Latest source for paranoid android can be found at http://github.com/aospa
For a non nexus device:

You will need your own device tree in order to compile.

[KK] [AOKP-based] UltraKK for Xperia M

This is a small project made by me in order to help people who wants to get KitKat on their Xperia M. This ROM is based on AOKP (Android Open Kang Project), with some additional modifications. This ROM is very smooth, with almost no lags.
Features:
Original AOKP features
CyanogenMod File Manager
Sony Apps (Music, Videos) - Album still getting bugs
NUI Kernel (thanks to @thichthat)
How to install: Same as CyanogenMod 11/AOKP
About dirty flashing: This ROM doesn't have CM11 backup script, so GApps will be wiped after flashing. Please reflash GApps after dirty flashing.

1. It's not based on latest sources. It's based on an very old build of AOKP (from July 2014).
2. No, the Stagefright bug wasn't removed (for more information read Answer #1)
3. It's not ported from any device. It's pure AOKP built by @FrOz3n.

Hey I like this ROM light and fluid, get the job done for some serious abuse of RIL..good job op..

Porting a nougat device tree and kernel to oreo (or mm to n)

What is the process of upgrading an older kernel and device tree to a new android version?
E.g. I understand that oreo has a new device tree layout - how do I see that, and once I have got it, where would I start to port oreo to a nougat tree and kernel?
Sorry if this is an silly question - this is the first time I have considered upgrading a device to an unsupported android version and I am not sure where to begin
I've seen this guide referenced before. Not a direct answer to your question though https://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/guide-android-rom-development-t2814763
