[Rom][KIW-L24] Stock B331 + Stock.Rooted.Nova.MM.R1 - Honor 5X ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Develo

Alright... here's my Stock rooted version of the latest KIW-L24 B331 - Android 6.0.1 EMUI 4.0 Update
Nothing too fancy just the normal tweaks
everything you expect in a stock, slightly debloated, rooted Rom
To install use the latest TWRP and a normal factory reset is recommended before you flash
This rom contains the /cust directory for US phones it's not recommended to use on anything but the KIW-L24 Updated to B331 anything else will most likely fail to boot
I tested it for 2 days and it's pretty stable no problems here...

Running pretty smooth and have my apps updated. I'm getting an occasional error in the play store just like the B551 deodexed ROM you released.

Dear @clsA,
Actually I'm pretty noob here...
I was thinking if could flash any stock marshmallow on my KII-L21 namely HUAWEI GR5 as you mentioned in your post that the TWRP backup is only for KIW-L24 :/
Can we flash any USA variants MM by any chance?

Any problems running Xposed on MM?

should let us know if it works!

So I just wanted to confirm that I am doing this right...
If I have the B331 stock rom installed and just flashed the latest TWRP, my install steps would be...
1. Log into TWRP
2. Use the normal "wipe" dialog in TWRP.
3. Install stock.rooted.nova.B331.r1.zip.
4. Reboot.
The reason I ask is because I followed those steps and my device was stuck on the "honor" boot screen for almost an hour. I just want to make sure I am doing it right. Thanks!

Did a re-reboot work for you? I ask because I was going to put this on my wife's phone, but after my last failed attempt, I kind of want to make sure I understand anything weird in the process before proceeding.

You mean you need a ROM that will boot on that firmware?
This one will:
http://insertcoin-roms.org/htc-one-m9-custom-rom/
Go to more/older and select 2.1.5 and also get the 2.1.6 Incremental Repack. Flash the full rom first, then flash the 2.1.6 incremental update and you'll have the most current version of the rom for the 1.40 firmware you're running.
can i install another rom? i was trying to install the revolution rom. i had it on my one x

They probably have an older version that will work on 1.40, but I'm not familiar with their rom. Maybe you should ask in the rom thread.
Sorry for bothering you, but i cant make my fone boot with any rom.
I unlocked the bootloader and installed the twrp recovery.
I tried to install many different roms but anyone boot, it freezes on the load screen.

How long are you letting it sit on the white HTC screen? Give it at least 5-10 minutes before you decide its not working.

Were you just not letting it sit long enough at the HTC screen?
New firmware for your device is supposed to be released soon.
You'll have to return to unmodified system image to get the update over the air, or if you're s-off you can just flash it manually. If you're not s-off yet, it costs $25 through an app called sunshine.

It looks like you flashed a ROM for the t805 not the t705.
First let's get you back to stock.
Download the firmware for your device from the link below.
Follow the instructions to install it. This will get you up and running again.

Tbh I think you have a hardware issue.
Now new problem when I try to install twrp it will not do it, If I go into the system recovery and try to do factory reset an error shows as follows
E: unknown volume for path {/sbfs}
E: unknown volume "/sbfs"[/U][/U]
Data wipe complete.
I thought it may be battery related but I have changed to a genuine new battery. still same issue

Oxygen Os fails to install the OTA when detected root ot any changes to system patrition, thus you have to wait for the full zip and dirty flash over the existing. Fairly simple.
I can still do a nandroid backup and restore stock OxygenOS, correct?

You can clean flash. It is a full zip. I have restricted access to it now as I don't see anyone getting the OTA. So, it might be a mistake build. Lol.

Yes, download https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347821137
NOTE, if you click on "UVUBOH1" and not the androidfilehost link in the FW thread, it links you to the wrong FW and you'll flash UVUBNC1! Make sure you click the androidfilehost link underneath UVUB0H1.
Then flash it with odin.
Afterwards let it reboot and upgrade, then odin TWRP back and either restore a nandroid or flash the rom of your choosing
Oh also, if you're still on 4.1 and on a touchwiz rom, you may want to factory unlock it before you upgrade.. Just because you can. Follow the unlock thread on here

Was quite a bit of trouble at first . I managed to download and flash the software. flashed TWRP via odin.
Then through TWRP, I rooted by using the Knox remover zip (as i was on official 4.3, my service signal did shoot up to normal again!). Installed SuperSU.
Now when I try to flash any ROM via TWRP it gives errors such as "Status 7", or error reading MD5 when I try to backup software.

I have finally managed to figure it out. You need to completely format the entire ROM currently installed from your phone. Once that is done, you can add any ROM to install properly. I'm running well on OctOS-N 3/17/2017 build.
Thanks all for your help.

Don't own this device so a few questions.

Okay, so, one of my friends has a OnePlus 3 and it disappointed in the battery life after the Nougat update, he wants to roll back to Marshmallow.
So,
1. Is rolling back to Marshmallow possible after a Nougat update? Are there any risks for flashing Marshmallow on Nougat's bootloader?
2. Can someone tell me what is the latest stable (don't want betas) Oxygen OS based off Marshmallow.

I did, but I wanted an opinion from XDA first. This website is a much more reliable source.

Remember that op3/3t N have f2fs file system which is unsupported on 3.2.8 (MM). You'll either have to use an old version of custom kernel (I think only bluspark supported f2fs at that time) or convert to ext4 in twrp. Other than that there should be no issue with flashing 3.2.8 over N

Yes.
My friend who's downgrading is completely unhappy with the Nougat battery life. Basically his screen on time got slashed down by one hour.
Yeah I know that's why I gave you link to marshmallow. I'm using it. Nogout need more time

Wrong. This applies to stock and so the change of file system is necessary.
