Developers have a look at the post above and help develop new rom with same which has no any non working stuff...

Don't expect CM or any other Custom ROM with FP until Leeco decides to release its kernel sources. FP patches are for device specific and cannot be ported, I tried taking a look at Roms made for Redmi note 3 (MTK Variant) and even though it had the same chipset, couldn't get FP working (I ported CM).
Let's just hope Leeco will soon change its mind and give us the code, or just drop your hopes on greeting custom roms with FP.
Cheers.

I am a .net programer, I have done this in .net but I am a noobie in android

I guess this might help

[Request] For MultiRom Support For Xiaomi Redmi 1S

Request to all Developers for MultiRom Suport For Xiaomi Redmi 1S,
To install Multipal ROM In Redmi 1S...
Thank You!!!
You might be asking for "Dual Boot"?
Yeah...quite possible as there is already an opensource bootloader available by @balika01
But some developers should try to get it working perfect first !
But i wonder the possibility as our System Partition sizes are low....

Yes it needs kexec-hardboot patch for which kernel must be compiled. However this is not the only requirement. Our 8gb internal memory can be problematic for multirom. The Dev of multirom doesn't reccomend it on a device with SD card.
Moto E can handed dual booting then why not redmi 1S
What is with MultiROMs anyway? They eat up space and you're just going to use them one at a time. It's pretty much a hassle. It's like, I don't wanna use MIUI that much but it's so pretty so I'd make space for it and use XXXXX Custom ROM if I'm not with someone else.
I just don't get the hype about it. It exploits security features too.
Dual boot is useful when u r working in 1 ROM and when u need a bugfree ROM for daily
Anyone working on multi ROM?
This will b so wonderful .. But we need to port some other operating system eg. Ubuntu to our Redmi for making this dual boot thing useful.. That will make good sense to keep 2 different operating system on one phone

Genius Idea!!!!!Optimization!!!!Libraries builded by Qualcomm!

Hey guys, swimming in the digital web sea I found that Motorola uses Qualcomm Propretary Tools to build optimized DALVIK and BIONIC libraries,I found this here http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/mod-optimized-dalvik-binaries-t2932417,who who made the this post ported them from Motorola Moto X (Device with the same Soc of OnePlus One) because these optimized libraries by Motorola and Qualcomm can be ported between devices with the same Soc (ex:Motorola Moto X-OnePlus One;Motorola Moto G-} Xiaomi Redmi 1S) yeaaah I wrote Xiaomi Redmi 1S(our beloved Xiaomi Redmi 1S) and I found a similar post in the Moto G thread(here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2756227) so there is a possibility of porting. So,I'm asking to all the BIGGEST developers to port these libraries, now the two questions you are thinking about are:
1)What do this libraries do?I don't want to be very technical,so I'll be very focused :They give more PERFORMANCE and BATTERY LIFE,and I can guarantee (with all the other user of these libraries on other devices) that it's true because I'm trying the on my dad's OnePlus One and the affect the device in a so positive way
2)Who will port them? We'll see who will
It's compiled proprietary blobs. They can't be ported. They just working or not working.
Actually there is no reason why it shouldn't work on CM11 based ROMs.
UPD: info from second link is actually quite interesting; maybe our dev's would try to do this (if they not already using it ofc, lol).
not sure about Dalvik as devs are moved to develop lollipop rom, so maybe ART binaries could be help...

3.10 Kernel

Hello guys i found this thread about 3.10 kernel for msm8974 devices :silly:
since it's the same hardware SOC why not porting it to our klte :fingers-crossed: also if we managed to we could have treble also and a lots of new improvements what you think ???:highfive:

would be nice if you posted the source of the kernel , for a kernel dev to take a look at what device it came from and if the hardware are the same , 2nd there are several variants of the msm8974 SOC family . for example the 1+1 is a msm8974 the Note 3 is a 8974 but if you flash either kernel on the s5 thats a insta-brick.
Now that could help us out is if the device you found went from let say kernel version 3.4.xx to 3.10 with kernel patches/updates that right there could be possible for the s5 and that is not even a sure thing . at best its a possibility but sadly the way i see it S5 won't ever get treble. best if you saved some money and on the budget side grab a brand new Mi A1 or Mi A2 , easily unlock bootloader and treble the device up with the twrp recovery ( A1 ) not sure about A2 ( saving up for that as we speak ) and then just flash away any gsi roms you like the support's the a/b style partitions .

Hello. I started merging Linux 3.5 into our device's kernel source from 3.4.0. I managed to resolve some conflicts and only mm and kernel subsystems are left. It's still a long way though, it won't build right away

Redmi note 8 pro development.

As the kernel sources are released for rn8 pro, is there anyone who is working on twrp for it???

I think there will not be any development so soon since the kernel resources were not fully released. Atm, I will wait for unlocking bootloader and global rom.

It's a Mediatek phone, so don't expect any custom ROMs.
Take a look back at the Xiaomi phones released with Mediatek chips and see how little support from developers it got

Exactly. The only fully working custom is Xiaomi.eu which is based on stock firmware with a few tweaks.
Redmi Note 4 MTK was released with Android 6 (Marshmallow) and never received a working Android 7 (Nougat).
Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon was also released with Android 6 and received Android 7 (Nougat), Android 8 (Oreo), Android 9 (Pie) and there is already an Android Q beta version released.
The choice is simply: If you want a custom ROM don't buy Mediatek

Let's wait, we never know! The (partial) source code release is a step forward. I think that the "missing" code parts have with the LCD to do and not with the chip anyway.

There are many differences :
- Xiaomi never released Kernel sources on Note 4 (MTK), you can find Note 2 and 3's on their GitHub (very tardily released), but not Note 4's...they already release Note 8 Pro's
- Xiaomi didn't sell Note 4 in western countries...now they officially sell many devices in Europe.
- most western users bought SD625 version instead...MTK community wasn't that big
Sources are there, now Mediatek need a "best seller"...unless that, custom rom won't exist
In past, a team succeed in doing rom for several Mediatek's devices (M.A.D. Team)

Good morning ,

No or few development for Xiaomi with Mediatek processors.

Custom rom MIUI better than stocks with for example the call recorder and other features absent on stock roms.
