Taiwan H815 model bootloader unlock help - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,i recently got the LG G4 coming from a G3
Trying to unlock the bootloader of this phone i saw that the Taiwan model that i have isnt supported
I am thinking of what i can do to unlock my device
I thought a possibility would be to flash the european image on my phone in download mode ?
Or enter a different IMEI to my device when LG Website asks me to enter it
If you guys have any luck with the other international versions of LG G4 please let me know
Thank you very much

Lg is never goin to support any other model than what is stated already.

I know a developer in korea they say all Internationals models of G4 will have bootloader unlocked although he doesnt recommend it but it will be available.. He may not be sure of other carrier varients currently lg is working on it and its status will be available on their site when finished

Its one of those ill believe it when i see it. Now i know. There have been plenty of phones and tablets get unlocked officially and unofficialy 1.2.even 3 years later. I just know the encryption that the bls have on them and its bassicly unhackable. Thats why i say exploits. Unless someone finds the trusted key that lg uses. Which from what ive read. Is generated randomly from each iemi and android id. But i for one hope it happens and if ita any consolation that does revive my hope in g4 development. Lol i got a lg k7 unlocked and u can oem unlock then fastboot oem unlock. But theres absolutly no development for this device yet. Im bakin up a rom for it now

LG G4 Versions - H815P??

Hello, I understand that a model can be specific to certaing regions, due Radios, etc..., But I am totally confused now, as there are way too many versions of the LG G4.
For instance, I am seeing that LG Mexico is announcing the H815P model, I wonder if this model is very different than the standard version (H815)?
Carriers in Mexico tend to add too much bloatware to their phones, would it be able to add a very stock version of the firmware, even though it is for another version, F.i. H815?
Thank you
Not sure if this matters or not, but my (South African) LG G4 is model H815P

Does your SA version of the phone have pre-loaded bloatware? Is it carrier specific?

Can you (or any other H815P users) share your IMEI with me via PM? Feel free to leave the last 4 digits if you wish to stay "anonymous".
Having IMEIs of every single variant allows me to keep track of things without needing to wait on users. I won't hold it against anyone for not sharing... but it would be much appreciated if someone could. :good:

thanks. H815P has no root at all? Even on Android 5 Lollipop? If no one's made a pre-rooted system.img for H815P I can look into getting one for you guys.
No root on Marshmallow though due to locked bootloader. Nothing available as of yet anyway.
I bought G4 on Chile, version H815P. Came with V10a. Updated trough LGUP to 10d as corrects lots of things.
Battery for MM (for me) it's just awful. I tried 20c 20d 20e.
You can flash H815 KDZ to H815P

Thanks. That would be much appreciated. Even Low Effort Root doesnt seem to address the H815P. Updated OTA to MM V20d now, think will stay on it till a solution is found. :fingers-crossed:

LG G4 H815 American Ver?

Hi i bought a lg g4 used, and the software says euro. sw orginal version is: lgh815at-00-vx10b-global-com-may-01-2015 and sw ver info is: h815x10-eur-xx, when i tried unlocking the bootloader it said it is an american device. I thought american lg g4 were h810/811/etc. Im a bit confused so if someone can guide me, I would really appreciate it. I am trying to unlock the bootloader and root my phone. Since lg wont let me unlock bootloader, i just want to root it and which model rootedimage do i use?
Lg made a carrier free GSM H815 version for the US. Sounds like the seller flash a euro version KDZ over the US hardware to make it appear as a euro version. However, since it is not a true Euro version, it can't be bootloader unlocked.
Use the H815EU root method.

Yeah. Unless you have a preference for CM/AOSP, I would root it and install Xposed with the G4 Tweaksbox and go with that. Pretty much the same as the current ROMs that are out there now.

US Variant H815 rooting question

Before anyone asks, yes I've searched, but have not been able to find any solid answers. So here I am. I just bought an LG G4 from ebay, I was listed as a T-Mobile model but when it arrived, I discovered it was a US model H815. It's running vx10b-eur-xx. These apparently have locked bootloaders. My question is, is there any method I can use to root this device and run a ROM like CM14, or am I stuck with what it's got? Like I said, all my searches never really come up with a for-sure answer. (hopefully this is in the right spot)

i think theres no american h815 i would returned for misinformation.
no cm only root if you are on lollipop.
unless its one of the europeans models that can be unlocked. serach for LG G4 than can be bootloader unlocked and chek if yours is one.

Apparently there is a US Variant H815, when I attempted the unlock the bootloader the LG developer website stated that the device could not be unlocked because it was a US model. Not the exact quote, but close enough. Thanks for the reply though.

How to unlock bootloader without official method

Hi guys,
I have a LG G4 H815 with android 5.1 (Since the bootloop issue affected, im using 4 core fix). So it seems i cant unlock my bootloader from official method. When i enter Device ID in developer site it says "Unfortunately, your device (Singapore(ARROW(SINGAPORE))) does not support unlocking the bootloader." After some search i found that LG stopped giving bin file for this model. So are there any way to unlock this bootloader since i need to install marshmallow and the bootloader should be unlocked to to root marshmallow. If anyone knows to unlock bootloader unofficial way, please be kind enough to share it :3. (Sorry for my bad English)
Thanks! Have a good day!

Rogers Bootloader unlock/model number.

Hello.
I was thinking of getting an LG G4 as an upgrade from my shattered Huawei y6, but I was wondering how easy it would be to unlock the bootloader on the Rogers (Canadian) variant. I can't find anything on this. Also what is the model number for that phone?
Thanks for your time!

You can't unlock officially the Rogers model. The only ones are h811 which is T-Mobile US and h815 international(!) version.
There is a way to unlock unofficially with limitations which can be found in my signature
Besides this you should know that depending on the manufacturing date you will suffer from a hardware issue. Just search for bootloop g4..
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs
Rogers phones are now 6 or 7 #?series I wouldn't would about bootloop
Although I avoided Rogers got an American phone because of bootloader
