Moto G4 Plus theme like cyanogenmod! (ROOT) - Moto G4 Plus Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hey guys,
I just finally found a way to make my Moto G4 Plus completely look black with Dark Material theme.
Prerequisites
1. Rooted Device
Step 1
Install Busybox on rails from google play store and install busybox (Grant supersu permissions) (if busybox not installed already)
Step 2
Install "Layers Manager" from play store
from this you can choose hell lot of customisable themes
Step 3
Install whatever the theme you like, I've installed "Dark Material for layers" which will turn my moto g4 plus completely black and save power.
Now reboot your device and done!
Note: If you cannot uninstall any theme after installing don't panic, just go to /Vendor and delete all the apk files installed

Hey! Thanks for the tip. I got a great theme installed!

Layers manager not switching the theme
I installed the layers manager as you said buy the theme is not switching. After installing all the selected overlays it gets deselected automatically and no changes.

go to layers app info and clear data, then go to system/vendor/overlays and delete all apk files. open layers again and try different theme!
NOTE : you need to reboot the device for the changes, if rebooting doesn't help do the step above. cheers!

I'm using this device for about 2 weeks and completely alright with no issues. since the charger is about 2.5A the device gets heat somehow while charging. heavy gaming cause slight heating, but any powerful android will have this and completely nornal. not need to worry.

but i got 1.6a charger in second slot...

I'm using default system ui for this issue, you can just uninstall system ui from layers and reboot to get default notifications, try different theme for system ui alone to get notifications. usually IFont app can change the color and style of the fonts but you can't change the system ui text.

Most of the themes are working, nearly 99% works. just few bugs in color of texts and background. just try whatever theme you like, you can always revert it back easily!

Facing 1 major problem in applying theme. In many themes notifications become impossible to read. Any solution plz.

That's probably coz your notification font is black just like your statusbar background color. Check with white background if the problem persists...

You have to push the apk to system/app folder and set the right permission.
Somehow the gold theme cam be installed as normal apk but not the black.

My ZL hasn't rooted yet so can't see the system/app folder.
I can install GoldenTheme but not DarkTheme.
And though GoldenTheme works but the colors of the theme remain the same, just like stock color style.(some are blue some are green weirdly)
I wounder if it possiple to be installed like play store app without root? Maybe modify something?
or if it is too difficult to do?:crying:

Users Xposed framework by applying a theme, you must restart the machine to effect the changes arise!
This is a problem Xposed and happens even with the standard themes
It does not work for me. Do we need to be deodexed? Are the themes you present odexed? Do you build a new app for every theme or just edit an old one? If you create a new one, could you point out the process? Or link a tutorial?
Thank you

Come on, I'll explain a bit
I have not tested on odexed roms, but I believe it will work on both (odex and deodex) make sure to install it with system application
this theme is deodex
What I do is pick up some default theme and modify
but it will not replace any existing one, which would be a new
on how to build one there is a very interesting topic here

I really love the AOSP Android look. Huawei's Emotion UI doesn't cut it for me. So I made: AOSP Notifications theme! If you take a look at @surdu_petru 's Cyanogenmod build, and look at that notification panel, you'll find it's almost identical.
This theme uses XPosed Framework, since the tiles needs code, which I can't incorporate into the theme, as Huawei made it impossible to decompile their system apps. - So ROOT is needed!
Download:
AOSP Notifications.hwt
How to use:
Download the theme
Copy the theme to: SD Card/HWThemes/ or emulated/0/HWThemes
Apply theme from the default Huawei Theme app.
Go to settings -> Notification Panel and tick it off
Install Xposed Framework for Emotion UI on your Rooted device
Install the Framework, and reboot.
Install the module: Xperia Flip Settings [1.1]
Reboot
You should now have the AOSP look on your notifications! You can customize the tiles with Gravitybox module.
This took me some time as I needed to recreate a lot of things in Photoshop, stuff that is usually rendered with code, so expect more AOSP goodies, but not very soon.
I've done this, and a few other AOSP look-alike mods on my device, making a ROM soon!

Ebay
Took a long while to ship, cost about 5$ and doesn't really protect that much, but I got a warranty that replaces even if it scratches, so the cover is just to add a little color.
If you need more info PM me please, don't post to this thread.

How to Convert your Android smartphone into OnePlus One!

Step 1. You will need the latest CM11 ROM installed (or any other cm 11 based rom )
Step 2. Flash the HighOnAndroid OnePlus One Conversion Kit zip file
http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/HighOnAndroid/OnePlusOneConversionKit
Step 3. Once booted, just change theme to Hexo theme. That's it!
This comes with the OnePlus One lockscreen, camera, fully-working AudioFX app, Screencast, and OnePlus One Hexo theme.
If flashing is giving you any error you can unzip and install apk's (normally)
Not my work just sharing...

Hi All, Tried this mod on Cyanogenmod (App2SD) by Xenon92. Many of you know that this ROM comes with 180 DPI default. After flashing this OnePlusOne conversion kit every thing works fine lock screen, camera, music FX etc. But if you change theme to Hexo which is OnePlusOne default the icons are not at all attractive. Not sure about 240DPI.
This is just for info! Not expecting any replies regarding possible tweaks to get actual OnePlusOne looks.

Then created a shortcut on my home screen to the apk file using the built in "my files" app. Then I rebooted the phone. As soon as the phone rebooted I unlocked and hit the shortcut I created to install the launcher. It installed without the conflicts error.

Yeah. I've been using it daily. Doing this as an update turns it into a user app. So if you want to go back you just go into the app manager and it allows you to uninstall the update.

Yeah. All I did was clear the cache and reboot the phone. As soon as it rebooted I clicked the app shortcut I had created on my home screen and it installed.

Same here. No go on the s8 launcher. Conflicts with version already installed. On QC5 if that matters. Hopefully someone can figure this out.

After some research I got it to install. I cleared data and cache of both touchwiz and tw easy in the app settings menu. I was using the pixel launcher to do all of this. Then created a shortcut on my home screen to the apk file using the built in "my files" app. Then I rebooted the phone. As soon as the phone rebooted I unlocked and hit the shortcut I created to install the launcher. It installed without the conflicts error.

you don't necessarily need to remove it.
you can install an older version apk and then update with this one.
it might simply work without uninstalling. i was able to remove from settings like a normal apk.
If I uninstall the original system app and install your new one, will it mess up with safety net? Thanks!

not at all, it doesn't require root either.
you can try installing over the original apk, it might work.
you can revert back to original apk anytime

i have it on the 7 pro, where i installed the apk. so i didn't have to go through the uninstall process.
for the 7t, i assume you can disable the wallpaperresouce.apk from settings (which will revert it to an old version)
then install this (since this is the latest apk - it should update)
have your tried simply installing over the original apk?

i will try to upload the modified apk with a different package name or wallpapers as seperate apk as soon as i can.
7 pro doesn't apparently have the pre-installed resource apk, so it's simple

Is there a way to include the originals, too? I love your new colors but I like some of the old colors too.
One other thing, is there a guide on how you created these?
Thanks for the work, contribution and any answers you may have.

decompiling the original apk and editing the json along with the colored pngs is what did the trick!
the only way to have original+these would be to change the package name so not to overwrite the original apk. More colors can't be added to same apk (OnePlus stuff)
for now, could you uninstall your resource apk through adb and try installing this, it may work.
I'll try to come up with the default installation solution for package soon.

How can I install your nice wallpapers on my OnePlus 6T. I'm on OOS 10.3.1 and I think my OPWallpaperResources version is lower than yours? There's a screenshot so you can check. It says app not installed when I try

I backed up the original with titanium backup, then used the debloat magisk module on it. Rebooted, then installed the apk.
Loving the darker blue and red ones.
