Huge battery loss. Heat issue?

It was a really hot day today and my phone was getting pretty warm as well, so I popped out my battery for about 3-5 minutes.
When I put it back in, I saw that I lost 10 percent (84 to 74) in that short amount of time.
Was it the heat? what happened? I'm back home where it's pretty cool and battery drain seemed normal..
I'm on stock rom kernel, everything

Stock S3 Has poor and constantly changing Battery life

So, my phone's battery life is overall quite poor for the most part. some days it absolutely burns through my battery with little phone use, and other days it gets decent battery. i downloaded better battery stats, and for example. today my phone drained at about 10%/hour, but yesterday for example it drained at about 3%/hour. And today i did not even use my phone that much. Please help, as this is getting really annoying.
Here are some screenshots of my battery stats on two bad battery days

I know it looks like dolphin burned alot of battery, but that it just because it was practically the only application i opened and i used it for a couple minutes which i normally wouldn't do. then i few hours later, this was where my batter was at, and i swear i pretty much did not even touch my phone at all! http://imgur.com/NIfYnkl

Yeah I noticed something interesting as well. I have two batteries for my GS3, one is the stock battery that came with the phone and the other is a 4200 mAh battery from Hyperion Electronics. I decided to test each battery by charging each to 100% on different nights and not touching the phone overnight to see what my battery drain was
Night 1, I tested the stock battery and over night I went from 100% to 40% in a span of about 8 hours. That's a 60% decrease.
Night 2, I tested the Hyperion battery and over night I went from 100% to 98%. A total of 2% decrease in the same span of time.
Now yes I understand that the Hyperion battery is essentially 2x the battery capacity as stock, but just by simple ratios you'd think that since the stock was a 60% decrease that the Hyperion battery would be a 30% decrease, but it's not. The Hyperion battery is literally 1/30th of a drain than was the stock battery.
Something's wrong here and I wish someone could give a straight answer as to why these two batteries are demonstrating dramatically different results.

The Battery Drastically Drained in seconds!

Hi guys. Im new here. I just wanna share about my Z1 compact latest battery problem kinda frustrated me lately.
I bought the phone 2-3 months ago, already with Android Lollipop 5.0.2. Since the purchase, I didnt really face a problem with the battery life as it lasted about 12 hours per charge due to my heavy usage of the phone.
But a few days lately, my phone being worrying me as the battery doesnt being as normal as always. For example, it can drain the battery drastically from 88% to 67% in a few seconds when the screen is off (in standby mode). Sometimes, in the middle of the usagefrom 39%, the phone suddenly shows the battery low warning with a 1% battery remaining, and without having enough time to reach the charger, it shuts down by itself.
In rare cases, I caught my phone drained the battery drastically when the screen is still on from 15% to 1% less in a minute.
The phone wasnt rooted and I didnt anything else besides my daily normal usage. The latest apps I downloaded before the problem occurred is Waze.
I tried everything to save the battery like using the Stamina Mode, force stops some apps, slides away all of the running apps in the background but failed. I even factory reset my phone and installed all the apps the way it used to be but still didnt solved the problem.
I still have about 8 monts of Sony warranty but I need you guys help first because I need to use my phone for work right now. Please help and reply.
Thank you. *Sorry if my English isnt that good*
When the battery jumps from 39% to 1%... Does it stay a long time at 39%? Or from 39 to 1 in few minutes?
Just curious...
Sounds like a warranty issue to me. You could try to find out what is causing heavy drain like with BetterBatteryStats. But no app ever should cause such drains.
Sound more like your battery is not okay.
welcome to the battery drop bug

The exactly same problem with me .I have 100% battery and indicator stays 100% for a half hour than drastically drains to 1% and shuts down.
Change your battery! I had the same Problem. I changed my battery with anotherone original from Sony, but a few weeks later the same Problem: quickly battery drain.
So I ordered me a battery from e-bay but NOT one from Sony! Now a few weeks later still NO Problems. Everything runs Ok now. NO battery drain at all.

Zenwatch affecting phone battery life?

Hi everyone...
First off, a little background.
I bought my Galaxy S6 a couple of months ago. Battery life on it was fantastic... overnight, I'd drop maybe 1-1.5% per hour.
Then I bought a Zenwatch, which I absolutely love. What a great accessory! Unfortunately, its had a fairly negative effect on my phone battery life. Now, overnight, my phone battery will drop 3-4% per hour. Doesn't seem like like a lot, but over 7 hours, thats a difference of 15-20%.
Last night, just for kicks, I turned off bluetooth on my phone overnight, and it returned to 1-1.5% per hour again.
Is this normal behavior? I thought the fact that it uses BLE should really make this a non-issue.
(Yes, it could be a non-Zenwatch issue, I'll be trying other things over time... just thought I'd start with what seems most obvoius)
Thanks!

Ridiculous battery drain? (10% overnight, on standby)

I left my phone over night, with 20% when I put it away, I woke up and it had 10% of battery left.
This happened few times already, I've also noticed huge battery drain on standby (I charged my phone up to 100% today at 10am, at 12:20 it's already down to 97% even though I didn't do anything with it)
Anyone knows what could be the case? I've also checked wakelocks with wakelock detector, but didn't find anything that seemed out of the ordinary.
In battery stats Android OS and "Phone inactive" take the 3 top positions.
I'm on OxygenOS 3.2.2 /w root
If you compare to an iphone, yes 10% loss overnight on standby is a lot. iphone are good on standby.
For an android phone, I would say that it's quite normal, I had phone (Nexus 4 I think) that lose more than 10% in 6 hours in standby.
Try to put in plane mode overnight, maybe you'll see a difference.
But 10% overnight, I don't call it a battery drain. And if you are moving, it can explain your 3% in 2 hours. In the battery stat, if you touch the graph, it will show other graph stat, the GSM signal bar show how much the signal change and how much battery the phone have to use to search for the signal (the less consistant the bar is, the more the battery is drained).
How was your reception overnight? If not green, that may be your issue
lol you think thats bad trying using a xperia z1 or z2 i think i got dodgy phones but they was pathetic for battery life even on stand by i was loosing 12-14% even with there so called stamina mode.
lesson i learned never buy a sony or samsung phone again granted samsung i like better than sony phones at least they have some form of audio quality heck even iphone sounded better than my xperia z1 and z2 lasted longer on battery than them aswell but not as long as my oneplus 3 is so happy with it
