It's not going to be amazing battery life due to the fact no custom kernels. But it is improved from stock. If you're so worried about battery use power saving mode. I get all day battery. You have 8 cores running can't expect to have amazing battery life unless you have a kernel with hotplug to reduces cores when not needed. Your screen shot isn't from the Rom, the battery and theme colors aren't there.
No color battery, nothing.
Screenshot of what it should look like: click here
A full restore of this Rom should be system/data/boot
Nothing from your old system should be there beside internal SD card.
Even settings custom themes from Samsung won't remove the green color.

Did you restore data as well? Not just system and boot? Should have xposed, all the apps listed, sound boost, force closing with back button, themes, etc.
Do not replace your back up file, place folder "zombie custom..." next to the folder that is your backup. In two you should see in restore:
Your back up and zombie custom.
If your theme/layout does not match then you did not restore all items.

OP you are the only one concern for G928P.
I gave up the thought for custom rom but still it seems there is a hope.
All of the time, I'm searching to get a mobile data toggle. Can you help getting a mobile data toggle??

To get that toggle in your status bar, you could install the latest "Goodlock" APK from Sammobile.com. That did the trick for me because i a still on stock TW Rom

Well, I got tired of there being no ability to flash a ROM file (That I know of) on this device so I took it upon myself to create a nifty little tool that can help alleviate some of the pent up fustration I have with this. With this tool you can regain your independence from TouchWiz!

USB Debugging can be hard to connect to, at least on my device. If you have a problem, first try to diconnect and reconnect USB Cable. If that fails, disconnect USB cable and reboot the Tab. Then connect cable and try again.
This is an ongoing project. If you are good with themes and want to help then say something in the thread and we can get together to add more to this. As time goes on I will be adding more mods myself.

Excellent that it worked for you.
Did you do the status bar or just the battery? I prolly overwrote a simple PNG file and I can fix that easy! No problem!
I like the Honeycomb battery myself
Dont forget to hit thanks!
Edit: And do you like the Gingbread theme or the TouchWiz Theme? I may do some variations of both next time so you can keep TouchWiz and just get different battery.
Edit2: And did you have any problems using the tool? Were the instructions accurate? Anything I leave out that people will need to know. I did this on 48 hours of no sleep

When you apply the battery it also applies the standard Gingerbread colors and check boxes. It eliminates about 90% of the god awful Samsung Blue.
Yeah, about that easy fix! Just give me some time to get my tab and I will tell you how to fix and upload a new version. Thanks for your feedback.
yes yes, the check box and colors are from stock GB, only the background of system settings are still white, but take your time man, you are on the right way.
and really thx for this tool.
I haven't had a chance to try this out yet, too busy trying to sort a custom kernel on the phone, but it all looks very nice.
If you're using ADB to replace frameworks, are you having any problems with wi-fi? Everytime I try to replace it, the tab never gets further than trying to get an IP address.
And there's all sort of fiddling I'm aching to do!
No prob with wifi, all working great. i only mount the system in the recovery and the tool makes the magic, after reboot the wifi, bt.... still working.

Ah, of course. This pushes while you're in recovery. I was pushing while the tab was just working normally. That might have been what was causing the issue. Clever.
I'll have to do some playing then I might be able to suggest some additions to tbe tool..lol

Dont ever push sys files while in the OS sans host file!
Trust me on this one, lol
I screwed up a bunch of stuff before I realized I could just mount system in recovery and push from there, lol Recovery is the key!
I also think I can do an entire ROM this way!
I even erased my gmail account one time... Have no clue how that happaned, lol
EDIT: You also said you may have suggestions so I am all ears. If you got anything to add please do! Lets make the most of what we got. Later on I am going to try and do a complete custom ROM this way. Will be a HUGE PITA but it CAN be done.

Yes that would probably be it.
I am presuming it is because his want to make sure no remains from the backup are causing bugs? Or because it will make the phone explode?
Anyway, thanks for that suggestion.

Couple things I've run in to. First...contacts forcecloses ever time I try to open them. I tried to fix permissions, but no go. Secondly, the clock on the lock screen is screwed up. It shows a number then colon then either one or two numbers. It doesn't correlate to any time. I tried turning time off and back on as well as turning on/off the double clock, but nothing helped that either.
As far as good apps to add to the multi view window, I would say gmail and tapatalk would be two I would personally like to see.
Great work otherwise...very smooth so far!

1. No problem with Contacts. Have been calling and texting all day.
2. No problem with clock. By any chance... did you flash any mods? Like power menu mods? The only time I have seen the clock do that is when the framework files are mismatched and its calling the wrong ids in the framework-res. Example, an older android.policy.jar could be calling mismatched ID's and it comes up with seemingly random stuff. BUt I can assure that the ROM does not do that on a fresh load with no mods or back ups.
You may want to download, wipe and flash again.
Updated op with the following info:
Please do not apply ANY mods to this ROM from anyone unless I post them. This is a differnt framework than what other devs are using!

Ok... You partially edited your OP, but you should also remove the download links and change Subject from "How To" to [REQ]. People will update their SystemUI and this will negatively affect many other icons & things.

Try attached zip. REMEMBER TO MAKE A NANDROID
Just flash in recovery.
Just got back in town... anyone try flashing this zip? Or am I currently committing the act of guinea pig? lol
UPDATE:
Works like a champ. I already modded my statusbar to be transparent. This battery looks great on it.

Are you talking about the one i made? And statusbar seems to go transparent if you are in the TouchWiz launcher or on the locksceen by default too. I also modded my own to allow me to "Swipe away" the stupid battery full notification.

I had a feeling that might happen. It happens when things aren't signed. Let me try to sign the apk for you and see if it works. It may just do the same thing. But its worth a shot.
Flash attached zip again in recovery. Restore your nandroid first though.

Yes I do. It's signature verification. It checks the certificates of the apk and since they are different then original, it denies that app all permissions, which it needs in order to run. So flashing the modded apk, then factory reset, should reset the "stored" signatures.

So factory reset fixed the no status bar issue AND SystemUI force close issue? But the percentages aren't working?
Can you post a screenshot?
I was on evil1art modded mdl rom. I had flashed the transparent status bar mod. Then I flashed your first zip. I had no issues & it is still working fine. Hope this helps your trouble shooting.

Im sorry I didn't have that, did you have any other issues before this? Are you having any other problems or is it just the play store?
Always a first try at fixing. Clear cache an fix permission. If not, I'll upload the original files.

ok, i guess we need to go back a bit. is your phone rooted? if not, you need to start there.
go to the main section for the tmobile n3 and it should have some good guides on how that is done. the next thing you would want to do is learn how to install a custom recovery and work with it. YES, if you don not fully understand what you are doing then you can turn your phone into a pretty paper weight.
do those few things, then if you need help send me a pm and i'll see if i can give you some more detailed instructions.

well it is always good to have multiple ways of doing things
Is anyone else having trouble selecting the apps? When I pick, for example, "Play Music" from the edit screen and drag it over to the sidebar as a multi-window option, it might show up as "Focal" or something. Every app is doing this. Any ideas?

This happens when you have a bunch of apps in the edit window area... it was a pita to fix on 4.1.2, and 4.3 did things a little different to sort of force a "redo" of the process. I also noticed when you have a lot of apps on that window and you are scrolling up/down, if a row has a mix of apps that have 1 line labels and 2 line labels the spacing gets a little wonky. Both of these reflect the idea that multiwindow and touchwiz wasn't made with tons-o-apps in mind (at least to the extent that it goes beyond a visible page in the edit window area). Both can be fixed but take a bit of smali hacking to make happy.

LIGHTSPEED
LightSpeed for the T989 Hercules model by Samsung A.K.A The "Galaxy S2" for T-Mobile. Jelly Bean Base from Samsung, the last update that Samsung gave to the T989.
***DISCLAIMER***
Your device warranty is already void if you have rooted it. I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me or anyone else for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Collectively, and at the same time.
Intro:
This project uses the T-989 4.1.2 T-Mobile Jelly Bean final update as a base. The project's purpose is to offer extra functions and better looks over stock while maintaining maximum stability, speed and battery life.
Also Aesthetics have been considered and vastly improved over stock.
Summary: going for it all here, aesthetics, speed, extra functions, updated apps and an improved look and 'feel'.
***See /settings/about device for change-log and credits for guides and kernel info
**this ROm is void of the Water drop noises that came in stock ROMs. most if not all sounds have been changed to a nexus 4 sound. bye bye water drop not in dialer either should be all gone so let me know if you find one just record what you were doing at the time and Ill see if I can remove it.
*NEW invisible power/reboot button on top left corner of status bar, custom battery icons
some features... Menu hold to kill app, google launcher, 20Toggles mod reboot mod vol-wake mod themed orange and black, invisible power/reboot button on top left corner, custom battery icons centered clock screenshot on status bar mod custom colored >settings ON OFF mod,,, it has nice look, my favorite so far. Enjoy
I need someone to confirm that WiFi calling and Messaging over WiFi work. I would think they do but would be good to know.
kernel sources found here SMOOTH_KERNEL https://github.com/hallovveen31
power button on statusbar is now invisible and out of the way, yet there and able to be used... with a tap on upper left corner of screen your device will go sleep or hold your virtual power button and a four way reboot menu will appear.

changelog
Version 4 added new busybox file.
Did some work in settings under data usage, made blue graph lines orange.
Changed colors of /settings/storage ie device memory
Added adfree and a new hosts file, so no adds, forever =]
updated a few apps in the data/app folder.
Flash with TWRP 2.5 2.6 or whatever recovery works best that you know =]
should probably wipe everything for best results and then Install or ''flash'' your drive with the Zip found on Sourceforge.
reboot.
set your kernel speed and governors
the kernel is stock but overclockable and with Interactive gov a possible choice samsung didnt enable this gov for whatever reason yet all the code for it is stock. Enjoy
First!
nice to see some love for the GS2 still, spending most of my time over in the GS4 threads these days but my GS2 is still my fallback device!
Time to revive the old beast. I' ll see if I can download it today and I will report about the wifi calling and texting... thanks.
Currently on Shadow Extr3m3, best stable ROM with zero issues. Looking forward to Lightspeed. Thank you for your hard work.

is a full wipe required coming from SHADOW_EXTREM3_SMOOTHKERNEL?

my pleasure =] .,. no you don't have to wipe data if coming from shadow. But don't restore system data with titanium backup. And if anything is wonky then do perform data wipe. But DO wipe /system and /preload and both /caches. As far as is this An upgrade from shadow,?, Well it's a different look that I like ... Black, orange and white.....
The come back, lol.
Still rocking the htc?
I got an S5 and sure would like some tw custom ROMs like this bad boys you put out.
Nice to see another of your ROMs out here anyways.

I have a few questions hope you can answer.
1. Does this ROM includes a custom kernel that replaces the existing one?
2. Can I use CWM to create a nandroid of existing kernel and ROM before flashing? I read elsewhere that CWM does not backup or restore the kernel.
3. What can I use to backup the kernel if CWM does not?
