As we're getting back into the thread game, keeping up with threads and updating them as per changelogs can be too hectic given our schedule. However, very detailed changelogs always go up on our Google+ page, follow us for constant updates!
Instructions & requirements
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano and Banks GAPPS work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit -
Once you have all the required files - boot into recovery and wipe the bananas out of your device. Get into the wipe menu and wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache (basically everything except Internal Storage).
Once wiped, get into the "Install from zip" menu and select the ROM zip. (pa_bacon_6.x...). Once added to the install queue, TWRP will ask you if you want to add more zips into the queue - Click on "add more zips" and select the GAPPS package.
Swipe the bar on the bottom to flash/install zips. Once both zips are done installing - Reboot into system and set-up your device, do not do anything else.
Once you're done setting up your device - well that's when you're done. One thing though - Make sure you DO NOT INSTALL any other zip in the same queue as the ROM & GAPPS. Meaning, do not flash anything like a kernel or a root package while installing the ROM. We recommend you do that AFTER you're done setting up your device.

to the good old days!

Welcome back guys,
I do have a question, is there any chance you guys have also given some magic to the camera? Because I thought you guys are affiliated with oneplus, maybe having access to the good stuff ^.^?
Don't currently have the time to reinstall my phone, so can't test it myself.
Kind regards,
domistroy

6.0.1 is a great update to 6.0, lots of issues ironed out that were plaguing the initial release, congrats and thank you!
I just think that the in-call volume could get a bit more love, I remember it being far louder on the previous ROM I used daily, Sultan's CM13. It is still too low and some static noise can be heard in the background while talking to someone.

I don't use themes to be honest, always tend to run Android the way Google meant for it to look and feel.
Maybe you should try reinstalling the theme itself and try again how it goes.

In that case I don't know really, mine is working just fine, no force closes even when I open the Themes app. The only difference from my setup and yours is that I'm always using OpenGapps, but yet again, don't know how would that impact the theme engine...
You probably have something else installed that might be causing it.

What camera blobs that this rom using??

Hopefully otg usb will work soon!
Thanks for the awesome rom!

Awesome you guys are back i haved always loved to switch roms from PA to CM back and forth because both roms are amazing and now i get to have pa mm on my opo The new boot animation is killer too

For those FCs with Themes and Themes Provider, please clear the apps data and reboot. It's in the G+ pages but probably needs a FAQ here too.
FWIW not all themes work, even with CMTE. I'm guessing some work is needed either in the TE side or by the theme's Developer

The previous build was EXT4 only, but they could have added it on the most recent one.
Hard to say for certain. The updater-script requires /system to be EXT4 though.
Can anyone confirm the latest build is EXT4 only as well?

How to use the layers theme engine
To use the layers theme engine please follow this guide in the YouTube video, but remember you already have the layers app built in to this rom, so you don't need to worry about joining the community or downloading the beta. See the XDA page below for available themes (you can also go to the Google play store and search "layers themes" - if you install themes from the play store make sure you open the theme after downloading and follow instructions from there)
Official MEGA RRO Layers Overlays Collection
Here is the youtube guide https://youtu.be/jfsVp57CSnY [/B]
You can make your layout look like this in seconds (Milos theme by spastef)
How to install
Factory wipe
flash latest cm 12.1 rom and boot up to homescreen (this step is only for people facing TrustZone/modem issues please see here for explanation)
Factory wipe
Flash XenonHD rom
Flash Banks Gapps Only!

Are you having problems with Lollipop not going in to deep sleep?
Users have reported these instructions below to work for resolving this issue
Starting from ColorOS 2.0.8 I had problems with the deep sleep!
Solve it the following way:
- Flash Coloros 1.2.7 / reboot / setup wizard (without gapps) / reboot / full wipe / Flash last Cyano 12.1 / reboot / setup wizard (without gapps) / reboot / full wipe / Flash Xenon HD / setup wizard (without gapps) / reboot / wipe cache and Dalvik / Flash Gapps / reboot........... Done !!
No more deep sleep issues
Thanks user carlinho
Personally, before I even connect to the internet at all, or restore any applications, I also go in to settings>privacy and turn privacy guard to *Enabled by default*
If the problem is still not fixed you could try the following method. I have also had device not sleeping issues. I think this is a widespread bug amongst a lot of 5.1 roms. The way I fixed it is by factory wipe, follow installation instructions again, then once booted, go to settings> privacy guard and set on for new installed apps. Then restore/re-install your apps. You can then go in to privacy guard and set your absolutely trusted apps to "allow" . Since I did this I have 4 x the battery life. No shiz!
It also doesn't help that Google OTA updates is causing device to "stay awake" because Google's SystemUpdateService keeps launching commands even if update system is not there. Some people don't experience as much battery drain as others. I am one of the unlucky people as well Follow my instructions below for a fix
1. Go to settings> Privacy> Privacy Guard - Now click on the 3-dot menu button at the top right and select "advanced"
2 Click on Google Play Services > scroll down and turn off "Wake up" and "Keep Awake" options
3. Reboot in to recovery > wipe cache and davlik and reboot
The steps above will help to an extent but I would also recommend doing the following if you are still experiencing battery drain
1. Download My Android Tools from here and open the app and do the following:
2. Click on "Service" tab on the top left and then click on "System" and then scroll down and click on "Google Play services"
3. Click on the full/short button at the top right > now click on the search button and type in "com.google.android.gms.update.SystemUpdateService" and make sure to untick this option
4. Click on the menu bar located at the top left of the screen so we can navigate back to the homescreen of the app >
5. Click on "Broadcast Receiver" tab on the top left and then click on "System" and then scroll down and click on "Google Play services" > now search for "SystemUpdate" and make sure all 3 of the options are unticked (it might already be unticked but it is just to make sure) - Now reboot

Edit: @uppon2 i have been away for a while and also from custom roms. Last rom used was DU 5.0, was flawless. Is music bug issue still around? i think CM still has it but does any of your roms have this or not? has it been fixed in 5.1?

Edit: anyone able to get 50mp shots working on this rom?
Compiling a new build. Will be out in a a couple of hours if everything goes to plan

Uppon2 please read bootmgr answer to me in this thread > http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/themes-apps/port-coloros-camera-cm11s-t3030369/page5
He says if correct string for device is added in cos camera apk, then find7 4k recording will work. .... Hot damn this is one off the last things we need from cos?
Sounds easy a re/decompiling and its working.
50mp shots 4k video and the maxaudio port ...then all is at place in lolipop
Edit:yes yes 50mp shots works flawless
Updated! Check OP

Instructions & requirements
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) and cache will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano work best.
(pa_gemini_6.x...). Once added to the install queue, TWRP will ask you if you want to add more zips into the queue - Click on "add more zips" and select the firmware package.
Swipe the bar on the bottom to flash/install zips. Once both zips are done installing - Reboot into system and set-up your device, after you've let it settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes, do not do anything else! Please let your device settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes after the first boot, otherwise the system wont boot after a reboot!
Once you're done setting up your device - well that's when you're done. One thing though - Make sure you DO NOT INSTALL any other zip in the same queue as the ROM! Meaning, do not flash anything like Gapps, a kernel or a root package while installing the ROM. We recommend you do that AFTER you're done setting up your device.

Installation is a bit fiddly. Have to follow instructions and give it a time to settle. Then you get an. excellent rom.
Exposed works very well.
Great camera. Take pictures while recording video
Fingerprint works better than any other rom.
Am staying Paranoid .
Thanks dev

Which gapps version you use? I was installing this rom, wait for about 10 minutes and install latest opengapps nano and it can enter homescreen for a while then back to bootanimation again.

We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimizations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.
Pie
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie
- Color engine
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pulldown
- Various performance and battery improvements
- Display Burn-in protection (for OLED screens)
- Pocket Lock
- More to explore
Device specific features for Google Nexus 5 (List is being updated):
- Replaced MPDesicion with a better & improved AutoSMP (improves battery life)
- aptX and aptXHD support
Note: Custom kernels are explicitly unsupported and will cause issues
unless they state that they are AOSPA compatible or AOSPA based!

Install instructions
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Pico work best.
Okay let's get to the main bit.
We recommend a full wipe.
Flashing order:
1. Back up to PC everything you would need (whole of Internal Storage including and not limited to
Titanium Backup folder, Music, Pictures, etc)
2. Reboot into TWRP Recovery
5. Format all partitions except the "internal" partition**
6. Flash AOSPA zip
7. Flash Gapps zip
8. Flash SuperSu or Magisk (optional)
9. Reboot System
** For F2FS on /data the internal partition needs to be wiped too.
First boot time would be about 3-4 minutes on an average.

Thanks for your work mate.
grabbed few screens.
Yes!!!
Thanks Bob will try and report soon !
Feeling kind of bad to deliver the bad news so fast, but i am stuck at Google logo. I doubt it is a ROM fault, more likely incompatibly between the CAF kernel and my chineese non-oem cheap screen I use. The logs are given below, if you could help me.
Thank you @marcomarinho!
You helped me out a ton as well. SafetyNet would still be broken on onyx were it not for you! Good job

What I did was mount /system and then remove some aosp apps using TWRP's file manager
Specifically Calendar, Email, Pa browser, and MusicFX. It worked
Gotta wait to see how this is going to work with ota updates tho

SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. Our main goal is to offer users a slimmed down yet feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam work together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by our public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
Slim7 is the project name for SlimRoms based on Android 7.1.x Nougat, which offers the following original features:
-Slim Navbar & Hardware key rebinding
--Single tap action, long press action, double tap action! - We’ve got you covered.
-Slim Actions & Chamber of secrets
-- Customise your device to the fullest - You’re a wizard!
-SlimRecents
--A faster alternative to stock recents - Your device, your choice.
-SlimLauncher
--An open source, feature filled launcher! - Make yourself at home
-Status bar customisations
--Clock and date? Battery? - More fun than you can shake a stick at.
Important links:
https://slimroms.org/ - Official website with anything SlimRoms related
Installation steps:
-You MUST unlock your device's bootloader in order to install Slim; I won't cover this area, however you can look it up here in the forums or ask me anything about it.
- Install the latest TWRP
- Download the latest build, gapps (optional). Place on internal storage or an sdcard.
- Reboot into recovery mode
- Wipe --> Advanced wipe --> data, cache, dalvik, and system. This is a clean flash, therefore you will lose your apps and their data; (sd and storage are not mandatory to wipe, so anything in there's going to be fine if you don't do it) remember to back those things up if you want to keep them.
- Install the build, the gapps and the root zip if you're going to root.
- Done! Reboot and enjoy. Remember the first boot always takes a few minutes.

Just installed Gravitybox and tested myself, looks like the same issues here. A reboot after applying some different settings didn't work, the only thing that seemed to work was brightness control under status bar. I'm compiling a personal build of Slim for my G4 Play and when it's done I'll try there too to see if it's an issue with the ROM sources itself or if it's phone-specific.

Gravitybox does say custom rom use is hit or miss so it's not surprising. I know slim is missing a few features so using gravitybox is desired, but still not surprised.

Like many similar modules GB works best on close AOSP clones. That said, it works fairly well on most ROMs excluding areas of direct overlap like navbar, quick settings and status bar tweaks. I ran Slim on a different device and don't recall significant issues with GB compatibility. But that was awhile ago; things may have changed.

I really appreciate it, thank you. I'm currently starting development of a kernel, but I plan on releasing a new update to Slim in a few days in case they update sources to the February security patch, and I want to include a messaging app and some kind of browser right out of the box, that way it's a bit more convenient when first setting it up. Someone also found a way to get LTE working for CDMA, only tested on Sprint currently, but we're going to be working further with that to try and incorporate at least part of the fix, I'm going to see if they can get a guide up on here for everyone for the rest of it

New update in OP. Nothing major, just a few upstream source changes. I personally like ROMs to be updated until the source stops updating, so expect a crDroid update soon too. Dot no longer is updating their Nougat branch (To my knowledge) so I don't think there will be an update for that, but I'll check regardless. In a few weeks I'll (hopefully) be releasing a custom Kernel I'm working on too if all goes as planned!
