Stylus m-pen pin - Huawei MediaPad M2

Hi everybody.
I'm Beate from germany.
The stylus m-pen is a fine tool, I use it for handwriting apps. But last week it tumbled on the floor and the pin was broken.
Huawei told me that there are no spareparts available and I should buy a new one. What? Those gooks.
Any idea?
How to pimp the pin, how to create my own one? I'm a goldsmith, but which material should I use?
Compatible pens?
Any experiences?
Thanks, best regards, Beate

Hi,
active stylus pens are in fact quite costly. There are some compatible ones to be found on Amazon. All are around 35 EUR, and some even come with spare nibs as e.g. this one:
https://www.amazon.de/dp/B013GI3LAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_HERCxbWSMSZFS
Sorry that I can't provide any better information.
Greetings

(Actually this comment was written on an M2 using the above mentioned pen.)

Huawei M-pen
Hi Beate, I too have a M-Pen that is in need of a replacement nib. I actually wore mine out with use, drawing mostly. I have tried making a new one from Samsung's s-pen tips and ones from the Microsoft Surface stylus, both with no success. I believe these are made from a conductive plastic and or rubber. Huawei's M-pen appears to be made from glassfibre coated in something.
I now plead with anybody who might have any information about the material used for these nibs. I am a craftsman so I have the ability to make a new one from most materials, I just need to know WHAT material. Better still something I can buy that us compatible, Maybe made for a digitizer stylus?

Nibs
These nibs are fully compatible with M-Pen nibs: Wacom REPLACEMENT NIBS FOR CS-320, ACK21716 (for Bamboo Smart CS320AK). Unfortunately they are kind of hard to find...

Thank you
I have managed to find dome of the elusive nibs from a parts supplier (NAASMALLS) I tried most of the european Amazon sitres plus a few more worldwide sites to no avail. So i now have a pending delivery i shall update when this arrives

compbination S-Pen and Pen

In my Palm Pilot through Tungsten T3 days I always had a combination Pen/stylus - are there any available for the S-Pen.
Really miss having one, just switch ends to write on the phone or paper.
There must have been a dozen on the market, yet nothing for the S-Pen - just dropping a business idea.
I agree.
I bought some el cheapo pens from China that have a stylus (not wacom), pen, torch and red laser pointer. Damned customs in Oz pinched 'em because obviously laser pointers are far too dangerous for us to have.
Idiots!
The last time they did something like this was a blowpipe I bought in Brunei. Apparently it is a 'weapon'. I had to ask how many blowpipe-related injuries had ever been recorded in Oz. As my mate said, if you wanted to kill someone, you'd get a gun, not a blowpipe!
Customs don't like me much
Im interested in something like this

That item IS NOT a combination writing instrument/stylus. It is a pen shaped HOLDER for the s pen. I should know. I own it.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I know, it's saying holder and stylus. So you put that extra stylus in the holder.
I also own this one. Its great, feels more like a real pen.
But my bad, this is not the anwser to aharmsworth's question.
But I have to say, I almost quit writing on paper since I have my Gnote

Stylus

Just got the Galaxy Tab S2 wifi version. Anyone using a stylus? Its hard to look for one that works and i want those pointy ones and not the rubber button thick tip.

I love using a stylus with my S2. I think I actually do so more than I used the S-pen on my previous Note devices. I am actually just using one of the type that you described because I found a few lying around. I wouldn't mind upgrading to a more... stylish stylus (heh) but the kind I'm using does work quite well. Let me know if you find a nice one that you like :good:
Personally I just use a cheap and cheerful stylus from the pound shop. Maybe one of the soft rubber ones that you don't want (it's dome-ended and semi-flexible, not pointed) but it works well enough and if it breaks or dents (the body is thin aluminium) then just replace it with a new one. My S2 case has a pen/stylus loop to store it, and for me it's fine.
My kids also use styluses (stylii?) on their tablets (Hudl's) - they have solid novelty ones that look like pencils but again work fine (although are a bit chunky and small for my adult hands).
So after checking out amazon and some local stores, I still have not found the best pointy stylus that I want but one that I can compromise with and some others.
The Adonit Jot Pro really works, but just worried about the plastic that it will eventually scratch enough of the screen.
The cross dual stylus is the one I compromised based on that it has a pen and the slim and firm rubber of the stylus. Can be slippery to use as a pen though.
Bamboo's smart stylus pen, though advertised to work for samsung galaxy devices does not work. I tried it at a local bestbuy.
But you could get the one from Bamboo with carbon fiber tip (not pointy) and that one works.
Maybe buying this in the future to just try Lynktec Apex Fine Point Stylus. It is advertised to work with galaxy tab s2 in the shopandroid website.
Hopefully you guys can find better than I do.
does this tablet have a pressure sensitive digitizer? someone on Reddit said it did...
Hey guys, I just got a pack of styli that I ordered from Amazon this AM and I'm finding them to be pretty nice in addition to a killer deal. I was doing some research on the topic and found a couple that looked good in a Lifehacker article, but checking out the reviews lots of people had some kind of beef with their recs and they were about $15 each. Browsing around Amazon lead me to these: http://www.amazon.com/Bargains-0-18...49936069&sr=1-2&keywords=bargain+depot+stylus which looked like they were worth a shot, so I grabbed a 4-pack for $9, because math.
So they just showed up about an hour ago, and I would definitely recommend them. The stylus itself has a bit of weight to it, so it feels like using a decent pen, and the tip feels like it's just the right size. In addition to a bag of extra tips that you can switch out if necessary, each has a cap also which I thought was a nice touch. So I'm not sure if this is what everyone's looking for, but if you want a comfortable/precise stylus you really can't go wrong here.
Does anyone have any stylus-centric apps that they frequently use? The S2 is my first non-Note device in a while, so I'm used to doing things with an S-pen that a stylus isn't capable of. I just DLed Google Handwriting Input and Squid (nice for marking up PDFs). I use mine just for swiping around a lot because I have a tablet stand that's a little far from my chair, but I'd interested in hearing about any other apps :good:

I use the Cross Samsung stylus/pen -- basically it is an C pen (not S pen) with my 8" S2 for handwriting on the screen - best handwriting programs for me FiiNote and LectureNotes and OneNote

That's the model I chose. Works well, not too chunky at the tip, and priced right.
Did u end up getting lynteck fine point.
OK, so how do you guys carry the stylus on your tablet? I'm using the Samsung book case because I love the thinness and the way the flaps work. I bought the Large Pen Loop by Arune on Amazon and just don't like the way the stylus just flops around when it's in the loop. I'm thinking of some type of leather or plastic sleeve that can stick on the case and the stylus slides into it.
I thought that a stylus don't work on galaxy's tab s2 9.7 lte alias sm-t 815... yet I See that a metallic thing work as a pen... with a pencil it don't work... this only could work with Wacom displays and a magnetic overflow...I'm confused. ..
im using the 'amazon basic' stylus and it works great with my s2 8.0...
But this is not this what I mean... If u heave headphones so u should try to use the tap with the jack plug as a pen so the spen also should work... I try it tomorrow

Thanks for the info Do your stylii deal with pressure sensitivity ? I plan on buying a Galaxy Tab S2 and use Medibang (drawing app) so I really need a stylus that recognizes pressure changes.
(sorry if my english was bad btw ^^)
is there a stylus bluetooth and an app with palm reject on s2 t815?
sorry for my bad english

You are never going to find a stylus for the Tab that will even approach the tip of the S Pen because the S Pen has nothing to do with the TouchScreen. The S Pen on the Note interacts with an electromagnetic screen placed behind the LCD screen in the Note. Tabs don't have that screen. Instead a stylus for a Tab depends on replacing the "capictance" of your finger with that of the stylus's rubber tip. Can't do that with a tiny tip.
However, if you read further down in this thread, you will find a stylus that does have a much smaller tip than normal. The only problem with them is that the tips must be replace every so often because their special capacitance quality "wears out" with use. Thus the replaceable tips that come with the stylus.

No, because the bluetooth receiver in the Tab would have no way to determine the exact position of the external bluetooth pen.

Fake S-Pen

I lost my s-pen recently for my SM-P600 so I ordered a replacement. It was quoted as being a EJ-PN910BWEGWW.
However what has arrived does not appear to be this.
1. No box - the picture of that part number is like this http://www.fonejoy.com/official-sam...ite-2in1-stylus-pen-inductive-pen-note-4.html (this isn't the site I ordered from) . Instead I got just the pen in a bag in an envelope. I have heard of retailers removing packaging to save delivery cost.. but read on ...
2. Pen flexes - as soon as I picked up the pen, it feels different to an official one (from memory of 2 weeks ago!). It flexes, and indeed even the button mid way down starts to come apart.
3. Pressure Sensitivity - it isn't. I use pressure sensitivity to draw/write. I've used the note range for 3+ years. This pen is NOT pressure sensitive. It draws with one pressure only rather than the 256/512 of an official s-pen. I've tried in lecture notes (standard pencils, pressure sensitivity on) and s-pen
My conclusion is that this pen is a fake.
Can anyone advise other checks/things to look out for? anything I may have forgotten/missed on pressure sensitivity?
Do samsung take any interest in fakes & retailers? Ideally I'd like to report the retailer to them as suspicious - but not if it's going to take years of my life going through a useless customer service nightmare...
Note this was a mobile outlet in the UK that deals in online and I've used once or twice in the past for small things, not an ebay purchase. Why? because I wanted a proper s-pen back!
Meanwhile can anyone recommend a "known good" source of replacement s-pens in/to the UK. I was somewhat suspicious of many of the ebay sellers. the closest I've found so far is that site above, but no idea if they are reputable.
I won't mention the retailer yet...

Hi Nigel,
I certainly believe that you've gotten a fake. According to the ad you posted, the dealer promises satisfaction guaranteed. Try returning it, and if that falls, contact Samsung. By the way, did you order the right pen? You're right-If you ordered a pen for the SGN 10.1 (2014), it should be very solid and should function well.
Anyway, I don't know if this dealer delivers to the UK or not, but I've not I had any trouble with eBay. You might try them. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Blessings,

Replacement S Pen

Does anyone know or have recently purchased a replacement S Pen? I've looked on Amazon and the only one that came across as genuine supposedly has no pressure sensitivity, and on Ebay it's the same seller. Everywhere else has either stopped selling them or they're out of stock. I have the full sized S Pen to hold me over but the offset is annoying.
I'm in the U.S. also
I got one from Ali. Works as original.

I've gone through quite a few of these third party replacents. Not one of them had pressure sensitive or replaceable nibs as the original. Contacting Samsung is a waste of time, as they prefer you to buy a new tablet when the pen dies.
Seriously, I went to an "offficial" parts website for Samaung S-PEN replacement. I couldn't even get a PART NUMBER from the site. IMHO, Samsung is leaving such sales in the hands of the very poor quality fakes selling all over.
I LIKE my Tablet. But the ONLY way I would buy another one with the S-Pen (which I love) is if the store I bought it from could prove that they could GET Spens, by sellingme a spare at the time! Samsung shuold maybe stop with the bajilion differnt models and SUPPORT the one time great products that they used to have.
Still want a working/not fake pen. ;-Deano
I feel your pain I caved in and bought a knock off on Amazon. It has pressure sensitivity but the nib is plastic and I feel like I'm scraping the screen everytime I write. It's the best we can get though :crying:

But I don't understand WHY Samsung actually REFUSES to let retail stores to carry them? They really seem to be pushing their owners support right out the door. It's not as if were so impossible to conceive of anybody losing a pen..
Who's writing THIS business plan...Trump? ;-Deano
I had the same problem. Tried to order an OEM from CompSource but turned out they were out of stock. Went for a knockoff. Its not bad, but its not good either. Sad that my Note is still very usable but the lack of a decent replacement stylus may force me to find something else.
If you like to use pressure sensitive s pen, you can purchase an s pen of note 3, note 4 or note 5 but of course they are not attachable to device because of their shape.
I lucked out and found the Wacom Bamboo Feel on eBay. Not cheap, but very sweet. AND it was made for this tablet!! ;-DeanoD
i did a quick search on 2 sites in uk handtec and hyper-direct and both have what appear to be original pens for the p600 and tabpro. There is no mention of pressure sensitivity but they are only £8.00 so i may pick one up to see. Since i also have the note 3 i can use that pen in a pinch but it might not be a bad idea to have a spare anyway.
I just did a Google Search and found a bunch of knock-offs, but eight genuine ones for the Note 10.1(2014) were there as well. The real McCoy isn't cheap, costing anywhere from $29 to $16. The reason Samsung doesn't market them is inventory. It costs them too much to have pens for a long out of production tablet laying around.
It looks like genuine replacement S-pens for the Note 2014 can be ordered from here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New...alaxy-Note-10-1-2014-Edition/32601677612.html
Not expensive, either, just $7.14.
Also, replacement S-pens are available on Amazon, in Canada and the USA.
Ebay is where I purchased mine - sealed bag - correct length of pen and replacement tips - which my original pen did not have. Very pleased. Cant post a link not enough posts. Seller was tech-24-2.
I also got the samsung Spen with Erasure from another dealer - used with a further 5 tips - that with my note4 means I have 15 spare tips - yipee a lifetime worth.

Case for M5 Lite 8"

Recently picked up a Mediapad M5 Lite 8". Having a hard time finding a case for it.
Looking for something like this. I don't want any kickstands or anything like that, just the linked type, specifically for the M5 Lite 8". A regular folio case without folding front would work aswell.
In the link, there's an option for "M5 MediaPad M5 8". I'm assuming thats the 8.4" version, since there's no 8" non-Lite version afaik. There are however alternatives for other 8" models. Does anyone happen to know if any of them would fit the M5 Lite 8" aswell?
Also, I need something available from an EU supplier, since the Swedish postal service has started charging an outrageous fee for handling parcels from non-EU countries.
Universal covers always fits badly, and I can't stand those elastic fasteners in the corners, so that's not an option.
Thanks in advance
