About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currenly an issue that we are aware of and addressing. For now after you changed density reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

Downloading!! I'll see how it performs but I would be unable to report bugs that may occur since I disabled the 2 cores to make the phone work that causes lock issues in all ROM, it just wouldn't be reliable!

What happens after step 4? Did it boot?
I didn't understand step 5. What is W-Lan screen?

Not it works, after fresh KDZ install. But it shows the SD-Card as corrupted (always in ex-fat Format for twrp backups). Had to Install Gapps now, can i use opengapps nano?
ps: Sorry for W-Lan, i mean wifi.

SORRY, i mean NOW, looking good your ROM.

To fix the Lexar SD Card error follow these steps:
1:Make sure USB debugging is on.
2:Boot phone into recovery (TWRP).
3:Connect phone with USB cable to a PC or Laptop.
4:Backup all the data from your micro SD card (external lexar card) to your Laptop.
5:Reboot phone (Reboot system).
6:Go to settings>storage & usb and click on the lexar SD card option.
7:Follow the wizard that will format your micro SD (erase all data on micro SD card)
8: Done, micro SD card ready to use.
Now you can put back your files that you backupped on step 4 to your micro SD card...But remember the ROM is in testing so I recommend to keep your files on the Laptop also

Sounds good, but after format, can i use my card for backups with TWRP? some files are bigger as 4GB (for example system_image.emmc.win >4.3GB)?

Best custom ROM in the entire g4 community. This **** got all the bells and stability compare to any other ROM. I'm dirty as hell with this ROM
Thanks to our fellow dev @Mazda and team and OP

Excellent ROM. Very happy overall.
However I get massive stuttering on music playback with Viper4android when screen off. It's fine without Viper4android.
Any suggestions. Also the Viper works fine when screen on.
Any help is most appreciated.
Don't have the same problem on any other ROM so maybe it is something with the ROM and not the Viper.
Cheers

You'll love it. Let me know your opinion once you flash it :fingers-crossed:

I'm having 'theme provider has stopped' every time I try to get into themes, clean flash using open gapps I've tried clearing both cache's and dirty flashing a fresh download over the 1st but still getting the issue.
Other than that its a great rom

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

Don't disable Heads-Up. You wont be able to answer phone calls otherwise.
You tell...
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Lollipop. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
Flash boot.img in Fastboot
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.
If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

A quick note on #Find7 #AICP variants.
Find7 is a tricky device because of its bull**** partitioning layout (thanks Oppo). We have created 3 (4?) variants depending on your device / personal preference:
Find7 : This is stock Find7a as defined by Oppo, with 3GB for /data (!!).
Find7s : This is stock Find7s (QHD model) as defined by Oppo.
Find7ext: This is a variant created with the only purpose of increasing the available space at the cost of having an external sdcard (class 10 recommended) AND renaming two partitions from the recovery, which is a low risk process (not the same as repartitioning).
Find7u : This is the "unified" layout as created by c0ldbird and others. It requires a repartitioned device which I personally won't support as it's full of risks (I know cases of bricked devices). This was available on KitKat and for the moment is not supported on Lollipop (who knows in the future?)
Regarding find7ext, which is my preferred choice, this is what happens when you flash this variant:
Your internal sdcard will be remapped as external sdcard (and possibly invisible, as it is ext4 - you'll need to convert it to FAT from TWRP)
Your external sdcard will be remapped as internal sdcard. Most of applications ignore the secondary card so this will basically increase your sdcard space (depending on your external sdcard capacity).
If you want to have 9GB for /data (25GB on the 32GB model) and all of your sdcard as "/sdcard", then you just need to "rename" your partitions (not the same as repartitioning) which is a low risk process that can be easily done from TWRP by running some shell commands (adb shell):
Code:
parted /dev/block/mmcblk0
name 15 _sdcard
name 29 userdata
name 15 sdcard
(Reboot recovery)
Wipe /data as ext4
Wipe /internal_sd as ext4
Reversing the layout requires a similar set of commands:
Code:
parted /dev/block/mmcblk0
name 15 _userdata
name 29 sdcard
name 15 userdata
(Reboot recovery)
Wipe /data as ext4
Wipe /internal_sd as ext4
Hope you find this information useful.
Please don't ask for ETAs regarding Find7u. I personally don't recommend that method - although we may finally bring that up after all. There are safer solutions such as Omni's LVM implementation that we may also have or not in the future depending on free time and real life pressure. Please don't ask for ETAs for that too.

Never mind. Figured i had to go from color os 2.0.x or had to flash cm 12. During flashing of cm i noticed that boot. img was also flashed.
Now i have 2 other issues:
1. I enabled encryption but cannot turn it off. Any ideas how i can do it?
2. Also my phone is not recognized when i connect to pc. Is it because of encryption? Or am i missing something?
3. What happens if i flash a new rom? Will my external sd card also be encrypted and hence the data lost?
Delete
@alienmind I'm not sure what is causing this issue but when I use podcast addict and try to skip forward or backwards the stream continues to play as if I haven't skipped it (even though the time bar moves and acts like it has been shifted), then I force close the app but it continues to play and at this moment the lockscreen becomes unresponsive and the phone starts to lag until I reboot. This has happened on the latest 2 builds after clean install and has not happened on any other rom
I have attached a log
Please check latest nightly

The latest build still has the same issue as mentioned above. Just FYI
Beta 5.1.0 build
The following beta 5.1 builds are available:
- Regular build
- ExtSD (reversed) build
Use with the following gapps
Is LVM supported by the 5.1 beta?
I unterstand the decision against the unified method, but LVM is much more harmless and works great on Omni and Nameless.
I would give it a try if it's supported.

Can you give md5 checksum for this build???
I tried the find7ext rom as described i post 1.
It doesn't work. The I was reversing the layout.
Everthing seems to be ok.
Internal storage, internal sd and external sd as it was before.
BUT when I start the gallery it says I have no SD card inserted.
And now I really have no idea why.
I got media playback error after playing for a while ,cannot be change and stopped... Got some logs but doesn't sure is it a correct one http://pastebin.com/dyNhBACk
Are there any plans to support LVM? In my opinion it is the best option to solve storage problems in the Find 7.
Unfortunately, there is no radio on my x9076, int does not even request pin, and *#*#4636#*#* shows "WCDMA ONLY" and cannot be changed. Too bad

I m using f2fs, latest SU 2.79 SR1 works with it no more phh
Has this rom wakelock blocker ¿?
Thanks for the rom.
this is wonderful news DU has always been my favourite thank you! will try it soon and report
I have f2fs data and cache and supersu is not working, tried the latest version, 2.79 SR1 beta
i tested it quickly, seems very nice
only big problem yes it is video recording, that doesn't work at all here (doesn't save videos to sdcard). but adding "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" in build.prop seems to fix it! can someone else confirm?
only other things, i miss the swap keys feature, but i could swap keys myself modding keylayout files so not a big problem, and the fingerprint wake that is not enabled, but i see i can enable it with the echo command via terminal.. so again not a big problem!
thanks!

sorry but where? didn't see it.. do you mean something like in CM and other roms where you have "additional buttons" menu in settings? because in DU i didn't see it.. tia!
and for fingerprint wake you confirm we should flash the old zip for cm right? to add the echo command in init.d..
@33bca I installed your DU rom and “com.android.phone.process“ don't works and therefore Does not detect the sim card.
Looks like that it happens when change from cm based rom to aosp roms ?
Any idea what could to be the solution ?
did you clean flash? i came from RR (cm based) and no problems at all..

AICP Pie for Titan
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and we are now based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the GZOSP team, if it concerns their code base. This ROM isn't GZOSP supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I keep losing root with Magisk, how do I fix it?
A. Check this out. If that doesn't work for you, ask for help in this thread, read or ask in the Magisk thread on XDA or just re-flash Magisk!
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Pie. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The procedure might vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 17.2 doesn't usually require to be flashed on every dirty flash. Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time. Unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!

Yeah, hope the OpenGL bugs can be ironed out in the future,or skiagl improves (unlikely but who knows), strangely a lot of devices with pie custom ROMs are having issues with skiagl, including newer and more powerful devices like the LG G2 and Lenovo Vibe K5,it seems it's a issue with the graphics drivers or something
Everything is working fine but the hotspot is not working, and the QS tiles is not aligned perfectly other than that the ROM is perfectly fine. Sorry I forgot to take screenshots and flashed other ROM

FAQ
FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them (if you find any), but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel.
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 28.
ISSUES
*** You may end up with an unusable phone IF you are in a non-english rom language AND you have enabled only PIE and disabled all other navigation options. This will not happen with all languages but few. . Seems to have affected Turkish and German language mostly. There are few more that might be affected, like mainland Chinese. Issue is fixed and will be available in March 14th WEEKLY. Until then, don't use PIE with any of these languages. Or if you plan to do it because you are curious, make a nandroid backup first.

I'm really glad to see renewed support for the HTC 10. After oreo dropped, I was sad as our device seemed dead from a developer stand point but with pie all you wonderful developers have breathed a new life in the 10. I'm so thankful to you all.
Wow. It's unbelievable that we have 3 official and 3 unofficial Pie ROMs for our phone. All of them are stable and can be used as daily drivers. Thank you all, our beloved devs. My phone now is still alive. So great!
New WEEKLY build available in OTA update has March ASB's builtin.

So do not use PIE for navigation until we fix it.
Labeled POST #3 as ISSUES.
EDIT 08 March: Seems to be specific to Turkish and German and maybe a couple more. Fixed. Will be available in next build.

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and we was based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
For Android 10 we are now full AOSP-based.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
*
*/
Feature list (rough overview)
In the beginning we would like to thank:

Thank you!!

A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)

The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Pie. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk canary
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

We are introducing in Android 10 a vendor partitionon hima. So please follow the OP and install the linked TWRP, til @Captain_Throwback will release a official version.
So hima is not treble, but has a smell of treble
Also please note, that android Q introduces System-As-Root (SAR), so flashing GAPPS will only work properly with the linked TWRP.
There is also a GAPPS linked that will work with Q until official GAPPS are released.

Happy to create a dev ticket or whatever is required but wanted to see if anyone else is seeing a big lag time between unlocking and having the home screen show up? I tried both swipe lock screen and pattern lock and both are doing the same thing.

Joined the XDA forums just to say Thanks! Thank you guys very much for your hard work, I've flashed this rom and finally after dealing with me being lazy about my firmware, have it running. I'm not quite sure if I'm rooted correctly or not however. I do get some options in the Aicp Extras app but nothing under system. I don't have any extra apps after flashing.
But thanks very much and will be happy to report anything that goes wrong I'll be using this daily.

settings-app is more or less pure AOSP - AICP-Extras will be filled in the next months
Just an update for myself using this rom. I have experienced gps issues as I use google maps. I did attempt to navigate with maps and my location stayed static even after several attempts. It does also take a bit for it to lock on if its unable to use wifi to assist it. When i was out walking it would bounce me all over the city block.
So not sure if this is just me or what. But if there is something data wise i can provide i can do so.
Addition: So listening to audio through the headphone jack I am experiencing definit audio issues. Any audio that plays has millisecond drops in audio. It does not matter the app. I feel like its the cpu maxing out. Bluetooth is just fine.
