TWRP+ROOT for Marshmallow 6.0.1 S6 G9208 (Taiwan Version) - Galaxy S6 Original Android Development

So its been a long time since we wait for root on our S6 Taiwan Version Latest version 6.0.1
Today I flashed my phone to the latest official version of Taiwan 6.0.1 G9208ZTU2DPD1, flashed the TWRP then via TWRP flashed SUPERSU and finally got root. I just got these from a chinese site apk.tw
So first we should download on our pc :
1-The latest official rom for taiwan from this direct link or from sammobile.com
HTML:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B15wMPEgxdTjR1dsY1VWTEZYWHM/view
2-Odin
3-TWRP
HTML:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B15wMPEgxdTjZ09RSElKUEJOOWc/view
Now we must follow these steps to
Flash the official Marshmallow
-Extract (unzip) the firmware file
-Open Odin
-Add the firmware file to AP
-Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
-Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
-Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
-Click start and after it finishes wait till it reboots to Marshmallow
After it boots up download the latest SuperSu from Chainfire
HTML:
https://download.chainfire.eu/960/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.72-20160510112018.zip
Go back to Download Mode (pressing and holding Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Now we flash the TWRP
-Open Odin
-Add the TWRP file to AP
-Click start and wait till it reboots
To get root rights we do those final steps
Turn off the phone
Press and hold Home + Power + Volume Up buttons to enter recovery
Since its chinese in the first screen you just need to slide
After you slide go to Download
Select BETA-SuperSU-v2.72-20160510112018.zip
Slide it again
And touch the button to the right to reboot
Once ur phone boots up u should be rooted
any question feel free to ask
It would be nice if our developers can manage to give us a english twrp theme or even better a official twrp for our phone, anyway we thank them
Cheers

Thank you ,
how to set selinux selinux permissive ?

Unable to get TWRP running
I have a chinese version SM-G9208 (never buy android in China since it doesn't come with any google services or apps).
Previously, I was able to root and install gapps. Unfortunately something happened a month ago and it was bootlooping.
I have been able to reinstall the official Android 6.0.1 using Smart Switch.
I have succeeded in rooting but have not been able to get TWRP install. I want to flash gapps.
I have tried using Odin and the files from TWRP website, I have tried the offical TWRP app and the TWRP manager app, and various versions of TWRP for zeroflte such as twrp-3.0.2 to twrp-2.8.6.
Using I get the recovery is not SEAndroind enforcing or I get caught in a bootloop. Once i saw the TWRP recovery screen but the screen was frozen.
I have read as many forum entries as I can to find a solution.
It looks like TWRP is the most likely candidate to be able to flash gapps. How can I get twrp to work? Is there an alternative to get gapps installed, most of the "installer" apks I have tried to not work.
Any have any success at this?
I should mention, the taiwan ROM does not work for Chinese phones as expected

[SM-P607] TWRP install issue (recovery boot loop)

Hi all, looking for some help here.
I picked up a pair of P607's to install Lineage on.
1. I flashed (via ODIN) the latest Samsung factory build from Sam Mobile (Now running 5.1.1).
2. Grabbed the latest TWRP tar file (twrp-3.1.1-0-lt03ltexx.img.tar)
3. Flashed TWRP via ODIN (AP button, selected the twrp tar, unchecked auto-reboot)
4. Held power button and turned off.
5. Powered back on and Held the [home - vol up - pwr] to boot into recovery to check TWRP.... and..... Recovery Boot Loop.
Odly enough, if I get it back into download mode and just boot it normally, it will boot fine back into the OS (stock rom, not lineage yet)
I can recover back to the factory by re-flashing the stock rom again, so it's recoverable.
I've tried with two different 3.1 TWRP versions now, twrp-3.1.0-0-lt03ltexx.img.tar and twrp-3.1.1-0-lt03ltexx.img.tar, both do the same thing.
Any ideas on this one?
There's definitely some odd issues with TWRP for this device...
3.1.1 Failed
3.1.0 Failed
3.0.2 Worked and boots into TWRP
Would be nice to get the latest TWRP working for this device, anyone interested in logs from the 3.1.0 or 3.1.1 attempts?
how did you get out of the boot loop? i cant seem to get back in to download mode

Today I got the same bootloop problem.
Impossible to enter the Download-Mode.
I removed carefully the Backcover and disconnect the battery plug for some seconds.
On the next start I´m holding down Vol- and entered Download Mode.
With Odin I flashed TWRP 3.0.2.0 (same version like before) and its working again without loosing the installed programs.
I think you can also wait until the battery is empty .....
Hope it helps a bit to recover a great tablet.

Most ROMs here install fine with 3.0.2. That's what I am using on my 607T.

[Tab Pro 10.1 SM-T520] Unresponsive trying to flash lineage OS

Hi all, I am new to the forum so bear with me!
I recently rooted my Tab Pro 10.1 as it was becoming unusably slow, and I wanted to lighten it a little. Root was successful, and I downloaded lineage OS from the dev forum to flash onto my device using TWRP manager. However, after trying this my device now boots to the Samsung model number page (first screen), then goes blank. If I hold down the power button it powers off, but restarts and does the exact same thing. I hope I haven't done irreparable damage, seeing as it can still seemingly start and I can also boot into download mode (not bricked).
My question basically is, is there a way to "undo" my failed flash attempt and return my device to a "normal" rooted device using odin, seeing I can access download mode?
Many thanks in advance!
Craig
Use twrp 3.0.0.0 afterwards flashing the rom, flash gapps
If u wanna go back to stock, just flash the stock ROM (download from sammobile) via odin

Thanks for your response.
The problem is I can't boot the device past the model startup screen to begin using TWRP and flashing, as the screen black and unresponsive (I can get into download mode). Do you suspect if I flash the stock ROM using Odin I will get back to where I started?
If you wanna go for lineage os, go to download mode and flash twrp 3.0.0.0 with odin, reboot to recovery and wipe system, cache, dalvik. Now flash ROM and gapps.
Back to stock? Just flash stock ROM via odin after first boot go to recovery and do a factory reset

hello
press vol+ pwr home buttons together u are in dowload mode
use autoroot with odin (all necessary files are there)
3.xxxx does't work correctly with t520
regards
Thanks all for your help - I have eventually got sorted in the end.
I was able to flash TWRP 3.0.0.0 onto my device with Odin, then booted into recovery mode (PWR + Vol up), wipe everything (except internal memory) and flash the most up to date lineage file I had downloaded prior to the process. Device working well now, just downloaded and flashed the relevant GAPPs and all in working order.

Root sgh-i747 with 4.4.2 Android

All of the threads I've been able to find to root this device seem to be out of date. I've tried several but each time I seem to wind up on a page saying the file is no longer available. Can anyone give me a link or method to root that is current?
Preferred method used to be:
1) store a supersu.zip on the phone.
2) flash TWRP with Odin, be sure to uncheck auto-reboot, pull battery on success
3) boot straight into TWRP with vol up + home + power (if you boot into unrooted system it will overwrite TWRP with stock recovery)
4) make a TWRP backup, just in case something goes wrong
5) flash supersu with TWRP then reboot to system
I haven't rooted stock on this phone in ages, but unless something has changed with newer versions of supersu this should work fine. Magisk might work too, but I haven't tried it on anything but custom roms with the i747.

Thanks. Also solved my problem with TWRP getting over-written.

{GUIDE} - fix for being stuck at samsung boot screen due to rollback protection

Hi all I have been tinkering away and destrying my setup left right and centre to sort this process out but if you're unable to run the latest TWRP for your note from Ian and get stuck at SAMSUNG screen on boot then this process will fix that if followed correctly. This is due to the device's roll back protection.
This process will reset everything back to current date and get everything working on the new Oneui 2.1 base
Process for getting round SAMSUNG screen issue - please read through first and get the files you need before starting. I did this on my N976B but in theory it should work for other 10-range devices, notes indeed!
UNLESS YOUR RUNNING CRUEL KERNEL OR A SPIN OFF, YOU'LL NEED VOL UP AND POWER TO ACTIVATE MAGISK ON EACH BOOT
Needed:
Stock firnware
Magisk app
Twrp image
Pc and odin also patience and a brain lol
-Return to stock by flashing AP/BL/CP&CSC in odin
-Reboot and confirm oem unlocking greyed out, install magisk app and patch twrp image from Ian, also patch your ap file.
-reboot to download, meanwhile get the magisk_patched.tar and insert TWRP renamed as recovery.img in place of the stock patched recovery (keep this one for later)
-In download mode and with auto reboot off in odin, flash BL, Magisk_patched.tar(with the TWRP from Ian in), CP & HOMECSC.
-When flashing is complete exit download mode and immediately hold power and vol up and hold until on TWRP slider screen. swipe to allow modifications, format internal storage and flash multidisabler.
-Reboot TWRP and backup your current patched stock rom. FLASH THE STOCK PATCHED RECOVERY YOU SAVED EARLIER AND THEN FLASH MULTIDISABLER (THIS IS IMPORTANT AS YOU WILL THEN BE ABLE TO INSTALL TWRP VIA THE APP WITHOUT HAVING TO REFORMAT INTERNAL)
-Reboot straight to stock recovery (reboot from TWRP and hold Vol up and power until in stock recovery) and factory reset then reboot.
-You should now boot up as normal, setup your device, in particular have TWRP app and Magisk set up and running.
-Flash the Unpatched TWRP for your device in the TWRP app - reboot TWRP and check the box to kill that annoying swipe to allow modifications and then you are good to flash whatever rom or kernel you want for your device!
Flash the stock patch recovery as boot??

Excellent, thanks for testing!!!!!!!
@askmydas
you may find this useful - follow this to get your sec date reset then follow the process spelt out in the thread of the rom you want to use as you may need a different TWRP depending on what sec date the chef of your chosen rom uses.
Hey, when I get to " FLASH THE STOCK PATCHED RECOVERY YOU SAVED EARLIER" I try to do this and it tells me I don't have enough space. Any ideas?

I worked it out, I was trying to install "recovery.img" to boot partition, "recovery.img" needs to be installed to RECOVERY partition. Silly me. Fixed it now, but have a new issue:
After I flash unpatched twrp image through the app, now my phone will only boot into TWRP. I don't even boot with recovery button presses, but it will still boot into TWRP only. Any ideas?
I know this is an old thread, but it may be that my solution could help someone who is locked on the outside of the device (softbrick)
TD,DR: If you have softbrick and you can't boot the device at all, try flashing via Odin the BL, CP, CSC from a stock rom and the AP of another completely different stock rom.
I had an IMEI 0000 issue on my Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N950F), using Hades Rom (custom), and I needed to install the stock rom. As I was on the F(15) binary, there were only two roms (SamMobile and Stockrom.net) available for my country (Brazil) with this binary:
N950FXXUFDUD6_N950FOXMFDUD6_ZTO
stockrom.net_N950FXXUFDUG5_N950FOXMFDUG4_ZTO
And a via Frija:
SM-N950F_1_20210717024140_0wmgsx8iwf_fac
And no Combination Rom for that binary
After flashing these roms several times, I was always stuck on the “Powered by Google” screen, even doing cache wipe and factory reset through stock recovery several times. So I flashed the N950FOXMFDUD6, flashed the CF-Auto-Root and was able to boot the device. Once inside I noticed that it didn't solve the problem of IMEI 0000. I tried a few more procedures, ended up restarting to install TWRP, and the OEM is closed!!! (OEM OFF, Prenormal). I start getting the message “only official binaries are allowed to be flashed(recovery)”. I flash the stock rom, but it gets stuck on “Powered by Google” again. I tryed to install CF-Auto-Root and I get the message “only official binaries…” I can't log into the device anymore. So after four days of desperation, trying every technique possible, trying to create the Combination Rom by unzipping the AP file from the stock Rom and modifying the files inside, without success, I finally try a procedure I haven't seen anywhere else: I go to the modified Odin: Odin3_v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD, I selected the BL, CP, CSC files from the N950FOXMFDUD6 rom and the AP file from the rom SM-N950F_1_20210717024140_0wmgsx8iwf_fac
And it worked! I can boot the device

Boot into TWRP after updating to version 3.1.1 SM-T210

Hi Everyone,
I have a Galaxy Tab 3 (SM-T210 / lt02ltespr) which I am ultimately trying to get Zoom running on.
I have been trying to install LineageOS version 16 which won't install as version 3.0 of TWRP is too old. I have tried various ways of updating TWRP to version 3.1.1 none of which have allowed me to load into TWRP to install LineageOS (holding Power + Home + Volume Up). I've tried installing through the TWRP app and also installing it via TWRP 3.0 to the recovery partition in boot mode but in both cases I've not managed to get back into TWRP after a power off and holding Power + Home + Volume Up. I have tried Using Odin (both Version 3.04 and version 3.14 to install the latest version of TWRP for the device downloaded from their website but Odin crashes during the MD5 check so that route has never been successful for me.
If there is another way of installing LineageOS from within the main os after updating TWRP that would be amazing or some way of getting the TWRP file I have on my PC not to crash either version of Odin during the MD5 check that would also be great.
Thanks for your help.
