Will Remix os ever come to Normal Mtk tablets or rockship tablets - Supported Devices

Will remix is ever come to normal tablets like the Chinese ones ??
Sent from my Lenovo a5000 using XDA-Developers mobile app

My question exactly. I have a Ugoos UG007 II. Is someone porting/ported Remix OS to these RK3066 devices?

I have been using a Cube T9 for a long, long time. I too would love to use Remix. I have toyed with the idea of going with Windows 10 on a new tablet, but mainly for the ability to use multiple windows.
Hope one to see Remix on my tablet? Will it ever happen?

I doubt it. This is based on Android x86 (intel cpu architecture)
All the cpus you've listed are ARM.

Thanks.
I tried to boot 3.0.203 from USB but it hangs on a black screen with white "Remix OS" logo. However, I think it should be possible to boot into Remix at least. Maybe something went wrong when creating the boot medium. I will try it again when I have some time.

I am not sure what you mean by 'inside windows', as a virtual machine you mean? I only tried to directly boot the PC iso from an USB stick. I heard about this new Remix OS Player which runs inside windows, that might be an option.
Anyway I returned my X98 Pro because the battery lifetime was a joke, only 90 min of web browsing... but that's off topic.

The same tool that they have to install it in a usb stick, you can install it into the internal memory as a program,if you remember,2-3 years ago, ubuntu had the same thing with wubi.
I tried installing the teclast x98 plus rom on x98 pro and it worked, but has touchscreen issue (acts weird and really hard to use).
Wifi was working, havent checked bluetooth. battery wasnt working, it stuck at 0% and shuts down once u plug out the cable.
And also has a lot of granular noise on the screen ( could be due to the boot.img from teclast x98 plus - kernel issue??)

Support for GT-N8000?

Can you guys pls support Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000?
Thanks.............Much appreciated
Every android devices deserve Remix OS. GT-N8000 has a different processor. it may need Samsung to get involved for it to support.

Yeah, but the GT-N8000 is so capable.
I dont think Remix OS would nice on phones, unless the make it fit nicely.
Awesome idea, N8000 can run many different linux OS too. RemixOS will rock this tablet

I currently use OMNI ROM on my GT-N801x. The work has already been done to support the tablet. The Jide just needs to incorporate that work in their port to the tablet.
Yeah. Come on Jide. We need Remix OS for N8000

Remix 2.0 on Chuwi Hi12

According to this thread https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=223426&start=200
Remix 2.0 is available for the Chuwi 2.0
I have a dual-boot (Android/MS win10) Chuwi Hi12.
What would I gain, other than a MS win10-like UI, by adding Remix?
What complications may Remix introduce for long-term maintenance, and perhaps future app-selection, please?
Thanks - David
You should better ask here.

Hi David,
I bought a Chuwi Hi12 some months ago after crashing the W10 on a Teclast X98 Plus. Worked nicely for some months although I saw some BSD's right from the beginning. But then it started to reboot (with BSDs) several times a day. So I decided what the heck throw off W10 and go for Remix 2.0. So I flashed Remix 2.0 on an enlarged partition (gpt.bin from X98 Plus) and now I am running Remix as the only OS on my Chuwi Hi12. Looks good, feels good and does not reboot every few hours, so it was W10 which could not handle the Chuwi hardware.
Regards,
[BUMP]
I would like to buy an inexpensive, large tablet, but I don't want Windows 10.
The Chuwi H12 meets my hardware requirements (Good resolution, Stereo speakers, real USB ports even without keyboard dock, USB charging).
and Deal eXtreme still has them in stock.
I see the official remix OS 2.0 firmware on the Chuwi forums, but it does not look like there are/will be any up dates.
Are there any updates?
What works, and what does not?
Is there any hope of the rumored Chuwi Remix 12 pro? (or another Remix 3.0 device?)
Can I fall back to Ubuntu? What works and what does not (with current kernel/Ubuntu)
Yes, I've been Googling, but I don't see much in the way of current (last 6 months) articles. Has time already left this device behind? Has it left Remix OS behind?
Thanks for purchasing recommendations.
Here's Remix OS for various Chuwi devices. Hi12 is supported with compatibility patch.

That looks awesome ! I haven't bought my large tablet yet, but that looks like an awesome ROM. I see that you have a cyanogen too, as a fall-back.
I really like the Chuwi Hi12 with the 2 full size USB ports, "normal" (Micro USB) charging, and a great screen.
I am also considering some other 12" tablets that should support Remix, as well as Ubuntu 16.xx "out of the box". The availability of your ROM is a big plus for the Chuwi.
All it needs is a big Chewbacca sticker for the back :silly:
Has anybody noticed that Google translates "Chuwi" into "Out of"? Most of the Vendors seem to be "out of" the Hi12.
Techtablets on YouTube has info on the new 13inch Chuwi tablet that is just about to hit the market. Just like the Hi12, it's only being released with a single Windows10 platform to start with. It's a brilliant review outlet on YouTube, I suggest those that have not seen it should give it a view.
Try Cyanogenmod 12.1, works best with it.

BIOS Updates are always risky bro.
Don't do it if you don't know the risks.
Myself I updated the bios without problem on my hi12 dualboot

[REQ] Remix OS for Nexus 7 2013

Hi there,
Request to have Remix OS for our Google/Asus Nexus 7 2013 tablets... thanks for having it in mind!
Me too, it should be great on this device
Me too
Me too
Love this tablet and like your OS. Can you make this possible, please ?
Unfortunately it wouldn't boot reMix os requires at least the ability to sustain x86 . In tablet terms this means intel processor which amounts to way less than 1% of the current market. Remix os is far easier to load on pc anyway. If you have an old laptop its the way togo soon it will run crossover

Can anyone port Sailfish OS ?

This is a good OS with a very different UI. Fun to use.
I used it in Redmi 4x previously. Bad sadly, for A2 lite, no one ported it yet. Just in case if you don't know, this OS can run android apps thought it is completely a different operating system.
As far as I know, porting this rom is same as porting an android OS... So if anyone can, please give a try... We will be thankful!

That would be cool if someone could port it for this device I agree. But SFOS only runs android apps on official devices such as Jolla C or a couple of Sony phone , xperia x or xperia xa2. I own the xperia x running SFOS 3 and it really is a great is. Great alternative if some is trying to get away from google.
