reset does not work, I try in stock recovery remove the wipe,data, there is no success. After that another mode (vol-, power) there again did wipe, nothing again. Phone power on and again got Message: Encryption Unsuccessful ... I know with an Closed-eyes what to do with p780, but P1 is new to me.
Trying to install the new firmware from sdcard as changing his name as Update.zip firmware, but no success ... got error message, I think he did not see the sd card, only internal, But I do not see it too ...cannot put on it update.zip
Another problem is that the PC does not see the phone ... I have 3 pc, 2 win7x64, and 1 xp on it, no one saw the phone, and there is no sound for the new device. I have all the drivers for Qualcom, but the device does not respond. Device manager don't show me phone or new port. So i got power up from Pc or charger, but nothing else. Also try a different Usb cable ,the driver I used is the second one mentioned.

Hi, merry Christmas jAww, just 2 answers... I know how to update drivers and reinstall android roms... For now, nothing helped. No luck with many cable, pc, drivers. No luck with 15 sec vol + , Nothing with Test mode in Windows 7 , phone is not recognize, just when i plug in, got vibration and battery stats % charges.
Trying some update.zip from stock recovery , nothing... fail at 24% or best was 49% and loop at this percents. Why i cant go further? Some is blocked or ... ?
When i go to recovery VOL - there is SD UPDATE, but when i try from there to update, got this message "dev: external sdcard data encypted" If im not wrong , this is internal sd storage, not external , right? Difference is I can connect to Pc but device manager says Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 9006
when I try to run QFIL
QFIL says "Failed to Switch to Emergency Download mode"
Any suggestions?

try to press 3 button for 20 sec and after that, then press again for 20 sec and then volume up and then connect, i dont remember it good sorry
Got some update for my problem...still not solved. After new clean wind0ws installation , already my phone is recognize from pc. qualcomm 9008 .
Got some problem for MTP USB recognizing, but sometime is correct. So here is what i got like problems:
When power on, still got "encryption unsuccessful" reset not working, Wipe data , cashe, system, not working, no results after delete all of them. After restart still "encryption unsuccessful"

Blue bar not showing, dont know if this is issue...Think my boot-loader is not open. I try to open it, but got error from cmd command. Have Question: If my emmc storage is fried, how to test it? With Lenovo assistant show only 250mb or something like that. Dont see 32gb. Let me ask, 1. you dont enable oem unlock in dev options ?
2. make a photo from device manager if your phone is connected, is it 9008 or 9006?
