Motorola teases possible specs of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in a funny way - Device Reviews and Information

Motorola has shared some specs and teasers on their Moto India twitter account for the upcoming phone. The company promised earlier that it will be releasing Moto X 2016 (Moto X3), Moto G 2016 (Moto G4) and Moto E 2016 (Moto E3) sometime this year. But it did not reveal the name of the device which will release on 17th of May.
Under the hashtag #missing, Motorola has uploaded photos of several missing people. In one such teaser, an 18-year-old girl Stacy looks upset because the autofocus feature in her current smartphone ruined her birthday party photos. Motorola says “Stop #missing on milestones with a better camera. Coming soon!”
Here are the teaser tweets

The teasers suggest that the next Moto G would feature a better CPU, camera, and battery. The latest teaser hints for Quick Charge technology. Recent rumors also suggest a Snapdragon 650 chipset in Moto G4 plus and 3 GB of Ram, which was also suggested by known leaker EVleaks.

[Q] Best substitute for Galaxy Nexus?

What's the best alternative for a Galaxy Nexus?
My wish list:
- full support and documentation of phone HW and kernel drivers (better if source code of HW drivers is available);
- An active community of 3rd party kernel build/patches/mod and AOSP ROMs. I'm not a fan of Cyanogen and customized ROMs. With my GNex I'm a fan of ShinyROM and FML, I like Fancy Kernel and Franko Kernel;
- LTE ready;
- SuperAMOLED or similar display technology;
- better battery life;
- same dimensions;
- price under 300 USD/EUR;
- European warranty and/or European GSM model (I live in Europe);
- vanilla AOSP Android like Nexus devices. I don't like Touchwiz or vendor ROMs;
- ideal for development and hacking;
Possible candidates, actually, are Motorola Moto G and LG Nexus 5.
Any suggestions?
Moto G, Moto X, or Nexus 5. If you can handle a bigger phone the Nexus 6 is pretty sweet too. It reminds me a lot of my Gnex, but twice the size.

Moto X and Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 are too much expensive.
I can buy Moto G 2nd gen LTE for about 180 EUR (200 USD) minus a cashback of 30 EUR.
What do you think?
Wait for moto g 3rd gen then. Same price, better specs, coming in a week or two...

In first Moto G era they only have few ( perhaps only 2 -5 ) line up of phones, and now they have 5 generation moto g, 4 generations moto e, moto x, x play, z, z play, x ist gen...bla bla bla....many phones.... I suppose the human resources who handling this software update increases now if we compare with the first generation of Moto G. The problem is could they handle all of it??? I don't know what they are thinking....Why they dont make it more simple, so they can focus on more after sale services....
I was angry before about this condition but let take a positive side in here. An update does not always make the phone better, probably they learned from last year update....let talk moto x play, after recent update a lot some or most of user faces SD card problem and the solution is changing the motherboard, so the update killed the motherboard . I think they are not ready to support all their phone's line up.
This is the line up for 2017 phone : Moto C , Moto E4, Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus, Moto GS , Moto GS plus, Moto Z2 play, Moto Z2, Moto Z2 Force, Moto X

Might as well just link the official source... https://blog.motorola.com/2017/09/14/say-hello-android-oreo/
So does this mean moto will release the sources for 8.0 maybe? Not sure of their track record

Yes, they are required to release the kernel source (only) per license for using the Linux kernel. Moto has a really good history of releasing the relatively quickly after an update.
Now this is awesome news

That's really bad news because if we don't get the update before G6 launch we'll probably never see oreo on the G5, it's going be forgotten by lenovo.

they said the same for the G4 series and then didn't even updated to nougat as of today, 2 years+ later.
They updated Moto G4 series Unlocked variants to 7.0 and 7.1.1
The worst ever software update service i ever had. Thought samsung was the worst. But its non other than Moto. I bought this phone just because... Thinking that it will be stock Android, it will update quickly.. and will have better support. Moto used to be ahead of evey other , right behind nexus / pixel devices in terms of software update. But soon after Lenovo acquired moto, software update is a nightmare for every single moto phone.
You may have seen xda portal news about moto g6 series. Well they too wont be getting much support either.
I bought this phone as my secondary phone... I will give this to mom and will buy something like xiaomi note 5 or Zenfone pro m1 . I have a pixel 2 xl as primary.. evey time it gets update notification... I desperately check software update on this too. Now its on march 1 security update. I am looking forward to 64bit official os. Hope Lenovo will do it atlest in two years.
Btw.. i had only one phone from Lenovo ever before. A6000 just 3 days after i bought it its vibration motor stopped!! And when i searched for the reason , i figured out that it was one of their common problems. So i thought to put in some local vibrator motor from local market.. as going and waiting for service is too time consuming. When i opened the phone. I was literally shocked by the quality of the pcb construction.. it was like cheep chineese phones.. soo bad construction .. lol.. they dont even care to put rf sheilds and cheep quality wires and speakers. Literally... Some Chinese manufacturers make better pcb.. If you compare that pcb with something like nokia 1110 ( ya a phone from almost 10 years back) . Nokia's pcb is still the winner. !! Generations ahead.. still .. That day i decided.. i will never buy a Lenovo product again. And I didn't even care to go to local market and buy a vibration motor for that phone.. i closed it. And after a week, gifted to a friend.
Lol.. p20 and p20 pro.. good they sealed it. Donno what will be inside.
I also bought moto to get quick updates and I think, best solution to get oreo is installing custom rom and voiding warranty. That's so funny, lenovo can't still release oreo, but custom roms are on 8.1
