much more stable removed alot of useless things to make rom lighter.
new audio libs now thanks to the beats audio port from AndroidExpert35.
all the old tigerlilly still remains speed and performance etc while im testing some more scripts.
this will bring init.d into play so deffo see more performance i hope in next version.
also added s5 recents menu and quick toggles also settings menu ofcourse due to debloat spen etc dont work and never will.
added viper 4 android as we needed better eq and sound boost. mix that with the beats mod just awesome
added hosts file to block websites (some users may find adaway 3.1 within thread removed due to debloat)
also dpi set to 200 did want it at 182 but it messes with contacts and dialer not prob for me as i use truecaller but found 240 too big so set for 200 any lower you lose icons in settings bleh cant win them all.
V2.1
bugs fixed#
lockscreen pin/pattern works again had to rename s5 menu to 2 so now you will see 2 settings menu hide the you dont want to see and set as default one you wish to keep or delete secsettings2.apk if you dont wish to see s5 menu using TB.

Thank you for this ROM.
I understand you are trying to debloat but I added a few things to your ROM before I flashed it. For your consideration, I got the AOSP Browser from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2774509. I just renamed it Browser.apk and dropped it into the /system/app folder.
I also got a CM File Manager from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-cyanogenmod-file-manager-apk-v1-0-2-t3058506. I downloaded the apk from V1.0.3 [from CM11]. I renamed it CMFileManager.apk and dropped it into the /system/app folder.
I have also attached a Calculator and SoundRecorder that I pulled from a couple of different ROMs. These were also dropped into the /system/app folder. But you can actually install the Calculator.apk the normal way if you want.
They all seem to be working great after flashing the ROM.
And if any one wants ViPERAtmos 4.8 Sony Beats Edition, this version https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995297520, flashes and works well with this ROM.

Hey, thanx for the awesome rom, my phone runs 3x smoother, quicker, and cooler (temperature)
There are a couple small issues I'm experiencing, the dialer has the bottom cut off, I seen this was mentioned. I did a fresh clean install.
My network seems a bit weaker
Having trouble accessing certain things within Chrome browser.
It would have been nice to have the stock clock, calculator and notepad but those are no biggies
Again thank you for the work you put into to this awesome rom, other than those small minor things its an overall great rom

Thanks for the rom! Just wanted to confirm dialer app is cut off from the screen even though the rom was installed clean. Another problem I found is that sometimes when rebooting the phone it will boot in to safe mode and it can take a couple reboots to get out of safe mode.
On the other hand I was wondering is you knew if the kernel supports F2FS? Formatting the data and cache partitions to F2FS would also make the phone faster!

Dialer issue yeah sorry i believed i fixed it. i take another look into that maybe i missed something?
chrome issue sorry cant help that due to chrome devs maybe try another browser see if you have similar issue maybe?
i pulled system and priv apps from stock based and deodexed them and added them into download section things tho with notepad it has to be put into rom before flashing you will recieved constant forces closes hence why i never added it back since v1.1 i would reccommend app called colornote i reckon you be pleased with it. check here for details LINK rest of apps shouldnt be a problem.

sorry no kernel does not support f2f its stock kernel.
you can find custom kernel here LINK as far as im aware you will need twrp 3 which we dont have as no one been able to get it to work other then a black screen upon boot.
so f2f will not work also with this custom kernel. upon reboot you lose wifi so you have to copy dhd.ko into system every time you boot other then that kernel works great but not stable enough for me to implement into tigerlilly. feel free tho to read thru thread and make you own decision whether you wish to use it. i`l assist where i can.

Glad you enjoying modding things yourself
yes my plan was to totally debloat all the crap away but keeping with users reponses and suggestions not easy lol
heres my reasons why i didnt add things you did.
google dialer if i add it and remove stock breaks the use of emergency calls do i or dont i ? my personally opinion i would replace pretty much everyone has a cell phone easy to contact services etc.
CM manger i used to have it in early versions of tigerlilly but found it didnt have the features i wanted so removed it replaced it with MiXplorer its free and XDA app.
ViPERAtmos 4.8 Sony Beats Edition too many updates i know its a good thing its being maintained but i i felt like theres so many different sound mods and the samsung audio is a pain in the ass to work with lol especially for this device so i only went with viper4a with beats audio libs. which dosent need updating but you can still install other sound mods just make sure to follow devs instructions and to remember beats and viper is preinstalled (message to all)
Thanks guys for feedback hoping to work on more things just little bit busy at moment with few other things hope to bring something soon:good:
##edit
uploaded both system and user apps from stock base for easy access into download section files are zipped. do NOT flash them thru recovery you have to manually push them thru ADB or copy and paste and set permsissons with file manager.

Sorry I was not clear enough about the problem. On v2.1 the phone will randomly boot into safe mode. It does not happen every boot so it is hard to document. When I say boot I mean turning the phone on. Not that it crashes and reboots.

Thank you for the download links for the apps.
I worked around dialer issue with downloading Simpler dialer. I rarely call outside of my existing contacts anyway so no biggie for me.
Might be a conflict with Nova launcher causing it.
Chrome issues maybe within chrome itself or possible a conflict with systems radio signal, honestly I can't stand google but have become so use to running thru them.
Once again thanx for the time and effort you put into this rom, my phone was running extremely hot to the touch, which led to it bogging down, now so much cooler quicker and smoother :good:

Thank you so much for the links, Casper5point0!!
Was able to get "TigerLilly V2.1 4.4.2" installed without any issues.
However, this is what I noticed immediately after installation.
There is no "Call" and Backspace buttons to make phone calls. Also, the last row with 0, #, * is partly hidden. Tried to reduce the font size and everything, just to make sure but that didn't do anything.
Any ideas would be immensely helpful. Thank you once again for helping me get past the first issue.

I believe its because that dialer is designed specifically for Touchwiz . I just installed another dialer app from play store to resolve that issue

It's a known issue, and I installed truecaller and it works fine

[ROM][MIUI][21 Jan 12] Mini Mi 2.01.20

First off, I'm not a dev. I'm just a guy with 5 kids who plays with his phone to help keep his sanity. But with CarpeNoctem getting a new phone and Tun4f1sh only making an add-on, I needed my own rom.
Secondly, I'm making this for myself and just sharing. I'm open to fixing bugs, but not adding features. Sorry.
Finally, THANKS to:
g4rb4ge, for porting MIUI to the G2.
MIUIAndroid.com, for the base rom and translations.
CarpeNoctem, for getting me hooked on this rom.
Tun4f1sh, For Bulletproof and making me want to learn more.
Andy Thompson, for the Extended Settings mod and controls.
Tsubus, rmk40, and Juwe11, for optimization scripts.
Dsixda, for his awesome Android kitchen.
What is Mini Mi?
Nothing, or as close to nothing as I can make it.
I wanted to make the smallest rom possible, while still being able to use all of the MIUI features.
Changes:
Removed apk's, themes, media, and fonts I didn't use
Zipaligned
Added Extended Settings mod and MIUI settings app
Added Genie Widget (for lockscreen weather)
Added memory management, sdcard, zipalign, and ILWT fixes scripts
I left the stock CM kernel, if you don't like it flash one of your choice.
Suggested Add-ons:
Bulletproof MIUI Add-on from Tun4f1sh.
ILWT Kernel, ILWT OC daemon, and WiFi calling add-on from Tsubus.
Tiamat Kernel from Cayniarb.
SUperuser 3.0.7 from ChainsDD
Pershoot Kernel
HTC_IME or Jonasl's Themer (For prediction on physical keyboard)
MIUI Small MMS Fix from silverton
Download Link:
2.01.06
2.01.13
2.01.20
Going to give it a whirl. Really appreciate the work! ;]
Downloading now. Ill try it tomorrow(Monday) without "Bulletproof MIUI Pack" and then Tuesday with and let everyone know how it goes. Thanks for a new roms!

With which app? It's still the stock SU app so you need to enable it in settings first.
With pretty much all my apps. It's already enabled, but for some reason, I still can't get root access...I'll try to reflash and see from there.

Strange, I didn't do anything to the SU and I only had a problem with restoring TI Backup. Did you come from a full wipe?
Seeing as I already had MIUI installed, just cleared cache. I'll try doing a full wipe, seeing as how reflashing still didn't fix the issue.
EDIT: Negative. Even a full wipe didn't fix it for me :[

Very strange. I will wipe, flash and see if I can recreate it.

Here, they started weather on the new lockscreens mid Nov. There's some in the online theme chooser app as well.

I did a full wipe and I can confirm root does NOT work. I dont really need it so Im going to stick with it till you find a patch. Also I backed up with MIUI Backup and restored from 12.02 rom and everything it working like I never left other then root so thanks for the great rom!
I updated the OP with a patch. I'll take a closer look at it tomorrow after work. I'm still learning.
Sorry if this is answered somewhere (couldn't find much when I asked/searched relatively recently), but does this MIUI version (or any for that matter) fully support the G2 keyboard - as in, the ".com/www." button works instead of displaying the square?

Nope, no MIUI version does because very few phones have physical keyboards. All attention goes to soft IME's. But you can look here. You'll have to use a hex editor to make your own keymap, but everything you need is on his github.
Hey man I have a few questions.
Removed apk's, themes, media, and fonts I didn't use

Can you be more specific about what apks you pulled, what themes you pulled (since there is only one theme that comes with MIUI I don't see what could be slimmed down), and the fonts you got rid of? MIUI is already pretty barebones in terms of system overhead and package size so I'm curious as to how your design philosophy works.
Added memory management, sdcard, zipalign, and ILWT fixes scripts

Could you also go into some more detail as to what this means and how each script works? I'm not really much of a dev, I just benefit from the effort of others but I do love my documentation, especially before I flash a new rom.
Thanks for the reply.
Edit: Hey as a bit of an aside, for permission controls I always suggest LBE Security Control. It's very effective at not breaking roms yet helping your sense of security. It's free on the market so you could theoretically pre package it in your rom. I usually suggest it since most baked in permission control is often fundamentally broken.
Sure. MiTalk, MiuiStats, and a couple others I can't remember off hand. I removed the Arabic, Thai, and Hebrew fonts, the some of the ringtones and pictures I hated, TTS info for Italian, French, and German, the extra lockscreens in the media folder, and added a smaller bootanimation. I'm going to try to slim it down a little more next week too. I'll make a list.
As for the scripts, in the system/etc/init.d folder there's the SDcard fix which changes the read ahead cache, zipalign which verifies all apks are zipaligned at boot, ramscript which tunes the memory manager, and ilwt-fixes that fixes Flash in the browser.

Thanks. You've been a great help already. I'm just doing this so I have something to flash your pack on.

Great that you got your project going on, kinda similar what I was about to do to learn how to make my 'own' ROM. I guess you don't mind if I snoop around a bit and see what you did? Anyway this is going to my new daily driver. Thanks Bigt!

Update April 30: CM-10 for Locked Bootloaders Rom

Rom updated. Compiled from Cyanogenmode latest sources on April 29. All fixes (battery/audio/wifi) incorporated in code before compiling, so there is no need to decompile individual apps. Also, I have changed default network from WCDM to LTE/GSM, which means that your phone should connect to LTE/4G right on reboot.
CHANGES: Numerous ranging from improving network to better ram management. If you look at commits, they go between 4 days to 6 months old.
Remember, this is not a port or cooked up rom, it has been fully compiled from sources. Enjoy.
SOURCES: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android/tree/jellybean
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is another CM10 rom for IONs with locked bootloaders. This one is based on original CM10 experimental build by Jenkins. So, it is a slightly different build from that of FXP based MrGezz's one.
Changes:
1. Rom completely rebuilt
2. All my patches (Wifi/Battery) included, so, no need to flash anything post installation
3. Google Analytics disabled
4. Newer Camera and Gallery included
5. Dock enabled in Settings (I think)
6. A few stock alarm, ringtones and notification sounds added
7. All apps re-signed with the same key to fix bootloop
BUGS: same as in all CM based roms
CREDIT: Cyanogen Team; MrGezz/Letama/Olivier for initial LB patch
INSTRUCTIONS:
Fresh Install (recommended)
1. Have JB latest Stock Kernel, Roger's Baseband in case of LT28i, Root and Recovery
2. Format System/Data/Cache in TWRP or Mount and Format the same in CWM
3. Install the ROM and Reboot. Nothing else is needed
If you are already on CM-10 by Mr.Gezz, you might be able to restore your Data partition. In this case, after
initial installation steps above:
1. Reboot, let the rom settle, then restart the phone and go to TWRP
2. Restore your previously backed up CM-10 rom: DATA ONLY!!! The only thing you might have different is if you had a different SU app, you now might have two. In this case, delete the one you are not going to use. Although, this method should work fine, the preferred way is always: Fresh Install
WARNING!!! Back up your rom prior to new install. As usual, I am not responsible for bricking your device, cold war, WW3 or total annexation of your country by mother Russia (which may happen anyway regardless of this install). If you dare to complain after this fair warning, I will forward your grievances to Mr. Putin.
P.S. I have not tested this version of the rom on the phone, but the original CM10 version by Jenkins works fine with LB patch. Also, I have confirmed that re-signing all system apps gets rid of bootloops when patched framework and settings apps are incorporated in the rom. But again, don't forget to back up your current rom.

Just got it up and running. No problems to report..everything seems to be working so far.
The recent apps crash that I was experiencing with other CM based roms is not there in this rom. Thanks for this very light and speedy rom.
EDIT: you forgot to add the web browser or was that intentional?

Thanks for the browser.
Had problems with the CM file manager. After transferring to system/app and changing permissions, the file manager force-closed. And from this point on, it FC'd every time I tried to launch it. And also started getting random calendar app FC toast when I wasnt trying to run the calendar app.
I re-flashed the rom and got this done with root explorer and now there are no FC's.

CM based roms are sensitive to tethering with system apps. You got to set permissions the right way.

You do need to instal the original web browser unless you use something else. Google Analytics? You decompile an app, go to the corresponding XML file and change "true" to "false." Or if you want to delete it you delete several files...

For future reference, please tell me the right way to set permissions. Would rebooting into recovery and setting permissions this way be safer? I don't have a strong background in these things but I am happy to follow instructions.
Also, I installed xperia_launcher3.apk that I found on xda. Its a light 1MB launcher and sort of gives me best of both worlds in terms of sony appearance. Do you recommend making this a system app and removing trebuchet or will trebuchet just be sleeping while xperia launcher is running as the default?

No. There is a lot more to it. Just search xda on how to decompile an app.

Don't ever fix permissions on custom roms for locked bootloaders, you will never boot. With the new launcher installed, try to freez trebuchet, if everything works, then delete it. Yes, it makes sense to put the launcher in system with right permissions.

Then how do you fix permissions on a custom ROM? I've found that fixing permissions every few months fixes forced close (FC) problems.

You can't fix permissions on a custom rom for locked bootloaders. If you don't install rougue apps, there is no need to fix permissions. If you experience f/cs, you should clear settings in individual apps. If that doesn't help, you could try to restore system partition of your rom (of course it needs to be backedup first).

After months, weeks, days and hundreds of hours of long & tedius work, I introduce the first properly ported Note 5 rom for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4!!! With all of the current N5/S6 ports out there that have various major issues, I set out on a mission to conquer and masterfully port the Note 5 software version N920PVPS2AOK3. This has been a long hard journey to say the least. I have spent countless amounts of time on this and i'm quite confident that no other developer has taken as much time and devotion to a rom project as I have with this one. I guarantee there is no other Note 5 rom out there that operates and functions as flawless as this rom. Period. With great pride and a sense of accomplishment, I officially announce a new era of roms for the Sprint Note 4! (and possibly other variants in the future)
Before we get started, please take note: I do NOT give permission for anyone to use any portion of this rom in any other public rom projects. Period. My work here IS and should be considered THE authority of Note 5 ports without question. The proof is in the rom and it speaks for itself. Others will likely steal my work here and try to pass it off as their own work. I promise you that nobody would be able to port the N5 rom like this on their own in such short amount of time after this official release. I guarantee this will happen and I also guarantee that nobody else (aka rom chef/developer) here in the XDA Note 4 forums or any other tech site has contributed nor done any of the work & procedures to properly port their N5 roms. So be informed from this day forward that any future Note 5 roms that pop up here on XDA or elsewhere will most likely be using my work and formula without my permission or proper credit. Any other N5 based rom that is based on my work here that is approved by me WITH my permission will be stated as such in that rom thread's OP with a link to this official thread. If there is no credit given in the rom's OP it is being reproduced and shared WITHOUT my permission or approval.
WARNING!
This is a public warning to select individuals who are known to steal and "kang" other people's work. Do not even think about trying to copy or redistribute my roms or my work here! I WILL know if my rom/files are being used in other publicly shared rom projects. There is no way anyone can avoid me finding out. So don't make a fool of yourself in front of millions of XDA members around the world by trying to pull off an amazingly perfected N5 port rom as "your work" that you have downloaded and used without my approval or permission and place in your op that nobody has permission toy use "your" work. This is immature and flat out WRONG.. The way we do things here at XDA is very simple. Ask for permission to use other peoples' work and absolutely give them the credit that they truly deserve. However, due to the high number of "copycat" roms here on XDA I am publically announcing here and now that NOBODY has my permission to copy, mimic or reproduce the work in this rom or any of my future N5 ports. Period. I have been forced to make this decision by the actions of others.
Let's be respectful to one another and avoid you getting your reputation destroyed and XDA membership suspended or banned for these kind of immature actions. I absolutely WILL be watching along with many other people here at XDA. I will immediately report suspicious new rom threads once I have the information I need to verify that you stole my work. People are almost always willing to share their hard work with you if you just give them the credit they deserve. If this is beyond your way of thinking then you don't belong in this community and nobody will ever respect you or your work. That is NOT how the evolution of XDA developers works. Yes android is opensource and I understand all of that. That is not the point. The issue is moral and ethical and has nothing to do with opensource. You have been warned!
Now that's all out of the way let's get straight to business! First and foremost I want to Thank all of my friends and testers
here at XDA who have helped with testing and just being all around good friends. I will list these people below. Secondly I want to thank the many developers here at XDA that have contributed so much over the years. Without these specific people we would not be able to build or flash custom roms! Again, their credits will also be found below. Now let's get to the rom shall we?
About ROMWarning: This ROM is ONLY for the Sprint SM-N910P!!! DO NOT FLASH THIS ROM ON ANY OTHER MODEL!!! If you do then please don't ask for help in this thread. You are on your own! Know what you are doing before flashing and modifying your phone!!! Yes this is an amazing rom BUT it is for the Sprint network model SM-N910P ONLY!!! Please resist the urge to flash this rom on any other model. This is your fair warning.
Initial Release: v1.0
This is a "stock" build with no mods other than XtremeMusic audio technologies by @androidexpert35
Fully deodexed framework and system apps
Root by @Chainfire
Busybox
Init.d support
Native Hotspot unlocked. (you can update prl and profile without breaking hotspot)
100% Sprint Note 5 framework and system apps.
100% Sprint Note 4 system files for hardware & feature dependecies. Are we sensing a pattern here???
Absolutely ZERO international or non Sprint specific N4/N5 rom files where used in the making of this rom!
This rom is guaranteed to bring new life into your Note 4 and make you love it again.
Software version: N920PVPS2AOK3/N910PVPS4COK1 A true "Hybrid"
Kernel: Official Samsung N910PVPS4COK1 with root enabled by @freeza
Rom package Includes the latest OK1 modem & apn's that will flash along with the rom.
FeaturesThis is a stock rom running the stock samsung kernel. Nothing has been done to the rom that would break features or cause any other kinds of undesirable results. Although there are no significant problems in the rom, I do plan to continue making fine adjustments with libraries etc in order to make this rom as pefect as I can. Afterall it is a port and many things have to be done precicely for the smoothest and most trouble-free operation of the rom. Currently this rom is amazing. In the future it will be even more amazing. Rom includes all working features of the Sprint Note 5 software version N920PVPS2AOK3.
(No broken S6 Edge features will be included at this time until all of it's features are fixed)
All pre-installed Samsung apps have been updated to their latest versions as of the release date of this rom. This is why the rom is larger than your average rom. Some 64 bit apps can't be installed from the Galaxy apps store, therefore I have converted and pre-installed the latest versions of SNote, SNote Extension, SNote add-ons etc. Please be aware that If you delete or uninstall some of these specific apps, you will not be able to install them again from the Galaxy apps store. So back them up first!
Removed Itson
Removed Knox and related apk's & libs/modules
Removed Sprint bloat installer and sprint ID
Removed WhatsAppDownloader
Removed Facebook and facebook feature apps (can be downloaded from google Play)
Removed GameOptimizer (does not function on the Note 4's hardware without modifications. not important.)
Removed Lookout (can be downloaded through Google Play or Sprint Zone app)
Removed Samsung Kies (the stock preinstalled N5 Kies.apk does not function on our Note 4 so the latest version will need to be installed from Galaxy apps store)
Removed Samsung Pay and Payment Framework apk's (they are useless on rooted roms since they don't work if you have a rooted system or have tripped knox flag)
Replaced the Note 5 VoiceNote app with the Note 4's OK1 Voice Notes app because it supports the Note 4's 3 mics and has multiple recording scenarios unlike the Note 5 version. It's better.
Default notification panel toggles updated with additional toggles Samsung decided to hide from us.
(only functioning toggles are included. many of the extra toggles do not actually work because the features have been disabled or is for a different device/carrier)
Added the following apps:
Peel Smart Remote ( Why not? The Note 4 has a IR blaster unlike the note 5 )
Backup app
GifMaker app (is an add-on feature for the stock Samsung photo gallery and can be found in the stock gallery's menu)
Samsung fonts package (can be accessed from fonts settings. There's a lot so it takes a few seconds to load them all. when you open fonts settings be patient, they will load)
Video Editor full version (I fixed the internal linking from the stock samsung video app so it will take you straight to the video editor when pressing "edit" for a video)
Added Features:
XtremeMusic v7.0 by: @androidexpert35
Dolby ATMOS
Known issues:
This is the list of known minor issues upon initial release. Some are beyond my control.
non-issue but will mention... Sprint Zone will fc during initial rom setup. it is looking for the bloat installer and ID apps which are removed
FM radio is broken (I plan to finish solving this problem in the future as I have a good sense of direction to solve this )
World clock tab in the clock app does not work. (I know the cause of this problem and will try to fix it another time)
Some Samsung apps (specifically 64bit versions) cannot be updated through Samsung galaxy app store. This is to be expected and they will fail to install. Please consider this before you remove any stock samsung apps!
Did i miss anything? I think that's about it! Please report any issues or bugs if you find something. Also PM me so your report doesn't get overlooked.
Changelog***v1.0 Initial release (rom features listed above)***
***v1.1 (No longer available. Nothing to see here.)
***v1.2
Removed all audio mods
Fixed stock samsung audio
Fixed highest volume audio bug
Fixed Samsung SoundAlive (however the bass knob in SoundAlive has a bug where bass will drop if you turn it to the left. Leave it centered for the best results)
Added S6 Smart Manager
Fixed World Clock
Updated all apps
Fixed GPS issue
Rebuilt the entire rom and made underhood adjustments as needed
Flashing instructions:Before you flash this rom you absolutely MUST be running the latest OK1 software for the Sprint Note 4 with the latest bootloader as well as having your phone fully activated. While on the stock un-rooted OK1 rom, you will need to go to Settings/System updates and update PRL then update Profile. Reboot your phone and then go to Settings/Activate this device and launch it to properly activate your phone on the sprint network. Once this completes, make sure data, calls and gps works as it should. Once everything is activated and working, then proceed with the flashing instructions below. If you ignore these requirements please expect issues and don't ask for help until you do these initial steps.
You can either take the ota updates in order on your phone via OTA updates, or use odin to flash the software in order of release until you are fully updated. OTA updates on your phone are installed differently than odin packages therefore you may only have to take one or two updates to become current. The OTA updates run scripts to patch your current rom unlike odin tar packages that completely write the entire partition replacing everything clean. I will not go into great detail about that here. I have covered this many times in my other threads so if you aren't sure then do some searching here in the Note 4 forums.
***Before you flash any rom, please make sure your battery has at least 50% charge***
Lets begin...
1. Download the rom
2. Check the MD5!!! Use a MD5 checksum tool on your pc or phone (Google is your friend)
3. Copy the downloaded rom to your phone's internal storage or micro-sd card
Note: It has become apparent to me that if you are coming from another custom rom. especially another port rom, that you MUST also wipe your internal storage. Left over data from other roms do cause major problems! So if you want the best trouble-free experience with this rom, i highly recommend that you backup anything you need from you internal storage and wipe it in recovery. You should do this before placing this rom on your internal storage or else put the rom zip on your micro-sd card.
4. Backup anything you need to backup from your internal storage and copy it to your pc or sd-card (DO NOT RESTORE BACKED UP APPS! INSTALL THEM FRESH FOR THE BEST TROUBLE-FREE EXPERIENCE!)
5. Reboot to TWRP custom recovery. Press "Wipe". Do the "Factory Reset" several times then go into "Advanced Wipe" options and wipe Dalvic Cache, System, Data, and Cache several times.
6. Go to recovery home screen and select "Install" and select the rom that you have already copied to your phone in step 3 above.
7. Install the rom and the script will prompt you when it is finished flashing. WAIT!!! DO NOT REBOOT YOUR PHONE YET!!!
***THE NEXT STEP IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!! It is done in order to clear the phone's current battery stats and prepare the phone for proper battery calibration***
***If you skip this step you will possibly have incorrect and misread battery capacity by your phone and will result in incorrect battery capacity problems*** Trust me. Do as I say and you will be perfectly fine.
8. While still in recovery go back to the recovery homescreen and select "Reboot" then "Power Off".
9. With your phone powered off remove your battery. With the battery removed press and hold the power button for AT LEAST 20 seconds then release it.
10. Replace the battery and power on your phone. If the phone reboots into recovery then simply press "Reboot" then press reboot "System".
11. The initial boot process will take around 10 minutes or so. Just be patient. It will boot.
12. Once the phone has booted and you see the setup wizard screen, select your language then press the botton to continue to the next step. STOP HERE!
***THE NEXT STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!***
13. Stop at the wifi setup screen!!! Turn wifi off or leave it on, it doesn't matter. But STAY ON THIS SCREEN until your Sprint data has fully connected or else you will
not be able to sign into your accounts and the setup wizard will not be happy.
14. Once you have a data connection continue through setup wizard as usual.
That's it! You're done!

My phone works data works and mms works but my phone won't activate either. I followed it to the letter, I'm not new to this. I wiped everything except my external and pulled the battery and waited for my lte signal. Everything works like a charm though. Can't update prl cause it goes to the hands free activation screen again and fails.

Okay so I re downloaded the COK1.tar and ROM just in case I had a bad download. I wiped EVERYTHING 6 times, rebooted into download mode, Odin'd COK1, let it activate, set it up as a new device and did no restores or back ups, took the PRL/Profile updates, flashed TWRP, followed instructions to the T. Everything is working smooth like before, i'll update on battery life in a couple hours.

I also would like for everybody to know that my test/ support team are here to help when they can. They are listed in the credits at the bottom of the OP. Ofcourse anybody can offer help here. Thanks everybody. Enjoy your new rom! I'm confident I can relax now and not have to worry about bugs and fixes and that familiar scenario with improper porting. Say bye bye to those days.

This is a "stock" build with no custom mods other than unlocked native hotspot
Fully deodexed framework and system apps
I built the entire rom and made underhood adjustments as needed. There is way too much work to list here!!!
Root by @Chainfire
Busybox
Init.d support
100% Sprint Note 7 framework and system apps.
100% Sprint Note 4 system files for hardware & feature dependecies.
This rom is guaranteed to bring new life into your Note 4 and make you love it again!
Software version: N930PVPU1APGC
Kernel: Official Samsung N910PVPS4DPJ1 modified to support Samsung UX software
FeaturesThis is a mostly stock rom running the stock Samsung kernel. Although there are no major problems in the rom, I do plan to continue making fine adjustments in order to make this rom as perfect as I can. However, it is a port and many things have been done precisely for the smoothest and most trouble-free operation. Expect minimal issues. Currently this rom is amazing. In the future it will be even more amazing. The ROM includes all working features of the Sprint Note 7 software version N930PVPU1APGC excluding items listed below.
(other than iris and fingerprint scanner and fm radio)
All stock Samsung and Google apps as well as the main Sprint apps like Visual Voicemail and Sprint Zone
Native Hotspot unlocked
Disabled High Volume Warning
5-way Reboot mod for convenience
Removed Itson
Removed/Disabled Knox and related apk's & libs/modules
Removed Sprint bloat installer and Sprint ID
Removed WhatsAppDownloader
Removed Facebook and facebook feature apps (can be downloaded from Google Play)
Removed Samsung Pay and Payment Framework (they are useless on rooted roms since they don't work if you have a rooted system or have tripped knox flag)
There are a few csc tweaks as well as build.prop tweaks. The usual. Nothing far from stock.
Added the following apps:
Peel Smart Remote ( Why not? The Note 4 has a IR blaster unlike the note 7 )
GifMaker app (is an add-on feature for the stock Samsung photo gallery and can be found in the stock gallery's menu)
Samsung fonts package (can be accessed from fonts settings. There's a lot so it takes a few seconds to load them all. When you open fonts settings be patient, they will load)
S7 Edge Nougat TW Launcher
Chinese Smart Manager because it's prettier!
Added Features:
None at this time
Known issues:
This is the list of known minor issues upon initial release.
Always On Display aka "AOD", Edge Lighting and Night Clock are obviously not gonna work properly.
(I have it turned off by default. You can enable it and play with it as well as try different "AOD "fixes" that may be available)
Fingerprint Scanner not working (Workaround added)
No Iris Scanner (I removed instances of Irus scanner in setting because obviously the N4 has no Iris scanner module)
FM radio is broken (I plan to fix this in the future as time permits. (I simply did not make this a priority )
WiFi calling is impossible to fix. (The IMS versions of N4 and N7 are very different. No way to fix this with the N7 dialer)
Update PRL and Profile is not working yet. I plan to fix this when I have more time. Fixed by @jc.m !!!
Launcher swiping left and right has a glitch where it sticks if you press to swipe between home screens
(use short "flicks" instead and there's no issue swiping left & right) Fixed! Flashable zip fix is in post #2
Lockscreen pin/password entry causes reboot.. Fixed by @carlosggb !!!
There are probably a few more minor things that i'm forgetting so I will work on a more precise bug list as I get to them.
***Please report any issues or bugs if you find something. Also PM me so your report doesn't get overlooked in the thread***

Flashing instructions:Before you flash this rom you absolutely MUST be running the latest N910PVPS4DPJ1 firmware for the Sprint Note 4. Specifically the bootloader and modem. Your phone needs to be fully activated prior to flashing any custom rom to ensure a trouble-free transition to this rom. Before you flash this rom, while on a stock Sprint N4 rom, go to Settings/System updates and update PRL then update Profile. Reboot your phone and then go to Settings/Activate this device and launch it to properly activate your phone on the Sprint network. Once this completes, make sure data, calls messaging/mms and gps works as it should. Once everything is activated and working, then proceed with the flashing instructions below. If you ignore this requirement please expect issues and don't ask for help until you do these initial steps.
If you are running software older than PJ1 then you can either take the ota updates in order on your phone via OTA updates, or use odin to flash the software in order of release until you are fully updated. If you already updated your software past the PJ1 version then you can try to flash the rom BUT you could possibly have hardware issues with wifi, etc. So if you want to play it safe, revert to the official PJ1 firmware which can be done by odin flashing the stock N910PVPS4DPJ1 software on your PC or a custom firmware only package that can be packaged for this purpose. Just ask if you need help finding it there's a couple of people here that can help with that. My advice is to run this rom with the PJ1 firmware for the best results since the kernel, modules and hardware specific software is based on version PJ1.
***Before you flash this rom, please make sure your battery has at least 30% charge***
OK... Lets begin!
1. Download the rom
2. Check the MD5!!! Use a MD5 checksum tool on your pc or phone (Google is your friend)
3. Copy the downloaded rom to your phone's internal storage or micro-sd card
Note: It has become apparent to me that if you are coming from another custom rom, especially another port rom, that you MUST also wipe your internal storage.
Do the "Factory Reset" several times then go into "Advanced Wipe" options and wipe Dalvic-Cache, System, Data, and Cache several times.
6. Go to recovery home screen and select "Install" and select the rom zip that you have already copied to your phone in step 3 above. Install the rom and the script will prompt you to reboot system when it is finished flashing.
7. The initial boot process will take around 12 minutes. Please be patient. It WILL boot.
8. Once the phone has booted and you will see "Installing Applications". The phone will reboot once during this process then continue installing upon reboot.
9. Once you reach the setup wizard ...
10.Reboot to Recovery and Flash Modset, pick your options in the Aroma!!
11.Once you are back to the Wizard Proceed as usual and setup your phone. At the very last step when allowing the weather location access the phone will reboot one more time. Upon reboot you will be at the home screen.
12.If you picked Magisk as your root method, go to the Download folder and install MagiskManager apk or you wont have root access!
13.That's it! You're done! You are now going to smile as you experience the best ROM for the Sprint Galaxy N4 to date.
Note: Immediately upon reaching the home screen you may notice some lagginess. This is due to Google and Samsung accounts syncing all of their respective account features at once. I highly recommend that you first go to cloud/sync settings and set these account options right away to conserve battery and data usage Uncheck the things you don't want or need.
Enjoy the official Note 7 port ROM for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4! Please feel free to post rom feedback and support questions.

Holy cow it's TX... Sup man? I have moved on to an unlocked Note 9 (Snapdragon) that I'm using on a tracfone related service. For which I got a t-mobile tracfone sim for easier compatibility with wifi calling. Which now works by the way. Saving $$ on a phone bill has actually freed up $ for other cool things/projects like doing some TV repair. Haven't felt any need to root actually. I use it for work big time now & don't want to complicate things. Moved away from Sprint which was the only issue with this ROM but you had a solution for that too.
Sprint gone now (on its way out)

Fixes and Additional Files
SMS/MMSDuring testing a few people had issues with sms/mms not sending after a reboot. The guys figured out a fix for this problem so I created a flashable fix which will be copied to your sd card upon flashing the rom. If you definitely have a problem sending sms/mms and it becomes a constant thing then you need to flash this fix. It's a simple edit in one xml file in csc. Simply flash AlternateSmsMmsSendingFix_UN7_Hybrid_by.txdbstx.zip
and reboot. That should fix the sms/mms sending problem.
==========================================================================
Root & SuperSU after a factory resetThe original SuperSU root package will also be copied to your sd card during the rom flash. You will need this if you do a factory reset because you will lose root. Simply flash SR1-SuperSU-v2.78-SR1-20160915123031.zip in recovery AFTER you have done a factory reset AND rebooted your phone at least once.
==========================================================================
Samsung GalleryIf your photo thumbnails disappear in Samsung Gallery then wipe the data and cache for Gallery in "Applications" section of Settings. This should fix the problem. :good:
==========================================================================
The Notorious TouchWiz Launcher Swipe GlitchFlash this UN7-TW-Launcher-Fix-by-tx_dbs_tx.zip and the bug will be gone. You can use any compatible TW launcher without worrying about the launcher swipe glitch. Remember, this fix took me a while to figure out. It should work on other N7 port roms that have the same issue. But please do NOT reupload or post other links to my fixes in other rom threads. Instead, direct people here to this post and make sure people understand that there is a real fix for this problem and I am the one who took the time to fix it 100%. Thank you and enjoy!
Kernels
I highly recommend that you NOT flash kernels from other N4 variants. They likely have different configs for those models. It's not worth it. If you didn't listen to this advice and flashed a different kernel and need to flash the original kernel, check out the recovery flashable kernels here.
==================================================Original Ultimate Note7 PJ1 KernelThis is the original PJ1 kernel that is specifically modified for this UN7 Hybrid ROM. if you know how... you would need to have two tar file.. one for baseband and one firmware.
---------- Post added at 04:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:12 PM ----------
give me a second.. i'll upload the PJ1 bl/fw for you...
---------- Post added at 04:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:16 PM ----------
here is the BL/FW i created:
uncheck auto reboot under Option on Odin app...
load the firmware or baseband doesn't matter which one is first... pull battery after you odin one of them, then reboot in download mode volume down + home + power keys at the same time. odin the other file, pull out battery then reboot into recovery then flash your rom... of course your rom has to be in External SDcard and make sure you follow Ops installation instructions.

[ROM] TeleNougat V4.5

TeleNougat V4.5 for Sprint
@tdunham managed to get the stock deodexed Nougat rom which is based on the Sprint QC5 7.0 Nougat Note 5. I have everything tweaked in this rom specifically for the s6+ Sprint users.
"Features:
- Pre-Rooted with Magisk
- Hotspot enabled
- Knox Removed
- ItsOn Removed
- Extra Toggles added
- MSL disabled in ##DATA menu"
- S8 Apps:
Calculator/Calendar/Camera/Clock/Contacts/DownloadUi/Email/Galaxyapps/Gallery/Launcher feat. Hello Bixby/Lockscreen/Phone/SamsungInterent/Messages/Music/MyFiles/Phone/Video/Voicerecorder
Known Issues
1. language settings inside of Language and Input fc. (the issue is in systemui if someone wants to play around with it, may not get fixed anytime soon since no one really changes it from english anyway.
2. Hello Bixby app (uncheck video to not get a fc)
3. Night Clock and AOD doesnt work (due to kerne)
ROM INFO
Since this is stock based, everything Sprint related works. (prl, profile update, wifi calling, voicemail)
Personally prefer you to be on QC5 everything first (check general section in you need help odin to Nougat stock.)
Fresh wiped phone is always preferred before installing roms.
Flashing tutorial if needed:
1. Grab a cold one. (Key step)
2. Boot into twrp and WIPE SYSTEM, dalvik cache, cache in TWRP before flashing
3. Flash rom
4. Reboot
*dont forget that Android 7.0 is API 24 which means XPOSED will not work, there isn't an unofficial or official build for it yet.*
Rom Links:
V2 TeleNougat_V2Final4/20
V3 TeleNougat_V3
V4 TeleNougatV4_4/27Build
V4.5 TeleNougat4.5
V4.5 changelog: since noone has been complaing about the test 4.5, here it is. Bixby is pretty much perfect (if fc, clear data/cache for the app) + a few sammy updates (NOTHING MAJOR FROM 4)
V4 changelog: updated ALL SAMSUNG APPS, added samsung members, samsung flow, reminder app, added media ui sounds for rom, Galaxy themes fixed, briefing tab in Bixby working, bootscreen, few edits in build prop.
V3 changelog: updated touchwiz, calendar, clock app, s8 ringtones & media, calculator, phone app, shealth root fix, etc from S8 port base.
V2 changelog: NewStuffAddons is now built in, debloated system, s8 lockscreen, more stock features in stock mms app, no fc for device maintenance (smart manager), 3mini battery/clock, etc.
V1 changelog: Stock Deodexed

Everything is working great. I dirty flashed, though, being on QC5 already is why I did. Saved time from setting everything back up again.

Just Curious?
Do you think there's a possibility of something like this being ported over to the standard galaxy s6 (SM-G920P). I just happened to stumble upon this while doing some google searches.
even i have flashed the 70m file still .can not use data and shealth

Question to OP or anyone who would like to give feedback: If I Backup my Stock-Rooted(SU) in TWRP, then decided to use this ROM, and then also Backup this Rom. Should there be any issues on going back and fourth between the 2? Thanks in advance to anyone willing to give me feedback on this!

Yes, if you install twrp without rooting with the Magisk-v12.0 zip. Stock recovery will replace twrp recovery at least it did for me. If you try to install this Rom without root in twrp I believe your get a not rooted error. You could try it? And also that Rom is prerooted FYI.
Is there a way to add Avatar for sent messages? I tried frash install and still no luck
Great Rom, Thank you!

I flashed the ROM and everything is working great, but how do I get rid of Sprint Hands Free Activation in the installed GT Idoneapps.
When I click on Samsung DM Manager all I get is :" idoneapps is granted super user rights. No permissions to enter OMADM Hidden menu"
Thanks Again .......great rom

what are you trying to do exactly?
Maybe that will help me. I clicked it and it said the same for me
So far so good. Is there any way to disable the data usage stats on pull down? I have unlimited and don't need it. It will just bug me. Thanks a bunch
EDIT: I figured this one out myself. I am including the change in case anyone else wants the data stats removed from quick settings.
1) use ES File explorer or another root explorer.
2) copy others.Xml from "system/ csc"
3) change permissions (not sure if needed but just to be safe)
4) edit others.xml. Near bottom are the new entries for mod and I just changed <CscFeature_SystemUI_SupportDataUsageViewOnQuickPanel>FALSE</CscFeature_SystemUI_SupportDataUsageViewOnQuickPanel>. Was originally true.
5) copy over the existing file
6) reboot
7) profit.
Thanks for Rom. can't wait to get it just the way I want.

The Rom hasn't had a battery drain impact in anyway for me. Thanks again it's running buttery smooth.
