I've had Note 2 and OGP. I've actually had pretty much every phone on AT&T and I was phone exchange-oholic till I got the OGP. This phone has spoiled me and nothing in front of this phone seems appealing. I don't know why this phone doesn't get much love from AT&T, but IMHO, what this phone has is hard to beat. I don't think any phone comes close to being as good of a "package" as OGP. Just my .02 cents
err... Note 3 doesn't want to touch this....
I like my OGP but I would swap for note 3 within an instance. Y? simple note 3 is better in every depth other then the notification light. OGP is slightly sluggish and development support is very poor too.

Way to go being a ****ing troll! You're an idiot for coming to OUR forum to talk ****. Really? Now you're making me break the rules to slam your troll ass!
I will now return to my regular self.
I'm not going to lie, I'm really thinking of getting the Note 3, but only because my contract is up when it comes out. Plus I'm really looking for a phone that can possibly replace my OGP even though I really don't think the Note 3 will deter me from using my OGP much. Looks like a nice phone though all band wagonin' and such aside.
I only saw stats that say there is a new pleather back and newer (of course) processor. whats the price difference? It will be a long time before the note is a better value.
The Note 3 is on dif'rent Galaxy(coincidence), should be compared with G2 even it has a smaller screen but at least they uses same chips. Not with G Pro.
LOL @ replies. I was just referring to the size of the phones since the LG is still slimmer width wise. No the Note 3 is an awesome superphone and I am sure when I'm eligible for an upgrade in January I will pick one up, maybe. Don't like the fact it does not have wireless charging though. That is depressing. Still love the LG G Pro. What is up with the wireless charging though? Does LG have a patent on that? I know you can get a back for the S4 which I have but why not come with it out of the box? My LG G Pro's back cover is half as thin as the back cover with wireless charging for my S4 so I don't know why Samsung had to make it so thick. Kind of screws you for any kind of case for it.
While the note 3 is a better phone no doubt my next question would be to justify the what, 300-400$ increase in price. I bet that would be a short conversation...

Ofc Note 3 is better because it is launched 9 months later than OGP. 9 months is a crazy interval for phone tech development so just like OGP > Note2, Note3 > OGP. I would wait for OGP2 or LG Gpro2 whatever the name is. Hope they will add a pen to it
Didn't Samsung patent the usage of an included pen with the phone idea? Either that or no one wants to copy them.

Been seeing lots of discussions Note 3 has now made OGP obsolete. But not much discussion on the price. Even if Note 3 is much better, we're talking about $300 vs $100 (and even lower if you look online and/or negotiate this). If Best Buy will match Amazon's price, I might pick up OGP this weekend just cause it's such a fantastic deal!
OGP still has a better screen and more comfortable in the hand. I wonder if Samsung got rid of the S-Lag, if not it doesn't matter that the Note 3 has SD800 and 3GB RAM, OGP would be smoother to work with.
I just bought my G Pro last week, coming from a Note 2...wanted to move on before the Note 2's value tanked. I'm fully aware the Note 3 has more powerful internals, it's downright overkill in fact. But in this day and age, what the G Pro packs is more than sufficient. I consider the G Pro rather future proof for a good length of time in fact...having a 1080p 5.5" screen in a very reasonably sized body already puts it ahead of the next wave of 5" 1080p phones coming out. It packs 32 gigs internally out of the box AND has an SD card slot to boot. It has a decently loud speaker for speakerphoning, something that a lot of companies tend to get horribly wrong (like Sony). The camera is actually quite good, I especially like the true full manual focus that it has. I also hardly ever used the S-pen, so that makes that feature redundant to me. And the icing on the cake is that it's stupidly cheap for the hardware you get. You could get two G Pro's for the cost of the Note 3 at launch (looking at unlocked pricing).
Price is a big factor of course, it wasn't too long ago G Pro was on the pricey side. Main reason why I bought G Pro now, price drop. Note 3 is overpriced but hopefully price will drop within few months, will buy it then.

I'm getting a Note 3. I miss my Super AMOLED display, and I miss my S-Pen.
In fact, I have been considering switching back to my Note II till the Note III comes out.
The OGP is great, but to me still feels a little small compared to the Note II due to being narrower.
Note 3 is also going to have an 8 core (unless they give it a Snapdragon 800 in the US) and 3gb of ram.
I'm definitely switching even though I have not a single complaint about the Pro (well perhaps the screen is a little dull to me, and that thermal throttling is a pain). . I miss the screen on my note 2 and frankly I enjoy the galaxy devices. Also I find this device solid but perhaps a little boring? And no real development support ( I really miss flashing roms) .

Just use trickster mod to turn it off.

Note 3 looks great, but the Amoled screen will definitely burn in over time. G Pro won't have that problem.
Hate the screen of Samsung.

[Q] LG G Pad vs. Galaxy Note 8?

Any opinions on these two?
I currently have a GN8, and am considering switching to the GPE LG G Pad.
As far as I can see, biggest differentiators are:
S-Pen (+ for GN8)
Screen resolution (+ for G Pad)
Processor (+ for G Pad)
Batteries are same size (I think), but I am concerned that higher screen resolution might mean a hit there. More efficient (?) processor might balance this out (?)
Any other factors I'm missing?
This is an LG G Pad forum. The answer you will get here is to buy the G Pad. If you want someone to tell you to buy the Galaxy Note 8, go to that forum and people will tell you to buy one of those.
Really, for many people the major reason to buy the Note 8 is the stylus. Unless you plan to use the Samsung stylus a lot, then I would recommend the G Pad.
Also gpad is about 1cm less in width and might be easier to hold in one hand.
I will took the G pad or wait...
- Gpad has a better screen resolution.
- Gpad has a GPE version so ASOP rom (far better than TW)
- Stylus is not that usefull, I own a note 33 as my main device and I'm done with it...
- Gpad has screen problem but is far well build... (aluminium)
For me Note tab 8" and Tab 8" are obsolet and samsung will strike back with new device to compete with the new standard 1920x1200 screen
i took my gn8.0 to bestbuy to compare with g pad
and i decided to keep my gn8.0
first i dont like software button
and i think gn8.0 have better saturated color
i can deal with does issue because i really like design of g pad
and screen is little bit clear than gn8.0
but major issue i found about g pad is low screen brightness...
also i played some games g pad force to low brightenss..

G Pro case on G Pro Lite

Has anyone tried using a G Pro Case on a G Pro Lite? According to the specs, their dimensions are practically identical, and buttons etc situated at the same positions.
I'm unable to find covers made for GP Lite in my country, but if it will fit I can easily order a local G Pro one...
