Signed. Thanks!

You have my support

GPS problems obly presist on Custom roms. The petition are misguided. You should said that they should release GPS source code for x86 devices.

Agree.
Pettion is incorrect. You should ask broadcom to release source code of x86 driver for bcm2076.

Hi Guys Thanks for signing.
I dont really have an in depth knowledge with the workings of the zenfone5's GPS but the first and the current zenfone i've had the same GPS issue and so with my brother's zenfone5.
I just want to have the GPS fixed. If you can guys add more details into the petition. I'd be glad to update it.

Asus is not the responsible company for GPS drivers. Broadcom is. We need bcm2076 GPS+FM driver sources and firmware.
Sent from my ASUS_T00F using Tapatalk

The petition is misleading, that can solve the slow GPS problem on Stock ROM but that's not what we need, we need the private code to completely remove the issue for our Custom ROMs

Here, I made the proper petition.

You should've added this petition to http://change.org this site is more effective and have more success stories. Anyways, signing it!

Bye bye to ASUS.. I got my new Redmi Note 3 32GB... Don't see using ASUS any sooner..
Decision driven by unstable firmware ASUS provides..
Thanks to all dev, who put so much of efforts...

Signed..

Zenfone 5 isn't receiving 6.0 stock update.
ASUS said our "hardware doesn't support it", funny, isn't it?
But don't expect anyone here to port a Zenfone 2 stock ROM to Zenfone 5.

Stock ROMs would have GPS and FM working, and ASUS have also removed a lot of bloatware of itself and other 3rd parties, so maybe someone gets interested in porting... After-all, it's 6.0!

Zenfone 2 has a different GPS and FM system from Zenfone 5, it won't work.
Plus, we depend on Intel MultiDisplay to setup our display, which is not present in Zenfone 2.
Porting will be hard.
Again, if you want it, do it yourself. And, good luck.

Adding Always on display is ridiculous on our phone as the display is not done for it. Ambiant display is already there if you means the screen showing notifications while on black when receiving. For gestures, what do you mean? It has dt2w and that is the only gesture we do have on this device. For ota I already talked about it with him and he don't know if it will come. It is not up to him but it is the rom creator that must do it

Yes I'm on PE since its release. But no need to post anything about portrait mod, Mrhacker seems to have resolved it. So it a question of time for us and hard work for him before we do have it on all the other roms. Wait patiently... Also I don't which bugs you're mentioning. I don't have any. Not apparent at least

so i have investigated camera hal sources and now it looks like all is okay for releasing and open source for community
so here is the link to camera hal sources https://github.com/omni-zuk/device_z...oid-8.1/camera
all commits are open here and ready for cherry-pick https://github.com/omni-zuk/device_z...0a9787bab45b33 well developers needs to revert this commit because this commit only for omnirom which don;t need project pathmap so reverting it will work for other roms and make hal compatible for other roms without issues.

[Sony] Xperia Open Devices Project

Sony Mobile is committed to supporting the open developer community, and one way to show this is by publishing parts of our code as well as selected tools developed by our internal developers.
For some of the Xperia™ devices, we provide Android™ Open Source Project (AOSP) device configurations on GitHub. This means that the software will be open for you as a developer to use and contribute to. This is a way for us to support the open Android community, and it is also a tool for us to facilitate and verify contributions to AOSP.
If you want to build AOSP for your unlocked Xperia device, you find all the resources you need in the sections below.
https://developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/
Unified 4.4 kernel sources
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/kernel
Project git
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/
Bug tracker
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/bug_tracker/issues
Now you can build the latest Android with the latest 4.4 kernel
Thanks for all the hard work and keeping the resources easily accessible and up-to-date. I will be using them for sure .
Thank you for providing these resources and keeping up development for the devices they support. I notice that the dynamic resolution switch in the extended settings doesn't work on android 8.0 or 8.1. Are there any plans to add support for this back in at any point?

It says here that we can change the display to native 4K at 60hz or 1080 at 120hz with your AOSP https://androplus.org/Entry/4577/
The previous comment says it's not working in 8.0 or 8.1, but I don't see an open issue about it in your bug tracker. Was it fixed?
If it wasn't available for 8.0 and 8.1, what version is it available on?
I hope los and rr now.

Is there a changelog or something like that? I had issues with these binaries and AOSP builds from last week. A few days later I noticed a commit that mentioned these new binaries, but after that the "Fingerprint" setting is gone, so I'm now using a build of 08-03-2018 with the V10 binaries.
To be honest, I haven't tried a factory reset nor flashing userdata.img, so when I get home I'll update the repo, build a new version and do a full reset.
@jerpelea why Sony remove the FM radio feature on all modern Xperia phones? Why??? The hardware capability is there. Why you cripple the phone on purpose?
Can you please give a logical explanation about this issue?
When will Sony give me back this feature?
And why Sony block the Displayport alt mode? Again you cripple the phone on purpose.
And why I cannot root my phone without losing DRM keys? How to backup my DRM keys??? Please tell me.
I am waiting for answers but my patience is slowly running out.
Thanks Sony for being so user friendly.
If Sony don't fix these issues soon I will never buy Sony products ever again and I sell my Xperia's, my Playstations, my Walkmans, my Sony TV's and all my other Sony products. And I tell all the people that I know to do the same.
It's your choice Sony.

No. Some manufacturers actually care about their users. Not all smartphone manufacturers cripple the phone on purpose the way Sony does it.

Camera2 API abilities info dump

FYI
Sony XQ-AT51, Sony, XQ-AT51
Android 10 - 4.19.81-perf+
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_HSfBxDdIs1jsp9d_Ht7a3_3F1FvqTznY5C3TYeDx8w/edit?usp=sharing
In table format:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ggxTnVHuBWB0Gnl8txUGgDdiaCdUPCV-sCwyeB1yr-o/edit?usp=sharing
Only the main 24mm camera has FULL support for Camera2 API. The rest of the cameras all have LIMITED support.
The telephoto camera is actually a 20MP Samsung sensor that's cropped in to output a 12MP "70mm" image.
NOTE: Judging from the specs, Camera 0 and Camera 2 are the same camera. They're just reported twice in the Camera2API info dump.

Can you just post the full error log here?
nullpointerexception errors are the result of code trying to reference something that doesn't exist. So for example, Gcam runs some code on startup, but that code is trying to run a function or something that doesn't actually exist on the Xperia. This causes everything to crash.

Hopefully an Android Camera2 API developer can chime in. I see where the errors are, what objects they're trying to reference, but I'm unable to find any documentation or previous questions on Stack or GitHub that could possibly point to what the problem is.
@Arnova8G2 can u please check on this error log? I think some users also reports Camera Go apk is not working on Xperia 1 II despite not requiring Camera2API. Is it not possible to run gcam at all on the Xperia 1 II?

Any chance that anyone clever might be working on lineage for this MI 10T 5G Lite ?

i got this phone at launch and for the price i think its really good but i really dislike the miui intreface, its so restrictive and has limmited options compated to the android on my one plus or lineage that u used previously. i put nova launcher on to try tidy things up a bit but i still cant get used to not being able to turn off some of the notifications which is annoying. so i was wondering if any of the really clever people around here might ever be able to get a lineage option for it ?
