Are you guys using any good camera app instead of stock? Long time of saving photos is really annoying
This problem will probably be fixed on Marshmallow. Nevertheless, I still use the stock app.

I'm having an issue where it FC's everytime I try and take a picture
I'm having that same problem. Has anyone figured a way around it? I tried restarting my phone, but that didn't help.

What you can still do to upload for the time being is go to your gallery and share the photo through instagram. It acts as a post. I think the app works fine for people with a stock phone.

Probably true, but then I would have to choose... root or instagram.... Uh thats easy I prefer ICS and there's plenty of apps with Filters.
It's also force closing for me on Calk's latest FC24 ICS rom. I haven't tried it on GB. I'll probably flash Blazer 4.1 and see if it runs.
Can anyone with a GB based ROM tell me if it's force closing for you also? It only crashes when you try and take a pic. Hmmm...

Hi, I have a question. What do you mean by sharing it through Instagram and have it acting as a post?
I went to the gallery, shared an image, selected Instagram, but it took me to the "filter-apply" screen, which is the point where it force closes.
Am I doing something wrong? I wouldn't mind editing photos in another app and just posting them on Instagram, and I understood that's kind of what you meant.

When you share it via instagram it allows you to use the filters. Atleast it did for me. I was thinking about trying to flash to FC24 to see if it did anything but I guess it's not working for you either. Hmm, anyone wanna try on a GB build?

I'm flashing Blazer 4.1 (gingerbread) right now to see if it works. Will post update in just a few minutes.
(I was reading the reviews for this app on our device in the play store and all the people who have stock e4gt say it works fine btw.)
**Update: it's working on GB. It's a little flaky still but I am able to capture pics and upload okay. So it's definitely ICS or some combination of things on ICS. I'm sure it will be working when official OTA comes out. I'm going to go back to calk's ICS for now as I don't really care enough about instagram to use GB. I've been just fine without instagram since it came out, and I'll be fine without it for a while longer.

What's the "instagram advanced camera" supposed to be?
Is it possible? Or do I need to get a different messenger app.. if so .. suggestions?
Try tapping the picture. I'm not sure if that will work with TouchWiz, but it works with the normal Android messaging app.

Nope it doesn't zoom and let me pinch and zoom. I could download and then view.. but that is silly.

It only takes about 2 seconds to download the pic, not a big deal. If you don't want to keep the pic saved to your phone you can delete in 2 seconds after you look at it.

Its a ridiculous feature built into the Touchwiz messaging app - They so need to get rid of the automatic slideshow option -Not sure why these hasnt been fixed in an update yet -

Don't get me wrong, I think it's stupid....but just not that worried about it. Maybe this will be changed in the JB/Touchwiz update....

It installs gallery fc if u go in to camera strings but it does let. U take picture's

Just a heads up, the "ultra pixel" is a type of camera. It's hardware, not software.

I know it's hardware but it was showed in portal news, someone modified another camera app to compress 8mp photos to 2mp. Same pixel count but smaller image. So that's making difference in photo quality. That's what I mean by ultra pixel

You can modify the Vignette application and it will work. Done that and tried on Nexus 4 but I sucks in telling what is a good image and what is bad so I cannot tell the different much.
The other features would be also great.

I done this too but couldn't make app work. Edited app doesn't start on me. Just freezes when I open.

This is an epic idea. I have been itching to have ISO settings, really badly. That app looks like its for ICS, but that might only be because I read the first couple posts...

I'd like to see if this goes anywhere. I pushed the apk to my system apps and only got FC's on the camera over and over again, gallery was fine though.

I'm not a dev, maybe someone work on it. I pushed apk to system too, as it's based on aosp, I think these features are not imposslible for us. We need to get some attraction from devs :fingers-crossed:

what do you mean "crashing"?
Is it all camera apps or just the stock ?

I did. I then get access to the camera but the thing is when I try to flip the camera o the front, it ends up using the wide angle lens also a bunch of static is visible. When I try to switch into the wide angle lens properly then the app crashes.

If it's the same with all camera apps, swems like it could be hardware. It would be a good idea to know which ROM you're using though, since you might find it's a rom-related issue, and you can communicate in rom-specific thread. Try a camera app with manual focus and see if it works properly.
That makes sense to me, how can I find out what rom it is?
