Hey guys, you can move my post if this is in the wrong forum section - wasn't sure where to put this.
Today I received my i7 Book from Banggood. BUT they have sent me the wrong AC adaptor!
It should look like this (picture sourced from the Cube website)
I got sent a MicroUSB charger with a dodgy travel adaptor, the ones that I suspect come without a fuse.
I have a bucket full of old chargers and cables, and found a spare! But then discovered it only charges at 200mA - no good.
Can anyone recommend on Amazon or Ebay where to get a replacement charger? (UK plug, if possible). What about the 8" CUBE U10GT AC adapter? Can see a few on ebay, etc.

Managed to get an AC Adapter that works, charges at 2.5A/12V - the “prong” is 3.5 x 1.35mm, suitable for Cube i9 but the seller confirms it charges the Cube i7 Book also. The seller was very helpful

Here's a pic of what I received http://i.imgur.com/7Vst6fg.jpg (Shows the + polarity on the adaptor).

is it worth sell my current i7 stylus? AND buy i7 book??? PERFORMANCE GAMING???

Hi, can we install androidt to this tablet?

What about dual boot? Windows and Android. Can I install Android on a SD card?
Greetings

Ainol Mini PC Review: Quadcore Windows PC and Powerbank

Hi all,
I’ve completed my Ainol Mini PC review and found it to be an excellent mini PC. You can get one from GeekBuying.

Technical Specs
Chipset: Intel Baytrail quad core processor with Intel HD graphics (Z3735D)
RAM: 2 GB DDR3
Storage: 32GB eMMC + microSD slot up to 128GB
Video & Audio Output: mini HDMI 1.4, 3.5mm Audio
Connectivity: 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0
USB: 1x USB 3.0 port, 2x USB 2.0 port
OS: Windows 8.1 with Bing (32-bit)
Other Features: 7000mAh Internal Battery
Unboxing and Performance Demo
Key Highlights
Ainol have provided almost everything in the box you need to get started. The only real gap is the lack of the USB 3.0 OTG cable.
Build quality of the device was top notch. The entire case is made entirely of metal.
Booting was fast at around 17 seconds for a cold boot and resuming from standby was instant.
Windows 8.1 is fully activated, so no concerns about getting a "trial" like has happened with some devices.
Kodi ran brilliantly. Video decoding was also pretty impressive, however, more demanding codecs caused the device to choke. Automatic framerate switching worked perfectly.
Gaming performance was respectable given the GPU on the processor. I found Beach Buggy Racing was excellent on maximum settings whilst Asphalt 8 was still playable.
I didn't have any issues connecting up my Bluetooth controller for gaming.
Wifi performance was good and there was ample bandwidth to support streaming over wifi.
The USB 3.0 performance was disappointing, with my USB 3.0 drive taking a 50% hit in performance. I'm not sure whether this can be rectified via driver updates.
The in-built powerbank should be good for around 40 hours of unplugged usage and can be used to charge devices such as iPhones.
Verdict
I really liked the Ainol Mini PC and found it to be a real bargain for its price. It's exceptional build quality and solid performance were only really let down by a poor USB 3.0 implementation and not including the USB 3.0 OTG cable.

Hello DarkscytheX,
Just thought I would post that I've attempted to purchase one from the presale at geekbuying.
I recieved an email this morning though, that I would have to wait since shipping will be delayed longer.
I probably would have waited, but when I clicked on the link in my email:
"geekbuying.com/item/Ainol-Windows-Mini-PC-Intel-Z3735F-1-83GHz-2G-RAM-32G-ROM-WIFI-7000mAh-Power-Bank-OTG-Bluetooth---Black-342071/"
I found that GeekBuying has changed the description of the Ainol PC.
I've ordered the pc you have reviewed with a z3735d chip and usb 3.0 support, NOT z3735f.
The link no longer shows the original Z3735D I have purchased, so I am trying to cancel the order.
I think other websites are changing it to an "e" or an "f" also.
Thanks for the great info. I really looked forward to the usb 3.0. Maybe that is why it suffered such a performance hit in the review.

Pipo X1S Mini Compute TV Stick with USB3.0 Review igeekphone

As early as the beginning of 2015, Intel has released host computer like a U disk, named Compute stick at 149.99usd. Since that time, Mini compute stick or tv stick has been popular. And it attracted much attention from many medias and consumers. Recently, Pipo released the latest compute stick Pipo X1S tv stick which has solved the problem of the first generation of compute disk, greatly improving the user experience. According to the official,, it sells at 499 yuan, which is quite cheap and competitive compared with the first generation.

}
Pipo X1S has the similar design to the compute stick to use the U disk appearance. It can be inserted directly display by fixied HDMI port. As a super small hot computer, Pipo X1S has 14 * 34 * 17 (mm) dimensions which is quite small and tiny. When it connects display, the length is 99.5 mm. You can not image how powerful it is.
How did Pipo x1s solve the problem of over heating and CPU compatibility. First, Pipo X1S is powered by the latest Atom cherry Trail Z8300 processor, compared with Z3735F processor, it has improved its architecture. Z8300 uses 14nm process, but Z3735F is 14nm.. Moreover, Z8300 GPU integrates 12EU units, but Z3735F only has 4EU units. Therefore,. in the processor performance, Pipo X1S has improved its hardware performance 40% more than the first generation compute stick. It can play many games that Z3735 can not do.
Next, although Pipo X1S is so compact, it is built in the in smart temperature control fan. It is hard to imagine such tiny design can control the heat freely. And it is also confirmed by Pipo technicians. Its fan can start when the heat is over 60 degrees. But it’s so compact about the fan like a coin.
As a super mini computer host. Pipo X1S is limited largely in its expansion, but it provides TF card expansion and two USB ports. It’s very lucky that one of USB port is USB3.0 port. If you intend to download by this mini computer, integrated USB3.0 port is more convenient without doubt. It’s said, Pipo X1S with USB3.0 is the first tv stick until now in the industry.
Of course, Pipo X1S as a real computer host, can do the same tasks like looking at stocks, watching movies, playing games, doing office work, etc as other computer. It doesn’t occupy much to consume the power. Most important, it sells at 499 yuan right now very competitively. If you are interested in it, you can consider getting one at home to play games, etc. What do you think of this small Pipo X1S.
Does anybody know it before?

Thanks for the info, seems like an interesting option. I'll keep it in mind!

Update Zoomtak T8V Amlogic S905
Looking Good
So after having a good fiddle with the Zoomtak T8V Amlogic s905.
It's a good worker showing no signs of fuss or bother no matter what I throw at it.
Let's have a look at what's going on in the inside of this Media Player please note the extra cooling that is not there,
This unit had no heatsink Nothing and runs very well CPU is warm to Hot to touch but does not appear to suffer, some magic trickery, or good software unsure still testing.
The Scores above (for what they are worth) point to a a CPU that is clocked enough to do a job without melting or causing grief.
The Price as you will find is way up there, not 100% if its fully justified,
In saying that paying for what you get performance wise may seem true.
As flash As the LCD may look only the time Shows
Not a Huge deal and most would not go this far and pull it down,
Nice to see brass push in threaded nuts none of this Self tapper screws into plastic posts
Remote with many functions, I normally I use the Logitech K400
More on the Zoomtak TV8
The Zoomtak T8V is using a Fancy Mbox interface that looks Good and a little different
The Remote fairly easy to use from some distance so that is also a bonus.
Start up easy, asks for Language then screen adjust with remote for size, Internet settings and done
Few Snaps of what's running in the Zoomtak T8V Media player.
Interesting me about the Zoomtak TV8 was the lack of a Heat sink. Note the temperature of the box was pretty (top centre of images) Mild except with the Stress Test and then it was in the 70c and that's ok sorta.
Some Media players I have seen go over 100c plus and idle is in the 50c plus, so there is something a little different and using the IR Thermometer ( 10~15c cooler) are also low so this is one cool device.
I often think how accurate the software temperature indication is, Normally if its HOT its Hot this software maybe over exaggerated a little I feel..
Excellent Media Player and performing very well.
