How to install 6.0 Marshmallow on D855 v21a - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm trying to understand how can I install Marshmallow and root my v21a version but I don't get It at all. All what I found is about v30b or something similar, so, Is there someone who would like to explain me what I need to download and install because I don't want something to go wrong with my phone. Also I don't understand differences between global and europe versions, I live in Serbia (Europe) but my phone is v21a-TWN-XX (twn means Taiwan I think, I searched on google)

Marshmallow hasn't been released for TWN-XX yet. The last update was 21 a. However, you can flash a Hong Kong firmware since it belongs to the same region as Taiwan does. I did it last year, and it has been working almost flawlessly.

help required for installing TWRP recovery.
Hi Guys
I have D855-HkG version with v10o kitkat version install, very uncommon version over lg g3. I want to move on lollipop but i didn't receive any OTA update. However, found new update after connecting with LG PC suite. Now i want to keep save my kitkat version too with modem settings, so that i can keep save my LTE carrier. but for that i need to install custom recovery.(TWRP). I have unrooted my phone quickly but not able to find TWRP version for D855 HKG version. Is HKG version and International 855 version same.? Any threats for installing TWRP / soft brick chances?
I will appreciate any help.
Looking forward for reply.

Hboot 3.16 = 1.x firmware, which won't work for any of the more recent Sense ROMs.
You can only officially update the AT&T version to hboot 3.17 (2.x firmware) which doesn't really help matter much as far as the current ROMs.
My suggestion is s-off by sunshine, which will allow you to flash 3.x or 4.x firmware as needed by the particular ROM.
Or wait until AT&T gets rolling with some OTAs (don't hold your breath).

Files were released in error for a short time, but then subsequently pulled: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58313915&postcount=156
In any case, if the OP is trying to run the current ARHD, which needs 4.x software. So Android 4.4.4 update (firmware 3.x) still won't help, and he will still suffer long boot times.
If you are stuck with AT&T, this should give you a sense of how long you can expect to wait for Lollipop...

wifi won't turn on

I've just experienced a collapse in my phone's functionality and I have no idea why. It is a standard HTC build without root or any other modifications like S-OFF.
I updated to Marshmallow in January and have been using it without a problem. Than, a few days ago I suddenly couldn't start the Settings app as it kept crashing. As part of this problem I also couldn't start WiFi or Bluetooth. I tried safe mode but it didn't help at all.
Eventually I decided to do a factory reset, cache wipe and removed the SD card, but this didn't fix my phone. It now doesn't start up properly, with the following messages:
Android is starting
Starting Apps
Failed to load driver. reason: unknown error (19)
It then shows lots of messages for apps that have stopped.
I haven't any idea why this happened but I think there must be some way I can fix it myself, rather than send it back to HTC. Has anyone any suggestions?

Reading all your posts actually quite confusing ... in some ROM threads you mentioned you have Verizon device but here you have a Intl GSM device.
Your second screenshot show an outdated firmware installed (the bootloader) but the third screenshot show a Marshmallow firmware installed. Which is which now ?
If the problem is based on the second screenshot ... just run the latest EU MM RUU to update the firmware and the ROM.
If the problem is based on the third screenshot ... install again the latest EU MM RUU to fix whatever problem that you have.
And you already have the latest EU MM RUU based on your first screenshot

verizon is not my first device, it's different. this is Intl GSM device.
currently Marshmallow 6.12.401.4 installed.
I installed all the ROMs and firmwares in the picture.
I install the ROM update utility method. but WiFi won't turn on. I installed many times with 0p6bimg.
When I installed the 4.4.3 RUU version is going to restart the cycle.

Moto Z2 force XT1789-03 update help

My Z2 force software channel is Sprint, sim of all carriers work. It doesn't have any sprint bloatware . It is stuck on Android 7.1.1 with Sep, 2017 security patch. Upon checking for update it says its up to date. I just want to update my android to latest version (stock rom only) with the latest security patch released. Would appreciate if someone could provide me the rom and update and also give some guidance. My bootloader is unlocked.

Just use Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant, guy (of course Motorola and Google driver installed). It's the easiest method to get newest Oreo.
Or go to Development or Guide thread and search the firmware for Sprint variant.

Ok, since LMSA didn't support my device for flashing, I'll be flashing the rom myself.
Would highly appreciate if you could just answer these questions.
1) What happens if use a sprint rom for a differnt SKU (not for XT1789-03)
2) Will I get sprint bloatware with the rom update. (Currently, I have none)
3) Currently I am using my country's sim/carrier. Will this update lock my sim to sprint or create network problems?
1. It can cause problems or not. This depends on variant or ROM: Sprint single sim can be flashed the Retail dual sim ROM (with bootloader unlocked); you may flash a Verizon (or ATT) ROM to your unlocked bootloader Retail one but you can not do versa.
2. Variant stock fw will have some bloatwares (more or less). Retail seems having no bloatware. I dont know about other variant (T-mobile, US cellular...).
3. If your phone is carrier unlocked one (like my ATT), flashing fw causes no problem. I have heard someone had some issues one 4G or else, but my Sprint one (the dead one) had no problem.
Good luck!
i have the same problem with my sprint z2 force model XT1789-03 and i want to update my phone
let me know please if you find any solution without causing device any problem

I successfully updated to stock android 8.0(retail version) with zero issues. I followed this guide's Part E
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2-force/how-to/guides-bootloader-twrp-custom-roms-root-t3805737
You can either go for sprint stock ROM or Retail ROM.
Do i have to unlock my bootloader and do i need to root my mobile?

Question LE2120 IN Version

So I bought a oneplus 9 pro from a dude yesterday for 500 bucks which is an absolute steal. I unfortunately however have the Indian version of the software (Oxygen OS 11.2.10.10.LE15DA)(Model: LE2120) so none of my 5g bands are working, which is the main reason I upgraded.
1.) Yes I know there's a very popular forum about how to flash the global version of oxygenOS but the thread gets posted in and updated constantly with different info from different people so it's harder to follow.
I need the following:
1.) Previous IN Oxygen build to downgrade.
2.) Current Global OxygenOS Version to upgrade.
I know doing this can wipe your data but the phone is a day old so I don't have any data. I can easily switch IMEI numbers through TMobile app as well so I'm not worried about that changing if it does. I just want the correct versions of the ROMS so I don't up/downgrade to the wrong versions and critically mess it up. Any help is appreciated and thank you!
If I'm incorrect with any of the information I provided please correct me as well. I truly appreciate any information on this topic!
Can you post your phone info, I got my from clicking on settings>about phone
I know you already mentioned it in the text, but a picture would help.

Flashing a global/europe firmware wont fix your 5G. You need to do some extra step and need to be rooted to get the 5G back. And 2120 it's Chinese version which comes with Color OS as primary but sellers found a way to flash Indian firmware there and flashed and sold the phone.
Below you will find LE15DA Indian downgrade to 11.2.5.5 link: https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OnePlu...110_all_2107082121_downgrade_66a1f653e8ee4eb5
Downgrade to this and then install European firmware but wont get back 5G anyway try.
