So,
Latest (yesterdays) B330 bugfix update gimped Themes into oblivion, and every icon is now "rounded".
How do we get rid of the compulsory rounding of each icon?
Each icon gets a TV box with suboptimal visual experience, and not even Spectrum Pure gets rid of it.
My eyes are bleeding every time I look at my Huawei,
Please help.
Search for the thread "Stockify your honor 7" (or something like that) here on XDA, someone made a guide on how to make your Honor look like a Nexus. In the thread, he gave a link to download a theme where icons aren't rounded

EDIT: This was an epic fail actually. Huawei seems to have hardcoded the TV-boxing of icons in the new update.
It still looks like ****. Build number is PLK-L01C432B330.

Found the issue.
Rebooting doesn't help after applying Spectrum Pure. You have to switch launchers, or force close them.

Hello, i fix this before on my G Play Mini, I had deleted the "icons" file on /system/themes , and just the not themed icon of the .hwt used stays as is, without that horrible background.

To tell the truth life without this advice wouldn't be the same.
Every time I was looking at my icons I was telling myself "In fact I really like this ugly here & there EMUI" ;p This Spectrum Pure script manipulation isn't solution elegant enough for me so I was left my ugly icons.
So do not mess with Chinese ;p but sometimes the best way to handle is to take away the icons from them ;p
If there would be also the way to change this colorful status bar left-side icons + make smaller and nicer those settings panel icons + some changes to lock screen display one could even say that EMUI is quite pretty.

it's a mix betwenn blinkfeed and standard android style...
icon is a mix of blackberry, android, rounded sense design...
if you have a sense ROM, you can't do this (you can but you will make your device laggy), if you have an CM ROM then you can manage a launcher and find a good themer...
But you will loose some of effect from ONe2 concept...

Yes VRthemeing should be fine. in odex rom resources ie icons images are still in apk only code is in .odex file. you can still change images. I believe
or you share PM the icons i will make VRTheme package.

I face same problem on my Z1 also the button (home, recent,back) didn't change still like original I mean the theme didn't change it

Have you tried to reboot or restart systemUI?
The only missing thing on my Z1 is the clock on lockscreen, but i can live without it
Could you select a different color for the system ui? I really don't like a gray color... Can you pick a color something like the color of home screen wallpaper?

The theme isn't supposed to change the home button What you see on the screenshot is the eXistenZ home button

A theme with a dark, aosp green colour of the standard LG theme would be nice ?. Basically as the LG theme is but just dark with aosp green accents on the quick settings etc?..
Something orange or red maybe... Black and orange/red or maybe grey and orange/red?
Just snagged charcoal off the play store... Nice job

I havent done an orange...I did black and red with ravished..
I dont own the phone, so its a little more challenging for me to make these..Luckily i have a good tester. And these arent that much different than the v20 an g5 theme. bunch more files that need touched..
But I will see what I can make for you guys.
OK, so I ended up just ordering a G6 today. should be here in a few days. So that should speed up development a bit. I can get all my v20 themes here and maybe start a few new.
Im working on a green/teal now. should be another day or two. hard telling. there are a lot of new lines in the G6 vs the v20

Good Morning xda and emui users, im here again maybe some guys from emui 5/8 know me and my themes anyway today share another personal Emui 9 Dark theme extracted source from my beloved Mate 20 (not pro but i think work fine) well you know the dark mode is only avaiable for huawei amoled device so i decided to build one .
almost all system files are themed
and as usual will do the possible i can for some google apps like:whatsapp/and gplus
installation instructions: download theme hwt file and put in Huawei/themes folder then open theme manager and navigate to your themes chose it and install after installation is done reboot your device .

so will work on fix and news when have time
Bugs? well theme should good but some glitch probabily here,if you find one simply post in the thread whit screenshoot and will try to solve

fixed the damn bug "Reply/Mark as Read"
but pay attention:this is a bug for individual app.....
bug is fixed for:whatsapp/Gmail/Google Message/Telegram

Using the Dark Notification version, I noticed 2 bugs only. I hope this can be fixed soon. Tyvm for ur hard work!
Weather app notification and download manager notification appears to be white.
Every other notification is dark or black except for the 2 I mentioned. Download Manager for when I am downloading something on PlayStore and of course, the weather notification by Google

The part where. Clean up or storage the icons or the letters. Is written downward, hard to see, can you make it like the one in deep black or red devil if only, if you can't that would be fine. Atill a big fan of your work. Thanks a lot.
Well now that's a great dark theme, love it. I'd only recommend removing the semi transparency on notification panel.
