Where is the option to unlock and flash stock unbranded android?
By stock Android do you mean a version of Cyanogenmod? I don't know if it is yet available for our phones. If by unbranded you mean a Samsung Touchwiz based rom with the Samsung apps removed, then that can be done by visiting the Development forum for this device. There are Touchwiz based custom roms to be found there.
Welcome to the Galaxy Note 2 and good luck.

If by unlock you mean for any carrier this worked perfectly for me on stock rom.

Note 2 unlocking and roms

Hello everyone. I haven't used a custom rom over 6 months and I have few questions.
I have this rom called tweaked 1.4 I don't remember downloading it but that's what I'm using right now. Any new roms that you guys can recommend to me?
And my rom is 4.1.1 and I used the unlock method to unlock my phone and it's unlock. If I get a rom that 4.1.2 would I lose my unlock?
Thanks for any replys

Im running jedi x 13 rom which is a 4.1.2 rom and my phone stayed unlocked. The only problem I have with it is when using other sims in my phone I wont get a 4g lte signal for data. Thats no biggie for me though. Hope this helps.
I've been using CM for years on several phones and am very pleased with the speed, features, and stability.

[Q] Question about firmware

Hi, this is my first post here and I've done some searching and I've got confused with the firmware names between stock and original.
Currently I have a T-mobile 4.1.1 baseband T889UVALL4 with T-mobile firmware.
What I am trying to understand and do is change from t-mobile firmware as it has t-mobile apps to a samsung firmware and their apps /non t-mobile apps.
Is this something possible? Where can I find these firmwares and what is the latest version?
Thanks & regards
First off welcome..Why dont u give tweaked a try. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242972 Its the only rom I use on my phone.. You have the ability on install to choose the amount of bloat u want and it's super customizable....... as for the international roms be mindful they don't have wifi calling

Look up teshxx in the development section he has stock samsung roms. Keep scrolling the different roms til you find the latest updated one, cause he have quite a few posted. If you ever want to try a custom rom, try Jedi x14 by ptmr3 which is great.

What is the difference between factory and stock image?
Ive seen the topic where it has all images for t889 but I cannot distinguish what are those.
If I want to have a samsung only firmware on my t889 , what king of file should I be looking for?
Tks
Anyone? Any place I should look?

Factory and stock should be the same just wording. What are you looking for ? Do u want a rooted stock rom. If so downloaded teshxx deodexed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102380. Like I said before if you want a rooted stable customizable (without flashing anything else) try tweaked

Hi, thanks for your help. What I am looking for is remove anything related to T-MOBILE from my phone, so it looks like the Samsung Firmware without T-Mobile apps, in order words, to look like the international Samsung Galaxy Note 2, unbranded.
How can I do this? What is odexed/deodexed btw?
Tks

Hi deeznutz1977 thanks for your help.
From what I could read, a ROM is something you put on top of the firmware.
Is there anyway to put a Samsung firmware from scratch without those T-Mobile brand on the SGH-T889?
So it would be a brand new firmware, no ROMS or t-mobile apps.
Thanks for you help and patience.
Best Regards

thanks bro i downloaded the file it was 1.5 gigs, so do you know which custom recovery works best for tmo galaxy s4? and which version?
thanks in advanced:good:
CWM and TWRP both work but with kitkat roms personally I've had better luck with TWRP (using 2.7.0.0).
Alright thanks let me back up my phone text and let the rooting begin...

Ok finally a question about teh phone I am using and not the bricked one :)

Its T Mobile Samsung SGH-M191 running Android 4.3, can I download a rom from ether Android development or original android development and flash a 4.4.2 rom on it?
The know app is gone, the custom rom counter is still there,
I flashed CWM recovery on rooting and am running WIcked V10 currently
Region unlocked, but not sim unlocked

Yes you can. If you are rooted you can flash any Knox free ROM. That includes 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4 ROM. I'm currently on Insane KitKat its a great ROM.

Thank you this s4 rooting is easy enough but the ROMs are kinda different than the s3s were to me, or maybe its because when I had the s3 I only ran TPR.

You mean TWRP?I was a long time user of the S3 myself. I've stayed away from Aosp because for some reason it breaks functions when I go back to Touchwiz. It did very well for me when I used HTC devices but not Samsung.

No I meant TPR as in a ROM called The Peoples ROM, my GS3 was on Sprint and being new to rooting anything that advanced TPR was the closest to stock with no sprint bloat ware in it,
I have since learned how to add and remove what I want to make a ROM customized to my personal needs and wants. Is, I like adding Kii keyboard into a ROM before flashing, since I love it so much I bought it
