Is there anyway to disable this annoying "feature" in D855 ?
I've tries lg brightness patch from play store but it doesn't work.
Phone is rooted.
Put this in the phone app: 3845#*400# and then scroll down to 'high temperature property' and switch to enable and do the same for 'thermal daemon mitigation'. Please note my model is ‘400’ so this will work in the number sequence above. For models with other numbers I am pretty sure you just substitute and put that number in e.g. 855.

So, I just moved from an "old" G Watch to a SW3 and Smart Lock used to work fine, but now it doesn't work at all. I have a LG G4 with LP and SW3 with current software version. Any ideas?

Did you add the sw3 as trusted device?
Did you remove the lg from trusted devices?
Its working fine on Sony z1 andere current Nexus 5x
Search for "Trust Agents" in settings on the phone. "Smart Lock (Google)" sometimes has to be activated.
I have a G4 on MM and the SW3. Smart Lock is enabled in the trust agent setting. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It's the same with location based smart locking aswell as location based en/disabling of wifi. The G4 should stay unlocked while I'm at home and still I quite often have to enter the PIN to unlock it. Annoying.
Since I have that behaviour with both smartlock options the G4 seems to be the problem, not the SW3.
what i can think off based on that, that some energy savings settings are turning some wifi/bluetooth off after some time. That way it would ofcourse not be able to tell the smart unlock should be active.
location based smart unlock is weird by the way. google has created predified 'cells' all over the world, as soon as it thinks you are outside you 'home cell' ,even if you don't., it would stop smart unlock. unpredictable at least. Bluetooth device unlock has been much more consistent as long bluetooth is enabled on the phone/BT device.
Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to port the LG v30 voice recognition unlock to our lg g3?
Also, does anyone know if there is a rom, or a way that makes google assistant unlock the phone and can be triggered from lock screen ?

Just updated to 8.0 with the OTA update, and now I am having some slight issues. I've been receiving all notificaitons just fine, however I am unable to expand them while on the lockscreen. Is this some sort of new security feature that has to be disabled? I am not currently using a PIN/Passcode/ Or any other lockscreen security.
Has anyone else been having this issue?
I am in the US with model BDN-L24, build number: 8.0.0.330(C567)

I noticed that right away on my Mate SE...Not sure if that's just the Huawei way, or what. May want to check other EMUI 8.0 devices and see if it's consistent.

I'm in Germany and I have the same problem since I upated my phone. Pretty annoying tbh.
I just update my Huawei P8 Lite 2017 to Android 8.0 and EMUI 8.0 and I can't expand notifications on locked screen
Had the same issue on EMUI 8.
A custom ROM fixed it for me.
Got it to work on Huawei View10
I use my phone with both fingerprint and face unlock and tested working on Huawei View10 with latest update build 8..1.0.133, You can enable full message content on lock screen by going to phone settings > security & Privacy > Face Unlock > and disable "smart lock screen notification". These seem to be a bad description on Huawei part because you would think this turns off notifications on lock screen but it only limits the content on lock screen for security purposes. The only time i need to expand my messages on lock screen is when phone is sitting on desk and i don't want to lift the phone to unlock it in order to read my notification. Lock screen notification can be set for apps separately. Hope this helps. Regardless if i lift my phone face unlocked automatically unlocks the phone and i go to notifications.
I bought a used G7 and updated it to Android 9 and noticed there is no double tap to wake. How can this be?
Settings - General - KnockOn. Make sure it's turned on.
Knock on is no longer there

What version of Android are you using? I'm on 9.
Update Issue Solved! : turns out I had an LG G7 Android One which does not support this feature. Only the ThinQ does
