Fantastic to see RR come to 5X! Great work and thanks a ton, will test it tonight when I am home and give feedback BTW, is it safe to assume that the finger print sensor is not yet working? It is a known issue and we are aware of the constraints devs are working with to get these ROMs working for our devices. However, the number of users so keen to have the "FP ready" ROM is too huge, and the thread might get bombarded with repeat questions on the topic.......just wanted to get it out of the way before someone comes asking for it again like in all other ROM threads
BTW, is it safe to assume that the finger print sensor is not yet working?

Yes. The sensor does not work yet.
I did not fix it. Do not know much at this.

No problem whatsoever, the sensor can work when it does it's not the most important thing in any way at all for the phone to be used to its potential!

Could not wait until I got home to test this.......First impressions here
- Amazingly fluid for a first iteration, buttery smooth, no FCs, no app errors, perfectly working ROM!!
- beautiful customization options - just wanted to ask, can use Xposed along with the existing framework too? A few things i miss are placing the data traffic indicator to the left side, secondary signal color etc
- Both Sims working for calls, no problems with Wifi, Bluetooth
- Mobile Data is working on both sims, however, users may need to go into card settings and select the correct APN. I have vodafone 4G and no APN was selected so I didnt get mobile data working right away after set up. It started working once I selected the correct APN in the Sim cards setting.
- DPI setting is too high, too large icons for my taste, so an option to change DPI within the settings without having to modify build.prop will be good
Edit - found DPI option under display
- Google account setup took a couple of retries, it constantly said "There was an error" and i cleared data for Playstore (am using Pico Gapps) and rebooted, it worked after a couple of tries.
- TB threw up a possible SU Binary error, is possible to use the normal Super SU? Didnt find any way to update the binary
- there is a # icon next to signal bars, no idea what it was except I found deep in settings it is an indicator to say SU is active good job! We can know if any apps un-warrantedly use SU permissions!
- The customization options are just endless!!!!
Overall, its a kicka** ROM! Great work and thanks again for making this beautiful piece of hardware meaningful by this excellent software!

Also I use TB. I got this message for all custom roms (Based on CM). Not only on this phone. Zero consequences, TB works everywhere correctly.

Yes, you are right. all data restored successfully with no errors
But one other bug of sorts I found, uninstalling system apps with Titanium Backup but they come back after a reboot, ex: I have swiftkey, PlayerPro etc so i uninstall the Android Keyboard and the default music app.....but after a reboot, these apps come right back
I loved the RR on my Galaxy Grand and I'm so happy to see RR come to the Honor 5X. The developers are doing an excellent job bringing all these new ROMs to our device. I think our device is getting Nexus level of development for a non-Nexus. Thanks @maxprzemo for this!

Backup applications in TB
Settings >> Configurations >> Miscellaneous >> System App Remover . This option can handle this.

Yes, agree on the battery life being great. I've had one full charge going a full day, with continuous 4G on, all background sync active, messaging and online zynga games with intermittent calls music and other local gaming. I feel the overnight drain is a bit high, it dropped about 18% from 72 to 54 overnight.
What seems to be helping the battery is also the "auto screen off" - smart case thing, if you will, I have a flip cover (no the smart one, just a regular FidesBox one) and as soon as I close the flip screen turns off and when i open the flip screen turns on......it is kind of saving the screen being on and the device going to sleep immediately when not in use.

Thanks, tried that, but the apps I removed keep coming back after a reboot
I am loving this rom so much, but I have one big issue the phone reboots whenever I get a call. anyone else having the issue?

i edit the installation instructions my mistake, evry 3.0.x.x is okay.

This ROM make my mini suffer from the Robotic Voice .. That's a deal breaker for me .. So I'm back with BlissRom after and hour trying this Rom .. To bad with that voice problem cause it looks great!

Could be .. Only few numbers does sound Robotic .. So maybe you just haven't called anybody where this would come up?
I call some numbers at the government to provoke this issue .. Seems to be a problem with LTE/4G (voLTE - Voice Over LTE / Wrong frequency band maybe)
It's not like it's something wrong with my provider .. It is a problem with these releases .. Do not have the issue with CM12.1, BlissRom and a Droid Thunder release showing build 13.0-20160130-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte .. !?
It could very likely be a compatible problem with Danish providers and CM13 .. BUT this can obvious be corrected when working flawlessly on some Roms !?

I think it's only, if you chose "OK Google" detection from everythere. turn it of reboot and try if is the issue still present.
Of bugs, missing item to disable the backlight buttons. Is there some patch or script or program to disable the backlight? (Google translation)

I tried the beanstalk but it only stayed on the splash screen for a solid 10 minutes. Will let you know on this one as soon as its available.

How's the brightness on Resurrection Remix for the HTC 10 compared to a stock based ROM (Viper10)? On my LG G3, all non-stock based ROMS (AOSP ROMS like Ressurection Remix for the LG G3for example), the screen wasn't as bright compared to a stock based ROM (Fulmics) Another question. Would the Pnp and thermal mods work for Resurrection Remix for the HTC 10?
Well here goes nothing. Moved everything to external memory so i am going to wipe everything. I will report back in a few.

would be nice if you include this in OP to give a headsup for users who are flashing that these are test builds...
I tried absolutely every wipe, format and changed data filesystem. No combo of any sorts got it to boot. Once again I have the sprint version but I suspect it would boot just fine for other versions with the same problems already noted in the other threads. I don't think any sprint version of the aosp roms have booted yet. Still willing to help out any way I can. I will try again tomorrow and see if I can get any log for not booting. Thanks eliminator and once again it's nice seeing you and your work again.
Gonna test in a few. Will be back with an update.
I'm on US Unlocked and T-Mobile. Rom boots up fine. I have data and signal. Currently, the audio does not work I cannot hear any sounds. This includes phone calls. This Rom is based off of CM and will inherantely have the same problems. So for everyone looking to flash, do your homework first. If the problem exists in CM, don't expect a CM based Rom to not have the issue.

BTW i used with Bucks Elite kernel to just check and see of it impacted sounds and that was a negative. Remained the same.

A brief history
Altan started the Resurrection Remix ROM project in 2012 with android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich. It soon became the most popular ROM with its original Samsung Galaxy S2 thread being the most viewed thread on XDA-developers for many months. He continued the development of the ROM till android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
After a long break, Altan came back to development and started his work on Resurrection Remix with android 4.4.x Kitkat. In the initial stages of the newly based ROM, Shubhang joined Altan. He brought new ideas to the table, with an aim to perfect the ROM in every way. He gave a face-lift to the ROM, initiated a dedicated website, improved upon things and together with Altan, both are working their ass off, making Resurrection Remix one of the best custom android ROM experience you'll ever have.
With android Lollipop 5.0, Akhil, Brian, and Varun joined Altan, to make Resurrection Remix even more awesome, following with Andres with android Marshmallow 6.0.

How to flash:
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

This ROM is currently in Beta status. I know there are some issues. If you find something, trust in the fact that I more than likely already know about it and am working on resolving it.
Network location isn't working so you will have to set your time zone manually for now. LiveDisplay also uses network location so there may be times where it may be in Night mode when it shouldn't. You can either change this away from auto or manually change it or just have it off. It is very rare that it is set to night for me during the day, but has happened.
SnapDragon Camera is the stock camera. It works, but even though it shows 4K video it won't work in 4K mode, yet. It will tell you if you try. Use 1080p for now, but I'm working on 4K.
DO NOT FLASH SuperSU!!!!
It will cause you to go into a bootloop. You are warned!
Stock superuser does work even if its not our preferred option. Once other issues are resolved I'll look into this. Magisk works

Try to give it another quick swipe or two after the last one and it should have an additional vibration to let you know that it accepted your fingerprint.
Just tried this ROM late last night and I was about to be frustrated and remove it but because I tried this tip, I was able to register a fingerprint and then able to add 2 more... now the fingerprint icon shows up on the lock screen.

Faster swiping worked better for me than slower did and I registered the same finger multiple times. It can sometimes still be temperamental, but more often than not works great. I use my Moto360 as a trusted device so it wont lock when its paired, but this works as a great secondary option for me as I can unlock with my fingerprint with the screen off so it wakes unlocked.

Almost everything is working perfectly for me. Even little things like weather updates and flashlight shortcuts are all perfect. I wasn't expecting to be functioning so well after bouncing from Nougat ROM to ROM. Battery life is also great. Thanks! Happy and running perfectly on EPK2

Been a long time since I was on anything other than stock roms and even longer since anything by @thebroken. HTC Rezound days. So my question is which version of the Gapps seems to cause the least amount of issues for everyone. My initial was to grab the nano package but a little unsure. Don't know about anyone else but it's sluggish. Took forever to authenticate with Google, and phone was running hot, ended up restoring back to my old rom. Defiantly a fan of the pure Android experience. But hope this rom develops. Willing to try it again.

Yep I did, i set it to permissive which brought the CPU load down, but device was unresponsive from the get go, and took quite a while to download apps or even authenticate with Google to login to play store. I had LTE, and even tried on WiFi and same result. Was stuck on checking info after I entered in my creds.

Ok. I've been doing a lot of work on the kernel so in the next couple of days it should be more stable with better battery life.
Running tests right now and also looking into audio.
I was always able to install apps and everything once selinux was permissive and the rom settled a little.

I am not 100% sure but I believe you'll need the himaul build in the other m9 forum.
It is the same build except this one is just for VZW (cdma).

Again, I haven't seen the same signal issues on my phone but it is himawl also. So let me know.
I tested the camera from lockscreen and I believe that is intended by the RR team?
It seems like it anyways. When i used it, I swiped left then double tapped the gallery which had a lock icon on it and was brought back to the lockscreen.
Quick unlock works properly now. I tested with a pin, pattern, and password.
The new kernel includes several cpu governors. The best one I found was impulse.
I managed to get about 3 hrs of screen time over the course of 12 hrs i think it was.
Standby drain averaged about 1.5% per hour.
I had reports of chill governor working well also.

How do I enable normal root? In developer options there are only "disabled" and "adb only" settings for root.

Try to install magisk apk
Why if I installing magisk still haved fc any apk,but if I installing SuperSU are stable,maybe u can guide how to installing magisk in here,and this is my step to try installing magisk first I install rom,second I install open gapps,and the last I install magisk,and offcourse before do that I clean flash from twrp,thanks and sorry for bad English.

I tried this ROM and this stands as the best ROM I've tested so far out of the available ROMs for this phone. I, however have some questions.
1. Is there a way to keep notification LED from blinking after you've turned the screen on and then off? (without clearing the notification. In MIUI it does stop.)
2. I did an improper backup (basically just copied the whole "Downloads" folder to my PC before moving it back, as I did for other folders (Documents, Pictures etc.)) and somehow the phone doesn't detect the files/folders in that specific "Download" folder. Even did a whole wipe after clearing cache/data for the download manager failed and still, it doesn't detect the files. However, it detects the files in "Documents" and other folders just fine. Is there anything I can do to try and work around the problem?
3. The Internet is noticeably slow (when sending files in WhatsApp/Telegram or when downloading files) and I'm not sure if this is a known bug or there's some settings that I set wrong in my phone. I haven't restarted the router though, so perhaps that might fix the problem. But I'll keep the question here just in case someone else has the problem too.
4. I don't know how to get rid of this problem, where apps won't receive notifications after some time when the phone is in idle mode, until you manually launch it. How do I take care of this problem?

ive got a problem. if u can fix it i will be very happy. the problem i have is about magisk. if i try to install magisk 17.1 stable my phone gets stuck in bootloop and i have to flash magisk uninstaller. so please tell me how to fix that or please fix that in your rom. the only thing i know is that magisk is flashing the root in the boot storage or something like this but it affect my boot. thanks and have a good day

Issue: Front Camera won't work. I cant switch to front camera. Only back camera can be used. Others are all awesome.

I have decided to uninstall this ROM as numerous issues arose.
1. The Internet has gotten really unstable and would be really slow to the point that it's unusable at all and it's really infuriating.
2. The system would hang for a minute, every 5 minutes. Nothing's more infuriating than that.
3. Doesn't work well with Magisk.
Please try to avoid this ROM until the dev takes care of the problem.
