How to force Mediatab m2 to "LTE only"/"PS only" mode - Huawei MediaPad M2

Dear all,
I fail to register to a 4G data only test network with my Mediatab m2. I did root my m2 then installed successfully "Toggle Network Type 5.0" to force "LTE only" mode but it does not force anything
I suspect my m2 to register to any network not as "PS-only" that is peculiar for a tab that do not support Voice services.
Does anyone has a solution to force "LTE only" or "PS only" mode on the m2?
Thanks,
PJ

Dual SIM with HTC Tytn 2

I'm trying to use a dual sim adaptor with the Tytn2, but when i turn on the device i get a message saying "smartchip not allowed" and then there is no signal. what can i do?
I can't help you, but i have the same problem... Is it possible to do any changes in the registry?
There is a solution for this problem I've just found it by accident when searching for the same topic. Here are the quotes of people on the forum dedicated to this problem:
"In order to solve this issue, we suggest you to change the network parameter’s of your mobile. Please desable the automatic mode and choose GSM (only) for the network and select GSM (900+1800) + UMTS (2100) for the band selection"
However there is a price for this: "Changing to GSM is disabling all 3G/HSDPA function on the device, so your data speeds will be limited to standard GPRS (50kbps) or Edge, where available (up to 120 kbps)"

Disable 2G (LTE/UMTS only) solution

Sometimes the phone jump to 2G (EDGE) for no reason while HSPA and LTE work perfectly.
Here is the solution (and it will stay after power cycle):
Dial *#*#4636#*#*
Phone Information
Scroll down to network mode and choose "LTE/WCDMA"
Reboot the phone immediately.
This method works for me.
Almost, its *#*#4636#*#*
Trying to do this on my D855 international G3, on lollipop, but can't get into the phone information .
*#*#4636#*#* works, but when I click on Phone Information, an error is given 'note this application does not work on this device' . I suspect a changed lollipop radio/Rom thing.
Any idea on how to achieve this another way?

Did you manage to fix it?
is there a solution for this on asop (euphoria 7/06)?.... after a call it goes to 2g and it "never" switches back to lte
New method:
Dial 277634#*# and you can get in Hidden Menu -> RAT Selection.
Typing 3856#*855# into the dialer allowed be in, then choose LTE, then RAT options.
Using the G3 D850 (AT&T) for t-mobile but it rarely conects to 4G LTE, it's usually on 2G, tried doing the above, with the *#*#4636#*#* code came up a error that I can't access that app, and in the hidden menu I couldnt find where/how to set WCDMA or LTE only, any new way to do this?
Qwerty when in hidden menu choose LTE-ONLY > then >modem setting> then > rat selection works on my g3

[Q] ARTMOD v7 Network Mode fix?

I have problem getting 4G/LTE connectivity on ARTMOD v7 bcs Network Mode keeps changing back to GSM/WCDMA preferred, but if i change it to GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto my phone connects to 4G/LTE but seconds later Network Mode switches back to GSM/WCDMA preferred so my LG Optimus E975 jumps to H/H+ instead of 4G/LTE is there a way to fix this?
and yes i tried to set LTE Only in LG's Service menu called "Hidden Menu" ---> LTE-Only --> Modem Settings --> RAT Selection LTE Only but than i only get 2G connectivity and i bet it's bcs the Network Mode keeps restting to GSM/WCDMA preferred.

"LTE/GSM auto (PRL)" get 4G network but "LTE only" does not get network

"LTE/GSM auto (PRL)" get 4G network but "LTE only" does not get network
Hie, currently I could not connect to 4G network using "LTE only" mode
However, if I use LTE/GSM auto (PRL) the 4G network appear.
I try to search network under setting and force select the 4G network during PRL model. My Operator
can be found. But not in "LTE only" mode.
Also I try to use another ZF2 for this option, it works for "LTE only". So I suspect is configuration problem either build.prop or
telephony.
Network operator: U Mobile (Malaysia, 4G)
Please help. Thank you.
Will missing /factory/PhoneInfodisk/country_code file causing this?
I try to look for this file in factory folder, unfortunately it cannot be found. PhoneInfodisk not exist.

For LTE to be able to make phone calls, it has to switch back to 2G/3G unless VoLTE is enabled, which cannot be done on our zenfone, so lte-only will not work, except for data-only.

Yes, I was forcing it not to use voice for sim 1. As I have mentioned, another zenfone 2 is able to perform LTE Only mode. Something wrong or missing in root/factory/ causing network unable to be found during Non PRL mode. Help.

I have the same device running on a slightly older build, lineage-14.1_j14_20171021_NIGHTLY-gprimelte, and ran into this same problem.
This is what fixed it for me:
Settings > 'Wireless & networks' > 'Cellular networks' > 'Network operators'
Hit the refresh button on the top right corner and select T-Mobile when it comes back as a result in list of available networks. A message should display saying that you are registered on the network, and you should have data at that point. I don't know why it worked nor why this step was necessary to get data working. I had voice and SMS working without needing to do anything.
Good luck.
Another Mike
