Why my One plus 3 can not screen mirror on Philips tv? - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I have a Philips 6700 series smart TV that comes with miracast out of the box...I could screen mirror on it by my previously used galaxy note 3...but after buying one plus 3 I can not do it using CAST feature...it says step 1 then step 2 then connected.starting playback then blacks out for a moment then says "failed to playback.try again using oneplus 3"...updated the TV software but had no luck even hard reseted the op3 but nothing changed...i also tried with my friend's oneplus one and it mirrored flawlessly...I then went to a shop tried it with a Sony TV it said "failed to register" with op3 ( my other friend's Samsung Galaxy s7 edge gave the same issue btw)..then tried with another Sony TV and my oneplus 3 finally could mirror it's screen using CAST feature...then I tried with a bunch of Samsung TV and all of which connected and mirrored my op3 screen flawlessly... then I again tried with a Philips smart TV it again failed with same procedure and gave the same message "failed to playback....." but s7 edge mirrored flawlessly
I am using oneplus A3000 variant(non rooted)...I love this phone...but I also love the screen mirroring...I really need it to work on my Philips TV....can anybody help me?

I am facing the same issue with my oneplus 3.

[Q] Samsung galaxy dock

I have LG 42 inch tv, and has blu ray player as well. problem is sometimes video files don't play LG USB connect/blu ray player. but video plays fine in NOTE 2. so i am thinking to connect NOTE 2 to tv and also use extarnal USB hard disk to NOTE 2 at same time. I googled and found "Galaxy Universal Multimedia Desktop Dock" can do the work. question is if i watch movie from NOTE 2 to TV using dock and files in external USB hard disk, will picture quality be same in TV?
sorry for bad English

Dual Shock 4 + Chromecast mirroring = killer app

I managed to get this working and I'm really surprised the ds4 works natively via OTG cable (couldnt get wireless working).
1. connect ds4 via otgcable
2. use this if the controller doesn't instantly work
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.homesoft.otgtroubshooter
3. start favorite game or emulator
4. press cast screen under the quick settings
can confirm it works with leos fortune.. enjoy
btw im stock rooted 4.4.4 but i don't think you need root for this...
Isn't the lag huge using this method? Games like sonic or Mario would be near unplayable

Curious about this as well. I would think any Chromcast/Miracast type technology would have too much lag based on controller input to screen lag..
mario kart is playable... this isn't my video but i also tested with leos fortune and its playable too

In one of the latest PS4 firmware updates, it added a pair function to the DS4 controller so you can use the controller with a PS3 too, and I just tried it with my Nexus 7 2013 and it paired instantly through bluetooth WITHOUT having to use any 3rd party app
- When the DS4 is off, press and hold the Share button and the PS Button and it enters pairing mode
- Search for bluetooth devices with your phone/tablet and it came up straight away as Wireless Controller
:highfive:
I've tried to play "Need for Speed: Most Wanted" via Chromecast and a controller...: About 1-1,5 second lag, Quality drops extremely and ther's no Sound....

I love you for this! I got it working on my Nexus 7 2013 using the Android L preview...
No luck on my Samsung Note 3. It just says pairing.. and doesn't do much.
Either way, thank you very much for this info!

It really depends on your network tremendously. My friends miracast has a ton of lag while on my chromecast there is less than a half second lag, sonic was very playable, except for the random moments of lag.

I've got 150Mb/s, shoud be enough for that. Other (more powerful) things work seamlessly over the same network
I'm having an issue with wirelessly pairing my dualshock 4 to my nexus 7 2013. When I enable pairing mode on the controller, the light will blink on it and it'll show up on the tablet. I tap 'pair' on the tablet and it pairs successfully, but the light on the controller continues to blink, then it eventually stops blinking. Again, it states that it's paired on the tablet, but I can't actually use the controller.
Any ideas?

Display mirroring issue, fire tv stick

Hi there, I have a problem with this fire tv stick, when I do display mirroring from my android smartphone (sony xperia), the screen works well but no sound at all, not a single sound from that. I tried changing the audio setting (dolby on, off, dolby plus and that thing) with no solution and the correct wifi configuration too. Maybe the the insufficient power source? (well, the stick didn't show any power dialog on my tv) or the latest firmware installed? or the blocked ota update on router? or internet speed?
I don't know what to try next, I tested on two devices with the same result and pc can't recognize this tv stick.
Any idea what to do?
Or another way to cast screen mirroring or chromecast receiver app? (I tried youmap but it doesn't work).

Lenovo P2a42 Miracast / Cast screen

Hi, I would like to know if Lenovo P2 can connect to car audio system with Miracast?
Can someone screenshot your Lenovo P2 Cast screen option?
Does it have Super cast? 3 dots to enable Wireless Display?
Thanks. :good:
I have cast to my fire TV with no problems.
It does have super cast.
I have also used android auto in my car.
Can I see the screenshot of the cast screen?
I am so on to this P2 phone, just afraid of some hiccups.
Here you go.
Supercast is extra menu....
P2 has extra feature for casting to smart TV, i.e. Supercast.
The Supercast has extra commands to turn-off the screen while not affecting casting (and save energy too...), can convert P2 screen to become mouse pointer and also virtual remote for the smart TV....
I just checked with cheap 10$ Mirascreen dongle. Cast work OK
P2 + 360 VR + Chromecast = Excitement to all...

USB-C to HDMI issues on OOS 10.0.9

As the title states, I'm on the most recent build of oxygen is and using a USB-C to HDMI adapter the phone displays for one second then stops casting. I'm casting to a Samsung 4k tv and it just struggles. I've tried on a 1080p monitor and it works fine but I intended for use on the bigger TV. Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this issue. I tried downgrading my launcher back to the previous version. The one I was on was the latest available on apk mirror. Before I disabled the experimental desktop mode and freeform windows. the phone would show the desktop on the tv but nothing would display. Netflix would launch and freeze up.
Tl;Dr phone is acting up when using usbc to HDMI adapter need help or ideas on how to fix. Might get another adapter
