Tethering via easytether Bluetooth, pauses after screen off - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

I am using MM and greenify, and purposely do not greenify easytether, but a little time after screen off, tethering pauses till I manually wake screen. What's going on?

Just tried it, and it only happens if not used for 3 days. It didn't work.
I literally just have to hit the power button to turn screen back on to get it working again. I'm not sure if there's another related app that is sleeping?
Would it be google services framework?

I removed Google services framework from greenify, but no change.

I turned off auto hibernate for greenify and app power saving, it still stops shortly after screen off. Why?
UPDATE:
If I have it plugged into a charger, it doesn't do this. Is there some kind of power save mode for data or something when not plugged into a charger, when the screen is off for a bit?

Give this setting a toggle in Dev options and see what they does. It's the only thing in my phone that I can find that might do something for you.

Edit: fixed in the latest nighty

AOKP's Torch Wake Lock flaw

According to BetterBatteryStats the Torch Wake Lock is keeping my phone constantly awake even though the screen is on. How can I disable/uninstall torch from the system if it isn't an app from what I understand?

unless im mistaken i believe this has something to do with the FASTTORCH in the rom settings; enabling this leaves your device open to the wake lock. i noticed when i disabled and rebooted mine went away

I've never turned on fast torch so I don't know why it's doing it , but I've switched fast torch on and off, switched off volume for music skipping, and turned off legacy menu icon unlock. Now it seems my phone is sleeping properly after I turn off the screen.

High usage of "Stay awake" in Android OS under Battery settings.

Can you guys please post screenshots of how much battery Stay awake is eating in your system? I am running stock right now. No root, no mods. Should my phone "Stay Awake" this long when my screen is off ? Is 24% use of Android OS normal? This was overnight.
Thanks.

On my phone, if I have Google Now setup it drains my battery like crazy. Seems like it wakes it up very frequently to get location data.
So if you setup Now, that could be a cause.

I have that enabled as well, but never had this issue using GNex. I googled this issue and many suggested to install better battery stat to figure out what exactly is keep it awake. Will post the results when it collects more data and when I have the culprit.

Ok google "always listening" doesn't work. Any advice?

How does this work with the phone screen off?
I have trained the voice model and activated the settings below, but it still won't work from any screen other than a home screen or the Google app.

You have to have trusted voice on to unlock when the screen is off. The phone does answer me from anywhere in my kitchen. lol
Actually trusted voice doesn't need to be on for this to work. I have the settings the same as before and a reboot fixed it.
Guess I just needed to restart my computer . It's 2015 and we still don't know why this fixes software issues.

Maybe a rouge app that can modify system settings?
Settings > Apps > Settings cog (top right) > Modify system settings
Also look at the apps that can access your location.
Turn off the permission for apps that don't need it.
Apps like GSam Battery Monitor might actually tell you what app is using you location.

Thanks ill give that a try and see if it ever happens again

I discovered the other day same thing was happening to me, got a notification from clean master n took care of it with greenify...my strange battery drain is finally gone! Standby time is so much better, phew!

Same issue here when I installed MapMyRide. It's been 'secretly' polling my location even though GPS is off!

Battery life seemingly worse even when not in use

My oneplus 3 seems to now lose battery during the day even if I don't use it all day (screen off).

Any ideas what could be eating up my battery? Looking at the battery usage, I don't see anything that jumps out, but it looks like a pretty steady decline.
Perhaps I inadvertently changed some setting?

could be ur location running in the background from google maps, u can download wakelock detector if u r rooted and that will show u what is running in the background causing battery drain, b/c u should be going into doze or download betterBatteryStats
Thanks. I did some more research, and looks like something is waking up my phone. The phone has been on my desk, not in use. So I don't think it's the fingerprint sensor.
This shows something waking my phone. From about 8 am onwards, the phone wasn't being used.
