rename zip file to 2PSTIMG.zip and copy to external sdcard, then go to download mode and follow the instructions

Which file should I flash first and how please help I'm new to HTC products. I tried flashing twice but failed

2PSTIMG.zip Not Flashing Via Stock Recovery
@starbase64
Hi it i tried to flash the file in stock recovery on my HTC Desire 530 after renaming the file to 2PSTIMG.zip and placing the file on my memory card but in the htc download mode the following error is displayed in red writing with a white background:
19 RU_MAIN_VER_FAIL os-version in android-info missing or i
19 RU_MAIN_VER_FAIL os-version in android-info missing or i
FAIL19 RU_MAIN_VER_FAIL os-version in android_info missing or i
Could someone desperately help with this
Thank you in advance

Possible solution to revert back to stock
Sorry if this is too late but check out the HTC website:
ht tp : / / w w w. ht c. co m/us/support/ rom-downloads (fix spacing in the link because I can't post links yet, got a newbie account)
*This process requires that you download and install HTC Sync Manager first in order to get the proper drivers (provided in the link as well).
I haven't tried this yet, but I also need to revert back to stock and I just downloaded the file and will follow the instructions next to HTC Desire 530 download link provided by HTC.
Good luck.

Tried flashing the boot.img and ended up with a bootlooping! Is the upload corrupt?
Edit : fixed - ish managed to flash boot from my backup but that must mean I am running the wrong boot.img to get the latest update (1.22.401.1 I think )

This rom is htc desire d503u or not?

I relocked and then unlocked the bootloader to see if something happens. After the unlock process the phone booted and I checked the firmware version, it was 1.21 and the ruu was 1.01 that's why I couldn't flash the ruu but it's ok now I've already sold the phone and bought a galaxy S5.

when u ran the kit, it downloaded a file called PD98IMG-GBx.zip (where x is a number). That file should be in the PD98IMG folder of the Hack kit. Rename that file PD98IMG.zip (case sensitive and make sure that you don´t double the extension, such as .zip.zip) and put it in the root of the sdcard. Then, boot in hboot (power + volume down) and let it prompt you for update. Just press volume up to update and let it finish. Once it is done, you should have a working phone again...
SD Checking:

What could be wrong? I've tried the process several times, deleted and recopied the PD98IMG.zip file, but it doesn't change anything.

If the ruu matches your main version it is the right one mate !
And its certainly not necessary to make a new thread ! As we already where discussing it here

Signature error 132 when flashing stock RUU

Hi, first of all apologies for posting a thread similar to a few that have already been asked, however I am unable to find an answer and could desperately do with some help here and would be extremely grateful for anyone's time.
I need to go back to stock RUU however keep getting Error 132 - Signature error.
Yes, I have been running the RUU as administrator and keeping the phone in fastboot when running the RUU, and I have been relocking the bootloader first with fastboot oem lock. Details are below and again, thank you for your time. Appreciate it.
HBoot: 1.36
RADIO-5.1204.164D.30
CID: VODAP001
version-main: 3.14.161.27
Attempted RUU: RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed
RUU Error [132]: Signature error.
If there are no reasonable explanations to this the alternative is to flash a rom with the exact properties of the stock RUU's and hope the buyer won't notice! Shouldn't have left this so last minute as things always haven't seemed as simple as they should be with this whole rooting stuff!
Edit: I also have no backups so am unable to use that method as an alternative.
You're flashing the wrong RUU.
Find the RUU for 3.1.4.161.27 and then run it.
Sent from my HTC ViperX
Give this a go !
Download this nandroid backup and place it in the right folder on the sdcard
http://bugsylawson.com/index.php/files/file/211-cwm-nandroid-backup-cid-vodap001-2171614/
Sdcard\clockworkmod\backup\time and date folder\backup files
Flash the boot.img from that nandroid backup, perform a full wipe in the recovery and restore the nandroid backup. After that you flash back the stock recovery (2.17).
http://db.tt/U5CK4noo
Boot up the phone, check if it all works and go into the software update menu and update to JB again with official OTA.

If your device is locked, then you probably do not have the "unlocked developer edition" the 617 part means it's for the unlocked developer edition. try downloading the ROM for your phone version / carrier.
If you ARE dev edition:
I'm having the same problem. I actually have the unlocked developer edition, I'm S-off and Super Cid.. yet.. 4.23.617.1 RUU throws signature error. Tried from multiple machines, and multiple downloads direct form HTC. I think the current image at HTC is corrupt. This is not the first time this has happened, and I bet they never fix it.
I can flash previous 617 RUUs just fine.

How to upgrade to Oreo?

My bootloader is unlocked through HTCDev website, and I'm running Viper10 since over a year (build number 2.41.401.41).
I'm not sure how to upgrade to stock Oreo. Do I have to S-off the phone using sunshine?
Or is there another method to flash the stock Oreo on my WWE phone?
I tried to look around but couldn't find a step by step info on this matter, and I haven't been following up xda lately, so I kind of forgot how things work in the ROM flashing world of HTC.

Rename the file to 2PS6IMG.zip, put it in the root of your sd card and run from download mode.
Also make sure that your sd card is not formatted as an internal card. It should be formatted as a portable card, so that you can see the phone storage divided into internal & sd card.

Hello.
Don't know if this Thread is still alive, but i'm a little stuck on flashing the OTA mentioned in the first post.
Since yesterday i'm on S-Off, so I would like to flash the Firmware for Oreo, mentioned above too. Flashing the Nougat FW was easy, no errors, but now im stuck in Stock Recovery, trying to flash the OTA, but Recovery sends me an Error Message:
