WELCOME TO CYANIDE M
ROM INFORMATION
Cyanide is a continuation of VRToxin project!
Cyanide M is the brainchild of XDA member @rogersb11. Based on CyanogenMod, and packed full of features from the wonderful customROM teams we have all come to know and love. This ROM is just getting started and I will update frequently as things progress along into the beast we know this will be.
I will hold no responsibility if you didn't flashed the ROM properly and are facing bugs due to your modifications to the system files.Want to help me with something? You're welcome for helping out with bugs and issues - - but make sure you have that logcat with you before posting in this thread.Post all your questions/requests/screenshots in the Q/A thread.I won't tolerate any OT posts in this development thread.
GOOGLE PLUS COMMUNITY - This is where you will find the latest changelogs and other info and discussion about Cyanide M ROM. Device specific changes I will always list right here in the thread. But general changelogs will always be posted in the G+ community.

I hate being crass, but after dealing with so many repeat moronic questions, I felt like I should go ahead and state this now.
Thank you and enjoy!!

I am not trying to make you angry but, Is Cyanide has a theme engine?, and is it better that RR rom.
Please don't get angry by my question.

Lol man I'm not at all an angry person...that reply on RR thread was because I was having a really bad day..I'm sorry for that
There is no theme engine.....You can colour any part of the system from the ROM itself and also layers work (partially)
it depends on how you define better...this ROM has more features than RR for sure and can say that its stable as I'm using it since 2 days

Downloading right now. Will posy opinion later

Absolutely loved VRToxin but the Wifi drop once in deepsleep killed it for me,charging was slow aswell.Flashing Cyanide now to see if it is fixed (one can hope,eh?),thank you for your work

It is better than DU?

Not to be demanding @srisurya95

Mostly no because I'm already maintaining many ROMs
Infinitive os is just another ROM with the same features of the ROMs which I already maintain so there is no point

Awesome! Glad to have you here bud!
Glad to see this ROM here!
Looks nice! Q: the DL link is okay for the att s4? I didn't see any specific reference for this phone so wasn't sure. Also wondering if I'd need to also flash a kernel specific to this phone.. sorry for the naive questions..

Nope. Just the ROM. The JFLTE builds are compatible with all S4 variants except i9500.
Hot damn is this ROM running smoothly,
I have yet to find a single flaw, just gotta
try HDMI and see if that works too and I'm
a damn happy camper! :highfive:
Been running this all day. Awesome ROM with all the goodies + stable as a mug!!

Nope. It's automatically loki-patches the kernel for all locked bootloader variants. So you may flash away.
This ROM has everything I need and it's running smoothly! Excellent work. The only request I'd have is the return of an option for the old, standard recent apps switcher, but that's just a personal thing.

One word......... Excellent!!! When I find an issue to report I will, but so far everything is working flawlessly.
HDMI works very well.
Still no bugs to report since last night.
I know I saw somewhere, that art either will not work with this rom or it's not recommended, but has anyone tried running with it?
I've used art on virtually every kit kat rom I've run and have only had an issue with the most recent aicp build.
Thanks in advance
This ROM is intense. Packed full of features. Halo, Pie, Omniswitch, etc
Went back to CM11 but not because this is a bad ROM, it just was not for me. Very overwhelming for me. I prefer a light AOSP experience.
Also, the only bug I found was the whole system went to a crawl after enabling Nav bars. And they took a whole second to respond to touches.
Hi gals, just a quick question here.
Im currently in stock 4.2.2 just rooted.
In order to install this rom ¿i need to flash another modem or something aditional?
I just have 2 days whit my S4, cheers for the help!

XMultiwindow works too XD
Took this for a test drive last night and love it!
Once Art is working, will immediately test this out for a daily driver---
In the meantime, I will obsessively check this link several times a day everyday
.
Anyone having problems with the camera? Like are all the features working? Cause the camera is pretty important to me so I have been sticking to Google edition Roms because the cameras are guaranteed to work on them. I have had bad experiences with cameras on AOSP Roms sorry for doubting the experience.
Thank you!

Cool something new to try. Thanks for all the work!
Terrific job guys, i look forward to having some time to try this out!
Just so you know, the formatting of the page gets messed up on Tapatalk. Not sure if anything can be done to resolve, just wanted to let you know [emoji3]
Yay new lolli Rom to try.
Thanks !
Working terrifically thus far. A few things i would like to note:
1. The vibration is WAY more aggressive than other ROMs. By default it is set to like 1200 and even then it's violent. The problem is that if you turn it down, text/call vibrate is so soft you cant feel it but if it's up too high - texting is crazy. I changed the vibe intensity on the Google Keyboard but it's not ideal.
2. The keyboard is quite laggy. I downloaded the Google Keyboard from the play store but even that isn't working very well. The KB from GPE is very smooth and i thought that's the one from the Play Store so i've got to be missing something. will continue to dig but just thought i'd share.
-- Update: the Google Keyboard from the play store is much smoother. But the vibration "issue" seems to give the illusion of lag. Maybe it's just me...?
Thank you again for your hard work guys!
Awesome! Nice to see another option for lollipop roms.
Will definitely try this out when I get a chance
Theme Engine?
Got excited when I saw CM11 ThemeEngine in the features. I'm guessing that is just a typo?

After I flashed this, gapps, and su I booted up fine but the setup wizard crashed, so I rebooted and same thing... Any suggestions or maybe I'm missing something? Thanks

Seems like this ROM doesn't like certain g apps. When I installed this ROM and flashed one set of gapps. I had everything but play store. So I downloaded another one and reflashed everything. It installed everything.
That said this is a great ROM which is smooth and quick and found a lolli ROM to replace lolli gpe ROM with the SMS issue. Will see how battery life is over the next few days. So far everything is great. Nice to see more lolli ROMs coming to our phones even when we don't have an official lolli release from HTC/Verizon yet. Thanks for the great work

Just an FYI.... Santod is waiting to update his gpe build because HTC should be releasing their update to fix the button backlights and maybe the SMS problem. He sees no point in making an update to it and then most likely having to port the new base that is right around the corner. It sucks that some of you have that issue but there isn't much he can do about that particular issue.
New builds in op
Same link but now you have the standard & dark UI editions to choose from. candy5-RC.v0.9.2
In the OP it states in features .. DarkUI / dialer, MMS etc... I flashed the darkui version of this ROM but still have white dialer, MMS etc... Is there a way to make those dark yet or am I too soon?

Actually the framework/base is the only think dark ATM. I thought I had the updated features list but obviously was wrong! It has been removed for now.
EDIT: Yes it is too soon as things have not been fixed yet for dark everything. Coming soon as we get it tho.

I saw a couple other things. This first one might be a CM bug, BBS says WiFi is using battery even though WiFi is turned off. Second the the font is black for the options.
I don't have that problem with WiFi. The team knows about the black text.. Not that big of an issue.. Concentrating on 5.1

****READ - There is a video problem with this ROM that makes it rather unstable if you try to watch videos (youtube ETC.)I will look into this more when I have some time.If you want something similar I recommend AOKP *****
This is AOSP with RRO/LAYERS for the G800F.
I have been using this ROM for just a short time, but I must say I really like it.This may end up being my ROM of choice.RRO Layers are fairly cool and I personally like them more than the CM theme engine. If I do decide to stick with this ROM I will probably add things I like, compile with a better toolchain, kernel tweaks etc. I was going to wait to upload this until I did these things, but I figure some would prefer this version.I will keep this version up always even if I do "customize" this in the future.
Anyway,on with it...
What is AOSP?
AOSP (Android Open-Source Project) is the project with the open-source parts of Android. It's used as a base by anyone who wants to build or customize an Android ROMs.
What is RR Layers
Layers is a extension of runtime resource overlay.
RRO is a framework created by sony for use as a way for them to create xperia themes but also for internal quick prototyping.

***WARNING***
-READ CAREFULLY!!
YOU FLASH THIS ROM AT YOUR OWN RISK.I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR DUE TO THE FLASHING OF THIS ROM.
I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST DATA,BRICKED PHONE,OR ANYTHING OF THE SUCH.(PHONE EXPLODES,OVERHEATS ETC)
THIS ROM IS ONLY FOR THE S5 MINI SM-G8OOF (Exynos) DO NOT FLASH THIS ON ANY OTHER DEVICE!

I have to assume that it is as CM13 is for the F/M/Y. I cannot say with 100% certainty though as I know nothing about the M/Y variants.
Either way,I advise you to not flash this until I sort out some issues with this ROM.I recommend AOKP if you want something similar for now.
@spookcity138 maybe you can port Android Ice Cold Project (AICP) to G800F? it is a good rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/orig-development/rom-aicp-10-0-t3234747

This ROM is broken. I have spent way more time on this than I wanted to trying to fix the video problem, only to end up making things worse. Therefore, I am going to be removing this project.
My builds of AOKP and Slimrom are similar enough to this ROM that I no longer wish to spend time on this. Sorry if that's a problem for anyone.
This is just a heads up before I remove this in a day or two [emoji2]

Android. Infused with magical unicorn bytes
The unicorn eats nougat and farts rainbows
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Why shouldn´t it be possible to flash superSU? It´s no problem on AOSP roms and shouldn´t be one on AOKP. Use latest superSU 2.78.
