Hi. Can you tell how you did it? Booted from a USB pendrive or from MicroSD?
Does the stylus digitizer with pressure sensitivity work?
Thx!

I found this on the Goog last night after seeing this thread.
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/remix-os-for-pc/D67FhZpMAvQ
I haven't gotten any further than wiping the Vivo as of yet, but I'm hopeful. Some say the stylus works. We'll see I guess. Also, the post is from March so I assume this is for Remix 2 but I'm going to be bold and try it with Remix 3. Let me know how your attempts go.

3.0 wouldn't even begin to install for me but I was trying to install onto a SD card. I WAS able to load 2.0 onto the SD card but it wouldn't boot. I finally installed 2.0 onto the internal storage and it booted right up. So far WIFI worked and I just jumped back into Windows to finish off the fixes outlined on the google page. It looked pretty and ran smoothly for the limited amount of time I had it running so far.

APP-11 June 2010 - Magic Poker - Fun new free app

I've created this thread for a friend of mine "Jonathan" as he's developed an app for WP7. He has also ported it over to the Android and is currently working on the same for WM6.5! It's a Magic app that is pretty cool. Check it out and if you have an Android phone or WP7 emulator, be sure to load it up and try to find out how it works. Send your guess's to him if you think you know his tricks. Have fun! Thanks again Jonathan. See below..
I developed the app on windows phone 7. The Android app is the same as the WP7.
Here is the video below.
http://www.youtube.com/v/AUCgcq-Ps_U&hl=en_US&fs=1&
Now the android version is on android market as a free app. It's now v2.0, and tested well on 2.1 & 2.2. Not sure about 1.6 & 2.0, but seems can't work on 1.5. The secret of the trick is hidden inside the app, maybe you can guess by yourself how the trick works or try to find the solution somewhere in the app.
Hope you guys will like it and wish you have fun! Thanks!
i guess he is using the capabilties of the microphone to record what cards they are mentioning, since they are saying what cards they have.

I thought so too, but he specifically mentions he's not using a microphone (or actually, he says he uses only the emulator / mouse).
I think it has to do with where you click on the screen:
If you divide the screen into 4 columns (hearts diamonds spades clubs) and 13 rows (1-10, J Q K) you have a 'roster' on which you can click the correct card.
Note that he doesn't click straight away, he first moves the mouse for a few seconds (which looks to be pretty precise)

The place where I click on the screen really matters. But devide it into so many parts is hard for me to control.
Maybe the video is not very clear about all the things, you can check some screenshots here.

Is there a way to run Smartwatch 3 on Windows 8.1 ?

Hello!
I just bought one of these Smartwatch 3 but I do not own an Android phone. I was wondering if there was a way to run the smartwatch app on Windows 8.1 and if anyone here has ever tried it? Is it even possible to use the watch without the app?
Thanks for your help!
You could try Bluestacks or a similar Android emulator. Another potential option would be to dual boot Remix OS.
Thanks a lot for your answer drakonizer! Yes, I was thinking about Bluestacks or AmiDuOs but I was wondering if the Bluetooth connectivity would work the same with a PC as with a phone....
Dual OS boot sounds like a good idea as well
I'll try and let you know

Chuwi vi10 plus (remix OS) freezing

Hello,
3 days ago I received CHUWI vi10 plus tablet with REMIX 2.0. OS. The problem is that the system is freezing like every 5-10 if I´m doing anything (its necessary to reset it with long pressing the power button). In developer options I changed GPU rendering to enable and it seems that it a helped a bit but freezes still persists.. Does somebody here have similar experience or some tip to repair it? I have noticed that Chris in his review mentioned a similar problem… but according to his words it dissapeared. Its extremely annoying.
Factory reset is not helping.
I have the same problem. Trying to get in touch with someone from Jide or Chuwi but not having much luck. think I have a $180 paperweight.
Any chance both of you have microSD card inserted in? If yes, remove the card and see if this helps with alleviating the freezing problem (I know it sounds weird).

Hi! Did you figure out how to connect a keyboard to boot into BIOS?
You can connect a USB keyboard via an OTG adapter. I have the keyboard cover so there was no need to attach an external one.

I got the same issues as well. Freezing
This freezing issue is really really irritating. Tried enabling gfx but doesn't help either. Even when installing an app from the play store. Hope guys at Chuwi are conscious about this because this tablet got a real potential.
I am having the same issues, even with the suggestion in this thread. Yellowflash is correct, has real potential. But if it is freezing non stop its really a huge waste of time and money...

Thanks Tony, that is something I did try as well. It seems to be crashing/freezing the same with our without a Micro SD card present.
Chuwi need to address at least patches to fix these freezing asap. Because imo Remix only should be a pleasant experience on this tablet and not horrible!
This tablet is and will be the last Chinese tablet I'll ever buy.
Try this:
Settings --> Experimental Features--> Enable Launcher file mode.
This was the fix for me. On the down side you'll get kind of a Windows Desktop.

Touchscreen delay - anyone else experience this?

Running the latest global beta 7.6.1 ROM just updated tonight... was same on 7.5.16 too
My Google pixel does not experience this.. It is really bad on games too - like Pixel Gun and Minecraft PE
I have similar stuff happening on 7.5.19 Xiaomi EU ROM. But it doesn't bother me.
Basically, I think the ROM gives some tolerance on how far should the initial movement has gone to unlock the pointer from the initial position. Definitely not a hardware problem.
Does anyone else have this issue? I am thinking about returning my MI6.. can anyone else take a video using the multitouch tester like me, and doing a touch and fine movement on the screen without making the circle move? please help! I really need to know if this is just the phone, or whether mine is faulty. thanks so much in advance

Actually the touch is very sensitive, just the way they decide that if you put down the finger like that, no mistouch (no movement is recorded). Whenever I play game, just push enough and move your finger and I have no problem with that (as a habit of gamers, I don't stiched my fingers on the screen that much).
Actually if you put the finger down and move it a little, it move the circle. But if you hard push for longer, slightly move don't move the circle. Hope you can sort it out.
Sent from my MI 6 using Tapatalk
That's what I have suggested to him too.
There shouldn't be a problem if you immediately move your finger upon touch. It's just if you don't move, it'll create some threshold in order to the cursor to be movable from the initial position.
Does the multitouch works good when you are not holding the phone in the hand? try putting the phone on a pilliow and try using 5 fingers on the screen with this multitouch tester app and see if it recognize all 5 fingers.
I had the nexus 7 2013 and it had that problem :/

There's actually no problems at all touching the screen. its only when I touch then drag, I need to move my finger greater than 5mm for it to recognise the finger is moving - if moving the finger slow... Watch the video I posted in first post and you understand.
In a game, for example. playing a FPS game like Minecraft - you select the block you want to remove and then you swipe your finger from that block to the next its very jerky, because the pointer does not unlock with small finger movement. takes big movement then its unlocked. once unlocked its fine - the whole time I don't lift my finger from the screen..
So its really annoying playing games - because I have to touch the screen, then swipe to unlock the pointer, then I can aim and shoot at the enemy or remove blocks in minecraft.
Some have said its the game, but you can also try with the stock launcher - going between screens of apps, you swipe left or right, it takes 5mm finger movement before the screen starts to move to the next..
I tried the inbuilt Finger touch sensor tester, and the touch and move finger 5mm is represented as 2 pixel dots - instead of a line. so something is farked up in the software. I have 2 x MI6 (bought another to test) and both seems the same... Xiaomi need to fix...
Well my Mi 6 is on the way from GearBest China and when i will get it i will install the Global Rom and will try to do this test with this app and will see if i have the same problem as you.
Purchased mine on Gearbest aswell (international rom), came with 8.0.2.0 upgradeable to 8.2.2.0, I upgraded and I have not this problem at all.
Maybe they fixed it with the latest update?

I also have Nexus 7 2013. The problem was jittery touch when you do multi-touch. It's kinda different problem.
But the case in Nexus 7 2013, it can be fixed by pushing the fix via ADB.
Same here.
But i think the developers want it.
I think it is a feature, not a bug. For better usebility.
Yes lol, a feature that we don't really want exactly like the notification light new feature which is that it only have one color - white.
Hmmm.. Maybe I'll order the OnePlus5 when its out... and use the MI6 as a spare

I tested this, on a friends Xiaomi Rednote 4, the touch delay wasn't there as far as we could see, so it doesen't seem to a feature of MIUI, maybe it's a bug or something.
It was running MIUI 8.1 I believe.
If it is a bug, you should ask Xiaomi to fix it.

Question OnePlus 9 Pro Lineage 19.1 ROM NetHunter Enabled

I picked up a OnePlus 9 Pro, nice phone, and I wanted to run SDR on it but couldn't find a ROM to fit my needs. So, I modified a Lineage 19.1 build to support NetHunter and figured I would share it here in case anyone else was also wanting to do the same.
OnePlus 9 Pro Lineage 19.1 NetHunter Enabled
If you wish to extract the kernel alone, please keep in mind that the VintF compatibility checks were left intact. The compatibility matrices are stored on the System image and you may need that to accompany the kernel.

Sorry for the late reply, thanks for the compliment. I thought that the topic might be ambiguous, but its a lot to mention in a title.
Did you try the build? If so, is it working ok?
When I modified the kernel, I checked to make sure that the required dependencies were also selected, so it should be good to go. NetHunter kept crashing before I made the modifications, but it works on my device now.

No, I haven't. Maybe when I get another 9P I'll give it a shot. My daily OS is parrot so I don't think I'd ever need NH on the go but it's still cool. It has been asked about a bunch of times on here, reddit and github for other devices.
And I just meant the "flair" on the post is set to Green "Question". Most people glance over those if they don't think they have the answer. If you can't change it any longer, I'm sure a mod would be happy to change it for you. And then you can get the proper feedback from multiple people on it also.
Is the 9P included wifi card capable of monitor mode or injection, or are you using an external card for those? I remember installing some stuff in one of my Nexus phones to get my Alfas recognized but I never did finish the job on that device.
Also, do you know if it's possible to take advantage of the Adreno gpu for hashcat? Or if there's a mobile equivalent? I'm not sure if there's an API available for the depth needed for something like that. It would be neat to have the onboard gpu increasing hashcat rates tho . Or for someone to make a pcie adapter and I can just carry a spare battery and a 1080ti around with me when I need cracking on the go

Even if you had a PCIE adapter... getting any video card, 1080ti or otherwise, working on an ARM chip is not realistic as there are no drivers. And even if you could use the GPU for hashcat it would still be very slow.
Why not just spin up a cloud server with an RTX 4090 or few? You can rent them by the hour. For a full day is only around $30. No need to do it locally... you can just use the phone to capture the handshake, crack it in the cloud via the phone and have the cracked password sent back to your phone. Achieves the same thing you're after but much much faster and without the need to crack it locally on very under powered hardware.

Carrying around a 1080 otg was a joke. I thought I made that clear when I said carry around a battery, sorry for the confusion or missed sarcasm.
I have been using pooled resources for cracking for ages. We set up hashtopolis and had a bunch of 1080s. I have a different resource now but that wasn't the question anyway. The question was whether someone had a way to use the onboard Adreno gpu to speed up any calculations on mobile. Something similar to hashcat for mobile.
A full day of 4090 for $30 is super interesting tho, I may look into that and compare some speeds of that vs my current pooled resource.

Ok sorry. Sometimes I take things a bit too literally.
Was almost going to mention hashtopolis but was trying to keep it short. That's cool though.
To at least half answer the actual question... it would seem 3d hardware acceleration is possible on a rooted device in a linux chroot. See mesa 3d library / Turnip + Zink https://github.com/Grima04/mesa-turnip-kgsl

That doesn't answer if it works with hashcat, but probably it will.
Awesome work! I was hoping this would come out soon. Anyone try out any of the features and see what’s working yet? Injection, monitor mode, internal Bluetooth, etc? I’m debating upgrading to an 8 Pro or 9 Pro, but I wanted to see if the stuff from the unofficial 8 Pro kernel was working here yet.
Thank you for building this ROM and kernel. I have tried many times to get the wireless adapters to work with this. Monitor mode works natively if you find the right version of nethunter or install the nethunter lite zip. But it stops working after update && upgrade. I haven't tested the desktop version yet to see if packet injection works in that mode. But testing injection mode by typing sudo aireplay-ng -9 wlan0 doesn't find any APs and injection doesn't work. If someone has gotten it to work can you help me out.
I got the wireless adapters to work after using the firmware module for magisk. Injection works also. Thank you for making this build

I didn't test the hid interfaces or the bluetooth. I did test the packet injection using an Alfa AWUS036NHA. The adapter also still worked after running update and upgrade. After installing the firmware module and restarting. I plugged the adapter in but it didn't light up. So I went to custom commands in the nethunter app and chose start monitor mode on wlan1 and the blue light came right on.

Aha! Thanks for the update. So this is strictly on external Wifi adapters or was both internal and external working? Sorry, I’d test this stuff myself but I haven’t decided whether I’m gonna get a 9 Pro or just get an 8 Pro and use the official release.
Both worked for monitor mode but I don't know if the internal is capable of packet injection. I tried aireplay-ng's injection test and it didn't say injection mode was working, but it did work with the adapter. Are you certain that the internal can inject on the 8 pro? I've been told that the 7 pro was the last that it worked with. But I could be wrong.

Can't you install the Nethunter mod on any device w/Magisk?
I ask bc I've installed it and got chroot installed successfully with different devices as I'm interested in learning to use Kali (been lacking on it tho) but have had problems with newer ROMs on 1+7pro, haven't tried the 9 pro yet but have the device. I like custom heavy OS like crDroid and stuff (certain features I gotta have), so I'm wondering if there is anything specific about this ROM and Nethunter compatibility?
You need the nethunter kernel for packet injection to work properly. This ROM has the kernel built into lineage 19 and everything seems to work fine. The internal WiFi doesn't do injection. But it can be put into monitor mode.
I've got a question:
Is the USB arsenal present on the nethunter app drawer? I'm on Nameless AOSP with nethunter chroot installed and yet I can't access it...
