There is a way to root LG K10 (k420n)? - LG K10 Questions & Answers

Hi all, I have the LG K10 (420n) version and I would like to root it.
I saw an answer from the user (iPp350z) on LG K10 threads that he could root his phone without problem with KingRoot.
And if something could happend during the proccess (fail on boot, ie), there's a way to recover it?
Otherwise, there is an official stock ROM (no rooted) from lg for this model? (not stock roms from phone companies = they include their own bloadware apps)
Thanks!

Our phone has the "OEM Unlock" option under Developer options, so I think it will be helpful for root, no?
Nobody tried it and unlocking it by ADB (Fastboot), and then installing SU bunary by TWRP?

Me neither, but maybe you should try and let is know... I tried OEM unlock only and some one click root methods, which failed.

I have the lg k8 and i flash twrp but i cant root i think supersu is not compatible or may be is the twrp

Rooting is not as easy as you think. It's being done by lots of trial and errors using Reverse Engineering. So, you guys have to wait more longer just to release the Exploit and let us hope that there will be someone will try to make one.

There's a good way to root LG K10 = KingRoot. I have done that with it and rooted my phone in just 1-2 minutes. And without unlocking the bootloader.

Has anyone tried this method mentioned above yet? If so have you turned your phone off and back on after rooting this way? Cuz I made the horrible mistake, like many others, who rooted using kingroot and it bricked my phone. Fortunately I had only had it for a couple days so I was able to take it back and swap it out for a new one for free. But I don't want to make the same mistake twice so I need to make sure the next root method I choose actually works, with no errors.

I have do the root with KingRoot, and the device is not blocked i tried to replace it with SuperSu with terminal, but I did not succeed.
EDIT: Don't Root with KingRoot, the device it becomes very slow.

Hi all,
my phone is lg k420n - SW version V10c-EUR-XX - kernel version 3.10.49 - CPU Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 - Android 5.1.1
I have successfully rooted my phone with these steps:
Enable USB debugging and OEM unlock in the developer options.
Enable unknown origin and disable verification applications in Security .
Root with latest version of kingroot.
Reboot device.
To replace kingroot with Supersu i used Replace_Kingroot_With_SuperSU.zip(I can not post links, search w0lfdroid replace kingroot with google for guide and download necessary files).
Note:
Copy only the mrw folder in the internal memory.
The terminal will perform a series of operations by reporting some errors (it is normal).
When Supersu asked to uninstall other applications that may create conflicts, click CANCEL and not OK.
The installation should be completed successfully.
Update su binary normal, then reboot.
Manually remove Purify.
This is my experience.
Sorry for my english, I write from Italy.

You have rebooted phone? If you install an app that requires root that happens?

No look what happened is that it said I had root when I tried to root it with KingRoot and I wanted to make sure it was and I got root checker and that's when It said I did not have proper root acesss and so what I did was reboot my phone to see if maybe that would help and that's when it said it failed and I'd have to try again.

Kingroot working?
Hello, has anyone tried this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3049772

I am not expert also more done advanced research in deepweb and normal internet and means of making root has, so that those who did not want to share in a Chinese or Japanese site know it, I found 2 ways to do root in this blessed k10, however the k10 android version 6.0 need to remove the encryption manufactures that comes on the device and unlock the bootloader. sure I got bootloader unlock the problem and critografia that even in so not thought to take on the extensive research only shows how to remove the critografia the nexus 6. else who has k10 model k420n android 5.1.1 can do root unlocking the bootloader and use kingroot pc version. note even with k420n k10 make q encryption this off in "Settings> Security> look into encryption" if disabled and so do q quoted

Actually, if you research on YT, you have a vid from dom133 and he unlocked the bootloader and rooted the device without problem with Linux. You just need a copy of Ubuntu and follow the instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vL14_XPrMzs
I did it and I got no problem.
Tips for installing PyUSB: Read the README.rst file in the zipped folder of PyUSB (extract it to avoid any problems)
AND MORE TIPS: If you want to install LOS (LineageOS), you need a special kdz firmware with specific KeyMaster files so your phone can go to the welcome screen once you boot the first time: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-k10/development/rom-lineageos-14-1-t3636403
Go on the How to Flash/Install section where it says the stock ROMs you need to flash to continue with the installation of LOS. Flash it using TWRP used from the method above this post

I dont know man , it's because Kingroot works in cell (in case my Z1 worked without any problem) with locked bootloader so I'm wondering if anyone has tried . Or can try ...
yes and no
in lg lg k10 420N works with the bootloader unlocked more with kingroot version pc. Now for the other lg k10 android version 6.0 only works unlocking the bootloader and encryption disabled manufactures, woe to the rootar by "V2 + DP + root.exe". the problem and still not found how to disable encryption manufactures

Can't install any ROM (custom or stock) after messing up trying to close bootloader.

Hello guys,
I was having problems with random restarts at low battery in my MZ2P, so i decided to try a custom ROM, choosing the FireHound.
After days i've noted the problems was still there.
Realizing that it should probly be a hardware problem, i was trying to close the bootloader to send it to Motorola.
That's where i probly made some mistake.
Tryed a lot of tutorials, but seems like im in the latest version and FASTBOOT won't downgrade the OS (Preflash validation failed).
After lots of trys, i got it stuck at "your device cant be trusted" screen, and can't find any stock ROM that work.
Managed to get TWRP Recovery flashed and got access to it, but can't install any ROM because of error 7.
Any ideas?
PT- Ola Pessoal,

Try looking at this youtube channel: Rocha Tech.
More specifically, this video:
(This will help you how to correctly relock your bootloader with the latest firmwate, so, don't use the firmware used on the video)
If you want, look at the other videos, there's one where you'll be able to see how to correctly flash stock rom:
And, ofc, everyone wants the latest firmware, and there is it: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410932744536987421

Rooting and unlocking bootloader on J4?

Sorry, I noticed there's already a thread about this, but I'm just very confused.
I had a Moto G2 before this and it was easy to root because of all the development there was for it, but here I can't really find how to unlock the bootloader.
Maybe it's too selfish, but if anyone could provide me a step by step guide on how to do this I'd be super grateful.

Irei postar aqui a baixo as instruções:
Primeiro configure o adb no seu pc ou laptop. Faça o download do arquivo "adb setup .exe" do xda. Pesquise no Google o arquivo zip "platform tools" e baixe-o.
Agora inicialize o sistema.
"Hello! I still think there are ways. However, I cannot say how. Even because I have the same problem, yet! However, I saw a tutorial that instructs you to perform a method, which I haven't yet seen if it worked. I'm looking for a video to prove that the method really works. I will post the instructions below:
First set up adb on your pc or laptop. Download the xda "adb setup" files. Search Google for the zip file "platform tools" and download it. The Twrp recovery image file must be downloaded according to your model (Here is vince others might have whyred).
After installing adbsetup.exe, you need to extract the platform tools zip file. Now hang up your phone. Keep the volume pressed and the power button to obtain the Fastboot logo. Open adbsetup and type "y" every time.
In the platform's tools folder, open the command window and type "fastboot devices" to check if your device is connected. Then, type "boot fastboot <recovery path>" it will boot into twrp recovery. Install the recovery image file twrp and lazyflasher.zip with the magisk zip. Now boot the system."

Hello,
I think your first command is NOT "boot fastboot <recovery path>" BUT "fastboot boot <recovery img>"
This all works fine until the moment until it says:
"FAILED (remote: Flashing is not allowed in Lock State)"
So one needs to unlock bootloader first. There is a tool on the miui website but this tool only works WITH a inserted SIM Card AND a MIUI Account.
Maybe there is another way to unlock bootloader WITHOUT having a SIM Card and WITHOUT MIUI Account. Which I would be interested in too. But unlocking bootloader has to be done first.

1. Never relock your bootloader. That's a good way to brick your phone. You never need to relock it to take OTAs, you just need to flash your stock firmware.
2. You can try the command fastboot -w
If that doesn't allow your phone to boot up afterwards, you need to flash your stock firmware. If your stock firmware refuses to flash, you're bricked.

Just as @Spaceminer and @sd_shadow have correctly noted, the "bad key" notification you are getting is not an error of any kind. It is synonymous to Motorola's legend "WARNING: YOUR BOOTLOADER HAS BEEN UNLOCKED" logo screen seen on older Moto devices. Motorola does not sign the majority of their firmware packages (the LMSA device recovery firmware packages are signed by Motorola, as @sd_shadow has noted). So, any time you flash the /boot partition with an unsigned image (and/or the /recovery partition on non-A/B devices), you are going to receive the "bad key" and sometimes the "N/A" notification. But again, this is not an error notification. It merely indicates that you flashed the /boot partition with an unsigned image, which is permissible on oem unlocked devices. @sd_shadow's link above is an excellent guide on using LMSA, with download links for the LMSA utility and device drivers.
