Nice :good:
Why I cant disable CM sms messaging app? I'm using Google Messenger. I believe some weeks or months back I was able to disable it (and I still am able to disable Cm browser app, email and other system apps)

Hi,
you should be able to disable it via SDMaid. It can't be disabled via inbuilt manager because CyanogenMod only allowed to freeze some system apps. Messenger can't be freezes.
Thanks for using Q&A!

Hey, users reported there is no Gello in latest build, but how about videos in Chrome?
We know, or I do, that build 28/04 is does not support videos in Chrome. Uhm, not sure if I am supposed to be able to ask this but, @Trafalgar Square will you do any clean buid soon? It may fix the minor bugs we have now. Thanks.

Hi. Can anyone give a small step-by-step instruction set on how to switch to aggressive doze?
Thanks

hello,
I decided to install your ROM on my Note II.
Im coming from 4.4.2 official.
I just rooted and installed latest TWRP,backuped everything with Titanium.
Do I just wipe and install your ROM and GAPPS?
Do I need anything else, like change partition sizes and stuff?
Or do I just shoot?
Thanks in advance!

This is exactly what you have to do:
- root your device, use CF-autoroot by Chainfire
- flash TWRP 3.0.2.0 (latest, find it on their website)
- wipe EVERYTHING
To do so go to settings and check rm-rf instead of formating; after that wipe data and type "yes". go to advanced wipe and wipe cache, dalvik, internal, system (everything you see there. USB-otg and micro sd are not required, but i always wipe sd because i have nothing important on it).
- reboot device in recovery and if you want to be 100% sure, wipe again everything with rm-rf ON (reboot again in recovery)
- now you can connect your device to PC and copy the rom zip and gapps zip to your device,(i copy them on sd, it doesn't really matter).
- disconnect your device and flash tge rom zip
- when that's done DONT wipe dalvik/cache
- flash gapps
(make sure you don't flash google camera, it's not working)
- now you CAN wipe dalvik and cache
- reboot into system
Enjoy the best CM 13 ROM.
Now, if you want to tweak your device a little bit more you can install from play store Greenify (in greenify go to settings and enable Aggressive Doze) and L Speed. There is a thread on xda with L Speed. The maintainer explains there what L Speed does and how it works.
I use them and it works better.
@Trafalgar Square did you notice a slower charge with BeansKernel? I get like 1100 mAh..

Install Greenify and go to it's Settings. You will see there Aggressive Doze unenabled, so you have to enable it.
In 9 hours my battery went from 45% to 44%. :good:

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the reply..I just did a factory reset and installed the ROM and full GAPPS..everything seem to work so far, including Camera.I will test Greenify and L Speed too.

First of all, BIG THANKS to SlimTeam for providing SlimBean 4.3 to SGS1
One question, may I know what does it mean by the statement in Slim website about Titanium Backup below?
* If you use TitaniumBackup you need to change in settings you backup/restore path to "legacy" *
I was trying to find this setting but couldn't find any.
Kindly elaborate more. Thank you.
thank you further quick update.waiting for native su/root fix.4.3 is new so will take time to fix those small bugs.

Cannot reproduce here.. try a massive wipe and system format and reinstall.. clean up the storage if possible, may contain corrupted media files.

I suppose it was applicable only for the restore option in some particular version of titanium backup. Will look into it.

SU works all fine on slim. You just have to select 'Apps and ADB' in developer options as mentioned in OP.

Same here. Just installed the beta1 with full wipe and format /system. I did a wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache and rebooted. Now it seems to be working ok.
Edit: can't get root access. I had the same problem yesterday with Mackay Rom 3.0.0 (4.3 base). Solution was to enable developer options >> root access >> enable (or similar).
I'm always getting an 'android.process.media' FC when installing 4.3beta, installation was done according to the instructions (twice!). fuul wipe 4 times and dalvik cache all but same and googla apps proces stoped
AWESOME!!! Gonna wait a bit until it is stable... only in build 7.5-8 and using cyancore 2.8.6 i finally managed to make my phone stable and i don't wanna ruin it now but thanks a lot slim team... best dev team out there!

Since there is no Semaphore kernel for Android 4.3 yet is there any chance you will implement Devil kernel? 4.3 version is floating around here somewhere. I used to flash it with Slim 4.2.2 builds and it rocked.

there will be never a native su/root fix because root is now beginning to be a thing of the past. Google introduced selinux into aosp which gives the possibility that apps can get explicit permissions to do operations over it without an overall root. Which has the big advantage that your phone is way more secure. There are really only some smaller cases which do not work without root (like firewalls and something like that) but thats it.
So do not expect at least from us that we break this system like some other roms are doing. We will leave root of course...but it is not anymore enabled by default and respects the new selinux integration. So for now you need to enable it....and when all devs have changed their apps all is well without the need of root. Just a thing of time.
Maybe a nice short easy readup about it from steve
http://www.dailytech.com/CyanogenMod+Creator+Tells+Android+Users+to+Rethink+Rooting/article33058.htm
about titanium backup (they did not update till now a fixed tibu version):
go into preferences->set backup/restore path....hit 2 times the back button then you are in /storage/emulated/ then press legacy and then press titaniumbackup...then press use the current folder....then 2 times ok...tibu will restart
that has something to do with selinux permissions...tibu need to change that due it is not longer the case that all emulated folders are mounted due of security reasons some ppl just flash SuperSU to solve this problem due that supersu is mounting it back the old way but that breaks selinux completly and is just a dumb solution tibu will com with an update for sure

--OLD DELETE ME! [ROM] OnePlus One / CyanogenMod 11S

OnePlus One CyanogenMod 11S for the Oppo Find 7a
People with much better skills and more time on their hands than me have been doing great work on this after I initially posted it. I am updating the OP with their comment. Please give all credit to them.

*) Greatly increased Battery Runtime (see above why)
*) VOOC Charging Support
*) SDCard Lagfix (for those using the SDCard Support Image, if you like benchmarks see appendum)
Appendum:
SDCard Benchmark before Lagfix (128GB Sandisk SD Card):

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTERNAL MEMORY USERS (10GB Storage)
1. Install TWRP Recovery
2. Install cm11s-oppo-find7a.zip
3. In TWRP Recovery do... Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Tick System, Cache and Internal SD -> Slide to Wipe
4. Reboot System
INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXTERNAL MEMORY USERS (as much storage as your SD-card can offer, for me thats 128GB)
1. Format your SD-Card as EXT4 and plug it into your Find 7(a)
2. Install TWRP Recovery
3. Install cm11s-oppo-find7a.zip followed directly by sdcard-data.zip
4. In TWRP Recovery do... Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Tick System and Cache -> Slide to Wipe
5. Reboot System
Final Notes
This bundle includes the first two OTAs from the first page of this topic, a bunch of sensor configuration changes to fix the sluggish behavior of the GUI and the slow (un)locking of the screen as well as the proper Find 7(a) radio binaries to give you proper reception.
The Back Camera is still upside-down with this package and just like many other people in this topic I'm still researching why that is the case / how to fix it. Truth be told though I think someone else will have it figured out way before me!
Also - this ROM is meant to work with a "unified storage" at its core.
The basic installation will use the internal /sdcard partition as its unified storage (rather than the leak on page 1 which uses /data) giving you 10GB of unified storage for both your apps and data.
If you need more storage, you can flash the optional sdcard-data package which will use your external SD-card as the unified storage for apps, settings and data.
To do that though your SD-card has to be EXT4 formatted, I suggest using Ubuntu plus the gparted Tool to get the job done, a live-boot-disc is enough to do that.
As for me, I highly suggest going the SD-card unified storage route, its damn nice having 128gb of unified storage to work with.
Also, should you ever need to back your data up all you have to do is pull the SD-card and copy it somewhere using Linux (all your data - and I do mean ALL - is stored on that SD-card after all thanks to the unified storage).
PS. Unlike what some other people have told here, using this build with the changed sensor configuration seems to run okay on FastCharging from what I can tell. Non the less please handle all of this thread's contents as early early alpha content and expect to run into bugs.
Should you find any, please report them and / or share constructive criticism on how to fix them.

Hello.
Let's take them one by one.
1. you should post things like this here.
2. you need to specify which ROM are you using and whether or not you installed any mods or tweaks on it.
If you're using a custom ROM, such as a CyanogenMod ROM or another one based on it, make sure that the installation procedure below was followed (ALL the steps). This is in case you have a custom ROM like the ones mentioned above. For stock ROMs, you will need to use ODIN on your PC and follow steps 1 , 2, 3, 5. On step 4, you will need to flash the stock ROM via ODIN. For both cases, you will need CWM Recovery (which will be replaced by the stock recovery when the flashing of the stock ROM is completed successfully).
Steps to follow when flashing a custom ROM. Make sure the ROM and the Gapps are on your external memory.
Enter CWM and:
select "wipe data / factory reset"
go to "mounts & storage" and format /system. This is extremely important!
under the same menu, format /sdcard (be careful NOT to format /external_sd by mistake)*
install the ROM (from the external sd)
install the corresponding Gapps (from the external sd)
reboot your phone

1st question: since you're probably running CM11 (KitKat), use a theme from the Play Store. There are a few default JellyBean themes that should change those colors back to blue. I personally love the new white in KitKat but, of course, it's a matter of taste really. If you're on JellyBean, you just have to apply the default system theme (assuming you didn't do a dirty installation, after flashing a KitKat ROM for example). That white is only available as a CM11 theme, or by default, in CM11 ROM.
2nd question: That kernel is:
for CM10.1 or CM10.2. So if you're running CM11, no, you cannot use it
not up to date. So it might not play nice with CM10.1 or CM10.2. So, I wouldn't recommend it. Yes, it should give you more RAM, BUT it might cause you more troubles since it's not updated.
The problem with this device is the low amount of RAM and the fact that the apps are becoming more and more hungry for RAM. If you allocate more RAM for the user, you take from the one for the system, and eventually you might encounter system freezes. If you give more to the system, the user will have less to load apps. It's a compromise, especially when you're working with this low amount of RAM.

I did a little mod for PixelExperience for me and I added
1.PriimaKernel-LOS-07022018_2156 - Very good battery
2.Root Magisk 1.5.3
3.2api for GoogleCam
4.Fix dialer problem
5.Adaway apk
6.Changed phone name to improve compatible with Play Store (GalaxySamsung7EDGE)
7.I have also added scripts to decrease CPU cores in beta Test - It can be activated in the kernelAdiutor settings(Activation at your risk -Unstable-)
(if you see problems turn it off)
Rom works very well no problem with Google applications.
All changes are added to the Rom PixelExperience_gemini-8.1.0-20180207-1435-OFFICIAL
Thank you for Rom dev "Dzienny" everything and its merit that brought us this beautiful CustoRom - I have only contributed with small changes.
Seen so many problems that are created by installing kernel and Root reported by many users.

You can try but I did a clean installation as I described. I recommend installing from OTG:good:
So my friend the correct is to install the twrp that you made available, format data, system, date, davilk cache and also I will format the internal to stay a clean installation, then copy back the rom files and install miui global zip and then the zip pixel, because in your tutorial this is a little confusing the installation process please clarify please thank you.

Then I'll write to you as I did
1. I installed the TWRP Patched
2. Format data
3. wipe cache data, date, system, cust e (internal memory because I have a flash drive)
4. Using OTG with a flash drive I installed PixelExperienceMod_deiwid63
If you do not have the flash drive after formatted internal memory move ROM to internal memory and install, or do not format the internal memory.
Nice to see this. I love the pixel experience, but the last build is really buggy with the darkness kernel. You have added priima kernel again. This one has resolved the Google app FC which occurs in the original pixel experience rom?
Thanks,
This ROM is excellent. I've been using LOS15.1 for a while and your mod of PE with Priima kernel simply destroys LOS in battery life. No FC of the Google app as far as I can see.
I'm interested in what the rationale is behind masquerading as a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge?

This problem affects Google Camera, not Camera, which is included in the ROM - Next time you have to provide precise information.THX:good:

What's the difference between this and your other 15.1 rom? o:
Edit: I looked it up and it seems to be a faster version of oreo.
Its build with android go optimization flags, they was made for low end devices that you are able to run oreo also on 512mb and 1gb ram devices with good performance. Maybe (to be honest not enought tested) it helps also member who have 2gb ram devices. Apart of that change its the same and contains of course the same features and changes from my unoffical lineage 15.1.
About battery can not say anything for now, performance seems to be slightly better, some little optical changes will also faced e.g. in recent app menu where you find clear all button...
Test it on yourself and tell us if you feel any differences, every feedback is welcome
Sent from my athene using XDA Labs
I was hoping someone would try to make this. I'll have to charge up my G4 when I get back home later tonight to try this out. Thanks for the build!
The ROM is super smooth!! Thanks dev for this awesome ROM!
You've been cooking wonderful ROMs lately. I will try this one as soon as I can. Keep it up!
When I developed roms, I used this commit to vastly improve the use of RAM directly in the frameowrk, I bought the same link that applies in slimrom, I hope and you can include it in a new version
https://github.com/xperiafan13-rom/frameworks_base/commit/aa64012a667eb5f27f643517678da60aca99a981
Awesome work dev!
Is it stable enough to use as a daily driver?

Do I Need To Install Rom Again After Doing This? On First Step It Is After Installing & On Last Step It Is Follow How To Install,I Didn't Get It
And this rom is also lagging very badly in my Moto G4S plus. I am confused no Oreo room is running smoothly on my phone (lags in recents, app drawer, status bar and also in app opening animations). I have tried loony kernel with this goedition, it booted well but lags we're still there. And I tried without gapps I mean just the rom. Feels like I need to get a new device.

This part you can forget, cause you already done all needed steps, for what you want to reflash everything?
The rom is good, fast and stable but it has a thing called trust that disables my root access every time, I'm tired of flashing magisk and getting it disabled and i can't disable that "trust" thing. I reinstalled the rom twice but I can't use some apps that need root access that I use frequently.
