I think you shouldn't flash boot.img if you aren't using xiaomi.eu rom. Because It is a modified kernel that disable encryption especially used in xiaomi.eu rom.
To fix it you can try flashing original boot.img from your official version of MIUI of course from fastboot rom.

I suggest you to give extra information that only twrp should be flashed if they aren't using xiaomi.eu currently. Because the downloaded file contain twrp and boot.img

Correct susee, sorry and thank you.
Of course you should just flash the recovery.

same touch not working bug like in the cofface TWRP

I found a workaround but you need your cable and computer.
Just before the TWRP logo comes up, plug in and unplug the USB cable to the phone a few times in succession and touch suddenly magically works.
Still not much we can do without a computer mind you...
Sent from my MI 5 using XDA-Developers mobile app

After flashing a rom , the recovery touchscreen is not working .

Is there any proper fixes for the touchscreen issues in twrp?

waiting some minutes without touch nothing, and then touchscreen works..for me it's ok

Confirmed. Just let the screen fade out and wait couple minutes.

I also found booting into twrp with the charger connected to my laptop made it work straight away... Weird tho

There is an updated version of twrp and the touch issue seems to be gone. V 6.5.7.

fastboot boot recovery.img

Can I install that new TWRP by the current TWRP?

If you have the zip, I bet you can.

I download the zip but it doesn't work.

Well, I mean the right zip. This is only the img file compressed.

How to change TWRP recovery

I have a t-mobile Galaxy s4 that is rooted and uses TWRP 2.6.3.0. The recovery keeps hanging at the Teamwin Blue screen. I downloaded the flashable TWRP 2.5 which is said to be more stable so can I just flash this with Goo Manager or will I have to remove the TWRP 2.6.3.0 first. If so how can I downgrade
Just flash in twrp like you would a Rom but don't do any wipes
No Boot into revcovery
I flashed the TWRP but when I try to go into recovery it opens to the Samsung screen with the blue writing and then it turns off, vibrates twice and boots normally. I did not wipe as you instructed

Download 2.5.0.2 version tar here http://www.teamw.in/project/twrp2 click on Get TWRP for your device and type s4 and click on T-Mobile version jfltetmo, you should flash it through Odin. Whenever you flash another recovery to your phone, it replaces the older recovery.
Where did you get the 2.5 twrp? I flash between different versions of twrp and cwm often.

Some people have huge issues with TWRP I know I did. You might want to flash CWM touch. I did and haven't had a problem since. You can easily download and flash from Rom manager. You can get that from play store. It will give you latest version of cwm touch. Easily. It should solve your recovery problems.i know it solved mine. Don't know why some can use twrp and others have nothing but problems with it. I know I couldn't use it.i needed a stable recovery and twrp was NOT stable for me. CWM touch had never given me a problem once..it might be time to give CWM touch a try...it worked out really great for me.

rootable, RIC disabled, 32..2.A.0.224 (6.0.1) kernel including TWRP and DRM fix

Here's a kernel extracted from
Operator: Customized IT
Network: GENERIC
Version: 32.2.A.0.224 / R9C
ftf
and patched using Tobias Waldvogel's tool from this thread.
Posted here for convenience only. I will not provide any support if anything goes wrong. Should only be used with 32_2_A_0_224 system rom on single sim E6553
All thanks should go to Tobias for his excellent work on his kernel patching tool and to those who provided the utilities that are included.
As always, you flash at your own risk.
Flash in the usual way:
1. unzip boot image. Unzipped file is called boot-patched-RIC-disabled_ivy_32_2_A_0_224.img
2. make sure you have the fastboot utility installed on your computer.
3. boot phone into fastboot mode
4. TEST: fastboot boot boot-patched-RIC-disabled_ivy_32_2_A_0_224.img
5. ONLY IF test successful (Phone boots from image, TWRP can be selected after yellow light, system boots and no issues, flash:
- fastboot flash boot boot-patched-RIC-disabled_ivy_32_2_A_0_224.img
Please, port it for dual sim! E6533
Sent from my E6533 using XDA-Developers mobile app

"Too many links" could indicate a USB driver or USB cable issue, but certainly DON'T attempt to flash until you can reliably boot from the image.
You could try a different image to see if there's something wrong with the one I posted?
What about other fastboot commands? Do they work?
devices list all connected devices
continue continue with autoboot
reboot reboot device normally
reboot-bootloader reboot back into bootloader

I just flashed new rom, this time Customized DE-NL 6.0.1 rom (which my Z3+ came from ) which i downloaded with xperifirm, and after that i could flash any kernel!
I think when i flashed customized IT something goes wrong, because i had problem with camera, i could not take video normally, it was laggy and it freezes.

Installed the latest version via updater app few hours agi. So far everything is fine, no noticable differences.
Can I flash this over LineageOS? Or I need to revert back to MIUI 6.11.10 and then this one through updater?
And, is it nougat based?

Well, maybe days later, just configured other rom.
After OTA update to 7.1.19 , 4K video is, flickering , i tried all 4 settings (50 ,60hz ,none and auto) . Only on 4K video . Before update in same lighting condition I have no problem
Ok guys
After update to this rom I'm bit lost
I was on custom 7.1.1 with TWRP before.
I did fresh start and tried flash this rom from TWRP. No luck
Then I have flashed xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5_6.10.27_v8-6.0.zip and after boot I have rebooted to recovery (still TWRP) and I have flashed the above rom and this time with luck. After successful boot, I have noticed few FC on for example Music.
No I have lost TWRP, can't go back to my TWRP backup.
Wish I never try lol
How do I start again? How do I flash TWRP?
Thanks

No worries Looks like someone beat me to it. Here I am sitting with a 75% upload on my potato internet haha.
Just FYI the build is pretty buggy, things I've noticed so far is that opening quick settings animation can trip out a little bit and every now and then icons from the status bar go missing also search in the settings can crash the app. As expected from a first build of this new style, might be a dealbreaker for some but the new look is pretty sick so it shall stay on my device until the next developer build. :good: :good:

Hey, I came from the latest developer ROM release from the official MIUI download site.
Used TWRP and did a clean flash after wiping literally everything possible twice. Getting access from Xiaomi to have the ability to unlock your bootloader does not wipe anything but does take up to 72 hours I believe. Unlocking the bootloader itself will wipe all your data and factory reset so if you're planning to flash a new ROM anyway then it's not a problem. I rarely use these nightly more experimental builds because they are less stable and I need to use TWRP which isn't much of a problem but the stable and developer released ROMs from the official MIUI download site are available as a fastboot version which you can flash with the Xiaomi Flash tool which fully wipes anything and everything from the phone and installs your MIUI ROM of choice as it were a new phone.
If you or anyone else uses Discord, feel free to hit me up on there. I have barely any status on this website but have been mucking around with ROMs for years. Kaji#4985

Hi there friend, what kind of flash are you doing? Dirty or clean. The chances are you need to wipe everything before this installation.
Also, what ROM are you coming from? If it's a version before Android 8.0 you may need to flash any of the official global oreo ROMs from the MIUI download site first which I would recommend doing the fastboot way (downloading fastboot version of the ROM and flashing with Xiaomi Flash Tool).

So how about you push your AROMA fix to the official TWRP trees that everyone can profit from it?
Also that image is certainly not created by me. It might be based on the official TWRP, but the way you put it is missleading IMO.

Yes,now I have the same idea but doesn't matter I didn't write it created by me,I don't think it have matter for developer because he didn't share the recovery in xda.
I still wouldn't mind if _whoever did it_ would push the fix to the TWRP repository.

Hi I am quite having a hard time figuring out how to install TWRP on my XZP dual global version.
I already flashed the latest firmware last August... I also tried to follow installing it through ADB using command prompt yet nothing did work... Is there someone out here who can help me with flashing TWRP... Thanks
I use in this moment the original 3.2.3-0 version.
Where's is the problem to install TWRP? enable adb, call adb during running phone and accept the PC all time.
If the bootloader unlocked,, boot in Fastmode (hold Volume up during connecting the USB cable with the PC) . Check the driver via fastboot devices, If you see the phone call fastboot flash revovery TWRP. img (if your TWRP version has the name "TWRP. img"). After that you can boot into TWRP

You need to flash a kernel from a custom ROM first (like CarbonROM) in order to be able to boot from the recovery (FOTAKERNEL) partition. The stock kernels have recovery built-in and would use that instead of TWRP. You can get a CarbonROM kernel image (boot.img) from its flashable zip.
After flashing a custom kernel you can then flash the TWRP image via "fastboot flash recovery <recovery image>". You'll have to reboot the phone and follow the usual button combination (though I don't really know it's holding volume up or down) to access the recovery. Using "fastboot boot" will not work and it'll stuck on the Sony logo with the blue fastboot LED stay on.
I think twrp found from this thread,,you can check TWRP Folder,
,https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78121448&postcount=4
I've also the Stock Kernel (Pie) on the phone and can reach TWRP without any problems : you must hold Power and Volume (up or down? Not sure in this moment) till you see TWRP on the Screen (around 6 Sec.) Maybe the screen switched off... Switch it on via short press via Power... That's all
