who can help me to unlock bootloader of ZC550KL (Android 6.01 TW version)? - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

who can help me to unlock boot loader of ZC550KL (Android 6.01 TW version )?
I tried many solutions in these similar threads but all failed ?
My phone firmware version : ww_8989_13.8.26.28_20160425
Thanks in advance for your helpful!

You can't be on marshmallow and unlock bootloader. Flashong mm relicks bootloader and no unlock yet. So if you want unlocked bootloader you have to downgrade to Lollipop.

Everything is explained and available on this thread, research is the best way to handle it, as there are multiple threads here for accomplishing what you want to do. I am not going to yold your hand here, before you attempt changes you should have reasearched completely what you want to accomplish, there is 1 and a half years of experience on this thresd to cover anything you would like to do so read and learn

Go to asus official website and then go to download section of driver n tools...then download according to your phone's model. Asus provides its official bootloader unlocker in their download section of official website.
Hope it will be helpful enough.

Does Flashing SGH-I747 4.3 to a custom ROM will remove the carrier lock of the phone?
No, you are Still locked to your carrier
Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
Couple of things to keep in mind:
1) if you want to unlock the phone, get a code and unlock the phone while running a stock ROM. You will not be able to enter the code using a custom ROM; and
2) do not attempt to downgrade the bootloader. Any attempts to downgrade could, and probably will, brick your phone.
Does this really works?
I have read through the forums. And I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/themes-apps/app-galaxsim-unlock-1-02-jb-compatible-t1846451 Does this really work?

I doubt it. If it did, there would be a big thread about it in the i747/i747m forum. Also, under FAQ, it states the following: support international Galaxy S3 i9300 (Us qualcomm based GS3 are not supported at this time)
The last post in that thread was 2013-06-14.
That unlock app will not work as it does not support U.S S3 variants
There's a working downgrade to 4.1.1 check it out and while on it, try the free unlock then upgrade again
Edit: my bad.. You can't do the free unlock even of you downgrade because the bootloader is still 4.3... Only way to do it once you're on 4.3 bootloader is to purchase an unlock code
Good luck

Kitkat OTA

I have an m on jb rooted with safe strap is it possible to let it take the OTA to kitkat then root with tr and unlock the bootloader? If it can update will it give me the version that can't be unlocked? If I can't do the OTA how else can I get it on the right version of kitkat?
This has everything you need... Use rsd lite to upgrade to kk make sure you upgrade to 182/183.46.10 so you can unlock the boot loader

Do you have a link to a download of the kk software? I'm at work looking at this on a phone don't see a link in that thread to it

Read through the thread linked to above and make sure you understand. There have been many people getting stuck at .15 and we don't want you to be one of them!
Firmware for use with RSD Lite: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=8 . Note that unlike OTAs, flashing with RSD Lite will make you lose your data and your internal storage contents - back up first. Use the 183.46.10 one, and if you want to unlock your BL, DO NOT TAKE THE OTA TO 183.46.15! I SAY IT AGAIN, DO NOT UPDATE TO 183.46.15!!

So flash this file using RSD Lite afterwards phone will be on the version of KK that can be rooted with TR and bootloader unlocked with motopocalypse. Then can install custom recovery. I thank you for your help

Huh? The firmware's version is KitKat. You need the full firmware to be on KitKat and unlock your bootloader.
Bonus info: after upgrading to KitKat and unlocking, if you find KitKat's battery performance isn't satisfactory, you can always downgrade back to Jelly Bean using the guide in General section, and because this will not relock your bootloader, you're safe to do this.
If you have any trouble doing the above, read through the guide and other forum posts, and if no answer comes up, feel free to ask.

I wrote that the wrong way. What I mean is the firmware file listed is a 750mb file. For my m8 the 4.4.4 firmware update was only 24mb. This leads me to believe that this file includes a kk rom to go along with the firmware. Read a little more(light bulb went on) I thought firmware and roms were always two separate things. . . Duh now I understand why just the one file is needed. I will give this a shot when I get up. Thanks for the help again. Sorry I was asking the wrong question ☺
Thanks andyyan and dbreezy187 all worked out got it done eventually ☺

Ha, he hasn't unlocked his BL yet, so just let him upgrade and do it. After unlocking BL he can still downgrade to JB and maybe even flash CM11 for JB BL (and that's what I recommend).

Thanks again for your help. Now that I'm all unlocked I've seen a lot of stuff about jb and kk bl. I would assume I have a kk bl? Then if I downgrade to jb would have a jb bootloader. Do you have a favorite kk rom and a favorite jb rom? Is downgrading any more difficult than doing all the unlocking? This phone isn't my daily driver just kinda having fun with it ☺ sorry for the barrage of questions you seem waaayyyy more knowledgeable than I. Thanks again

The BL version is the same as your *stock* OS version, so because you now have stock KitKat, you're on KK BL. However, BL version is *not* tied to your custom ROM OS version. You can have KitKat with JB BL as well.
Please do note that some custom ROMs are built for a specific BL (e.g. CM11 has JB BL and KK BL variants).
As for now, it seems that most if not all ROMs for KK BL have minor but annoying issues, particularly in WiFi, BT and GPS, so if you want to avoid these issues, you can follow the guide in General section to downgrade to *stock* JB (in order to have JB BL - this will not relock your BL), then flash any JB BL ROM you want.
I'm always a CM fan so I load most of my devices with CM (see my signature), but if your RAZR is also a secondary device, you can try all the choices out there without worries, so why not?

Hmm, what do you intend to do? If it's flashing something in the AP Fastboot mode (e.g. boot logos, raw partition images) then no ADB. Custom recoveries and the OS itself accepts ADB commands pretty well, provided that you know how to use.

Looks good. Since you have a unlocked BL, there's near zero risk for trying anything (RSD's your best friend when everything fails) - go ahead if you feel adventurous.
Since I don't know what boot logost and raw partitions are don't think I'll need it. I know enough about adb to be dangerous ☺ I can usually bumble fk my way through and get it to work. Thanks again I'll give some of this stuff a shot and have you on speed dial if I really mess up

G3 is easy to root and bump (install TWRP)
Bootloader is locked and Bump gets around the lock.
Root using the correct tool for your model check original dev section
Flash Bump'd twrp using flashify and your golden
The lollipop is official for most devices except carrier specific which i'm unsure about

If you mean bootloader unlock, you can do that from here... Search for one click bootloader unlock. Just be aware that once unlocked you CAN'T relock bootloader... If you want root then easiest is to use Shakalak's pre-rooted rom in Android Developement section of the forum... You don't need bootloade unlocked to root your phone however if you want to replace recovery with TWRP and install custom rom/kernels then you need to unlock the bootloader...

Even with locked bootloader, the ROM could be based on the stock of the appliance as I mentioned in the first with improvements.
Not this happens, or root for Android M in H818P have.
