Suddenly my Zenfone 2 earpiece and mic don't seem to be working. There is no sound heard when there is a call and the other person is also not able to hear me. Could it be a software or hardware issue? The SIM works in another mobile.

Earlier this year I took apart my phone to replace the screen.
Ever since around then(not sure if it coincided with my repair or not), my microphone doesn't work in speakerphone. It works fine on normal calls, but if I have speakerphone on no one can hear me.
I would have thought this would be a software problem, not a hardware issue. Is there any way to fix this?
When I make calls with speaker on, I can hear the other person but they can't hear me. Just started doing this. Also, Bluetooth speaker has also stopped working, any ideas...?

I had the same problem with the speaker on and no one being able to hear me. Turned out to be a defective phone in my case. Apparently there must be a different mic used for speakerphone calls vs regular calls. Since you also have a bluetooth issue, maybe your problem is different than mine.
just tried hard reset and its still the same, will have to send it back under warranty, major hassle

i have LG g3 D855 sprint version.
i found the microphone not working during call but if i use speaker phone it works flawless even for video recording it is recording the voice.
except for normal call and voice recording the microphone not detect the sound or what i dont know.
i checked with other sound recorder also not sensing the sound but if i blow on the mic area it sences the sound.
what could be the problem?

This just started happening to me today out of nowhere. Were you able to resolve this issue? It had been working fine for 6 months prior.

have a problem with my HTC 10 when I make standard call there is no any problems, but when I switch call to loudspeaker people tell that they can't hear me, phone usually lie on the desk during this calls.
Is this hardware issue, or software? I use Viper ROM. This phone have two microphones right, which one is used with loud speaker call?
Hello, the same speaker like without Loudspeakermode. Try another ROM at first Stockrom, shouldn't help this i recommend to contact your seller.
speaker no matter if phone is at the ear or call is in "speaker" mode works without any problem,
my problem is with microphone but only on "speaker" mode because then other side can't hear me.
to resolve it, I've bored out the microphone hole on the bottom of the case enough to make sure the mic is fully exposed and that appears to have done the trick.
Anyone have this issue?? I'm on Sprint with a 3xl. Calls work fine but when I put it on speaker it's just silent.
