[G928I]MM Bootloader from G928G - Galaxy S6 Edge+ General

I tested it, G928G MM Bootloader works on G928I.
I tested it with this [ROM][SM-G928 F/I/C/L/K/S][6]Ditto S7 ROM [v6] from Electron Team[PC8] Thanks to GigilinE
Take a look at Attachment!
TAR File(sboot.bin, cm.bin) flash via Odin. (For install a ROM you need Recovery and Kernel for MM)

Hey mate,
Wanting to use AUDAX Rom using this... did you need to flash the 928G modem files as well or just the bootloader?
Thanks

Hey, i flashed the modem, hidden, bootloader and cm from this rom G928GUBU2BPD2_G928GUUB2BPD2_G928GUBU2BPD2.
It works great.

So have you uploaded just the bootloader here? Do you have the modem files?

Im in New Zealand with a G928I DVU2AOK2, Would this work?
If it would work how does one install it? ( I know how to use odin just need the ROM link and what to do with your bootloader files)
Thanks

I flashed mine to Marshmallow earlier today using Audax Rom,
This is the process I followed:
1- Put Rom in your device
2- Enable Developers options in your phone
Go to Settings / About Device / Software Info and tap on Build Number 10 times to enable Developers Options.
Then Go to Settings / Developers Options and Make enable "USB Debugging" and "OEM Unlock".
3- Make a backup of you internal SDcard and your data.
4- Power off your device
5- Reboot into Download Mode
(Press and Hold Volume Down + Home + Power button)
6- Open Odin 3.10.7
7- Put BOOTLOADER in BL
8- Put TWRP RECOVERY in AP (I had to specifically use this TWRP as the current one wasn't working for me https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=52574)
9- Connect device to PC and it added in Odin
10- Go in options tab and uncheck autoreboot (check only F. Reset Time).
11- Click on Start to Flash the files
12- Once it's completed and you see "PASS" in a green box, disconnect device and long press Volume Down + Power
13- Once screen turns off, immediately press Volume Up + Power + Home to reboot to recovery manually.
14- Once in Recovery, install Audax Rom and in Aroma installer select WIPE DATA.
15- When device reboot seems like a Bootloop but is normal. Than start Samsung bootanimation. Complete reboot ends after 7/8 minutes.

i´ve flashed this firmware complete G928GUBU2BPD2_G928GUUB2BPD2_G928GUBU2BPD2 and it works for me on my G928I! Only problem is LTE with O2 for me.
i think the best is install firmware. And then install recovery and kernel for other roms.

[Q] How to install stock ROM for N7100?

Hi all,
I have just bought a N7100. The build number is JR003C.N7100XXALJ3.
I have read the following thread about installation of stock ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696
I would like to install "N7100ZSDMA6 N7100OZSDMA6 - Download - Hong Kong" stock ROM in my device. However, after reading the thread, I still can't figure out the correct procedure of installing the ROM.
I have downloaded the ROM & Odin3_v3.04. Any other tools required?
Procedures:
1. Open Odin3, select PDA and select the ROM downloaded
2. Turn-off N7100 and enter into download mode (Do I need to turn on the "Developer Options" in the Setting manual?)
3. Connect my device to the computer
4. Click "Start" in Odin3
My N7100 is just bought and not rooted yet. Is my procedure correct???
Many thanks!

1.yes, but you have to extract zip file which you have download, and you will find .tar md5 file. which you have to select for PDA
2.yes, there is no concern with 'development option'
3.yes
4.yes
And make sure only f.reset time and auto reboot is checked. They both must be checked and nothing else.
Sent from my GT-N7100
Thanks for the advice!
The ROM is successfully installed.

SM-T800 on Marshmallow 6.0.1 - How do you root or install TWRP on this?

I was previously on cm12.0 but wanted to get back to stock for 6.0.1. Got back to stock but now I can't stand the bloat. Has anyone rooted the stock 6.0.1 yet?

Just flash TWRP with Odin then flash the supersu zip through TWRP.
Thanks. I got through it all. It's been a while since I've rooted this tablet. My Linux laptop and Virtualbox eventually played nice. Also, apparently any old cord doesn't work. I had to use the original Samsung USB cable for Download Mode to work.

As I've never used TWRP before (always rooted with Chainefire''s CF-Auto-Root still not available for SM-T800 6.0.1), could you please post a quick step-by-step on how to root the new Marshmallow 6.0.1 on a SM-T800.

This link is not for our tablets but is the same process. Just make sure you find the correct TWRP version for the T800. Once you have TWRP installed find Supersu and copy it to your tablet's SD card. Use TWRP to install Supersu. http://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/install-twrp-recovery-samsung-android-using-odin/

I'm also on MM 6.0.1 having just bought this device. I'd like to install this rom:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/rom-android-6-marshmallow-tab-s-10-5-lte-t3219759
So how do I go about it please? Do I need to unlock the bootloader?
:edit: Followed the guide and got TWRP installed. Downloaded the Gapps (very slow download), SuperSu zip and Nougat rom from here. Did a wipe of dalvik, cache, data and system. Sorted. Only problem is I bought the tablet for reading comics and for some reason my comic reading apps can't "see" the cbr files on the micro SD.
So I have tried re downloading Odin and Twrp and flashing it. It passes Everytime. But when I boot to recovery with power home and vol up. It goes to Android recovery. Any tips solutions you could help me with? Thanks very much in advance
After flashing twrp in odin did you reboot to recovery ? Pretty sure u need to reboot to recovery to get it to "stick",
Otherwise I believe your tab will change it back to origanal recovery
DOWNLOAD:
1) Install the TWRP app from the Play Store or grab the apk from our website
2) Open the app, agree to the terms, and enable root access
3) Select TWRP Flash
4) Search for your device and select the version you wish to download
5) Once the download is complete, select the file (it's usually in your downloads folder) and then Flash Recovery
OR:
Most devices can be updated quickly and easily within TWRP if you already have version 2.8.4.0 or higher installed
1) Download the latest version from our website on your device
2) Reboot to TWRP
3) Hit Install and tap the "Images..." button in the lower right
4) Browse to the location of the TWRP image on your device and select it
5) Select recovery from the partition list and swipe to flash
OR:
You can find more information and download links on our website.
I had the same problem and I solved it by chance by finding a post online. It seems that after you flash TWRP with Odin it is indeed properly installed but you can't access it because when you boot into recovery it boots into Samsung's recovery. To get to TWRP you need to do the following:
1. Power off your Galaxy Tab S 10.5. Wait 6-7 seconds after screen goes off.
2. Press and hold the three buttons Power + Home + Volume down together until you see warning screen.
3. Press Volume Up to continue to download mode.
4. Reboot again pressing POWER + HOME +VOL DOWN but as soon as the screen goes blank immediately change to VOL UP whilst still holding the other buttons and wait.
5. Voila TWRP!
I hope it worked for you as it did for me.

After flashing this recovery, it boots right back into stock recovery. Any idea what i'm doing wrong? Do I have to disable dm-verity or something?

You can keep dm-verity. After flashing I'd suggest leaving fastboot and booting straight into recovery via fingerpress.
Flashing SuperSU or Magisk or similar should ensure survival of TWRP if it's being overwritten.
Works great but I found :
1. Reboot to TWRP is so slowly... Why ?
2. System won't boot into TWRP when wipe everything and reboot to TWRP. I need to turn phone off and then press volume up + power button to enter TWRP again.
Is there any chance to fix those ?

1. I've noticed the slow speed too, I'm 100% sure why it's happening but I have some ideas.
2. The same ideas will hopefully address this issue.
It was a quick and dirty port since there was no native TWRP, I haven't had the time yet to improve it but I'll build an updated release based on 8.2.5.0 sometime soon and look to making it official.

I've had no issues with USB-OTB, with any standard formatted flash drive (FAT32, NTFS, EXT4).
This is also the first I've heard of anyone having such an issue.
Does the OTG drive mount successfully in whatever ROM you're using? Is it attached prior to booting to TWRP? Can you provide additional information.
TWRP doesn't like remounting the same USB multiple times - i.e if you unplug the USB while in TWRP, and then reattach the same drive it won't remount it.
Sorry to feedback lately because I was too busy in past 2-week.
Well, new TWRP is working well.
The only one problem: If I want to upgrade firmware, TWRP will be replaced by MIUI stock recovery after flashing new version of MIUI ROM.
It's pretty annoying because I need to get into fastboot mode then flash TWRP. After that, entering TWRP and flash lineage OS ...
Is it possible to be fixed in next coming version ?
Kris
May I know how to flash the TWRP rom?
I'm on MIUI.eu ROM, can I flash full global MIUI original ROM with TWRP without bricking the phone ??
Before on Redmi note 3 u can't flash original ROM without bricking the phone, u needed special TWRP (zxc version) or modify the ROM
Can you explain me ?

It is not possible to install Magisk, because he is installing his own boot.img and i will be stuck at bootloop? Everything is working by the way, many thanks, but i flashed Viper4Android, it doesn't work, asks for drivers all the time.
Brilliant! Many thanks as I just got this device a few days ago so the timing on this guide is perfect! I had a little trouble after I flashed the BL_ENG_BOOTLOADERS where it constantly boot-looped but once I was able to get it back into download mode (holding volume down, home button, and power button) and start again from step 5 of the unrooting process everything worked according to plan then. I'm happy to announce I've rooted, customized, and unrooted thanks to the simple ease in which this method works so many thanks to jrkruse!

I (newbie who trying to root for the first time) have tried to root my Samsung S9 with SuperSu via Odin. My device is now stuck at the S9 loading screen which will not boot up anymore.
Source of learning:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3IppGISkP0
Here's what I have done:
Stage 0 - Download all needed files
1. Odin 3.13.1
2. no-verify-opt-encrypt-6.0-star
3. RMM-state-ByPass_Mesa.zip
4. Samsung-anti-removal.2.4.zip
5. SupserSu-v.2.82.201705271822.zip
Stage 1 (Setup environment)
1. Enable Developer mode - OEM unlock enabled & USB Debugging enabled
2. Turn off my device, enter download mode (volume down button + bixby button + power button)
3. Connect my S9 device to my laptop
4. Launch Odin 3.13.1 on my laptop (S9 device recognized!) - Select AP, choose TWRP 3.3.1.1, press on start. (Device turn off itself)
5. As soon as device begins to boot, I enter recovery mode (volume up button + bixby button + power button)
Stage 2 Managed to entered TWRP
1. Swipe to Allow Modification
2. Tap on Wipe > Format Data > type in YES
3. Back to Menu
4. Tap on Install, (no-verify-opt-encrypt-6.0-star) - success
5. Reboot - Recovery
6. Tap on Install - (RMM-state-ByPass_Mesa.zip) - success
6. Hit back button
7. Tap on (SupserSu-v.2.82.201705271822.zip) - success
8 . Hit back button
9. Tap on (Samsung-anti-removal.2.4.zip) - success
10. Reboot system
11. Device begins reboot (Device stuck at Samsung S9 Screen)
Any advice what should I do now? Am I making any mistakes?
Please help. Appreciate!

I believe you need magisk.
Instead of using SuperSU try using Magisk, it's more simple has has more features compared to SuperSU.
Also I think the reason why you stuck at the bootscreen is that after you format your phone, that means your phone got no rom/ system. Maybe you can try installing the ROM from the custom one which you can find in the cross device section in Here (Exynos Only).
And each of them has the instruction on how to install Magisk to root your phone
Edit: The video you refered to I believe is for the android 9 version, if your phone is on android 10 then it's outdated for your phone

I actually tried with Magisk.. but it stays the same. Basically I replace stage 2, step 7 with Magisk instead of Supersu.
Flashing only Magisk does not mean I have any system in place correct?

My device was on Android 9 actually.. so I have the exact same version as the video shown. Today I have flashed back my device with Stock ROM on Android 10. Im not sure with the steps Im doing it is right, when should I actually flash a custom rom? Please correct me if im wrong, my stage 1 should be all correct. Stage 2, before step 10 rebooting system, I should actually flash Custom ROM? Because after formatting my device and installing Magisk on Stage 2 step 7, my device still got no rom right?
After flashing back my device with Stock ROM on Android 10, I tried to root my device again with the steps give in video (still failed, device stuck at Samsung Logo again).
Flashing back again with Stock ROM. Tried to enter download mode to start TWRP via Odin.
Then I was given a message "Only official release binaries are allowed to be flashed (RECOVERY)" in Download Mode
Now what? Does that mean I can't go flash anymore? :crying:

Yes, the steps that I did on my own by coming from stock ROM:
1. Flash TWRP from odin, disable the automatic reboot
2. If success, then manually reboot to TWRP
3. Then I formated my phone
4. Follow the custom ROM installation steps
5. Done!
note:
- Steps 1 & 2 is basically the same as what you've done.
- If you still want to running the stock ROM, you have to flash the modified one or you'll stuck on the boot screen.
My suggestion is using the Alexis ROM, which is more updated (already on oneUI 2.1), more light, has alot of features (which you can choose in the aroma installer), and built in Magisk. so you don't have to install magisk manually

is it written "Prenormal"?
there's this stage called prenormal where you failed to modified your phone for the firstime, basically you have to wait like 7 days until you can modify your phone again.
and if still failing, it will back to the prenormal stage.
so far that's what i know, correct me if i'm wrong
if not then you can try to flash TWRP to see if it works
Also the thing i realize is that to be able to flash TWRP in Odin you have to finished doing the first time setup on the ROM, idk why but that's what i'm facing back then
Are you on Android 10? If yes, i followed this video.

Because you flashed the stock firmware, you might forgot to enable oem bootloader unlock?

Not sure what actually happened, but the message is now gone after restart.
Anyway, Do you know this website (https://desktop.firmware.mobi/) instead, can I just use the ROM here to flash my device?
Not sure if I could just do the same, downlaod the recovery and boot img, then flash via Odin?

Not sure what I did again, but the message "Only official release binaries are allowed to be flashed (RECOVERY)" is now removed. I just recall I did a restart I think. I tried your video, it didn't work. I end up in the same screen which I now think this is expected case? Because once we completely wipe the phone, the device has no more ROM. So in the video, we only flash back Magisk and Disable Verify.

Never knew that before tho, but if you want to download the official one I would recomend you downlaod from the SamMobile, which I highly recommend and is already trusted by alot of users here, just choose the right model number and country and you're done!, or if you want a faster download then I recommend you to use either Frija or SamFirm which is the same, and both are tools to download firmware from SamMobile.
It will download a zip of firmware, you just have to extract it and flash it by using Odin, also for the CSC file choose the HOME_CSC don't choose the normal CSC,
if you able to get into the normal rom, then you can do the instruction that i give before
hope it works
